Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon - Pabbo and Dipali trying to stop Madhu from becoming the heroine

As usual, you would expect that the show would have a lot of drama before something happens. That has been the case with the serial, since before showing that something major happens, there will be a lot of suspense, Dipali will be involved in trying to prevent whatever Madhu and RK are trying to do, and so on. However, even though they come to know that Diplali is involved, they do not prevent her from doing so, and since each time, there is no punishment, you can be sure that the character of Dipali will continue in her quest to give them trouble and cause problems when they are trying to do so. Even otherwise, even though they show RK as very arrogant, he has let his step-father stay in the house even though his step-father was the one who was instrumental in preventing RK from working in the films industry and because of which he had to his own movie. So, finally RK, being a superstar, decided that he would produce a movie himself and set about arranging matters for the movie.
He asked Bittuji to set about arranging finance, and for the huge amount that was required, had to say that the house had to be set a security for the loan, which is a matter of risk since that meant if the movie was to fail to make enough money, then his house would be taken away to pay for the loan. He asked an actress for playing the role of the heroine, but she was already talking to the film producer who wanted to teach RK a lesson, and finally she refused to act in the movie. At this, finally RK decided that he already had somebody in the house who could become a heroine, and said that Madhu would be the heroine of the movie (the advantage is that there will be some more costs that are cut because of casting her as the main heroine).
However, Dipali is very against this movie, since it would significantly enhance the status of Madhu, especially if the movie was successful. Madhu on the other hand was agreeable to do this since RK's movie was in a problem and she felt it was her duty to support RK in this. It was after all a movie that he was producing. Initially, Pabbo was fine with this movie but after her guruji said something about this, and then Dipali also spent time with her to persuade her otherwise, she became dead set against this move to make Madhu the lead actress of the movie, and also spoke about this to RK. However, RK was not ready to initially listen to her about this, and said that Madhu was only doing her duty towards RK by becoming a part of the movie, and he would not listen to anybody speaking against Madhu. At this, Pabbo left the table and went to her room.
Later RK and Madhu went to her room so that they apologize for anything that could have hurt her, but found that she was not there. They started a hunt to find her, and finally Madhu found her in a temple and brought her back to the house, although she refused another attempt by Pabbo that Madhu not work in the movie. In the end, it is shown that Pabbo and Dipali join hands to stop Madhu from becoming the heroine of the movie.

Hindi TV Serial - Jodha Akbar - Jodha married to Akbar, comes into the harem

A serial on Jodha Akbar is always going to be controversial, but with the success of Devon Ke Dev, there was again a quest for having serials based on mythology or history, and so Ekta Kapoor comes up with the idea of having a serial based on the story of Jodha Akbar. Now, even when the film came up, there was a controversy since the historical record of that time really does not prove that such a story of the immense love between the Mughal emperor Jalal Akbar and a Rajput princess Jodha; and sections of the Rajput community see such a story as besmirching the warrior reputation of the Rajputs. After all, the Rajputs have a long history of fighting with the Mughals, but at the same time, there were many cases of Rajput rulers choosing to make peace with the Mughals (or the Delhi Sultanate before them), and one of the strongest ways of forming an alliance was through marriages, so getting a daughter married off to a Mughal ruler was seen as forming a strong alliance.

The history of the Mughal emperor Akbar was a violent one. His father, Humayun, had been toppled off his throne by Sher Shah Suri and had to spend a large amount of time traveling from one place to another, trying to mobilise an army to take back his kingdom. As a result, the birth of Akbar was during the time he was wandering, and much of his childhood was spent as his father was fighting, and even when Humayun did manage to win back his kingdom, he died soon after and a young Jalal had become the ruler. Thus, he was supposed to have become a very hard person, not prone to showing gentleness, and would give ultimatums to rival kingdoms that either they accepted him as their ruler, or else he would fight them, and then there would be no mercy. This is what happened to the ruler of Amer, who decided to accept the emperor Jalal as their ruler and decided that the young Jodha would also become another wife of Jalal, he already having a harem with other wives.

So, Jodha is not very happy about this, but there is very little choice, after all, the safety of her kingdom is at stake. She however asks Jalal to promise that she will be allowed to remain a Hindu, and will also have her god with her at her palace in Jalal's palace so that she can pray to her god. He agrees to both of these conditions, but otherwise he does not care too much. His mother on the other hand hopes that this feisty Rajput princess will finally break the coldness of her son's heart and make him a better man. So, finally Jodha comes to the palace for the wedding, with her presence causing the chief wife of Jalal, Queen Ruqaiya, to think that she also needs to bring this young wife of the emperor to quickly learn her place in the palace and understand that it is Queen Ruqaiya, who is the head of the harem and the person to whom Jalal goes to. On another problem is Mahamanga who is the one who has provided advice to Jalal from the beginning, and who also does not like the presence of Jodha in the palace and who tells Ruqaiya that she will work with her to show this new wife her place and ensure that she is embarrassed. 

Hindi TV Serial - Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha - Finally Munna arrested, Megha identifies him as Addu

There is a recent news report that the serial is losing some of its TRP's, and that is partly because the interaction between the lead pair of Mohan and Megha, which was the high point of the serial were getting diluted due to the other stories that were happening in the serial, including that of Navika and Beera, and that of Munna / Addu. So there will be lesser focus on these characters, and more focus again on Mohan and Megha (but that seems a bit off, how often can you only keep on focusing on the lead pair, you need to have stories of the other characters, especially the lead pair, to ensure that there is enough turnover in the storyline, else you will get a serial as slow as Saraswatichandra, which has one story that would continue for 6 months or more).
Munna (who is actually Addu) has promised to take revenge on Mohan for his belief that he was a bad step-father, and it was because of him that Addu had to run away from home, and got kidnapped and fell into this entire racket of crime and kidnapping. So he has been trying for quite some time to do ill on Mohan, and finally managed to get Mohan to jail. However, when the doctor of the mental institution was coming to give evidence in favor of Mohan, Munna tried to shoot him. At this, Beera started fighting him to prevent Munna from stopping the doctor, and finally the doctor's evidence was enough to get Mohan bail and out of jail.
In Daddaji's house, they finally tell Beera that Daddaji is actually a hard core criminal, the one who runs the racket of kidnapping kids, and that Munna is one of his chief workers. Beera is shocked, since he does not know about this, and tells Daddaji that he will reveal this truth to everybody and ensure that the name of Daddaji as the face of this racket comes out in front of everyone, and that he is leaving the house right now. Ragini does not come with him because of her association with Munna, although Beera does tell her that she is making the wrong choice.
Due to the efforts of Beera, the police come and arrest Daddaji, and are set of arrest Munna. But he has run away, and to the surprise of everyone, Mohan tries to prevent the arrest of Munna, but police follow soon after and try to arrest Munna. Munna runs off in a police jeep, but then Megha stands in his way and he has to stop to prevent hitting her. So finally Megha and Munna are in front of each other, and when police say that somebody has to do the identification of Munna, Megha speaks up and says that he is a kidnapper, and is also Aditya Bhatnagar, her long lost son, but whom she no longer recognizes for what he has become.

Hindi TV Serial - Anamika - Rano dies to save Jeet from Anamika

The serial is trying to best to be different. For a few days, the viewers of the serial would have thought that they were in Raaz, where the ghost was doing its best to get the hero (although the hero in this case had not committed adultery, but instead had been drawn in by the magic done by Anamika). But the twist is seen in the current days, where instead of breaking the spell of the witch (actually Anamika is shown as a witch, but since she had died and come back, I am not sure about the difference between a witch and a ghost in this case), the heroine is given a chance to prevent the witch from dragging off her husband by evening, and does so at the cost of her life.
So, things have reached a point where they are very serious. Anamika was able to get hold of Jeet a couple of times, but Rano managed to get back Jeet every time. And then she got married to Jeet in a temple, while being aware that something strange is going on. There is a fog that is seen outside a window and near a tree, and the family dog starts barking outside even though there is nobody there who can be seen. Priests are there to help in the functions, but these priests are killed by Anamika. Anamika uses these priests by getting in them and use their voices to call Rano to different locations.
Anamika also causes a lot of problems to Rano, when she gets inside Rano soon after marriage and causes her to behave strangely. For example, Rano speaks in a harsh way to her mother-in-law when she says something, and soon after marriage, no one would expect their daughter-in-law to speak badly to them, especially somebody you have known for some time. There is some tension between the mother of Rano and Jeet after this. Further, Rano's mother gets a heart attack when she is trying to catch hold of Rano when Anamika is inside her, and then suddenly her hand starts increasing in length till it is very long. In a dance function, Rano starts dancing weirdly, and the next day when Anamika is not there, Rano sees the video of the dance and is shocked to see herself.
Finally Rano takes the help of Shalaka, who acts against these witches and ghosts. She uses her powers to capture a small bit of hair of Anamika and then captures Anamika inside a mirror and buries the mirror in the ground. However, this hair soon goes out of control, and then Shalaka finds that the ground has been disturbed and the mirror is broken with Anamika no longer visible. She is shocked and tells Rano that they will need to do the quest of finding her body in the lake and burn it; now that Anamika has escaped after being trapped, she will be more powerful, and this time she will be able to catch Jeet and they will not be able to prevent this unless they get rid of her body before dusk.
Rano goes to the lake and has managed to find the body, but there is a fight between her and Anamika with Anamika using the weeds to try and prevent Rano from destroying the body, with Rano trying to strike the body with a dagger that will destroy Anamika. In the end, Rano prevents Anamika from being powerful enough to take Jeet, but loses her life in the process.

Hindi TV Serial - Punar Vivaah - Yash and Aarti planning to marry SP and Radha but ..

The presence of Akash in the house finally claimed a major victim, with Gayathri bowing out of the serial. Actually, the actress who was playing the role of Gayathri was suffering an illness and needed to get out of the serial, and so the serial finally planned an exit for her. They changed her behavior in the serial, causing her to become more and more in favor of Akash and against Yash and Aarti, to the extent that it almost seemed that she wanted to get rid of them. If anything happened, she would take the side of Akash, and threatened to throw boiling hot water on Aarti because somebody had thrown water on Akash (ignoring the fact that Aarti is supposed to be pregnant). Finally, the serial showed her dying, and this was traumatic to everyone in the house.
Now, the serial shows Yash and Aarti trying to figure out what should be next. Their father is now alone, and is still of an age where he needs a companion and there is somebody already there with whom he was in love a long time back and had a child with as well (Yash). So, both Aarti and yash come up with this idea, and decide that they will try and make this a reality. However, there is a new villain in the house, in the form of Ishita, who overhears this, and decides that she will prevent this from happening. She hates Yash and Aarti (or rather wants Yash, but does not like the fact that he is dedicated to Aarti).
So she creates a scene in the house which will scandalize everyone and prevent this sort of marriage from happening. She drugs Radha, and causes her to land up in SP's bed in her drugged state, and then brings the entire household there. SP cannot believe how this came to happen, denies any knowledge of what has happened, the same with Radha. Buaji scolds Radha incredibly, hard enough that Radha comes back to her room and wonders about what is happening to her life. On the other hand, Yash and Aarti cannot believe that Radha or their father can do something like this, and want to find out who is responsible for this.

Hindi TV Serial - Parichay - Siddhi injured in the face, does not want to face Kunal

This must be the second or third time that something major has happened to separate Kunal and Siddhi, and then they come together, and then you wonder, that this cannot be right. How can the serial show Siddhi and Kunal together; it seems to be that as soon as they are shown together, the makers of the serial think that viewers would not like them to be together, that it is more fun if they are shown separate from each other and if necessary, taunting each other.
Even in the current case, the serial is shown that Kunal and Siddhi have come together only due to a court order; the court asked that they stay together for 6 months as a part of divorce proceedings, and also, the custody battle for the children will also be decided only at that point of time. This time, the family members are also not comfortable with Siddhi, since they do not believe that Siddhi is good for Kunal, that she has only cared for what she wants, rather than caring for the family. Somehow, Kunal is still in love with Siddhi, which is the concept that the serial has kept alive, without this the serial would have ended a long time back.
Now, after the bomb blast, and Siddhi being injured, Kunal finally managed to get Siddhi back from Abhay, and got her hospitalized for treatment of her injuries. This was very expensive as well, with Kunal and the family struggling to pay for the bills and Kunal getting more serious about his legal work so that he could generate the money to pay for the bills. He was also very hurt by the comment made by Abhay where he said that Kunal would never be able to do anything and was a failure.
Now, Siddhi has recovered and had a chance to look at the injuries on her face, and is horrified at the injuries (the way that she has hidden those injuries reminds me of the scene in Satyam Shivam Sundaram where Zeenat was shown hiding her injured face with her pallu); and she makes the stupid decision that this was not the Siddhi that Kunal knew, and being no more beautiful, she does not want Kunal to see her like this. She also tells Veena about this, and they work out a plan where Kunal will be prevented from meeting Siddhi; in the current case this is because of an alleged fast which can only be successful when Siddhi and Kunal don't meet each other for the duration of the fast.

Hindi TV Serial - Balika Vadhu - Anandi manages to conflict at Sakranti

Anandi is in a difficult position. She has 2 sets of inlaws, having been sent from one house where her husband had deserted her and then they had got divorced, to another house where she had arrived as a divorcee, with many people from society not very happy about Shiv having married a divorcee. In fact, Shiv's sister, Sanchi, was astounded why her smart brother had married such a downmarket village girl who was not in the least bit sophisticated, and showed her displeasure a number of time. However, the rest of the family was very happy with the morals and attitude of Anandi and welcomed her a lot. However, this aspect of moving from one very loving house to another one meant that some of the attachment to the older house would reduce, and this can take some getting used to, especially since her new household would want to ensure that Anandi is focused on this house, being the daughter-in-law of this house.
So, the first such occasion was the time of Sakranti, where it was expected that Anandi would be spending time with Shiv's family. However, there was tension interjected into the atmosphere when Dadisa wanted Anandi to spend Sakranti at their house along with Shiv and the others, and Choti Ma also agreed. Anandi's mom-in-law was upset with whatever happened since she wanted Anandi to spend the Sakranti in their house, given that this was the first Sakranti after the marriage and it would be a grand occasion. So when she heard that Anandi and Shiv would not be coming, she was upset and even conveyed the same to Choti Ma and Anandi even while telling them that she accepted this. It goes much to show how much Choti Ma had turned that she was defending Anandi and praising the abilities of Anandi.
It is at this time that Anandi did what would seem like a good solution, in terms of being able to be at both houses. First they went to Anandi's inlaws, surprising her mother-in-law when they entered the house and ensuring that everybody was happy over there; and the next movement would be going to Jagya's house later in the afternoon. When Anandi called Dadisa to tell her that Anandi would be late, Daidisa in fact told Anandi that she understood that this was Anandi's first Sakranti over there, and maybe Anandi should stay there, since that would be the expectation. But Anandi handled this.

Hindi TV Serial - Devon Ke Dev Mahadev - The presence of Ravan in the show

Ravan is typically shown in any show about the Ramayana, or any other story about Lord Rama. But a number of people forget that Ravan was a very devout Shiv bhakt, and so it is natural than any story about Lord Shiva will show the presence of Ravan. And so the story of Mahadev is starting to show Ravan.
In the meantime, the story also shows the interaction between Mahadev and Goddess Parvathi. There was a lot of trouble in the relationship since the conflict between Karthikeyan and Ganesha was ongoing (there was even a race between them to see who could make rounds of the earth 3 times faster, and even though Karthikeyan though he could win the race easily, Ganesh took the more clever route and did 3 rounds of his parents rather than what Karthikeyan did, and since doing a round of parents was equivalent to doing a round of the world, Ganesh was deemed to be superior).
After this, both Karthikeyan and Ganesh had left Kailash, and Parvathi appealed to Mahadev to get them back. Mahadev had stated that both of them need some time, and he cannot do anything right away, which made Goddess Parvathi very angry and she told Mahadev that he also need not come to Kailash till the children are back. However, soon after, Lord Vishnu counseled Karthikeyan and finally peace was back in Kailash, but there still remains some amount of tension in Kailash since Goddess Parvathi continues to believe that Mahadev has not recognized that he now has a family and behave accordingly, and that he still continue to lead a life of detachment.
On the other side, Ravan is doing a penance to Lord Brahma, and the power of his penance is shaking God Indira's abode. He says that he will do something about it, although he is warned that he really cannot do much about what Ravan wants. He tries, and then gets the wind god to try, but they are not able to shake the prayers being done by Ravan. They go running to Lord Brahma to get him not to give any special blessing to Ravan, but Lord Brahma tells Indira that he has not really done anything that was good, his acts were bad by themselves, and he should not cast aspersions on the trinity about what they are doing.

Hindi TV Serial - Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon - RK and Madhu now close together

For some time now, the show was showing the conflict between RK and Madhu (and her family). RK was shown as a supremely arrogant, having become a superstar within the period of 5 years of entering the film industry. At the same time, Madhu and her family are shown as a family with a different background. Madhu's father had left them and another man had taken the responsibility for all of them (Madhu and her mother and sister), and they highly respected them. However, there developed some amount of conflict between them and RK, and RK used power to subject them to harassment, subjecting Malick to a beating, putting Madhu's sister on a blackout in the film industry and then finally pushing Madhu to get married to him.
Madhu's presence in his house was a problem for Madhu. Dipali, who is married to RK's brother was earlier having an affair with him, and does not like the prospect of a wife in RK's life, especially when RK makes it clear that their affair does not exist any more and that he now has a wife. RK's mother, who he also does not talk to much, is also initially skeptical about Madhu and does not treat him well. This gets even more problematic when Mallick is proved to be the one behind multiple attacks on RK, but then RK does not file a complaint against him and gets him freed.
Over a period of time, Madhu realizes that she is now in love with RK, something which seems very strange to her because of their history and the forced marriage that has happened. She does not know whether RK feels anything like this, although she has the full support of his manager, Bitto ji. She takes more steps to get closer to him, and when the occasion of Karva Chauth happens, she undergoes the fast, although RK does tell her off since he does not believe in such rituals. At the same time, when she fell ill, he took a lot of care of her and even investigated as to how she feel ill.
Eventually Madhu does learn that RK is also in love with her, and she gets him to do a number of things. For example, there is some conflict in her family and RK pops in to her house to even out stuff, get them to realize that he is no longer an enemy and even releases the blacklist he had put on her sister's name. He also looks for a producer who would help in making a movie but without letting her know that RK is behind this. It is through this that he comes in contact with a weird man, who is also the long forgotten father of Madhu and her sister.

Hindi TV Serial - Pradeep dies after being shot by Anushka, leap to happen (update: not yet dead, operation successful)

Over the past few weeks, the serial has been taking a strange shift. Viewers were earlier puzzling about what the story line will be when the 2 different stories move to their own track, the story of Mona with Vineet and Anushka with Pradeep. The marriages for both of them were planned, and since this is a story, both could be planned for the same time with the parents having to worry about which marriage they will attend.
And then things suddenly turn into a very different direction. The serial shows an old lover of Anushka turning up, and then they show her to become more and more negative (since earlier she was shown as scheming and arrogant, but now shown as somebody who has defrauded her earlier company and eventually as a murderer).
Due to a turn of events where she is being blackmailed by her previous lover (who is shown as claiming that he is still her husband since they never had a divorce), finally she snaps, and in the midst of a fight with him, kills him by accident by whacking him on the head with a hard vase. However, and this is where they show her to be even more negative, Pradeep walks in soon after and is accused of the murder, and yet Anushka is now shown as doing anything to get him off the murder charge, in fact, if he is convicted, nobody will accuse her.
It is Mona who takes charge of getting Pradeep proved innocent, and she works at trying to get evidence that will do this, and finally is able to get evidence, and yet Anushka finds out about this evidence and in fact kills the lady who provided this evidence to Mona (Anushka got into a scuffle and the gun went off killing the other lady). By this time Anushka has almost gone off her mental balance and decides to kill Mona and starts for the party where Mona has gone (Vineet is having a partnership with Rajat (from Bade Ache Lagte Hain) and they have a party to announce this). At this party, things get stranger. Anushka arrives with the gun, and tries to kill Mona after first shooting Ram who got into a scuffle with her, and then tries to kill Mona. However, Pradeep arrives first and stands in the way of the shot and is killed by her. Ram is in serious danger, but is then declared out of danger. Now as expected the show will take a leap and move to a future that is around 8-9 years.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha - Megha supports Mohan after Riddhima shows up

The show meandered into uncertain territory because of the sudden presence of Riddhima in Mohan's life. Soon after Mohan went away from Megha's house, he got a call that Riddhima's father was very serious, and in this emotional turmoil, he married Riddhima not knowing that Megha has finally accepted that she loves him. Further, soon after, when he learns, he talks to Riddhima and she accepts that their marriage was only under stress and she agrees to a divorce.
So, Mohan marries Megha without getting divorced from Riddhima, and it was clear to everybody that this situation would come back to him sometime. However, the show tries to ensure that it never gets really serious, and hence, even when Renu bhabhi discovers the truth about Riddhima and ensures that the family also learns about it, Megha stands up for Mohan. Even when her father-in-law says that the marriage was a fraud and has also slapped Mohan, she tells Riddhima that Mohan is her husband and that Riddhima should stay away. There was the fear that Megha would reject Mohan when she learns the truth, but this does not happen.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha - Megha gets to know the truth

The serial was always a light look at the life of these people, but for the past several weeks, it has been getting into very serious issues; and the most serious issue is the current state of the relationship between Mohan and Megha. For Megha, life was good. After a lot of time, she realized that she was indeed in love with Mohan, and with this realization, things started moving in the right direction. The marriage happened with the proper rituals and with the permission and approval of her current inlaws and she moved into Mohan's house (although his mother was not approving of this relationship). One drawback was that she got to learn from Riddhima that Mohan and Riddhima almost got married for the sake of her father (Riddhima did not tell her that the marriage actually took place, while Mohan assumed that Megha now knows and was still fine after some disapproval).
However, when they came to Nepal for the honeymoon (along with children), things started going worse. In a coincidence that can only happen in Indian serials or movies, they landed up in the same hotel where Riddhima had joined for a job, and this seeing of Megha and Mohan together as a happy couple led Riddhima to have a turnabout and realize that she cannot see them happy together, and she started getting in a bad to worse condition. Mohan was also astounded, even more so when he learnt that Riddhima had not told the whole truth to Megha; and then Megha also learns the truth when sees the stamp paper that carried the divorce petition of Mohan and Riddhima.
For megha, this is a big shock since that also means that the marriage between Megha and Mohan is also illegal (his divorce from Riddhima not having come through as yet), and also that Mohan hid something this big from her. She is now confronting Mohan for what he did.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Suraj back after successfully participating in World Top Cook

The show decided to send the family abroad, and which would also give the viewers a look at an international city; and so initially when Sandhya proposed that Suraj take part in a cooking contest, there was hesitation. Suraj himself was not convinced, but over a period of time, everybody agreed. And then Suraj won the local round of the show, getting selected to go to the international finale of the show, being held in Singapore. As part of the rules of the show, he was able to take along his wife, and his parents; and all of them got a chance to go to Singapore and stay in the most posh hotel over there, the Marina Bay Sands.
There were many challenges even just being there, since neither Suraj nor his parents knew English or other customs prevalent in Singapore, and that is another reason where an educated daughter-in-law in the form of Sandhya was able to provide incredible help. She took on the role of explaining to Suraj everything that was happening, and did not lose sight of their local customs as well (such as when she and Bhabho observed a fast, or observed Teej over there when a party was also ongoing).
The international cooking contest was a bit of drama, since it seemed a bit fake even though it was just part of a serial, and over a number of events, the cooking abilities of Suraj were able to fascinate everybody, even though some other participants were trying to put him down, or in the finale, one of them even tried to accuse him of spoiling her dish. So, now the contest is over, and Suraj is back, and they are showing him getting welcomed with celebrations, and so on. What was strange were the brief attempts being made to showcase this in real life as an achievement, since this was a fictional episode in a serial.

Hindi TV Serial - Phir Subah Hogi - Aditya has a sardhakai with Sugni

As expected, things got more complicated on the show. For some time, there was the romance between the thakur Vikram and Sugni, although it seemed impossible for most people, given the vast social differences between the two. However, over a period of time, Vikram thakur helped Sugni in a number of ways and this made sure that she looked at him in a positive light, and when he confessed his love to her, it did not take much time for her to fall in love with him, confess the same to him, and then agree to get married to him.
Her mother, his relatives and everybody else was not comfortable with this relation because of the economic and class differences between them, and even though her mother was not at all comfortable, Sugni decided to go ahead with the marriage. And then the inevitable happened, where this dream of Sugni came to an end. The serial showed, slowly, the presence of another women, and it was revealed that this lady, kept hidden away, was actually the wife of Vikram Thakur. This lady, Reva, makes her presence felt at the marriage ceremony, bringing the dreams of Sugni crashing down; she runs away from there and refuses to listen to what Vikram had to say.
And now the story moves to a difference level, where the younger thakur, Aditya, decides to do the sardakhai of Sugni, with many surprised as to how Sugni could agree for this, since, even though she was a bedni, she was against this custom. However, so far they are showing that Aditya has only a nice intent.

Hindi TV Serial - Balika Vadhu - Jagat learns the truth about what Gauri has done

For a long time in the serial, there was a lot of love between Jagat and Gauri, something which developed over a period of many years, and one could see that Gauri did love Jagat a lot. However, at the same time, she was also aware that the relationship between Jagat and her was a bit tenous and so she had to push his family away from him. So, over a period of time, she did a number of activities that either pushed them away, created more distances between Jagat and Anandi and also created emotional blackmail to get Jagat more to her side. Even when it was revealed that Bhairon had actually funded her education, she hid this from Jagat; and then on one occasion when Jagat almost got to know details about Bade Papa and his funding, she became very angry.
On the other hand, the Anandi's life was improving, Shiv was in love with her and got his parents and family to accept her (except for his sister who somehow has not accepted this relationship, being pampered and a bit selfish). Now, it will be interesting when Jagat comes back at the exact time when there are preparations being made for the marriage activities. How will this impact Anandi's life.

Hindi TV Serial - Punar Vivah - The reason why Yash is so angry is getting revealed

There is a sudden turmoil in the life of Yash and Aarti, a life that was only slowly getting settled. Yash is suddenly behaving very erratically, telling Aarti that he does not want to see her, that she should not come in front of him, and that they essentially have no relation anymore. This is very surprising, since till now, there was a feeling that the relation was improving, that he would get over the memory of his dead wife and accept Aarti as his wife. Even his family had come to believe that Aarti was the best person for him and in fact were urging her on to ensure that Yash comes to forget the strong memory of his dead wife and accept Aarti fully. The children had also come to accept her as their mother and Yash as their father; so this sudden drama was very surprising for everybody.
Things go so serious that the family members, including his mother wanted Aarti to accept that Yash no longer accepted her as his wife and to leave, but slowly things starting getting revealed. They had all gone to Mumbai, and there, due to a fire, Yash has to make a choice in a situation where he had to save Aarti, or to save the precious memories of his dead wife and he made the natural choice of Aarti, and this in turn seems to have turned him very angry. This realization is slowly coming to Aarti that this may have been the reason for the reaction that he is facing.

Hindi TV Serial - Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Relationship between Arnav and Khushi

The story went down on an angle. For the last 6 months, things have been that there is a marriage between Arnav and Khushi, but the whole angle has changed. The marriage that they had did not involve any pheras and this was now known to the family, and hence there was the concept that the marriage needs to happen again.
Now, Dadi is not very friendly towards Khushi and hence, when there came the question about the pheras not yet happening and this marriage needing to happen again formally, Dadi made her way to Khushi's house and there started bad-mouthing them. She spoke badly to them, made the inference that Khushi was after Arnav because he was a rich guy and she was after rich people.
At the end of this discussion, Dadi finally got what she wanted, with the relationship apparently broken, and then Dadi came back to the house and told everybody that the relationship was now broken. When Arnav heard this, he was very angry and claimed that he will make things better and also told Dadi in effect that this relationship will happen and she should not try to block it.
However, there is something hidden in the relationship between Dadi and Garima which can be problematic.

Hindi TV Serial - Pavitra Rishta - Purvi kidnapped by Vishnu, rescued by Arjun

What an introduction for Vishnu (actually Soham, the long lost son of Archana and Manav who was kidnapped by Varsha and presumed dead when he was very young). Varsha had run away from there and found her way out of the city, and was finally involved with a gang. Soham's name was changed to Vishnu, and inspite of the best efforts of Varsha, Vishnu was involved with the gang and hence a bad character.
Seeking to make money from Manav, the gang members were shadowing Manav but were detected and hence police protection for Manav was arranged. Vishnu finally decided to kidnap Ovi, since that would mean that ransom money would get easily paid, and so it happened. They decided to kidnap Ovi, but at the last minute, due to the confusion of Purvi wearing a sari of the same color, Purvi got kidnapped indeed. Manav took responsibility for ensuring that Purvi would be released by arranging for the ransom, and also prohibiting the police or Arjun from following him. However, both these groups decide to ignore what Manav was telling them, and followed him. Seeing the police, Vishnu was enraged, and then Arjun also intervened. But when trying to take Purvi away, he got shot. In the melee, he came again after some time, and got shot again, but this time the police also got in the midst and managed to get Purvi out.
In the hospital, the doctors finally declare Arjun out of danger; both Ovi and Purvi are incredibly happy but Arjun reaches out for Purvi which shocks Ovi and she leaves from there. At the same time, Vishnu is apparently not caught but his gang member is caught. Varsha is leaving for Mumbai to find out what happened to Vishnu.

Hindi TV Serial - Hitler Didi - cancer taking the life of Indira

The serial shows Indira taking care of her family after her father has left them for another woman. As a result, she has become much harder and dominant, earning the name of Hitler Didi for her domineering ways; but she takes care of her family and does not even mind telling off her father. Over a period of time, there comes some change in her life when she gets a new tenant Rishi, and over a period of time, and under some circumstances, she gets married to Rishi.
Indira does not really feel anything towards the marriage at first, but later she does feel the bond and some more circumstances later, they have a good married relationship. However, there is more drama to come, with Indira being diagnosed with a brain tumor and this is a terminal disease. Her financial situation is not so good and the treatment for this tumor is not definite and very expensive, so she is not able to try that treatment. Further, she has not yet told even Rishi about this, in fact Rishi and everybody else in the house has come to believe that her medical issues are because she is pregnant.
Now Indira is worried about how her family will cope without her and how her husband will also cope without her, given how close he is now to her. She gets a shop started for her family and also prompts Rishi to apply for a job so that atleast there is some financial security once she is gone and she can no longer provide for them. 

Hindi TV Serial - Jhalak Dikhla Jaa - Getting stars to participate in a dancing competition

Jhalak Dikhla Jaa is now a famous dancing competition, showcasing the dancing prowess of many non-dancing stars. Imagine a cricket star or a cook dancing, you know it is awkward and it will not be as good as  somebody who does a lot of dancing. But if such a person has to dance, then the preparation for the dance needs to happen with an expert choreographer, and with adequate time being given for this preparation.
And so it happens, with some expert doing the judgment (well, 2 out of 3 judges in this year's competition are judges) and you end up with some very good dance performances. So, who all is taking part in this year's contest, who are the comperes, and who are the judges ?
