Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon - Pabbo and Dipali trying to stop Madhu from becoming the heroine

As usual, you would expect that the show would have a lot of drama before something happens. That has been the case with the serial, since before showing that something major happens, there will be a lot of suspense, Dipali will be involved in trying to prevent whatever Madhu and RK are trying to do, and so on. However, even though they come to know that Diplali is involved, they do not prevent her from doing so, and since each time, there is no punishment, you can be sure that the character of Dipali will continue in her quest to give them trouble and cause problems when they are trying to do so. Even otherwise, even though they show RK as very arrogant, he has let his step-father stay in the house even though his step-father was the one who was instrumental in preventing RK from working in the films industry and because of which he had to his own movie. So, finally RK, being a superstar, decided that he would produce a movie himself and set about arranging matters for the movie.
He asked Bittuji to set about arranging finance, and for the huge amount that was required, had to say that the house had to be set a security for the loan, which is a matter of risk since that meant if the movie was to fail to make enough money, then his house would be taken away to pay for the loan. He asked an actress for playing the role of the heroine, but she was already talking to the film producer who wanted to teach RK a lesson, and finally she refused to act in the movie. At this, finally RK decided that he already had somebody in the house who could become a heroine, and said that Madhu would be the heroine of the movie (the advantage is that there will be some more costs that are cut because of casting her as the main heroine).
However, Dipali is very against this movie, since it would significantly enhance the status of Madhu, especially if the movie was successful. Madhu on the other hand was agreeable to do this since RK's movie was in a problem and she felt it was her duty to support RK in this. It was after all a movie that he was producing. Initially, Pabbo was fine with this movie but after her guruji said something about this, and then Dipali also spent time with her to persuade her otherwise, she became dead set against this move to make Madhu the lead actress of the movie, and also spoke about this to RK. However, RK was not ready to initially listen to her about this, and said that Madhu was only doing her duty towards RK by becoming a part of the movie, and he would not listen to anybody speaking against Madhu. At this, Pabbo left the table and went to her room.
Later RK and Madhu went to her room so that they apologize for anything that could have hurt her, but found that she was not there. They started a hunt to find her, and finally Madhu found her in a temple and brought her back to the house, although she refused another attempt by Pabbo that Madhu not work in the movie. In the end, it is shown that Pabbo and Dipali join hands to stop Madhu from becoming the heroine of the movie.

Hindi TV Serial - Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon - Sultan over, RK banned by Producers Association

The serial gave no respite between one story and the next one. So RK just finally managed to get over the issue of Sultan through a thrilling kind of event. For quite some time, RK was under a lot of threat because of Sultan. In fact, Sultan had threatened Madhu that unless she left RK and came to Sultan, he would kill RK and should could believe it since Sultan did seem like that kind of person. So, she started acting strange, finally telling RK that she was actually for Sultan and hence she wanted a divorce. And of course Dipali was very happy since that meant Madhu would be out of RK's life and she could again get together with RK. RK was shocked at what Madhu was telling him, but over a period of time he realized that there was something wrong in all this and something is strange. He refuses to give her a divorce, and then finally Madhu admits the truth to him. In the meantime, Radha is also getting very confused about this strange behaviour of Madhu and is getting angry at her.
Now, they make a plan. This will have to be the finale plan, where they need to ensure that the police catch Sultan before he can escape again, else both Madhu's and RK's life will be in danger. And even though they know that Dipali is up to no good, she remains in the house and continues to be in touch with Sultan, revealing whatever she knows. Finally the scene shifts to a celebration where the plan is that Sultan will get hold of Madhu and finally the police can find Sultan and they can end up everything. In the end, even though Dipali tries to help Sultan, they finally find Sultan and RK is able to shoot him after Sultan has managed to shoot the police officer in a limb. The police accuse Dipali of working along with Sultan, but Madhu and RK manage to save her by saying that they believe in her.
The next problem that occurs is when a producer, Amar comes to their house when they are having a pooja. The pooja gets interrupted because the producer is very angry about his film not yet completed because of RK being so busy in other things, and then accuses Madhu of diverting RK by having an affair with a gangster. RK is very angry at that, and the producer says that unless RK shows up early the next morning, he will destroy RK.
So, the next series of events is about RK facing problems as a superstar; Kuku is back as the head of the Producer's association and works with Amar to ensure that RK is blacklisted and no producer or other cine worker can work with him. RK dismisses this and states that since he has the love of the fans, nothing can happen to him and says that he will produce a film himself. He launches a film with Bittoji helping to provide financing for the film. He ropes in a leading lady played by Anita Hassandani, but unknown to him, she has been in touch with Amar and she will no longer play a role in his film. In the end, Madhu will play the female lead and will become a superstar because of this movie.

Hindi TV Serial - Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon - Finally the truth about Deepali causing trouble out ..

RK is very jealous now about Madhu, and what her intentions are with respect to Sultan. Any contact of Madhu with Sultan is problematic for him, and this will also cause problems for Madhu. Her quest seems to be to take RK to a position where she can finally tell him that the game is over and in a way that he learns that he could not have treated her like this. She does meet Sultan, and this is something which causes problems since if there is a chance of RK getting to know, he will be furious with her and the whole plan will be ruined. Once, when she had met him in a mall, Deepali was there along with Radha, and Deepali was trying her best to ensure that Radha got to see this; however this did not happen and Madhu was saved that time. Madhu had tried to allay the suspicions of RK by deleting the number of Sultan from her phone and also telling RK that she had removed Sultan from her life. She had also once almost jumped off a building when RK had told her to do so, to prove her life, and it was just at the last minute that RK managed to save her and pull her up.
However, when a party is happening, Deepali sees a good chance to again cause problems for Madhu and get RK to be furious at her. She sends out a message to Sultan from Madhu's phone (by planning to ensure that Madhu's phone got missing for some time, and then sending the message from there) and then later uses Sikky to actually give Sultan an invitation card, apparently from Madhu's side.
Predictably, when RK saw Sultan at the party, he was very angry and even more so when he learnt that he had got messages from Madhu to come to the party. He humiliated Madhu at the party, and then dragged her away from there and back to their room, followed by the rest of the family (Radha, Deepali and Sikky). Deepali was of course very happy when she saw this happening, since it meant that her plan was succeeding, and she tried to add more oil to the fire by instigating RK further, which of course did not work since RK would not listen to what he said.
And then Madhu used her brains, trying to determine what time the message was sent to Sultan since she was sure that the message was not sent by here. She looks at the time of the message, and realizes that this was sent at a time when the phone was missing, and reminds RK that she had told him at that time that her phone was missing. He immediately gets suspicious at Deepali, and when Madhu told him that she had collided with Deepali just before her phone got missing, he turned to Sikky and finally got the truth out from him. He was very angry with Deepali, and even though Deepali tried to state her reasons, he told her and Sikky that they should not be in the house after 8 hours, that they are being kicked out of the house.
Deepali did try to stoke more suspicion, raising points about some previous times about why Madhu was apparently meeting Sultan, even at the mall. They show everybody suspicious at Madhu about what had happened.

Hindi TV Serial - Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon - RK has taken Madhu by force, and even locked her with a chain

The serial is trying to justify the name of the serial, Ek Ishq and ek Junoon, by showing the Junoon part on the part of RK. Ever since he dumped Madhu, he is forever claiming that he did the right thing for his ego, since he needed to take revenge. However, this is not working out right for him since he does love her, and hence her missing from his life is shaking him up. At the same time, for Madhu, although she had come to love him passionately, the revenge that he had taken on her had shocked her enough that she wants to move on with life, with the same feeling being true for Padmini and Trishna. They no longer want her to have anything to with him, since they don't want her to get into the same pain as before. It is only Radha and Bittoji who know what RK is feeling and how Madhu was the one who was right for him.
Things get more problematic for RK when Madhu comes into contact with Aryan and his father Sultan. There is a lot of attachment between Madhu and Aryan, and since RK cannot see who is on the other side, he is shocked by the thought that Madhu may be having an affair with somebody and taunts her on a number of occasions on this, even humiliating her in front of other people. When he literally forces her to tell him the truth, she tells him about Aryan and Sultan, but RK is not sure about whether to believe her or not.
On the occasion of Holi, he comes to her house with the intention of being the first one to apply Holi to her, but is shocked when she suddenly darts away and applies Holi to the face of Sultan, seemingly like a lover would. RK leaves from there and is shocked about what has happened, but cannot forget this. Madhu however had done this since she had seen the enemies of Sultan coming there, ready to kill him, and this was a plan to disguise him. In fact, during the attack, she even picks up the gun and would have been all ready to attack Bhujang, but he manages to run away, and then she answers the questions of the people of the chawl, using their past experience to explain that she did what she did because of humanity.
Now, RK is unable to forget what happened, and literally drags Madhu back to his mansion. He wants her to forget what has happened, he is ready to make amends, but the way that he does is by confining her and preventing her from leaving. He asks for forgiveness, but she is very angry. He locks her up in a chain (she realizes this when she gets up in the morning and finds herself chained up) until she can tell him about why she applied color to somebody else and she does tell him the reason behind why she does so. Her mother is pretty frantic by now, and Madhu lies to her about why she is in RK's mansion so that Padmini will stop worrying. But when RK asks her to feel in her heart, she tells him that his actions caused her heart to break, and there is no heart left. On the other hand, Dipali is upto her usual antics, although now Madhu does not care about what she is doing. What else will RK do so that Madhu can forgive him ? (the action behind RK locking up Madhu in a chain is not something that is great for women's rights, so somebody needs to figure out whether such scenes should be allowed on TV).

Hindi TV Serial - Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon - Sultan in deep trouble, Madhu's mother scolds her

The current episode ongoing in Madhubala is reflective of the fact that a serial can introduce any number of characters and do any kind of twist in the story. In the current situation, Madhu had been deceived by RK. As a part of his revenge, he plotted to get Madhu to fall in love with him, even though it meant that he provided help to her a number of times during the time period in which this was happening. Once this was done, and just when they were about to get married, he finally told her that this was all false, part of his plan to get revenge. And so he dumped her.
This was a big shock to Madhu, but she was finally getting over this and resuming her life in whatever way. In the case of RK, however, life was not so simple. He was discovering that life without Madhu was not so simple, that he missed her in every aspect of life. Yet, whenever Bittoji or his mother tried to talk to him in that aspect, he would rudely dismiss them and his ego would not let him admit that his previous action was wrong, or that he was in love with Madhu.
Madhu on the other hand was determined to get over RK, and even started working in his shooting area as a hair-dresser and make up specialist; something which was very challenging for RK. He taunted her on a regular basis, and yet when she was getting into some trouble, he was the one who came and defended her when a drunk unit member came and tried to molest her; with RK beating that person and sending him over to the police.
One day while coming back late from the unit, Madhu got into trouble, coming into contact with Sultan and his son. Sultan is a gangster with a young son, a son whom he is trying to become as much emotionally independent as possible. So, any show of fear is not expected from his son, and his son was being chased by some other gangsters. Madhu quickly realizes that she is in the hands of a dangerous man, but he lets her go easily, although develops a fondness for his young son.
RK on the other hand sees that Madhu is getting busy and starts taunting her for becoming involved with another man so soon after her break-up, including once even breaking her phone when she was speaking to Sultan's son during the start of a shooting session. Madhu refuses to tell him anything, but once RK applies force on her and manages to get the situation from her, including the name of Sultan.
On the other hand, Sultan is in trouble since an upstart wants to upstage, staging a plan of kidnapping his son and then shooting Sultan, leaving him wounded. Sultan is brought to near the chawl, although Madhu's mother is very angry at whatever happened and is very afraid about the interaction of her daughter with a gangster.

Hindi TV Serial - Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon - Finally RK reveals the truth, gets his revenge

So finally what people have been expecting in the serial has come true, but there is some doubt still about this storyline. Initially the series showed RK as a highly arrogant person, who would do what he wanted and acted as a villain would. However, soon after his forced marriage with Madhu, the serial showed him changing. He still had a determined streak in him, but he would listen to Madhu more and act in ways that would seem different from what was earlier. He also cut off his relation with Deepali, the wife of his brother, and supported Madhu whenever there was any tension regarding her in the house. In fact, when Madhu was doing a karva chauth for RK (after Madhu realized that she was in love with him), RK told her that he was not supportive of the idea of this kind of fast and the concept behind it, but in the end, he does come to support her and gets her whatever medical help she needs.
And then the serial shows RK in a new mode. He is helping Madhu in whatever she needs to do; he does an incredible amount of work in showing Padmini and Malick about their true feelings for each other and finally getting them married to each other (even though he received a slap from Padmini for this one); he then gets injured while trying to save them from Balraj and uses his money to provide Padmini the best of legal help and then with the help of an impassioned speech, Padmini is freed from the court; he works towards removing the block on the film career of Trishna and tries to get her a film; and he even helps out Madhu when she has made it her life to get RK and his mother together again.
And then they show that Madhu and RK are feeling for each other, with the strong possibility of intimacy and feelings for each other happening; and this can only be resolved (as per Madhu) when their uncompleted pheras are done, and they finally complete all 7 pheras. Madhu sees that as the validation of their married life and is waiting for that to happen. Finally they decide to have a marriage, and that is when the big twist happens. At that actual time, RK refuses to do the pheras, telling her that this was all part of his revenge plan. He could not forget the slaps she gave him at their time of marriage and was looking to get revenge, and this is now his revenge. Madhu is shocked, but RK rubs it in, telling her that even the dresses that they are wearing are on rent, since he wanted nothing permanent for this kind of act.
The problem is, for somebody who wanted to such a revenge, he has already done a huge amount of work for Madhu, and somehow doing this for somebody against whom you wanted revenge seems too much of work, especially when it was not really expected out of him.

Hindi TV Serial - Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon - Balrak makes his move, finally killed by his former wife

The serial was highlighting the emergence of Balraj, the father of Trishna and Madhu and the ex-wife of Padmini, who suddenly came back into the lives of all these people. Many many years back, Balraj used to torture his wife and also treated his daughters very badly, and finally they managed to escape from his with the help of Malick. And then, when RK was looking for somebody to do the production of a movie which would launch Trishna (and do it in a way that Trishna would not know that it was RK who was behind all this), he and his assistant Bitto found Balraj who was a maverick (although they do not know his background, not is it shown as to why specifically Balraj was suitable for this role). He is almost shown to be out of control, once even eating the food prepared by Madhu for RK, something for which RK was very angry, but at the same time, showing Balraj as not really caring about what others (even including the superstar RK) think about his actions.
Next, Madhu and RK plan a technique that will finally bring Padmini and Malick much closer to each other, to the extent that they will finally decide to get married (something which they initially oppose); in the course of this effort, RK falsely tells Padmini that something has happened to Malick, and for which he gets slapped by Padmini (and the others are shocked, since they cannot visualize somebody slapping the superstar RK). However, RK keeps at it and finally they agree to get married, making everybody else very happy as well.
In the meantime, Balraj gets to know about this marriage and decides that he must also get involved, since he cannot visualize something like this happening; just before the marriage, Padmini has a nightmare where Balraj lands up in the house and kills Malick and then kills the others. However, she wakes up, and is very scared about this.
Roma gets to see Balraj dressed as if he is going for a marriage, but is kidnapped before she can warn the others. Balraj finally goes to the marriage location with his hoodlums, and pulls off a few stunts and then the police gets there and stops everything. RK also gets injured in all this activity. However, even when the police has caught him, Balraj manages to get hold of a gun and puts it to the head of Madhu, and is then shot by Padmini. Since she has shot Balraj, the police arrest Padmini while RK needs to be taken to hospital because of the blood loss. However, in the court case, the entire history of Balraj is laid out and Padmini is exonerated in terms of self defense.

Hindi TV Serial - Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon - RK and Madhu now close together

For some time now, the show was showing the conflict between RK and Madhu (and her family). RK was shown as a supremely arrogant, having become a superstar within the period of 5 years of entering the film industry. At the same time, Madhu and her family are shown as a family with a different background. Madhu's father had left them and another man had taken the responsibility for all of them (Madhu and her mother and sister), and they highly respected them. However, there developed some amount of conflict between them and RK, and RK used power to subject them to harassment, subjecting Malick to a beating, putting Madhu's sister on a blackout in the film industry and then finally pushing Madhu to get married to him.
Madhu's presence in his house was a problem for Madhu. Dipali, who is married to RK's brother was earlier having an affair with him, and does not like the prospect of a wife in RK's life, especially when RK makes it clear that their affair does not exist any more and that he now has a wife. RK's mother, who he also does not talk to much, is also initially skeptical about Madhu and does not treat him well. This gets even more problematic when Mallick is proved to be the one behind multiple attacks on RK, but then RK does not file a complaint against him and gets him freed.
Over a period of time, Madhu realizes that she is now in love with RK, something which seems very strange to her because of their history and the forced marriage that has happened. She does not know whether RK feels anything like this, although she has the full support of his manager, Bitto ji. She takes more steps to get closer to him, and when the occasion of Karva Chauth happens, she undergoes the fast, although RK does tell her off since he does not believe in such rituals. At the same time, when she fell ill, he took a lot of care of her and even investigated as to how she feel ill.
Eventually Madhu does learn that RK is also in love with her, and she gets him to do a number of things. For example, there is some conflict in her family and RK pops in to her house to even out stuff, get them to realize that he is no longer an enemy and even releases the blacklist he had put on her sister's name. He also looks for a producer who would help in making a movie but without letting her know that RK is behind this. It is through this that he comes in contact with a weird man, who is also the long forgotten father of Madhu and her sister.

Hindi TV Serial - Madhubala - Madhu's love for RK now coming out

The serial is taking its own time to get to a point. For quite some time, the serial showed how RK caused harm to Madhu, in fact almost showing him to be a villain, causing harm to her family as well, and then forcefully marrying her. But, now, the serial has turned its direction, showing her to be slowly recognizing some of the good things that RK has been doing for her and her family. In fact, multiple times RK has been attacked by her father like figure, Mallick (who is like a father to them). Since RK had got Mallick badly beaten up earlier, and also that the marriage happened almost forcefully, Mallick tried multiple attempts on his life. RK survived all these attempts, and also managed to detect that it was Mallick behind all these attempts, but then did not get Mallick arrested or jailed, something that caused Madhu to see him in a new light.
So, now Madhu has fallen in love with RK, and they show this in a very cute way when she comes to the studio and then at home, where she visualizes the way that they interact with each other when both of them are in love (but these are all dream sequences). At the same time, Madhu has to content with Dipali, the wife of the step-brother of RK, with whom RK had a relation earlier, but who he now spurns and who cannot stand this being spurned (also it is RK who is the rich and powerful one, the one who Dipali would want to attract).
Now it is the time of Karva Chauth and although both Dipali and RK's mother are somewhat shocked, Madhu says that she wants to keep a fast for RK, and Dipali is shocked at this and vows to prevent her fast from being completed. At the same time, Madhu also realizes that it is not just a fast, but there needs to be sargi from her mother-in-law and mehendi that needs to be applied to her hands, and it is RK's assistant who is helping her in getting all these done.
