Banoo Main Teri Dulhann

Dulhan, on Zee TV at weekdays 8 PM, is reaching a climax. After a long boring set of episodes, finally things are starting to peak. After reincarnation, and after quite a bit of drama, eventually Divya and Amar got married (even though Sindoora tried her best to prevent it).
And now it seems like history is going to repeat itself. For a time it seemed like Amar was totally in awe of Sindoora, respecting her, and fighting with Divya when she used to tell him to beware of Sindoora (Vidya was able to remember what happened in the previous birth when Sindoora killed both Amar and Vidya).
But it was all a drama; Amar was basically trying to make Sindoora pay for what she had done once he had learned what Sindoora had actually done. Helped by Bharat, Sindoora's son (who hated Sindoora for what she had actually done), they prepare a dangerous plan where Bharat would provoke Sindoora into trying to kill Divya and Amar in front of cameras. The plan backfires to some extent when Sindoora does not pick up the gun that Bharat has given (with fake bullets), but instead picks up the same gun that she had used 22 years back to kill Vidya and Sagar.
And now they reach the same plan, and Sindoora admits that she killed Vidya and Sagar, and says that she will them again and again, that nobody can help them. And after some more dialog and drama, she shoots Amar.

Kasturi - Mausi is the bad one

It is real fun how things keep on happening in Indian TV serials (and how they keep on copying each other). So, from a time when Kasturi was in the bad books of Robbie because she had blamed him for Raunaq's death and vowed to take revenge (and as a part of the anger that Robbie felt, he had got engaged to Anita (who was actually plotting against Robbie and was in cahoots with Raunak)) (did you not see something similar to this happening in 'Kahin to Hoga'), to the point where she learns that Raunak was alive, and this was all a plan by Raunak to get hold of Robbie's wealth.
Well, soon things start to change away from Raunak's and Anita's favor; inspite of the best efforts of these 2 (and Mausi supporting them), Robbie soon starts to get the old feelings for Kasturi again. He breaks off his engagement with Anita, and moves closer to Kasturi (but Raunak has re-emerged on the screen in terms of trying to break the things between Robbie and Kasturi).
Raunak is torturing Kasturi a lot while pretending to be ill and bed-ridden to others, and Robbie can only watch when this is happening. Eventually, Raunak and Anita decide that they have to get rid of Kasturi, and they decide to try and kill her (Raunak has already made a number of people believe that she is mad). However, Robbie also reaches there, and it is believed that Robbie was guilty of shooting her. The police get involved, Kasturi's parents are also very angry and tell a lot of things to Robbie's parents.
And then they find Kasturi, she is in a ashram and has reverted back to a child like mental state (remember Saat Phere, anyone ?). Soon, Raunak decides that she has to go, but this time he is caught along with Anita. Mausi also abandons them, and Raunak is really angry at this, but is unable to do anything. Mausi is still planning, scheming, how to get Devika's and Robbie's wealth. And so the serial moves on, with newer villains (and maybe some element of black magic getting added).

The strange saga of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii

The strange saga of Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii continues. The serial originally had as a center-piece, the goings on in the life of a joint family, with the couple of Om and Parvati Agarwal (Kiran Karmakar and Sakshi Tanwar) respectively being the main driving force behind the family.
And then some time ago, mainly due to some misunderstanding / dispute between Kiran Karmakar and Balaji's producer Ekta Kapoor, the character of Om Agarwal had to die a sudden death in the floods in Gujarat (although this was a murder done by Trishna (Mita Vashisht) due to Om marrying her when he was already married). And then Parvati had to go through a period when she was framed for the murder, and vanishes for 18 years after staging a death in the jail. She then comes back in order to get revenge, and eventually gets revenge on Trishna by getting her to commit to doing the murder in front of the police and taken to jail.
But there was never any doubt that Om was dead; after all, it has been 19-20 years since he has been apparently dead, and there was a funeral organized for him with his own body. And now he is back in the serial when they suddenly see him in Varanasi along with a wife and children. The entire Agarwal family are amazed to see him in the role of Rishab and he does not acknowledge any traces of familiarity. Current speculation is that either he had a memory lapse and built up a new family, or that his current wife is forcing him to play that role for some specific reason.
Of course, it is quite clear that Kiran Karmakar has made his peace with Ekta Kapoor, and hence is back into this prime-time (10 PM) never ending serial. As an aside, if he is indeed Om, then why is Trishna in jail ?

Kahani Ghar Ghar ki: Finally some conclusions

No, it does not mean that the serial will end. A serial, running at the prime time of 10 PM every day on Star Plus, is too hot an item to terminate. Putting a new serial in at this time would be like opening the slot for rivals to try and put something better on Zee or Sony to take advantage. But, if one looks at the serial, this is a good current position to try and bring the serial to an end.
For the past long time, the serial has been moving on the leg of one story, the conflict between Parvati/Janaki (Sakshi Tanwar) and Trishna (Mita Vashist). The current conflict has its roots in a story developing over the past several years in the serial. Parvati and Om (Kiran Karmarkar) had a happy marriage; then they suddenly revealed that Om had to get married due to circumstances to Trishna (she was mentally disturbed) and Om owed many debts to her father.
Then this became known to other house people, including Parvati. Om dies. Parvati, being good and so on, gets Trishna married to the younger brother Kamal. It slowly becomes clear that Trishna had got Om killed, and she manages to manipulate things such that people in the household believe (incredible thing) that Parvati had a hand in the killing of Om.
Cut to 18 years later in a time leap. Parvati is believed dead, and Trishna has taken control of the house, crushing the spirits of everyone in the house. Kamal is a drunkard. Parvati re-enters in the form of Janaki (along with Aruna Irani as her mentor - they really try to play the theme of Krishna/ Arjuna and the Mahabharat/ Gita with the concept of fighting against her own relatives and defeating Trishna). No specific source is shown for Janaki's wealth.
And here is the tussle, rather than go in for a facial surgery and change of character as every other K serial seems to be doing, Janaki sports the same face as Parvati, causing immense confusion amongst everyone. She plays an arrogant rich women to whom Trishna is beholden, while at the same time pretending to be uncaring of everything Trishna does against her relatives. Of course, she is still a good daughter-in-law, so she manages to always help them against Trishna.
And then the climax. For some time, I was actually enjoying the serial where there was this confrontation going on, and knew that this could be stretched on for another year or so, and then suddenly there was this episode on Friday where Parvati's daughter confronts her with a gun (accusing her of trying to provoke her son away), and Trishna is watching, content to let mother and daughter kill each other. A shot goes off, light goes off, and Tina Pareikh (Shruti - Parvati's daughter) is on the floor with a buller wound in the abdomen, sure to die. And then, Trishna, apparently not having heard of sting shows, speaks her mind to Parvati/Janaki, admitting every crime that she did and claiming that Parvati cannot do a thing.
Well, as you watch the expression on Parvati's face, you know that there must be a TV camera somewhere, and sure enough there is a TV suddenly popping up, showing off the confession. Dutifully, the lights come on, the entire family troops in, and Shruti gets up. After a few slaps from assorted people to Trishna, the police lead her away. Now, if only the serial makers consider this a good conclusion and terminate the serial soon after, but we all know that this will not happen ...

Playing Dead, Playing Alive

In seconds, Dead = ALIVE and Alive = DEAD.

Ekta Kapoor serials have changed the definition of dead and alive. You cannot predict when a character in her serial who is happily married and leading a peaceful life comes to an end for no reason. No, actually I am wrong there are reasons...

May be they are having a cold war with Ekta Kapoor or Ekta kapoor needs to give a twist in her serial. Take for instance, in KYUKI SAAS BHI KABHI BAHU THI, Mihir was dead in an accident, Ekta kapoor thought that it would be a good turnover but audience were so much crazy about him especially girls that the TRPs of the show went low and no alternate left but to bring Mihir back, at that time played by Amar Upadhay. But after sometime his relations with Ekta Kapoor became tense and he was replaced by Ronit Roy. Same happened with Piyush character in KAHIN TO HOGA. Towards the end, in a new addition to the story, his mother's sister suddenly came into the picture, who had 2 sons, out of which one son was given to Piyush's mother (Piyush). So, since the Piyush character may have become friends with Ekta Kapoor again, he was brought back into the serial in the name of his brother.

Plastic Surgery is so common in these serials to change one's identity, to be true not only the face but their height, weight and even the voice changes and normally this is done when you have to change the person who is playing that character.

I have heard that plastic surgery is a very complicated process and a very delicate process too but it doesnt seem to be so when you watch these serials. Its such a easy process and not so costly also...
