Jodha Akbar - Jalal goes to Amer for attending Sukanya's marriage

For some time now, there has been a greater closeness between Jalal and Jodha, although Jodha is very cynical about the motives of Jalal. Her initial experience with Jalal was pretty horrendous, especially when she was blamed for the death of his baby, and she and her brothers were faced with the death penalty. In the end, she was absolved of this, but this and other actions made her very suspecting of the motives of Jalal whenever he did something that seemed favorable towards her. So, when he marched along with her brothers to attack Sukanya's future in-laws because of a charge that they were supporting dacoits and thieves, she was horrified, but was not very astonished. And when this expedition resulted in the death of Sukanyan's future husband, she was very angry, but Jalal told her that this was his duty as a king; after all, one of his subjects had come to him for justice and he had just delivered justice.
However, she was even more astonished later to learn that it was Jalal who had helped in the securing of a proposal for Sukanya, and this had been accepted by both sides and the marriage had been accepted. She learned this when her father came to Agra to invite everybody for the marriage. However, this effort by Jalal did not only surprise Jodha, but also surprised Mahamanga, who was even more surprised that Jalal had accepted going to Amer to attend the marriage, although he would be going with a large security force in order to ensure that his safety was sure. When Jodha went to speak to Jalal about this, he taunted her in a way that seemed endearing, but she took this in a way that this was natural for Jalal to continue to hurt her, although his effort in getting a match for her sister was something that she was happy about.
In the meantime, Mahamanga had been warning Rukkaiya that she needs to control Jalal, he seemed to be getting closer to Jodha and this would be the end of Rukkaiya's control over the harem and over the palace. Rukkaiya was usual, very dismissive, after all, how could Jodha ever think of reaching her position. But, when she went to spoke to Jalal to try to prevent him from going to Amer, he shocked her strongly by admitting that he was deeply in love with Jodha and would do everything to curry her favor. When he saw that she was shocked enough, then he told her not to worry, that he was doing this to ensure that the Rajputana area was silent and obedient, and this was all politics, not any love for Jodha. This made Ruqaiyya more comfortable, especially with his trip to Amer.
And then there was the attack on Jalal and Jodha on the way to Amer, where they were on a boat. They were attacked by archers, and finally their own soldiers came in and defeated these archers. Jalal spoke to his army chief and shared his feeling that this was an attack by an insider and asked him to investigate. Finally when Jalal reaches Amer, will he come face to face with Maharana Pratap who is vehemently against Jalal and the way that the Rajput states are not acting against the Mughals.

Balika Vadhu - Things get very serious, Sanchi does drama of committing suicide

Balika Vadhu is getting very serious currently. The sudden view of the breaking off of relations between Jagya and Sanchi is causing huge upheavals, not only in the life of Jagya and Sanchi, but also in the life of Anandi. Any anger that people have towards Jagya and his family is also coming out in front of Anandi, especially from the perspective of Ira, who is putting all the blame for whatever happened on Anandi and the family.
So, when Sanchi came back after seeing Jagya put sindoor on Ganga, she was shocked, but not fully defeated. Even though her family was very angry at Jagya and did not want anything more to do with him, Sanchi still believed in getting Jagya for herself, and was looking for more strategies that would help ensure that Jagya came back to her and not go to Ganga. She even rationalized that just putting Sindoor does not make it a marriage and if things can be prevented from going further, then she should do this. And what better way to force somebody to come to her side than by putting on a huge emotional drama, the act of committing suicide. After all, this is a time tested formula that would work and ensure that she would get the sympathy of everybody, including Jagya.
However, on the other side, Jagya had also realized that he had put Ganga in a strange situation by putting Sindoor on her, since this was still not marriage. His mother and Dadisa were very angry with him and did not want him in the house, but Bhairon went to meet him to understand what had happened, and finally ended up accepting what he had. So, Jagya finally had a formal marriage with Ganga, to his mother's disappointment and fury. However, Bhairon prevented Sumitra from stopping the marriage which happened in a temple in front of a pandit with the havan and everything else.
In the meantime Sanchi tried to commit suicide by cutting her wrists, with the door open so that it would not convert into a reality, and Anandi saw her in time and alerted everyone so that she could be taken to the hospital before tragedy could occur. However, this was a huge shock to everyone and the anger towards Jagya had increased a lot; since this was obviously because of Jagya backing out of the marriage that this attempt at suicide had happened, and Anandi also got caught up in this one. Ira was extremely angry, and when Bhairon and Dadisa came there to express their sympathy, she was still very angry and also curt with Anandi, virtually threatening them that this would have a bad impact on Anandi as well, that her presence in the house was under threat because of all this. Even though Alok tried to counsel her, she was not really listening.
Instead, when she heard that Jagya had gotten married to Ganga, she was even more angry and lashed out at Anandi for whatever happened, for revealing things from her married family. Sanchi was also shocked when she heard about this marriage, since this meant that now Jagya would not have a change of mind and would not come back to her. In this situation, the threat of using the police for charging Jagya with abetting the suicide attempt of Sanchi was the game that would be played.

Jodha Akbar - Jalal was at death's door - Finally medicine from Jodha saved him

Another incident, another problem. This trip to Ajmer was the one which was going to be one of the turning points in the relation between Jodha and Akbar. Before the trip, Jodha was looking to going back to her Amer and leaving Jalal, but then she was rejected by her family; with this incident and with Jalal also taunting her before, she tried to commit suicide, but was saved by Jalal. He told her that she was a begum of the Mughal family and there was no way that she could commit suicide, she should know the prestige of her position and not trying to do something like this. He took her back Agra and bypassed the others around and put her in a room for the night. At the same time, it was told that Jalal needed to go to Ajmer along with a begum, so that the bad over his head could go, and the begum would be the one who would have the first light of sunrise to land on her. And you know what would have happened, the room where Jodha was there for the night was the one where Jodha had been kept by Jalal, and she was set for Ajmer. When Jalal asked her about why she wanted to go to Ajmer, and she could refuse, she refused to refuse and said that she would go to Ajmer.
On the other hand, Adham was hoping that this journey to Ajmer would be the last for the emperor and that Adham could be the next emperor. They had an eventful journey where they were also attacked, attacked by a Rajput who did not like the fact that Jodha was married to a Mughal emperor. This led to Jodha and Akbar staying in the same tent for security reasons, but jodha was not convinced and when Jalal came inside and took off her chunni, she was shocked and spoke out. But she became very embarrassed when it turned out that Jalal was doing this since there was a snake, and Jalal used this opportunity to tease her about this later as well.
On the return journey, Jalal wanted to do some hunting. However, Jodha did not like this hunting of innocents, and replaced the powder in his gun, so that when a tiger attacked them, Jalal was without his gun, having to fight with the tiger. Obviously, the tiger was more powerful and Jalal was severely wounded, and in mortal danger. Jodha was shocked at what had happened due to her actions, and now Jalal was under the care of the hakim, who was unable to stop the blood from flowing. Jodha took the courage to go and tell Ruqaiya about what had happened, although when Ruqaiya learned that Jodha had partial responsibility for what had happened, she slapped Jodha left and left.
In the meantime, Jodha refused to move out of there for her own security, and started preparing a medicine that she had seen at Amer, prepared by a great hakim. She gave this medicine which was used on Jalal. It stopped his blood from flowing, but also caused a high fever, which made the others more suspicious of what Jodha was upto. The Hakim was also called from Bhopal, although it would take some time for him to come. Finally he reached and confirmed that the medicine was correct, and the high fever would help to make him better again; and finally Jalal was feeling better. This entire episode also seemed to make Jalal and Jodha closer.

Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon - Pabbo and Dipali trying to stop Madhu from becoming the heroine

As usual, you would expect that the show would have a lot of drama before something happens. That has been the case with the serial, since before showing that something major happens, there will be a lot of suspense, Dipali will be involved in trying to prevent whatever Madhu and RK are trying to do, and so on. However, even though they come to know that Diplali is involved, they do not prevent her from doing so, and since each time, there is no punishment, you can be sure that the character of Dipali will continue in her quest to give them trouble and cause problems when they are trying to do so. Even otherwise, even though they show RK as very arrogant, he has let his step-father stay in the house even though his step-father was the one who was instrumental in preventing RK from working in the films industry and because of which he had to his own movie. So, finally RK, being a superstar, decided that he would produce a movie himself and set about arranging matters for the movie.
He asked Bittuji to set about arranging finance, and for the huge amount that was required, had to say that the house had to be set a security for the loan, which is a matter of risk since that meant if the movie was to fail to make enough money, then his house would be taken away to pay for the loan. He asked an actress for playing the role of the heroine, but she was already talking to the film producer who wanted to teach RK a lesson, and finally she refused to act in the movie. At this, finally RK decided that he already had somebody in the house who could become a heroine, and said that Madhu would be the heroine of the movie (the advantage is that there will be some more costs that are cut because of casting her as the main heroine).
However, Dipali is very against this movie, since it would significantly enhance the status of Madhu, especially if the movie was successful. Madhu on the other hand was agreeable to do this since RK's movie was in a problem and she felt it was her duty to support RK in this. It was after all a movie that he was producing. Initially, Pabbo was fine with this movie but after her guruji said something about this, and then Dipali also spent time with her to persuade her otherwise, she became dead set against this move to make Madhu the lead actress of the movie, and also spoke about this to RK. However, RK was not ready to initially listen to her about this, and said that Madhu was only doing her duty towards RK by becoming a part of the movie, and he would not listen to anybody speaking against Madhu. At this, Pabbo left the table and went to her room.
Later RK and Madhu went to her room so that they apologize for anything that could have hurt her, but found that she was not there. They started a hunt to find her, and finally Madhu found her in a temple and brought her back to the house, although she refused another attempt by Pabbo that Madhu not work in the movie. In the end, it is shown that Pabbo and Dipali join hands to stop Madhu from becoming the heroine of the movie.

Hindi TV Serial - Jodha Akbar - Jodha and Akbar go to Ajmer

There is a continuous bit of back and forth between Jodha and Akbar. Now, that the supposed truth about who had killed Jalal's son in Ruqaiya's womb was clear (the supposed double of Maha Manga, although the serial does show that Maha Manga was the one behind the murder, and had then taken the help of an old associate to do the actual killing - she wanted to ensure that the right of her own son Adham to the throne after Jalal is retained, which would be impossible if Jalal got a heir on the throne with the birth of his child if that was a son). Jodha was a bit unsure about whether it was Maha Manga who was behind this, but had to accept that the culprit was sentenced to death and then killed. A conclusion of this was that both Jodha and her brothers were freed from any guilt and this was admitted to by Jalal in front of others, which would be enough to ensure that their reputation was restored.
After this, Jodha had realized that this marriage was a mistake and talked to Jalal about this. He told her that he was ready to let her go back to Amer and she could go back with her brothers; but then Jodha found out that her brothers left without her since they had been given another work by her father (she did raise this with Jalal, but he said that this was not his fault, since he had not commanded her brothers to leave). However, Jodha, when she finally met her family realized that she was not going to get much help from them either; after all, the concept was that such a lot had happened to ensure that her marriage was stable, including the involvement of her brothers in the killing of her sister's future husband, and that, as per tradition, she could only leave Akbar when she was dead. Also, Jalal had told her that he only married her since he hated her.
Jodha was horrified over this, since now she realized that she was probably unwanted at both her inlaws and her parents and tried to jump into a lake to kill herself. Jalal realized that she was going to do this, and jumped after her and saved her from the water. When she came out, she asked him about why he saved her, and he told her that he did this since she was a Begum of the mughal royal family and committing suicide was not an option for her, she needs to respect her position. From now on, she needs to be more careful of what she was doing. And he was not responsible for what her family had told her. He took her back to the fort and told her that she would have to stay by herself in another enclosed room for the night. And when his mother asked about her, he told them that she was in a room by herself for the night and no one will meet her for this duration.
In the meantime, because of some problems happening to Jalal, it was foretold that he would need to go to Ajmer for prayers along with a begum, and the begum would be the one who would get to see the first rays of the light in the morning. As expected, Ruqayya says that she will be the one, and just at sunrise, goes to a room which is supposed to get the first rays of light, but is shocked when she opens the room and sees Jodha in there (this was the room where Jalal had kept Jodha). So it is Jodha who will go with Jalal, and his mother is very happy. On the other side, Adham is planning how to get rid of Jalal on this trip to Ajmer, since that will ensure that he gets to become the new king.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Priya still in a coma, starting to sink

This was a development that few people would have projected. And yet, there is an unsettling feeling about the way that the serial has taken such a serious topic and let it die down (hopefully it will get raised again as and when Priya comes out of her coma). 7 years back, Pihu had landed up in serious trouble when she fell in a rebellious love with Varun (who was the son of Shruti and the old enemy Ashwin). Varun was of course looking for revenge on Priya, and Pihu was the perfect way to take such revenge. What he neglected to remember in all his arrogance was that she was only 15 years old and underage, and the (rich and powerful) parents of such an underage girl would be very difficult to handle and could make life hell. And then when it came to the crunch, even Pihu chose to save herself and handed over Varun to go to hell. When it came to a situation where both of them were together in a room at the prom party, obviously upto no good and Priya caught them, things would get very problematic. Pihu prompty cried rape and the poor guy landed up in jail; with the powerful parents ensuring that the police did not listen to anyone and Varun also got beaten up. This caused huge problems to his family as well (his own life was ruined).
False allegations of rape can be a huge problem. Even though Varun was upto no good, he had not really done anything wrong so far and yet was now in a critical problem. The serial should have done some focusing on this area, instead they took it even further by showing that Varun was so overcome by the problems that happened to his parents and brother that he committed suicide. On the other side, Priya finally realized that there was something fishy and managed to get the truth out of Pihu; also realizing that her own attitude had also caused problems to Pihu. She meant to take Pihu to the police station but learnt that Varun had committed suicide, and then a car accident happened where she went into a coma because of her injuries and has been in the same state for 7 years now.
Cut to the current scene. The serial has not shown whether Pihu owned up to whatever happened 7 years back, but the family is still running smoothly. Ram has done both roles of mom and dad, and is also assisted a lot by the Neha and Vikram, and by Juhi, who was an old friend of Priya and had just met her a few days back 7 years ago. She has taken so much charge of their lives that the children call her choti mom (younger mother now). In fact, the children have started to feel that everybody should accept that Priya is not going to come out of the coma and that Ram should get remarried to Juhi so that things get more settled for him. Ram of course is shocked at this and says that nothing like this is going to happen.
The situation on the front of Priya is starting to get worse with doctors saying that if Priya does not come out of coma this year, she may never come out of the coma, and further still, her organs are now starting to sink and she is getting into trouble. Ram is horrified at this news, and although he has been visiting her at the hospital every day for 7 years, he decides to make a change and bring her home so that she can come to comfortable surroundings and maybe now come out of the coma.

Hindi TV Serial - Balika Vadhu - Jagya says no to the marriage, shocks everyone

For some time now, the serial has been showing Jagya getting very confused about what he wants. He had some affection for Ganga, and he was thinking that this was part of his duty towards her. It was surprising to the viewers of the serial that the serial showed him agreeing to marriage with Sanchi, although to everybody in the serial, they could see that Sanchi was making a lot of effort to get closer to Jagya and his family, changing herself to become more traditional and able to fit in the Singh household, and also losing some of the arrogance that she had.
However, as Ganga had left the house and even left the city to go do a course elsewhere, Jagya was even missing her more. Others close to him such as Lal Singh and Anandi had also noticed this, and questioned him more about what he wanted and what was in his mind. Finally he admitted to himself that he was indeed in deep love with Ganga, but at the same time, he also realized that he had said yes to Sanchi and they had also got engaged; backing out at this juncture would lead to a lot of problems for everybody and a lot of people would be hurt. So, despite knowing that he would not be happy with Sanchi, he was unwilling to break the relationship.
But then sometime or the other, Jagya would come to know the true feelings for Sanchi. She was still totally infatuated with Jagya, but that was it, her arrogance and selfishness were still present. Jagya and Anandi were at a restaurant to discuss the marriage, and where Jagya asked Anandi about what she felt, whether Sanchi had changed. Anandi of course said that she was convinced that Sanchi had totally changed, had given up her arrogance and was trying her best about how to live in Jagya's house and adopt the different and more conservative customs that were present there. Now, there is no objection if somebody wants to change the customs, but not when they are lying about their feelings for the same; Sanchi has always made it seem that she wants to adopt the customs of Jagya's house while she had no feelings regarding the same.
So, Sanchi was with her friends and both Jagya and Anandi had heard a lot of stuff that made Jagya surprised and would have made Anandi ashamed about the praise she had given to Sanchi. Sanchi was heard very clearly telling her friends that she was pretending to change herself, her aim was to ensure that once she was married, she would make Jagya leave Jaitsar and go to either Mumbai or overseas, the feelings of his family be damned. Both Jagya and Anandi were shocked to hear all this.
At this, Jagya was confused about what to do. He finally decided to make a break and went to his inlaws house and told them, not about what Sanchi had said, but that he had thought a lot about the relationship and the impending marriage and he did not think that they were the same kind of people. And hence, after some more similar words, he finally said that he was calling off the marriage. Everybody was shocked; even Anandi since she had asked Jagya to think this over and then decide what to do. The family members pleaded with Jagya, even caught his collar, but he refused to change his decision and pleaded for forgiveness for his decision, but said that he could not change his decision. This will have a lot of ripple effects on the entire family, and since Anandi is considered to be from Jagya's house, maybe to her as well.

Hindi TV - Qubool Hain - Ayyan and Zoya get married by mistake

As usual, when something is going right, things have to go wrong. However, even though Qubool Hain has reached some high ratings, it is starting to get boring with the same sequences running again and again. How can the same person be involved in everything, and the same thing keep on happening again and again, as it seems to happen in the serial from time to time. So, Tanveer keeps on appearing in the serial again and again, and even though she is caught every time, she is free to do what she wants on every occasion. In the current episode again, Tanveer has been blackmailing Imran with the truth that is the father of her baby and if she reveals all this, his life would be ruined. It is without doubt that this marriage to Najma would be over as well. And Zoya has started seeing something suspicious with the presence of Tanveer nearby, and Tanveer is increasing this suspicion, in the plan of getting Zoya caught so that Tanveer can actually kill Zoya (and in fact, viewers would not have guessed something like this). Finally Zoya, without telling Asad goes off on a plan to catch Tanveer and lands up in a deserted hospital, caught by Tanveer. She is in deep trouble right now. Tanveer has her goons tie up Zoya to a bed and then after some lectures, injects her with poison. However, Zoya is able to run away from there but with the goons chasing her.
On the other side, Ayyan and Humera are in the car, happy since they have just taken the opportunity to get out of the house and go for some shopping. But soon Vikram is after them and tries to catch them. There is a lot of fighting, and finally even though Ayyan is injured, they manage to get away from there. The goons are after them, and they take shelter in a community center where a mass marriage programmer is underway. Zoya has already reached there, and everybody can predict what will happen next. It is like a procedure that happens step by step. They wear marriage dresses so that they cannot be seen; then Ayyan leaves Humera so that he can see whether the goons have gone away but is seen and has to move quickly. And they both sit opposite each other as a part of those getting married, and when the maulvi asks them Qubool Hain, they are both preoccupied and say something that seems like agreement. And lo and presto, they are now married.
Once this happens and the maulvi congratulates them (and Ayyan has already been recognized), they are in a state of shock. They tell each other that is not it, and also that they will not tell anybody else about this marriage but already their state has changed so much that people can see something is different.
Ayyan goes back home with Humera although she can see some change in him; he tells the others about the encounter with Vikram and they can also see that he is hurt; and then it is revealed that he is already married and when asked, he confirms. On the other side, there is the marriage of Imran and Najma along with the marriage of Asad and Zoya, and the wedding of Imran and Najma happens (Zoya is unable to reach in time to stop the marriage). However, Asad is very angry that Zoya had again left in the nick of time, and she has to now tell him what happened, and he will do the right thing, which is ask her to live with this marriage.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Another leap, but some tragic scenes before that

The serial goes serious from time to time, but it has never got as serious as is happening now. The question of misuse of the strong anti-rape and anti-harassment laws do come up from time to time in the papers and in court cases; the serial took a case like that but has not really taken the question through the whole discussion. In addition, for some time now, it was clear that the serial will go through 2 time-leaps, with the first leap happening for a period of 9 years and with the serial staying in that period for a time of around a month or so, and then moving for another time leap for a period of 7 years.
During the prom night, when Pihu had agreed to the question by Varun of changing the prom dress and being intimate in the room, that was the night where Priya had caught them before something could happen. And since Pihu was scared of what would happen to her, she screamed that Varun was trying to rape her; and this made Priya ballistic. She anyhow believed very strongly in her daughter and had fought with others who tried to tell her that Pihu was making a fool of her. Priya in turn called Ram, who was equally angry and got the police to come and arrest Varun. Varun in the meantime was denying that he was forcing anything, that Pihu was agreeable to whatever he said. But given that Ram was a powerful businessman and was very angry, no one was willing to listen to anything that Varun or even his family was willing to say.
However, Ram was persuaded by Neha and Saumya to come to Neha's house and listen to a few of Varun's friends who told him that things were not what he was made to believe. That there were so many phone conversations and messages between Varun and Pihu and that everything was with the consent of both of them. Ram came back to his house disturbed and wanted to have a clear conversation with Pihu about this; he did push back once or twice at Priya when she tried to butt in, but in the end, there was also the impending trip to London for a business deal that had to happen and he had to leave. In the meantime, a lot of further bad things were happening with Varun and his family, since his brother and sister were forced out from their schools, and they had to face a lot of bad name. They came in and scolded Varun a lot about what he wanted to do, and left him very disturbed.
In the end, Priya wanted to lighten the mood of Pihu and so took her phone to try and call her friend Geetika, but found that she was reaching the number of Varun; his brother took the phone and pleaded with Priya to help. Normally Priya would have done something, but since she could see that Pihu had the number as Geetika but it was actually Varun, she decided to confront Pihu. Finally Pihu admitted to all this, and Priya was aghast at what had happened since it meant that Pihu, in trying to save herself, had also sent an innocent boy to jail. Pihu did strike back to some degree, saying that it was continuous pressure from Priya and Ram which finally caused her to break free; Priya wanted to tell Ram everything but was not able to reach him. She called the police station and told them not to take any further action on Varun, but he had committed suicide because of the enormity of what all had happened. When driving further to the police station, they had an accident because of which Pihu did not suffer much but Priya went into a coma which has now continued for 7 years. There is the marriage of Neha and Vikram's daughter Riddhima happening for which there are a lot of festivities.

Hindi TV Serial - Devon Ke Dev Mahadev - Andhak moves forward, Ram on the verge of his exile

As usual, the serial continues to ensure that it keeps on moving fast in the story and not letting people get bored (while so many stories continue to remain slow and start boring people who have so many alternatives nowadays). The 2 stories that have been ongoing right now are the story of Andhak and the story of Ram, and you would expect the story of Ram to be a bigger story, since it is also the story where the defeat of Ravan happens.
So, the story of Andhak is the story where this guy will be a great warrior, but evil in all ways. As Mahadev explained, Andhak was born when Mahadev's eyes were closed by Parvathi for a brief instant, and in that time, when there was darkness everywhere, Andhak was born. He was born blind and adopted by a passing king and his wife. However, soon after, the king had natural children and his affection for this blind boy started reducing. The boy was also taunted by his other half-brothers, who made fun of his blindness and did not give him any love or affection, which in turn further increased his evilness. All this while, Mahadev knew where this was leading.
Finally Andhak, when older was paid a visit by Narad Muni who was trying to set him on a path where he would be trying to tough prayer to Brahmadev, but Andhak took this seriously and started some intense prayers to Brahma, and finally Brahma had to come and be pleased with his prayers (after Andhak started sacrificing his body as a part of prayers). But the boons that Andhak took from Brahma showed that he was on the path of more evil, since he got a boon from Brahma to get extremely strong ear power, he could immediately understand everything that was going around due to his hearing. And then the other thing was that his death was made more difficult since it would only happen when he asked for sight, which Andhak thought could never happen. Soon after, he had a fight with his brothers where he defeated them and then imprisoned them and his parents and took over. Now, Mahadev met him, but he was stuck on going on the path he was taking.
On the other side, in Ayodhya, things were going fine. Ram had grown older and his father, king Dashrath, wanted to ensure that he finally placed Ram on the throne succession and was going to announce the same. However, this was not the right thing since the mission of Ram was to kill Ravan, and so every god wanted to ensure that Ram did not take the throne and instead setout on a mission where he could finally kill Ravan. So, since Manthra was there to sway Queen Kaikeyi, she finally managed to persuade the queen that the placing of Ram on the throne would ensure that her own son Bharath would not have any further power and she in turn would become a servant to Ram. Finally, after a lot of persuasion, the Queen decided to exercise the twin vows that the king owed to her. She finally went to the kind and told him what she wanted; he was shocked and tried to change her mind. She refused and said he could of course go back on his vows, but that was not possible; and when Ram got to know the reason for his father suffering, he said that he would do whatever Queen Kaikei wanted.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Varun in deep trouble

Suddenly they are showing the character of Pihu in a totally new light, very negative. Maybe it is the fact that her mother has always been like a dominant character rather than a true friend, but whatever be the reason, the serial has suddenly made Pihu out like a total villain. Even though she is just 15 years old, apparently the instinct of self-preservation has made sure that Pihu will lie and do whatever else is required to ensure that she does not get into trouble. At the same time, some of the circumstances shown in the serial are not logical. If Pihu is so much in love with Varun, it does not make sense that she would turn around and suddenly pin a rape charge on Varun, especially because it has such a significant impact. For a young man to be charged with the rape of a minor, especially when the father of the minor is a rich and powerful businessman is equivalent to the end of all his dreams and ambitions.
At the same time, the young man was in his own air, feeling that he would be the one to take revenge for the slaps and humiliation he got. So, Varun, after being humiliated by Priya and by her mother, and then being slapped by his own mother because she was called to the principal's office because of him; he was angry and wanted revenge. Who better to be the instrument for taking revenge but the young and impressionable Pihu. So, first he gets Pihu to deny the allegation that Neha was making against her, and because of this Priya and Neha had a fight. And then he wanted to get Pihu in such a position, by getting her to be intimate with him and with his friends witnessing that, which would cause a lot of humiliation for Pihu and her mother. However, he forgot that Pihu is a 15 year old, and so even if she gave her consent to such intimacy, it did not mean anything and Ram and Priya could make his life miserable. However, this plan was failed just in the nick of time. He sent Pihu to a room at the prom for changing, she went inside without locking the door for changing (ridiculous) and then he stepped in and asked his friends to come in after around 10 minutes so that they could see whatever happened.
It was his ultimate back luck that Priya saw that Pihu had left her phone in the car and went back to the party to give the phone, and she discovered both Pihu and Varun in the room, in the dark. She went ballistic, and seeing this, Pihu did something strange, given that she apparently loved Varun so much that she was willing to be intimate with him; she told her mother that Varun had followed her (she had come up to change her dress because there was a stain on it) and then tried to force herself on her. On hearing this, Priya grew furious, and started scolding and beating Varun and also called Ram, who finally called the police. Varun kept on protesting that Pihu was equally involved in all this, but nobody listened to him and he was taken to the police station. Pihu refused to have a medical test done, which is a standard test in the case of assault. However, Neha was suspicious about all this, and later Saumya also noticed that there was no stain on Pihu's dress. But for now Priya is not willing to listen to anything.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Tension in the house as Suraj not yet come for Rakhi

There is a lot of tension in the house. Even though Suraj and Sandhya have left the house, it is time for Rakhi and everybody is expecting that since this is Chavvi's last rakhi before she leaves after marriage, it will be a grand celebration. And since both Mohit and Vikram are not earning all that much, they are not really in a position to do a grand celebration. So, it all boils down to Suraj doing his duty.
However, there has to be drama shown in the serial and so you see the case where after doing their purchasing of a good diamond jewelery item in the shop in Mt. Abu, both Suraj and Sandhya are stuck in a lift due to a power cut. It is late and they realize that nobody can listen to them since they are stuck inside the lift. They try their best to see how they can get the lift opened, but it does not work. So, they are now settled inside the lift for the night, hoping that they can get out in the morning.
In the meantime, in the Rathi house, the usual system of taunting is ongoing. Meena knows that both Mohit and Emily don't have much money, and so she tells them that they would be unable to do anything for the rakhi celebration for Chhavi, in a way that they hear. Bhabho also hears this, and to ensure that Emily does not feel hurt, she gives a gold earring to Emily so that this can be presented to Chhavi by Emily. Emily is happy that she seems to have made a place in Bhabho's heart even though Mohit remains distant from her.
In another discussion, Bhabho have been having a discussion with Vikram and Mohit about the celebration for Chhavi, but both of them claim that they do not have much money and hence cannot contribute too much. And in the midst of all this is ongoing conversation about why Suraj has not turned up yet. There is some taunting that Suraj and Sandhya have gone for a vacation, and hence would not be back. And then Meena's mother comes in with another bit of news that Suraj had bought a necklace worth Rs. 55,000 for Sandhya. Everybody is shocked at this, with Mohit even suggesting that the sweet shop was actually in the name of Bhabho and hence the money from the shop should be given to Bhabho rather than Suraj spending it for Sandhaya. Bhabho is listening to all this, but is not yet ready to defend Suraj on all this.
In the meantime, finally Suraj and Sandhya get free from their imprisonment in the lift, and rush out. They take a jeep, getting the taxi jeep to move fast by playing on his going to miss the rakhi festival. In the meantime, in the house, there are a lot of questions about the 3 rakhis on the plate, since it would seem to everybody that Suraj is not going to be able to make it to the house in time. And then they hear a noise of a procession from outside, and it is Suraj and Sandhya; and when Suraj enters the house, he gives a necklace to Chhavi, with this being a gold necklace that was the one that he apparently purchased from the jeweller shop.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Major fight between Priya and Neha, all conversation off

Like any other serial, the fun of a serial is in switching things quickly, changing relationships between characters to bring in some novelty into the serial and hope that the viewers like the change. A couple of months back, the serial tried to insert a lot of discord between Ram and Priya with the apparent news of a divorce between the 2 coming up, but given that the relationship between them is keeping the serial up, that was not liked by the viewers and the serial had to drop the plan.
So what is the next big relationship that can provide some news if the serial shows a large gap in that relationship; that is the relationship between Priya and Neha, and so the serial is now showing that the relationship has suddenly gone for a toss. These 2 friends are not even speaking to each other, and the serial shows quite clearly that all this was because of Priya; who jumped the gun and did not listen to what her close friend was trying to say.
The whole deal is about Pihu. She is shown as young, barely 15, and with all the emotional drama that people at her age are going through. She is interested in one of the hotshots, Varun, but he rebuffs her in his typical arrogant manner; her mother finds out and gets him a tongue lashing from school and from his parents (who, in the most normal coincidences, are Ashwin and Shruti). Shruti of course knows that it is best not to tangle with Priya and quickly draws down, but not before delivering a slap to her son in front of the others. He also hears his parents discussing this later and learns that his father and Priya almost had a relationship, and that Ashwin has suffered in his interactions with Priya and Ram. He is pained at everything that he has suffered.
So Varun desires revenge, and what better way to get revenge than through their daughter (and in the rush of youth does not realize of course that if Ram actually got down to revenge, he could totally destroy Varun and his parents). He asks Pihu about her mother and his father; she asks her mother, who denies it. And then Pihu hears her mother admit it in front of others, and she feels that her mother is not to be trusted. So, in this confusion, she turns to Varun, who embraces her as part of his plan.
However, the next day Neha sees Varun and Pihu together and follows them. Finally, she is shocked when she sees them together in the changing room and drags Pihu out of there and takes her back to the house and tells Priya about what all has happened. However, at this time, Pihu denies that anything like the changing room happens, and says that varun was following her and that Neha is lying. Neha is shocked, and slaps Pihu. Priya tried to make sense, and when Pihu denies that this happened, Priya calls the store and speaks to the manager. The manager was paid by Varun and tells her that nothing like this happened. At this, Priya tells Neha that she was being paranoid and this is because of the mistakes she made when she was young; at this, she realizes that something horrible has happened. At this, Neha tells her that this has now gone beyond their friendship and walks out. On the other hand, Priya speaks a lot of stuff about how her values have made sure that Pihu has good values, and that if anybody challenges Pihu, they are challenging the values of Priya. 

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Priya going to face problems because of Pihu

Somehow, the concept of a Hindi serial is that if something has to go wrong, it will go wrong to the family in the serial. Watching Bade Acche Lagte Hain for the time being reminds me of another serial on Sony, Parvarish. It takes a look at the growing up of children and the problems they and their parents go through, and is that Bade Acche Lagte Hain has now started on the line of. I hope that they end this drama about the growing up pangs of Pihu quickly, since the serial has again started becoming boring (and I think that this is a specialty of Ekta's serials after a time-leap; the serial tries to use the viewership it has gained over the past and use this while it takes up the boring story line soon after the time leap). In the current concept, the serial is primarily focusing on the life of Pihu. She is no longer the cute young girl who you saw as a 5 year old, but is now a teenager in the midst of all her angst and tensions about growing up, about trying to ensure that boys are interested in her (so that she does not feel like an outsider and so on).
Pihu meets Varun in college, and Varun is a big shot in terms of his claims to be from a rich family, he is good in sports and others, and does not care too much about Pihu, while she wants to be friends with him. However, it finally turns out that he insults her, and she is very hurt and leaves from there. And that is where Ram gets Akshay Kumar (the film star) to take her to a party in the college for the promo of Once Upon a time in Mumbai Dobara. Akshay goes there, already knows about Varun, calls him and gives him a hearing out. However, the next day Varun further insults Pihu and drives her to tears. She goes home, with a protective Priya getting the truth out from her, they to the college and meet the principal, and Varun's parents get called. And of course, you know that these have to be people who Priya already knows - Ashwin and Shruti. The principal tells them to warn Varun else his scholarship and his admission in the college will be in danger. Of course, Ashwin is very angry at this attack from Priya and then Varun overhears a discussion between his parents which shows him a plan of action to get back at Priya through Pihu.
He tells Pihu that all this is because of an earlier relationship between Priya and Ashwin, and when Pihu asks Priya about this, she talks to Ram and they do finally decide that there is no point of telling Pihu about all this, and so Priya tells something else to Pihu. However, Shruti was also angry about Priya taunting her, and when she sees Pihu calling Varun, she tells Priya that it is Pihu who is chasing Varun and not the other way. They go to a restaurant where Pihu is to come, and there Pihu overhears the discussion between Priya and Shruti over Ashwin, and Pihu thinks that her mother has lied to her. As a result, she is now easily swayed by Varun (forgetting everything that he has done to her) and goes with him; Varun is happy that he has discovered a path to get revenge on Priya; and of course, as you would expect, Ram does not know anything about all this. However, Neha sees Pihu with Varun.

Hindi TV Serial - Qubool Hain - Hasina calls both Najma and Nikhat to have a clash

For some time now, the makers of the serial have been stating that what has happened in the serial till now is only a starting point, the real story will be the clash of brothers, and since Asad and Ayyan are the only brothers in the serial, that seems like the only clash that will be there in the serial. Now, it seems like the start of that has happened, with the clash happening due to a marriage proposal for their sister with the same guy,
The main proponent of this clash, or rather, the reason was Imran. Imran was supposed to marry Nikhat, and she was in love with him. However, over a period of time, there was one reason or the other for the proposal to get stuck or delayed; once there was a clash between Imran and Ayyan, at another time Hasina wanted something more. This time, Hasina wanted her family members to be given a gold coin, and Rashid refused this another demand. One thing led to another, and finally Nikhat stepped in and said that she supported her father, and that this demand was unreasonable, even when Hasina warned her not to say anything more. Finally this led to the relationship getting cut, and although Nikhat asked Imran to say something, he refused to speak up.
And of course, he refused to say something since he was no longer interested in a marriage with Nikhat. To the surprise of none of the viewers, the girl he was interested in was actually Najma. So, when the relationship with Nikhat broke up, he re-started the line with Najma and approached Asad and his mother. They were very surprised when Najma told them about this, and Asad also realized the complication since Nikhat was also his sister, being his step-sister though and being the real sister of Ayyan. Asad did speak to Nikhat over the phone, although their conversation was not as detailed as he would have liked. She did say that she has got over Imran, although he was not able to tell her that they were interested in Najma getting married to Imran.
And then Hasina calls both of them over to their house, where they are confused to see each other; although things become clear, and then Imran also makes it clear that he was interested in Najma not Nikhat. Ayyan gets very angry at this, and tries to hit Imran, but Asad steps in and prevents him from doing this. This was the first major clash between the brothers, although there was a clash between them when Rashid was arrested for the older crime of the fire at the factory 17 years back.
However, things are now more complicated. Imran is pushing for an early resolution of the date of the marriage, and Asad wants to move carefully because of the impact this may have on Nikhat and the tension between the family members.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Suraj and Sandhya leave the home, Bhabho riding on her ego

The first sign of a split in the household, but the makers of the serial are also trying to convey that this is not the intent of the serial. After all, for the past few episodes, they have shown 2 conflicting points - Suraj badly wants to ensure that Sandhya lives upto the ambition of her parents and herself and becomes an IPS officer. Sandhya also wants that, but is hesitant to go with full effort towards this goal. Due to her realization of the time that Bhabho tried to give her liqour chocolates so that she would miss the exam, she realized that Bhabho desperately wants to ensure that Sandhya remains the bahu of the house, and not give into the quest to become an IPS office. She is reluctant to break this hope of Bhabho, but at the same time, Suraj has invested a lot of his emotions in ensuring that she lives upto her dreams, and hence is caught in this conflict. Bhabasa learns all this when he questions her about her not trying her best in the final round of the show, and finally tells her that she must live upto the dreams of everybody and Suraj will handle Bhabho. Well, she does win the show and comes home to a time of a lot of tension.
As usual, when she comes home, Meena has done a lot to stir the pot. She got some of the neighbors to come to the house for the welcoming of Sandhya after winning the contest, and also tried to provoke Bhabho by referring to the third pot which will now not be broken. At this, Bhabhasa tells her to take the pot to her room and ensure that it does not break. However, Bhabho is in a highly angry mood and even refuses the sweet that has been prepared by Chaturi in celebration of the win; and this win means that there is no further effort from Bhabho's side to prepare for the contest.
Bhabho later taunts Suraj for solely trying to fulfil the wishes of his wife, but he tells her that this is unfair. When he did for others, he was a good brother, a good son, but when he tries to do for his wife, he is now suddenly become a slave to his wife. However, he tells Bhabho that since things are bad between them now, he will leave the house. Everybody in the house is shocked and try to stop him, but Bhabho is so angry right now that she says that if they want to leave, they should leave. He tells Bhabho that he believes that she will come to take him in 15 days only (and with the kind of other children that she has, it will be in less than 15 days that she would realize his true worth), but Bhabho tells him that she will not come to take him in. When Sandhya objects, he tells her that this is not because of her and she has to leave the house as well.
Things are otherwise difficult in the house. Emily and Mohit are tense because Mohit is short of money and was hoping that Emily might win something, after all, Bhabho could come to him anytime for the money; and even otherwise Meena should be totally distraught since that means most of the money needed for running the house should now come from Vikram, and Meena would be horrified at that. Bhabho already knows the kind of lies that her own daughter Chavi can say, since she had tested this out and determined this.

Hindi TV Serial - Qubool Hain - Razia exposed to everyone at home

The serial has been showing suspense for quite some time. The way in which Razia has been holding Babi Bi hostage and in a drugged state inside the house was getting boring and frustrating for viewers, and the new episode of how Humeira lost her memory and thought that she was a married lady called Rajni, and then the emergence of a crook called Vikram, was making the story very boring, and the serial was feeling stretched. Finally the makers of the serial used the occasion of the holy day of Eid to solve some of these problems and do disclosure. Another major suspense that was going on for some time was the puzzle of who was the father of Zoya, who was brought up as an orphan, even though her father was alive. Zoya had come to India, away from her adopted family, to hunt for her family, and this hunt was shown for many many months, with suspense from time to time, but feeling very stretched. Over a period of time, the viewers were shown that the father was Siddiqui, and both his wife Razia and Tanveer knew about this. Razia was determined to ensure that neither Zoya nor Sidduiqi got to know about this, and Tanveer was using this knowledge to get Zoya out of her way, so that she could marry Asad.
And then came the occasion of Eid, and an Eid party that Asad was giving. Since this was an Eid party, Rashid and his family, as well as Siddiqui and his family were all attending the party. In addition, there were some stories ongoing. The marriage of Nikhat was in deep trouble; she was in love with Imran, but his mother was determined to ensure that she played the role of a dominating mother-in-law. They had a lot of demands, although Rashid had met all of them. However, at the end, she wanted Rashid to give gold coins to all her relatives, and at this, Rashid received. She raised a lot of furore at this, and even made many negative reference to the looks of Nikhat, but then finally Nikhat stepped in and told that she would rather drop the marriage than keep on meeting more such demands. Finally the marriage was off, although Nikhat was deeply troubled that her fiancee, Imran did not anything to oppose his mother. So for now the relationship is over. However, Imran has his own problems, since he had an existing relation with Najma (a big complication, since Najma is the sister of Nikhat, both being the daughter's of Rashid). And of course, it turns out that there is also the involvement of Tanveer, with Imran being the father of her child; and Tanveer is now blackmailing him for the same. As a result, the character of Imran is now depicted as being pretty bad.
The biggest story was about the downfall of Razia. Razia had involved the guy impersonating Vikram (the assumed husband of Humeira / Rajni) in her plan of getting rid of BadiBi (she caught him stealing from the house while he saw her taking an unconscious BadiBi out of the house). By mistake, Badibi was in the same car that was taking Siddiqui to the party in Asad's house, and there Razia was trying her best to hide BabiBi from everyone. But Asad and Zoya saw something suspicious; and then in another story, Vikram had taken Humeira to a different place where he was trying to rape her, and Ayyan came there and beat up Vikram. At that time, there was a call from Razia to his phone about trying to take away BadiBi, and this was recorded. As a result, overall, BadiBi was found and she also revealed that Razia was the one who was doing all this to her. At this, Rashid went ballistic, and told Siddiqui that he wanted justice, and Siddiqui promised him the same once they reached home. There, finally Rashid said that he wanted Razia to see the same pain as he had felt separated from his mother, and she was sent off to a prison kind of home, where she will apparently face some rough treatment, although how this happened is not clear.
A good thing for Zoya at this party was that she finally found that her father was alive, since she used the musical toy music on the speaker system, and then found that somebody had placed the twin of that toy on the table, and nobody could do that except her father.

Hindi TV Serial - Jodha Akbar - Jodha married to Akbar, comes into the harem

A serial on Jodha Akbar is always going to be controversial, but with the success of Devon Ke Dev, there was again a quest for having serials based on mythology or history, and so Ekta Kapoor comes up with the idea of having a serial based on the story of Jodha Akbar. Now, even when the film came up, there was a controversy since the historical record of that time really does not prove that such a story of the immense love between the Mughal emperor Jalal Akbar and a Rajput princess Jodha; and sections of the Rajput community see such a story as besmirching the warrior reputation of the Rajputs. After all, the Rajputs have a long history of fighting with the Mughals, but at the same time, there were many cases of Rajput rulers choosing to make peace with the Mughals (or the Delhi Sultanate before them), and one of the strongest ways of forming an alliance was through marriages, so getting a daughter married off to a Mughal ruler was seen as forming a strong alliance.

The history of the Mughal emperor Akbar was a violent one. His father, Humayun, had been toppled off his throne by Sher Shah Suri and had to spend a large amount of time traveling from one place to another, trying to mobilise an army to take back his kingdom. As a result, the birth of Akbar was during the time he was wandering, and much of his childhood was spent as his father was fighting, and even when Humayun did manage to win back his kingdom, he died soon after and a young Jalal had become the ruler. Thus, he was supposed to have become a very hard person, not prone to showing gentleness, and would give ultimatums to rival kingdoms that either they accepted him as their ruler, or else he would fight them, and then there would be no mercy. This is what happened to the ruler of Amer, who decided to accept the emperor Jalal as their ruler and decided that the young Jodha would also become another wife of Jalal, he already having a harem with other wives.

So, Jodha is not very happy about this, but there is very little choice, after all, the safety of her kingdom is at stake. She however asks Jalal to promise that she will be allowed to remain a Hindu, and will also have her god with her at her palace in Jalal's palace so that she can pray to her god. He agrees to both of these conditions, but otherwise he does not care too much. His mother on the other hand hopes that this feisty Rajput princess will finally break the coldness of her son's heart and make him a better man. So, finally Jodha comes to the palace for the wedding, with her presence causing the chief wife of Jalal, Queen Ruqaiya, to think that she also needs to bring this young wife of the emperor to quickly learn her place in the palace and understand that it is Queen Ruqaiya, who is the head of the harem and the person to whom Jalal goes to. On another problem is Mahamanga who is the one who has provided advice to Jalal from the beginning, and who also does not like the presence of Jodha in the palace and who tells Ruqaiya that she will work with her to show this new wife her place and ensure that she is embarrassed. 

Hindi TV Serial - Meri Bhabhi - Planning for the anniversary party of Kittu and Anand

The serial is starting out with the best of feelings between the sister-in-laws of the family. On the one side is Shraddha, who has been ditched by her husband Bobby, and on the other side is Kittu, married to Shraddha's brother Anand. Ever since Kittu found about the condition of Shraddha, she is providing a great deal of support to Shraddha, ensuring that she did not get into a depression. However, like any other serial, there is an awful lot of temptation to try to make the serial more attractive to viewers who want masala in their life, and hence there are a couple more negative characters in the serial. One of them is the mother of Kittu, Kamini who believes that the presence of Shraddha will have a bad impact on her daughter and her marriage and even otherwise does not seem to have any sympathy for Shraddha. Also, the other daughter-in-law of the family, Jaya, also does not like the presence of Shraddha in the house, while for everybody else in the house, having Shraddha there is the logical outcome of her current position.
Shraddha suffered an even bigger shock because of the re-arrival of Bobby. The family wanted to talk to Bobby, Shraddha's husband who had left her, to figure out what is going on in their relationship and why they are separated. So everybody is very happy when Bobby comes to the house, and is very apologetic over what happened. They feel that now Shraddha will be happy, and so will be their son who is badly missing his father, and then Bobby reveals his problems. He tells them that he wants to have Shraddha with him and is trying to arrange for a place to stay, and trying to arrange for money for the same.
Believing him, everybody feels sympathy for him; Kittu wants to make things better for Shraddha, and without telling her husband, she forces Bobby to accept lakhs of rupees. Shraddha's parents also ask Bobby to take some money from them; all this without telling Anand. Anand does not believe what Bobby is saying, and wants to make clear that they can only trust him so much. And Bobby proves Anand right, by running away with the money that he got from them. But Anand and Shraddha pursue him to Bombay, and find him with another lady, telling her that if he now wants to get more money, he will come and get more money from Shraddha. Anand gets angry at Bobby, and when Bobby makes some bad comments about Shraddha, he beats him up with Bobby trying to escape from him.
Now Shraddha is sure that there is no going back, especially after hearing what Bobby was saying about her. She decides that there is no other option than to divorce Bobby, and tells the family about this decision.
On the other side, Kittu is reminder by her mom about the upcoming anniversary celebration, and talks to Anand about this. He is angry and claims that with all this happening to Shraddha, how could she even think about the anniversary. However, he later realizes that he should not have acted like this, and decides to get her a present. Kamini decides to hold the anniversary party, and then discourages Shraddha from attending, but this will surely lead to a lot of drama.

Hindi TV Serial - Do Dil Ek Jaan - Antara taking care of Aaji, while Rasika plans

The serial started out with Antara and her family being forced to flee Kashmir because her father was killed, since he was standing upto the terrorists and helping the security forces. They decide to leave the place and their memories and come to Mumbai to make a new life. They are not very rich, and the relative they come to live with is not rich either. They come to the chawl in Mumbai and come into contact with Raghu, who is the local tough guy of the neighborhood, and the interaction between them is also somewhat furious. Antara does not like the attitude of this tough guy, and even complains to the police when she sees him taking part in some violence. However, against her own wishes, she is forced to take back her complaint since her uncle does not want this matter to go to the police, especially where it involves Raghu. The police inspector beat up Raghu a lot, but he does not admit to anything, making the police officer feel amazement that Raghu is able to take such punishment and not protest over all this.
They have more interactions over the next period of time, but Antara's attitude towards Raghu does not really change, since she still sees him as rude, very harsh and so on. She is also suffering in another way, since her brother has not really been told his that father is dead and her mother has not accepted the death of her husband. They have more problems where Raghu locks them up, and then stops the water supply to their house, wanting Antara to apologize for whatever she has said to him and for slapping him, and Antara does finally apologize for the same.
In between Ishaan, Antara's brother is told the truth about the death of his father and decides to go to Srinagar to leave for his father. Rahu and Antara finally find him, but then are stuck for some time since Shetty's goons are now looking for Raghu and want to kill him. He is with Antara and Ishaan for now, and hides along with them until the threat from Shetty's men is solved and they are able to get back to the safety of their house.
Antara is looking for a job, and applies for one with some amount of confidence, but gets late to reach there and does not get the job. She needs a job, and then Raghu's Aaji offers her a job to take care of Aaji; Aaji likes Antara and wants to take multiple opportunities to bring Raghu and Antara together. In the house, Rasik and Aaji do not really get along, and Rasika wants to use the opportunity to get Raghu to kick Antara out of her job; so when Antara wants to get the slippers of Aaji repaired, Rasika breaks the repaired slippers and also puts broken glass in the room so that Aaji will get injured and this will cause Raghu to get very angry. Things work to this plan to a large degree,  with Aaji getting injured, but she does not scream or otherwise make a scene, so Rasika goes to Raghu directly and tells him that his Aaji is badly injured with the implication that this is done by Antara.
