The serial Jai Shri Krishna on Colors moved away from the child like cute stage some months ago, and started showing the older, teenager age Krishna. In this age, he started showing more of his powers and god behavior, getting rid of the snake Kaaliya from the river (the snake was poisoning the water of the river); it was also becoming clear that his uncle (the ruler of Mathura, Kans) was determined to destroy him by any means. However, none of these plans were successful.
Finally, the inevitable happened. Kans calls Krishna to Mathura, identifying him as his nephew, something that Yashoda would not have easily accepted; however, it was the destiny of Lord Krishna to finally meet Kans, and so it happened. Krishna, accompanied by his brother Balram, finally went to Mathura, and withstood all attempts by Kans to destroy him. Eventually, Krishna over-powered Kans in a single battle, and along with Balram, takes over the running of Mathura.

Jai Sri Krishna: Finally the character grows up
Jai Sri Krishna is another version of the mythological serial, this one appearing on Colors at 8:30 in the evening on weekdays. The serial has been showing an extended series of episodes portraying Sri Krishna in a young version; now, the serial is finally changing to show the Lord in a older, teenage version.
The kid who plays the young character is extremely cute, giving an angelic portrayal as the young god, who knows his powers and uses them for the good of mankind. His demonic uncle (mother's brother) knows that this is the kid who will eventually kill him and sends all manners of demons, asuras, monsters, snakes, etc to kill him, but all of them fail in their duty (either being killed by the young god, or shown the error of their ways and going back convinced that the young one is the ultimate savior of mankind).
The serial also attempts to portray some social evils and how the God tries to improve society; so you the case of Lord Krishna convincing people that there is no such thing as upper caste or lower caste; in another sequence the Lord gets reconciliation between a mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law; he also consoles a mother when she is about to die and arranges to take care of her son.
Now, with the Lord being shown in a slightly more grown up state, one can expect that there will be the move to Mathura where Krishna will leave Gokul and his adopted parents, fight Kans and win, and then the real story will start going up to the war between the Pandavas and Kauravas.

Jai Shri Krishna on Colors Channel
Serials on mythological subjects such as the Mahabharat, Ramayan, Shri Krishna, etc, tend to be very popular. From a smaller number of such serials earlier, now we have more serials, with serials on Mata Vaishno Devi, serials on Sai Baba, and many others. There have been many serials on the past related to one of the most important mythological and religious characters, Lord Krishna. There is another serial on the same subject that is becoming fairly popular, called Jai Shri Krishna. The serial is made by Sagar Arts, and appears on Color TV at 8:30 PM weekdays (8 AM in the morning). The serial started on July 21st, 2008.
The serial is probably the most detailed look at the childhood of Shri Krishna, since the show is still focused on the childhood of Shri Krishna. A lot of other shows show the childhood of Shri Krishna within 10-12 episodes, but this show is taking a much longer time, and showing many more things. The serial shows in more detail the attempts made by Kans on the life of Shri Krishna when he was an infant and a young boy, employing many different methods to try and kill the young boy, but failing everytime. The show has shown many different demons, birds and the like trying to kill Shri Krishna but failing everytime.
There is a lot more detail shown about the frustration of Kans about his inability to kill the young boy, especially when Krishna appears in front of him and Kans cannot do anything about it (and the others cannot see Krishna). There is a lot more focus on the antics of Krishna, including his divine connection to Radha, his playfulness, his devotion to his mother Yashoda, and his connection with the Gopis. Overall, to many the serial may seem a bit slow, but there is a lot of focus on the younger Krishna, and one would expect a lot of people also to be devoted to this serial.
