Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Pihu's marriage on and off, Ram fine with this

Things are getting strange in the serial. But one feels that the serial will get more strange before there is some improvement. Right now, the scene was that the serial has come after 7 years. Ram has 3 daughters, with Pihu and then the twins who were born later. Priya is still in a coma after 7 years of the accident, although Pihu was fine after the accident. In addition, Juhi plays an essential role in the business and family, since Ram has to depend on her for a number of things (Ram goes to visit Priya every evening in the hospital and hence the help of Juhi is very much required). Ram's daughters even call her 'choti maa' because of the influence she has on the family. Further, Juhi's ex-husband Rajeev is now popping up in the scene, wanting custody of their daughter Naina, who also considers Ram like a father, and who he considers as his 4th daughter. And then there is Kush, who is also dedicated to Ram and the daughters (but there is no mention of what is happening to Ayesha, his mother - maybe they are saving her when they need some more villainous roles).
Things are getting more troublesome with Priya. Doctors have said that she needs to come out of her coma in this year, else things will get even more problematic. Further, Doctors have also said that she is starting to slip, with her organs failing and if this continues, she will not have more time available with her. Everybody is very worried, and Ram has decided to get Priya back to the house. And then, he gets to know that there is a family that is interested marrying their son with Pihu, and he feels that this will be good, as it will also provide a rich emotional experience that maybe would help Priya re-connect with the world and come out of coma. Pihu on the other hand also thinks that her father needs to move on with life, get over Priya, and marry Juhi, since that seems like the best option - and for that, she needs to get married. So she meets the guy Mandeep and decides that she will get married.
Preparations for the wedding are ongoing, with the other family however soon putting a spanner in the works. First they want a clarification on the marriage status of Ram and Juhi, since the daughters call her Choti Maa. Ram is mad, but Vikram makes him understand that other people will have the same question - and Rajeev turns out to be the business partner of the inlaws. But just when this blows over, the inlaws come over with more issues; they want to know why the marriage is not being held in a 5 star, why their relatives are being forced to stay in a guest house, what is the share of property that Pihu is getting from Ram and whether this can be defined now, and most of all, why they were given fake jewelery as gifts. Turns out that Natasha gave them fake jewellery since she wanted to test whether they will try and get these jewellery items tested, and they did. Finally Ram says that these do not seem like the right set of inlaws for Pihu and he cancels the marriage. But before he can explain to Pihu, the would-be-guy Mandeep comes in and apologizes on behalf of his parents and says that he was interested in the marriage and when Ram asks Pihu, she also says that she is fine with going ahead with the marriage.
However, somebody else speaks to Mandeep and he then tells Ram that he cannot get married to Pihu, since he was spoken to somebody else who says that he spent a lot of time with Pihu, but she is not the type of person who can get committed to somebody. At this, Ram gets angry at Mandeep and asks him to leave and tells everybody that the marriage is off. In the meantime, with Rajeev wanting the custody of Naina, Ram finally thinks of a solution whereby he could marry Juhi and this legally adopt Naina.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Priya still in a coma, starting to sink

This was a development that few people would have projected. And yet, there is an unsettling feeling about the way that the serial has taken such a serious topic and let it die down (hopefully it will get raised again as and when Priya comes out of her coma). 7 years back, Pihu had landed up in serious trouble when she fell in a rebellious love with Varun (who was the son of Shruti and the old enemy Ashwin). Varun was of course looking for revenge on Priya, and Pihu was the perfect way to take such revenge. What he neglected to remember in all his arrogance was that she was only 15 years old and underage, and the (rich and powerful) parents of such an underage girl would be very difficult to handle and could make life hell. And then when it came to the crunch, even Pihu chose to save herself and handed over Varun to go to hell. When it came to a situation where both of them were together in a room at the prom party, obviously upto no good and Priya caught them, things would get very problematic. Pihu prompty cried rape and the poor guy landed up in jail; with the powerful parents ensuring that the police did not listen to anyone and Varun also got beaten up. This caused huge problems to his family as well (his own life was ruined).
False allegations of rape can be a huge problem. Even though Varun was upto no good, he had not really done anything wrong so far and yet was now in a critical problem. The serial should have done some focusing on this area, instead they took it even further by showing that Varun was so overcome by the problems that happened to his parents and brother that he committed suicide. On the other side, Priya finally realized that there was something fishy and managed to get the truth out of Pihu; also realizing that her own attitude had also caused problems to Pihu. She meant to take Pihu to the police station but learnt that Varun had committed suicide, and then a car accident happened where she went into a coma because of her injuries and has been in the same state for 7 years now.
Cut to the current scene. The serial has not shown whether Pihu owned up to whatever happened 7 years back, but the family is still running smoothly. Ram has done both roles of mom and dad, and is also assisted a lot by the Neha and Vikram, and by Juhi, who was an old friend of Priya and had just met her a few days back 7 years ago. She has taken so much charge of their lives that the children call her choti mom (younger mother now). In fact, the children have started to feel that everybody should accept that Priya is not going to come out of the coma and that Ram should get remarried to Juhi so that things get more settled for him. Ram of course is shocked at this and says that nothing like this is going to happen.
The situation on the front of Priya is starting to get worse with doctors saying that if Priya does not come out of coma this year, she may never come out of the coma, and further still, her organs are now starting to sink and she is getting into trouble. Ram is horrified at this news, and although he has been visiting her at the hospital every day for 7 years, he decides to make a change and bring her home so that she can come to comfortable surroundings and maybe now come out of the coma.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Another leap, but some tragic scenes before that

The serial goes serious from time to time, but it has never got as serious as is happening now. The question of misuse of the strong anti-rape and anti-harassment laws do come up from time to time in the papers and in court cases; the serial took a case like that but has not really taken the question through the whole discussion. In addition, for some time now, it was clear that the serial will go through 2 time-leaps, with the first leap happening for a period of 9 years and with the serial staying in that period for a time of around a month or so, and then moving for another time leap for a period of 7 years.
During the prom night, when Pihu had agreed to the question by Varun of changing the prom dress and being intimate in the room, that was the night where Priya had caught them before something could happen. And since Pihu was scared of what would happen to her, she screamed that Varun was trying to rape her; and this made Priya ballistic. She anyhow believed very strongly in her daughter and had fought with others who tried to tell her that Pihu was making a fool of her. Priya in turn called Ram, who was equally angry and got the police to come and arrest Varun. Varun in the meantime was denying that he was forcing anything, that Pihu was agreeable to whatever he said. But given that Ram was a powerful businessman and was very angry, no one was willing to listen to anything that Varun or even his family was willing to say.
However, Ram was persuaded by Neha and Saumya to come to Neha's house and listen to a few of Varun's friends who told him that things were not what he was made to believe. That there were so many phone conversations and messages between Varun and Pihu and that everything was with the consent of both of them. Ram came back to his house disturbed and wanted to have a clear conversation with Pihu about this; he did push back once or twice at Priya when she tried to butt in, but in the end, there was also the impending trip to London for a business deal that had to happen and he had to leave. In the meantime, a lot of further bad things were happening with Varun and his family, since his brother and sister were forced out from their schools, and they had to face a lot of bad name. They came in and scolded Varun a lot about what he wanted to do, and left him very disturbed.
In the end, Priya wanted to lighten the mood of Pihu and so took her phone to try and call her friend Geetika, but found that she was reaching the number of Varun; his brother took the phone and pleaded with Priya to help. Normally Priya would have done something, but since she could see that Pihu had the number as Geetika but it was actually Varun, she decided to confront Pihu. Finally Pihu admitted to all this, and Priya was aghast at what had happened since it meant that Pihu, in trying to save herself, had also sent an innocent boy to jail. Pihu did strike back to some degree, saying that it was continuous pressure from Priya and Ram which finally caused her to break free; Priya wanted to tell Ram everything but was not able to reach him. She called the police station and told them not to take any further action on Varun, but he had committed suicide because of the enormity of what all had happened. When driving further to the police station, they had an accident because of which Pihu did not suffer much but Priya went into a coma which has now continued for 7 years. There is the marriage of Neha and Vikram's daughter Riddhima happening for which there are a lot of festivities.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Varun in deep trouble

Suddenly they are showing the character of Pihu in a totally new light, very negative. Maybe it is the fact that her mother has always been like a dominant character rather than a true friend, but whatever be the reason, the serial has suddenly made Pihu out like a total villain. Even though she is just 15 years old, apparently the instinct of self-preservation has made sure that Pihu will lie and do whatever else is required to ensure that she does not get into trouble. At the same time, some of the circumstances shown in the serial are not logical. If Pihu is so much in love with Varun, it does not make sense that she would turn around and suddenly pin a rape charge on Varun, especially because it has such a significant impact. For a young man to be charged with the rape of a minor, especially when the father of the minor is a rich and powerful businessman is equivalent to the end of all his dreams and ambitions.
At the same time, the young man was in his own air, feeling that he would be the one to take revenge for the slaps and humiliation he got. So, Varun, after being humiliated by Priya and by her mother, and then being slapped by his own mother because she was called to the principal's office because of him; he was angry and wanted revenge. Who better to be the instrument for taking revenge but the young and impressionable Pihu. So, first he gets Pihu to deny the allegation that Neha was making against her, and because of this Priya and Neha had a fight. And then he wanted to get Pihu in such a position, by getting her to be intimate with him and with his friends witnessing that, which would cause a lot of humiliation for Pihu and her mother. However, he forgot that Pihu is a 15 year old, and so even if she gave her consent to such intimacy, it did not mean anything and Ram and Priya could make his life miserable. However, this plan was failed just in the nick of time. He sent Pihu to a room at the prom for changing, she went inside without locking the door for changing (ridiculous) and then he stepped in and asked his friends to come in after around 10 minutes so that they could see whatever happened.
It was his ultimate back luck that Priya saw that Pihu had left her phone in the car and went back to the party to give the phone, and she discovered both Pihu and Varun in the room, in the dark. She went ballistic, and seeing this, Pihu did something strange, given that she apparently loved Varun so much that she was willing to be intimate with him; she told her mother that Varun had followed her (she had come up to change her dress because there was a stain on it) and then tried to force herself on her. On hearing this, Priya grew furious, and started scolding and beating Varun and also called Ram, who finally called the police. Varun kept on protesting that Pihu was equally involved in all this, but nobody listened to him and he was taken to the police station. Pihu refused to have a medical test done, which is a standard test in the case of assault. However, Neha was suspicious about all this, and later Saumya also noticed that there was no stain on Pihu's dress. But for now Priya is not willing to listen to anything.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Priya going to face problems because of Pihu

Somehow, the concept of a Hindi serial is that if something has to go wrong, it will go wrong to the family in the serial. Watching Bade Acche Lagte Hain for the time being reminds me of another serial on Sony, Parvarish. It takes a look at the growing up of children and the problems they and their parents go through, and is that Bade Acche Lagte Hain has now started on the line of. I hope that they end this drama about the growing up pangs of Pihu quickly, since the serial has again started becoming boring (and I think that this is a specialty of Ekta's serials after a time-leap; the serial tries to use the viewership it has gained over the past and use this while it takes up the boring story line soon after the time leap). In the current concept, the serial is primarily focusing on the life of Pihu. She is no longer the cute young girl who you saw as a 5 year old, but is now a teenager in the midst of all her angst and tensions about growing up, about trying to ensure that boys are interested in her (so that she does not feel like an outsider and so on).
Pihu meets Varun in college, and Varun is a big shot in terms of his claims to be from a rich family, he is good in sports and others, and does not care too much about Pihu, while she wants to be friends with him. However, it finally turns out that he insults her, and she is very hurt and leaves from there. And that is where Ram gets Akshay Kumar (the film star) to take her to a party in the college for the promo of Once Upon a time in Mumbai Dobara. Akshay goes there, already knows about Varun, calls him and gives him a hearing out. However, the next day Varun further insults Pihu and drives her to tears. She goes home, with a protective Priya getting the truth out from her, they to the college and meet the principal, and Varun's parents get called. And of course, you know that these have to be people who Priya already knows - Ashwin and Shruti. The principal tells them to warn Varun else his scholarship and his admission in the college will be in danger. Of course, Ashwin is very angry at this attack from Priya and then Varun overhears a discussion between his parents which shows him a plan of action to get back at Priya through Pihu.
He tells Pihu that all this is because of an earlier relationship between Priya and Ashwin, and when Pihu asks Priya about this, she talks to Ram and they do finally decide that there is no point of telling Pihu about all this, and so Priya tells something else to Pihu. However, Shruti was also angry about Priya taunting her, and when she sees Pihu calling Varun, she tells Priya that it is Pihu who is chasing Varun and not the other way. They go to a restaurant where Pihu is to come, and there Pihu overhears the discussion between Priya and Shruti over Ashwin, and Pihu thinks that her mother has lied to her. As a result, she is now easily swayed by Varun (forgetting everything that he has done to her) and goes with him; Varun is happy that he has discovered a path to get revenge on Priya; and of course, as you would expect, Ram does not know anything about all this. However, Neha sees Pihu with Varun.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Finally Ram and Piya along with Pihu are safe and sound

The serial has been taking the viewers through a tough time. There was a split between everyone in the family over a variety of reasons. First the division between Karthik and Natasha was sudden and very hard. Karthik admitted that he had married Jhaanvi on the side, and that the baby that was born was his. This caused a huge shock to everyone in the family, also because he immediately went away to Singapore after that. This caused huge tension to everyone, and Natasha was furious - she wanted Karthik to come back so that he could be arrested and punished for everything that he had done to her. She was even willing to have her inlaws jailed in order to force Karthik to come back.
However, Priya was also wanting Karthik to come back and take over his responsibilities, which meant that he owned up to whatever was happening, and also accepted whatever punishment was due to him for what had happened. He finally came back, and the plan for Ram and Natasha was to get him arrested, and they had got the police involved in the plan to arrest him. Ayesha was also involved in all this, and wanted to as usual cause problems in the family, and posed as the best of friends to Natasha to provoke her to rebel and turn against Ram and Priya. When Karthik showed up, he was pursued by the police who also shot him when he was moving away from there. Natasha was shocked up by this, and ended up blaming Priya for everything that had happened, and even Rishabh turned against Ram because of all this.
There was an increased amount of tension between Ram and Priya as well, with Pihu also giving up because of all this fighting and tension, and hence Vikram and Neha tried to send them on a holiday to Singapore so that they could resolve their differences. And this was the medium that the serial showed to get them to resolve their differences. The plane in which they were travelling had an accident, and there was shock everywhere about the whereabouts of Ram, Priya and Pihu. This also caused Rishabh and Nuts to think about their attitude of the past few weeks, and caused them to change back into their normal loving relationship.
Finally the serial showed all of them safe and sound, and getting ready to go back. Ayesha tried some more spin, claiming in front of the family that since this accident was very hard, the family should be prepared for the consequences of their death, and start talking about how to divide the family property. This was something that was a mistake, since even in stupid serials, they do not show characters behaving so stupidly, and here this was a way to show the reform of Nuts, since she went up to Ayesha and slapped her hard for her various attempts to be an enemy of the family. Finally when they are back, there is a new tide of happiness, with the doctor saying that there are actually twins.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade acche Lagte Hain - An accident in which Ram and Priya are impacted

The serial is waiting to unveil a 20 year timeleap again, and the way it goes on right now, it would seem that the situation before the leap would show Ram and Piya separated and separated for a long period of time. For the past few episodes, the serial has been showing a situation where there is growing tension between Ram and Priya. Ram is running into a lot of tension due to the situation with his family, whereby Nuts does not believe in him anymore and believes that Priya was the one who caused all this problem. Further, his own brother Rishabh has now started treating him like a step-brother and wants to lead a separate life, with his own responsibilities and his own life and also keeping Ram at a distance. Ram also starts taunting Priya that she will always assume the mantle of being right and giving him a lecture all the time on what is right and what is wrong. Further, Priya and Somya try to show Rishab the truth and hence Somya is playing a drama, but things become clear to everybody, which makes Rishabh very angry with Soumya and Ram very angry with Priya (and all these items are not supposed to do anything to lower her tension, apparently very necessary in the current state of her pregnancy). Things are going from bad to worse and even Neha and Vikram are unable to really make things better. So they setup a plan where they get both Ram and Priya (along with Pihu) on the same flight, the flight to Singapore where hopefully they will forget about their differences and reconcile to each other.
So, Natasha wants a divorce from Karthik. Even though she believes that she still loves him a lot, she was very hurt over the situation when Karthik was recovering from his coma and coming out of the coma, and seemed to respond to touching from Jhanvi rather than Natasha, which hurt her terribly. Since she now realizes that maybe Karthik is actually more interested in Jhanvi than her, and hence she decides to go for a separation and divorce from Karthik although he pleads with her not to do this.
So, Neha and Vikram setup a plan whereby Neha tries a ladies holiday to Singapore (apparently she is fit enough to travel on a plane even though in pregnancy, many doctors do not easily agree to let their patients travel for long distances) while Vikram talks about a necessary meeting in Singapore, and both of them get them on the plane (and switch off their mobile phones so that Ram and Priya cannot call them and complain about what they have done). However, the ice between the two has not yet melted, and then everybody in India gets to know that the plane has crashed. And they show both Ram and Priya in wounded positions in the aftermath of the plane crash, lying on the ground, with plane debris and other people lying around them. Will they be now separated for 20 years ? Given that it is a Balaji serial, this is very much possible.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Karthik shot, badly wounded and in hospital

Things went pretty strange in the serial. The whole quest to bring back Karthik and get him jailed was the basic attempt of Natasha, and she was using the threat of keeping her inlaws in jail until this was achieved. So, here you have Ram, agreeing to let his inlaws be in jail till Karthik comes back; something incredibly unfair and everybody in his family seems to be agreeable to that. Till the time that Karthik comes back, his parents can be jail for something that they did not do, and everybody seems to be fine with that, with only Priya concerned with that; this was an incredible thing to show. Even Ayesha is not at all concerned that her parents in jail; in fact, she was the one who proposed this plan and guided Natasha through all this, and again, only Priya seemed to be concerned by this point. Everybody else did not seem to care that Natasha was taking the help of Ayesha, who was the enemy of everybody and who would not be in the slightest bit caring for what Natasha wanted.
Anyhow, there was a lot of drama in the serial, with the maximum amount of drama being between Ram and Priya; with Ram hiding the fact that he was working on what Natasha wanted, to send the police to arrest Karthik and take him to jail. One confusing point was that nobody mentioned what was the ground of arrest - as far as I know, bigamy was the only point on which the arrest could happen and there was no complaint yet filed; even after filing a case, no mention that a case had been filed. There was no threat by Karthik, so there could not possibly have been a case against Kathik in terms of the domestic violence law.
Anyhow, everybody reached there, with Karthik being provoked by Ayesha to run from there and not believe what Priya was telling him; Priya in turn was literally hounding Karthik with long speeches and huge emotional drama until he finally felt compelled to turn himself into the police (and maybe so that her speeches would end). When he was getting into Ayesha's car and leaving her there, the police fired on him. Not sure whether it was a criminal case, but police typically would not be allowed to fire on somebody until they felt that he was escaping in a very serious case or he was trying to fire on them, so did not understand this part at all.
Anyhow, Karthik takes Priya to the hospital and then lies down on the floor with a bullet in his shoulder. A bullet injury can be very painful, but a shoulder injury would typically not be life threatening unless there is a huge loss of blood, and that is what is seeming to happen since he is lying on the floor (and that too the floor of a hospital) and everybody is just standing around staring. And staring, and Ram even leaves from there and nobody calls a doctor or some other medical help. Finally Priya gets up from her bed, goes there, determines that he is alive and then gets a doctor and other staff to take him for treatment. In terms of how things happened, this was probably the most stupid and illogical episode of this serial that I have seen till now.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Natasha goes ballistic, files case on her inlaws

The serial has suddenly moved into very serious territory. The introduction of laws governing atrocities against women such as 498A and others which take these crimes very seriously have led to a situation where there is some misuse of these laws. This has been shown in some TV serials and have also come out in court cases where even though they are useful, they can also be misused. A recent serial which showed the misuse of such laws, leading to the jailing of inlaws until the charge was withdrawn was in the serial, 'Sapne Suhane Ladapan Ke'. The same thing is happening in the serial 'Bade Ache Lagte Hain' where Natasha is furious about what has happened to her, and is using these laws to take her revenge.
Natasha and the rest of the family got to know what Karthik was upto and learnt that he had a second marriage with Jhanvi, and he also had a child from that relationship. Once Jhanvi got to know about this earlier marriage and about the relationship that Natasha and Karthik had, she left Karthik and also left the baby in the house. At this, Kathik owned up to the baby and to the relationship, and had to face the fury of his family and Ram because of that. He left soon after for Singapore, and his mom could not bear to see the baby going out of the house, especially since Natasha could not have a baby.
So, when Nuts found out about Karthik, she was very angry. She was roaming around the town and finally decided to jump into water for committing suicide. However, she next found herself in bed, and who was looking upto her but Ayesha. Although they spoke bitterly a bit, it was clear that the bitterness in Natasha about what had happened to her got through, and since Ayesha was speaking to her in the language of taking revenge, she listened to what Ayesha was saying.
So, as a result, Natasha goes to Ram and Priya and says that she wants to go back to her married home, and although both of them are a bit surprised about what she is saying, they take her back to Karthik's house. When she gets there, she sees the baby there and soon turns bitter, telling her inlaws that she would come back, but there was one condition. The baby needs to be sent out of the house, and she is very insistent on this. She tells them that the baby will be well taken care of, but the baby cannot remain in the house. They are aghast, and when she takes the baby and tries to go out of the house, there is some pushing and shoving and she falls down. And this is what she wanted.
Next, the police are in the house since she has filed a domestic violence complaint, and they take away her inlaws. When Ram and Priya try to intervene, she tells them that she will withdraw the case if the baby goes out of the house; and Ayesha is telling her that this is the way to ensure that Karthik comes back to the city where she can take her full revenge on him. Priya is stumped, since her mother refuses to let the baby go to an orphanage, she will only hand over the baby to Karthik once he comes back. Finally Priya takes the baby and takes to Neha and Vikram's house.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - The truth about Karthik unveiled, more tension

Any serial works by showing a series of events that cause tension, these are stretched for several episodes, and when they are resolved, another series of events happen that cause tension, and so on. So, after the truth about the marriage between Natasha and Sid was proven in court and the property was handed back to Ram, there was bound to be some other event which would cause tension. This even in the current set is because they show Karthik, who was otherwise passionate about Natasha, having a second marriage that nobody knows about, and this second marriage has even resulted in a baby. The important event is that everybody will get to know about this, since this is a serial, and the coincidence is that the mother of the child is Jhanvi, who helped Ram and Priya in their court case by acting as a witness to their marriage.
Karthik has come back from Singapore, and since Ayesha had seen him on the video chat which Jhanvi was having with him, she knew that she had got one more weapon on her side. Although Karthik was her own brother, she decided to blackmail Karthik over this knowledge about his having a second wife, and finally got him to pay up money for the same.
But this was not enough. She wanted revenge for what had happened to her, and since Jhanvi was the main witness in the case because of which all her property was taken away from her, she wanted to teach a revenge to Jhanvi. So when a party is happening in the house to celebrate the return of Karthik, she called up Jhanvi and told her that as a well-wisher, Karthik was not well. Jhanvi came to the house and saw what was happening and also saw the exchange of emotions between Karthik and Natasha, and realized that there was no part for her in this. She finally left from there without telling anyone, but left her baby there.
Ram called up the police to tell them about this, and although Priya wanted to take care of the baby rather than the baby going to an orphanage, the police told her that the law does not allow them to let the baby remain in the house and they would need to take the baby. At this Karthik finally breaks his restraints and tells everybody the truth about him being the father of the baby, about his marriage with Jhanvi and how he cannot let the baby be taken away.
Everybody is shocked, and then Ayesha appears on the scene to confirm everything and is gloating about what has happened, how she has taken her revenge, and so on. Finally Priya takes matters into her own hand, and slaps Karthik soundly. However, this will not be the end, since Ram has a temper when it comes to his sister, and even previously he has spoken a lot when something happened, and in the promo, he will again talk harshly, and will even point out that the marriage of Ram and Priya happened because of the need for the marriage of Natasha and Karthik. This might be enough for Priya to claim that everytime he claims that the marriage happened out of necessity and it does not have any standing of its own.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Priya wants to leave Ram, he gets shocked

The reaction on his face was so funny. He knows that here is some problem with Priya, especially when she does not pick up his calls when he was not able to pick her call. Priya is getting more and more angry at Ram because she believes that he is getting more and more interested in Isha (after all, she was his college crush and he seems to be showing her a lot of attention even now). But, Ram is oblivious to most of this, and in fact, one reason why he is apparently getting closer to Isha is because he plans to have a complete medical test, and does not want to tell Priya since he does not her want to get upset or worried about whatever be the result, and Isha is there when the Doctor came to meet him.
Priya is showing a thorough jealous face, and there are a number of factors that are causing an increase in this jealous nature. She hears Ram talking to Vikram late at night, where he apparently says that maybe the baby coming at this stage of life is a mistake, and for her, this statement is a huge problem. She cannot understand as to why he thinks something like that. Further, she is not able to get in touch with Ram, while when Pihu calls up the office, the phone is picked up by Isha, who tells Pihu that her dad is busy. Pihu tells this to Priya, which makes her even more angry, and compounds everything else, since she starts believing that Mr. Kapoor is doing something strange behind her back.
So, she has packed all her bags, and when Ram comes back from the office, he does not immediately notice the packed suitcase and then when he notices it, he is shocked. First he thinks that they had to go somewhere and he forgot about it, but she soon tells him that she is going back to her parents house, and now he can do whatever he wants. She also tells him that she heard about him calling the baby a mistake, and that it was something dreadful to call the baby. He tries to explain to her, but she, as usual, does not listen to what he says and keeps on telling him about everything he does, and so on. Finally she tells him that maybe he felt the marriage itself is a mistake, and that is when he explodes and tells her to stop speaking, that she has no idea of what she is saying. Finally she shuts up.
And then when Pihu comes there, she accuses both of them of trying to leave each other, of arguing with each other, and so on. Finally Pihu locks the door from outside and says she will not open the door until they have resolved the argument, and then their mother also comes there and agrees with Pihu.
On the other hand, Karthik runs into Jhanvi in his own house, and goes to her; she refuses to listen to what he has to say, and she asks him to leave the house and not have any contact with her or their baby from now on.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Ram manages to win court case, get back property, but not Kush

The serial has suddenly reached a point where the story of Ayesha seems to have been done for now. Ever since Ram had handed over his share of the property to Ayesha when he wanted to end the relationship, she had taken on a high air. She took over control of the property, took over control of the house and the business and then decided what would happen in the house. And she became very arrogant. Even though Ram told her many times that he had just handed over his part of the property and that the rest of the family continued to hold their share, she refused to listen and assumed that she had full control of the house. She refused to let family members enter the business, and after a confrontation when there were some business visitors in the house, she got angry and kicked everybody out of the house. This made Ram very angry since she kicked them all out, including the elders, in the middle of the night without worrying over where they would go.
At the same time, Ram was having problems of his own. He had setup a business in Jaipur, but after rain ruined his end delivery, he was back to square one and then decided to come back to Mumbai after Vikram pushed him to do the same. He and Priya took jobs, but this was not the same thing. Eventually, there was a desire to ensure that Ayesha does not continue to be so arrogant, and that it was time to get everything back from her. He had even scared Ayesha once by telling her that since he had given her everything easily, he could take it back. Even though Ayesha knew that was not so easy, she did get scared. Sid on the other hand kept on helping her, while double-crossing her with other girls at the same time.
Finally, the serial pushed the part in the contract which revealed that if Ayesha decided to get married again, the property would revert back to Ram. So, the aim was to push both Sid and Ayesha for the wedding, pushing the reason that this would help Sid in his quest to show himself as a respectable family man by being married and having a kid. However, after a lot of drama, Ayesha called off the marriage at the last minute by telling everyone that she knew what was going on, and that she knew about the details in the contract as well, and it seemed like Ayesha had out-smarted everyone.
And then a miracle. Sid wanted to turn a new leaf, and called Ram to the jail. There he told Ram that Sid and Ayesha were already married, at a temple when they were drunk, and this was registered in the temple records and there was a witness. This would be good enough to get back the property. So, now the quest is to find the temple records and the witness. There are some obstacles, since they don't know the exact date, and the witness address is not clear. However, they finally manage to find the records and also the witness, who is a pregnant lady with 7th month of pregnancy. She agrees to be a witness although the temple priest turns when Ayesha offers him money.
When they are heading to court, the lady goes into labour and Priya and Neha rush her to hospital. In the meantime, the court gives them 1 hour to find a witness and more proof, and then Priya comes in. She has got a phone with photos and also the recorded testimony of the witness. And the ground falls below Ayesha's feet since the court threatens the temple priest. He turns and tells the truth and then declares that the marriage did happen and everything is now back in Ram's name. However, Ayesha wants to take Kush away, which does shock Ram and the others.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hai - Ayesha catches Sid with a girl at a party, tells him she is breaking up ..

The serial seems like a movie right now, where Ram and Priya are depending on the marriage of Sid and Ayesha to take place, since that will cause the house and the rest of Ram's fortune to come back to Ram. So they are trying a set of cunning tactics to ensure that both of them move towards the marriage while not feeling that they are under pressure to get this marriage done. At the same time, Sid is very suspicious about why there is a change in Ram's attitude towards him, and cannot understand. He wants to know more about why things are moving in the way they are.
So, Ram decides to show Sid something which will try and handle some of this suspicion, yet not learning the truth at all. As a part of that, he acts a bit suspiciously in the office, discussing seriously when Sid is not there in the office, and seemingly hiding a file. Vikram also plays an active part in this process, conspiring along with Ram. Finally, Sid does manage to get hold of the file, only to see something which Ram was intending to show him. This says that the property would be turned over only to Ayesha and not Sid. Sid is very angry at this one, since he cannot understand why the property does not come over to him, and Ram explains to him that this contract was done before Sid was there in the scene, only to ensure that the property does not go away from Ayesha. This settles Sid for a little while, but he remains very suspicious.
The family is also trying the police of divide and rule, seeing that Mamaji also provides a lot of advice to both Sid and Ayesha, and hence it was necessary to remove the very close relationship. So, since they are seeing that Ayesha is a bit stingy with spending money on anybody else, they work on 2 aspects related to Mamaji. First, the Rs. 10 lakh bill run up by Mamaji on his clothing is thrown towards Ayesha, making her feel the pain of paying this bill, and she even raises the same issue with Sid, who dismisses it angrily. Further, Priya talks to Mamaji in a way that both Sid and Ayesha get suspicious about what is happening, with the concept of whether the money that is deposited in Mamaji's account is because Mamaji is playing a double role. Mamaji is very angry at all this, and goes to Ayesha to return her the Rs. 10 lakh.
Now, they decide to give a party to Sid, a bachelor party and hook him up with a girl at the party. This will be recorded to give them more things to hold over sid, but then Ayesha turns up over their and is very angry at Sid about what he is doing behind her back. Ram and Priya try to handle the situation, but Ayesha is very angry.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Trying to get Ayesha and Sid to marry

The serial has suddenly gone into a very strange mode. For some time now, the serial has shown both Ram and Priya in a mode where they are together and very happy over that part, but otherwise their life was going through strange times. They had lost all their property (or rather it was donated by Ram to Ayesha so that she would walk away from the marriage and leave him free to be back together with Priya). But this also meant that they were no longer rich, could not afford stuff such as spending to send Pihu to a good school, and so on. Further, since they had such a pride, it was difficult for them to accept help from even their closest friends (which was very odd for me, since if I was in such a state, or a friend was in such a state, I would expect that very close friends would be the ones who would help).
And things got even bad after that, since they were now working for a company where their boss was an old enemy Ashwin, who left no chance to get back at them. However, this was soon overcome, since Ashwin did the unexpected step of taking a report that Ram had created and presenting it as his own. Priya has anyhow been shown to be outspoken, so she went in front of a number of investors and pointed out that Ashwin had used Ram's proposal, and this left the investors the knowledge that The Ram Kapoor was in their company. They immediately elevated him to a position where he was the senior of Ashwin, but Ram did not take any revenge back, and rejected his resignation.
On the personal side, Saumya and Natasha had figured out that Ayesha was pregnant even though she tried to throw them off, and soon combined this with the fact that Ayesha was apparently seeing somebody in a nearby chawl. Ram and Priya reached there and found that it was Sid (who was on the run from the police for 5 years). They turned him into the police, but Sid managed to run away from their office. However, Mamaji and he over-played their hand in trying to be clever and decided to seek help from Pihu (also with the thought that the police would not be looking for Sid over there). But, this was seen by Priya, and eventually Ram landed there soon after Pihu; but this time, instead of letting Sid run away, Ram decided to appear in a new leaf and be all brotherly, by telling sid that he would turn him to the police and then get him out on bail. In doing so, Ram wanted to get the trust of Sid and Ayesha, and also wanted to start manipulating events the way he wanted rather than wait for Sid and Ayesha to do as they liked.
So the plan is to ensure that Sid and Ayesha get married, since in a clause in the contract, Ayesha's rights over the property would revert back to Ram if she did get married, even if this was to Sid. But the idea was to get them to do this (and one way was to show to Sid that legal advice for resolving the case would be to show him as a settled family man, and for that, he would need to be married). Sid is not very comfortable with the idea of getting married, which irritates Ayesha.
Also, the serial is showing more happiness in the marriage of Ram and Priya, since she is shown as pregnant, with Ram being the protective husband and even their family trying to ensure that Priya does not exert herself too much.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Sid found, Ram and Priya do conspiracy to defeat Sid and Ayesha

The serial seems to believe that it should not show too much despair, or too much pain. So, for example, you had the situation where both Ram and Priya were looking for a job, they had no money, and Ram's family was also kicked out of the house by Ayesha after she got angry at them for muddling up a business deal where she had to show that apparently they were a nice happy family. This seemed like the bottom, and then both of them found a job, and then they showed that the manager of the place was Ashwin, who was humiliated by Ram earlier for the actions he took. Now that Ashwin is in charge, he took a lot of pleasure in tormenting Ram, calling him to work on Sunday (when Ram was supposed to be off on a family trip) and then not showing up. And crucially, he asked Ram for a report which he rejected.
So, when Ashwin was upto this kind of stuff, there was a meeting setup for the investors in the company, the ones who were in charge. For further humiliation, Ashwin had setup Priya to be the usher in charge, and when it was clear that Ashwin would be using the report prepared by Ram and was taking credit for the work that got a lot of praise, Priya could not stand it anymore. Since she was anyhow close to the mike, she stepped up by saying that she wanted to praise Ashwin, and then made the startling declaration that this was an idea stolen by Ashwin, instead of giving the credit to Ram (even when he was specifically asked).
The investors had already heard of Ram, and then they decided to give him a job that was at a level higher than Ashwin. Ashwin was shocked at all this, and submitted his resignation, which Ram rejected since he wanted Ashwin to work on this.
On the other side, Ayesha had got pregnant, and this was seen by Saumya, who went and told this to Natasha. However, in the hospital, Ayesha managed to get this reversed by claiming that the abortion was being done for a friend, not for her. They did not believe this, and followed this lead, with Priya then seeing Sid at the hospital. After this, both Ram and Priya followed the story by trying to trace the person whom Ayesha was seeing. They finally confronted Sid and then got him arrested. However, Sid managed to escape from the police.
But, in a plan, Sid wanted to stay near Ram so that the police was not looking for them, and get Pihu to help him. This was seen by Ram and Priya, and they managed to turn this around so that Sid was then arrested by the police, with them trying to manipulate things so that Sid would now believe that Ram was trying to help them in opposition to Priya. As a result, Sid would be manipulated to marry Ayesha, and under the contract, this would ensure that the property would be released from Ayesha and would revert back to Ram. This would be a just punishment to Sid and Ayesha.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Coming back into the serial of Ashwin, more trouble for Ram

Now finally the trends are emerging that this is a Ekta Kapoor serial. Typical signs are short periods of happiness followed by long periods of trouble and time leaps for no major reason. There are already news that the serial Bade Achhe Lagte Hain will go through a time leap, that too of 20 years, and the serial is showing more trouble in the life of all concerned.
First, the business that Ram had started in Jaipur all collapsed in the space of a few hours, when rain destroyed all his production which was kept in the open, and they lost everything that they had. It took some effort on the part of Priya to ensure that Ram did not become totally depressed at whatever had happened; and it took some more effort on the past of Vikram and Neha to ensure that they managed to get Ram and Priya back to Mumbai with an attempt to get them back to a normal life.
For more trouble, Ayesha took on a total dictatorial nature, and after the collapse of a business deal that she blamed on Soumya and the elders in the house, she kicked everybody out of the house. After some period of trouble, they finally went and stayed in Natasha's house, even though it was essentially the house of their inlaws of their daughter, something that was not easy for them to accept.
So the way that the serial is now behaving is: If they show any signs of happiness or that they are entering a positive part of life, the makers of the serial ensure that this period of happiness is not going to last and some new trouble will be on them.
When Ram and Priya came back to Mumbai, they finally met up with their family and got to learn that Ayesha had kicked them all out of the house; Ram was furious. He went and spoke to Ayesha, told her that the house belonged to all of them, that it was not only Ayesha's house; and the most dangerous to Ayesha, he told her that even though he had given all of his property to Ayesha, he could take it all back; and that if Ayesha went on this track, she would regret everything that she had done. Ayesha was totally scared at this, after all, she had already burned her bridges with everybody, and spoke to Sid who told her to make sure that she showed some care for Ram's family and also to her son. So Ayesha started showing more concern for her son.
However, when Ram and Priya were looking for a job, both of them finally landed up at the same place and to their happiness, got a job in the same place. But when they finally landed there, their happiness was short-lived. The boss of the place was Ashwin, who was once in love with Priya, and whom both Ram and Priya had kicked out. It is now his turn to cause a huge amount of trouble to both of them, something that he has already started doing.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Ache Lagte Hain - Ram loses everything due to weather

Trust a hindi serial to keep on showing pain and adversity. In the space of 2 episodes, the serial has showed everybody in the family suffering, including even Ayesha, who got everything as a present from Ram.
The family business was running into some problems, and Mamaji was trying to identify some investors for the company, and came across a foreign couple in a restaurant who were looking to identify a family run business where the owners of the family had traditional Indian family values. Now, even though Ayesha did not have any such values, the chance to get such support from rich investors is something that everybody would like, and they get invited to dinner at home. This was something very surprising to the family members, since Ayesha had not shown any such regard, but they sit when Ayesha asks them to sit. However, Saumya is getting very irritated at the nonsense that Ayesha is speaking and finally speaks up, talking to Ayesha in a mixture of English and Hindi; this ensures that the foreign investors learn that things are not what they were thinking about, and the male guest also reveals that he knows a bit of Hindi and their conclusion is that this is not a family in which the elders are respected, and they walk out. Ayesha is very angry at this, and when she learns that the deal is not going to happen because of the fight at the dinner, she tells Saumya and the rest of the family that they need to leave. She gets the servants to pack up the stuff in the house belonging to everybody else and kick them out.
They are outside and not sure where to go, and in the meantime Natasha has phoned up the house and learnt about what has gone in the house (after speaking to a servant); so when they are trying to figure out where to go, Natasha turns up and then badly scolds Saumya about not getting in touch with her and takes them to her house over their objections. At the house, they are made welcome, and any objections they had are overcome, but they do not want to inform Ram about their problems since everybody tells them that Ram will drop everything and come here stopping his work.
On the other hand, Ram is running into some serious issues. He had got a good order, but where he was getting a tight deadline of 1 month to deliver, he was informed that the deadline was actually a week. He manages to convince his workers to do the work, by also promising them benefits from the deal, and is overall very enthused about the deal and what it means for the future. However, on the night before the delivery, the produced items were kept outside and it rained, which means the entire consignment got spoiled and he was ruined. He is very shocked, although Priya kept his hopes up. And then Vikram and Neha arrive there, ready to take him back to Bombay.

Hindi TV Serials - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - 6 months later, Ram and Priya are happy

Who would have thought that such a twist in the serial would be shown? That the Ram Kapoor, the man who was so powerful and running such a large business empire would suddenly change his entire world ? What they showed in the serial was not something that you could really believe. How can you have somebody who hands over his entire empire so as to get rid of his wife ? Ethically as well, when you are running a business, you are responsible for the jobs of your employees, you are responsible to your customers, and you are responsible towards the other shareholders. What they showed in the serial was behavior contrary to everything that you would learn as a part of a business.
What happened in the show was about Ram wanting to take a decision about ensuring that Ayesha leaves his life, but in a way that it would not seem that he was deserting her. So, when Ayesha is talking about how she loves Ram, Ram decides to tell her that he has decided that he will spend the rest of his life with her, but he will hand over the entire company and all his wealth to Piya and Pihu. Ayesha is very surprised at this and objects, saying that she does not agree to this; when she is the wife, why should Priya get everything.
So Ram turns around and says that he will reverse his stand, and asks Priya whether she will be him even if he gives everything he has to Ayesha; Priya agrees and Ayesha is very happy. As soon as this is over, both Ram and Priya leave the house and Ayesha starts taking over. She is now on an arrogant trip, and with more advice from Sid, she starts humiliating the other members of the house. Ram's brother is first told to move to a different room in the house, his card stops working in the office; when Ram gets to know about this, he tells him that Ram had just handed over his shares in the company to Ayesha, everybody else gets to keep their share (and they have forgotten that Ram had once handed over one of his better companies to priya; I wonder what happened to that decision).
So, now the scene shifts to 6 months after. After a few days of living with Neha and Vikram, Ram and Priya are now shown living in Jaipur, living a middle class life. They do not have that kind of money anymore, and Priya is very conscious about not wasting money and ensuring that money is saved. Ram is now running a small factory and they are all very happy. It is the birthday of Pihu, and everybody wants to come to Jaipur, but then Ayesha turns up and wants to have a birthday party for Kush so that nobody will go to Jaipur for the birthday party. She still remains envious of Priya and her life. Even her own mother has by now told her that she does not appreciate what all Ayesha is doing, that Ayesha has nobody to take care of her now, but Ayesha is too intoxicated by power to care about what anybody else is saying.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Ram takes Ayesha home from the hospital

Bade Acche Lagte Hain has reached a strange point. The relation between Ram and Priya was reaching up to the earlier levels, with Ram having already decided that he would leave Ayesha and move on with Piya. Both of them decided that this story would need to be told to Ayesha and was looking for the right opportunity to do the same. Ram had already tested Ayesha and she had finally told him that she did see him like a husband material; Priya had asked Ayesha the same later, and Ayesha had told Priya that she loved Ram a lot, but Priya doubted the story told by Ayesha. And then happened the event - Ayesha saw Ram and Priya together, was shocked, and ran away from there with both of them chasing after her. She had a car accident soon after and both of them were shocked at what had happened. Priya blamed herself for what happened, with Ram consoling her that it was not her fault, it was an accident.
But if you have watched enough serials or movies, you know what happens when there is an accident or a serious illness (particularly related to the heart); the doctor said that Ayesha needs a good environment, no shocks, and certainly not that her marriage to Ram would be over. So Ram took Ayesha home when everybody was expecting him to make the move on Priya at that time; everybody was shocked but Priya understood and Ram also confirmed that this happened because of medical reasons.
In the meantime, Ayesha was making all the right moves, showing concern for her son, showing concern and love for Ram. In fact, there was a party at the beginning of which there was a word association game, and while Ram associated love with Priya, Ayesha did the same with Ram. The others in the family were warning Priya that all this fake, that Ayesha was not genuine, that somehow or the other, this was all part of a plan - but Priya was as usual talking about giving Ayesha a chance.
And then Ram got in the act. He told Ayesha that he had decided that he would act on what Ayesha wanted, he would reserve himself totally and fully to her, but he would give away all his property to Priya and Pihu. Ayesha was shocked at this, and made her objections clear. Ram then reversed the game and said that he would give everything to Ayesha and go with Priya, and Priya was more than eager for this. So they walked happily out of the house, with Ram having handed over a folded scroll paper to Ayesha.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Ayesha in an accident, Priya blames herself

The serial is going through a lot of drama. Earlier, there was speculation that the actress playing Ayesha (Chahatt Khanna) wanted to withdraw from the serial since she felt that her character was becoming more and more negative. However, this story changed with the concept that it was now the impending marriage of Chahat that was forcing her to withdraw from the serial. So you knew what to expect - when a character needs to be changed, most of the time either the character has a plastic surgery or is killed off. There was some chance that it was going to be the death of Ayesha in the serial, but now with the news that there is a new actress who will play the role of Ayesha (Akansha Juneja), it is pretty clear that the character of Ayesha remains in the serial, and in fact, now that she has been near death, she will be able to play a much more powerful emotional blackmail role in the serial.
Ram and Priya had been getting closer to each other in the serial, and at the night of Vikram and Neha's marriage, they got intimate again (where Priya had by mistake taken a drug in her drink and Ram was very emotional over the fact that Priya was again going to be going from his life and returning back to Dubai. This was a very strong indicator that the serial was intending for them to get together again with each other; and Ram had already got rid of his guilt complex by pretending to feign an intimate scene with Ayesha, and she rejected him (they later showed that she was still meeting Sid and in love with him).
However, Priya was still very much in guilt since she now considered that her sister was married to Ram, and it would not be proper on her part to still have a relation with Ram. However, she finally overcame this when she questioned Ayesha, and although Ayesha did try to confirm that she was in love with Ram and that it was Priya who was threatening the relationship, Priya was convinced that Ayesha was not in love with Ram and hence decided that she could finally disregard what Ayesha was saying. However, at that moment, Ayesha walked in and saw them embracing, and started running away from there in distress. They chased after her, but she met with an accident. This set off a massive guilt complex in Priya, since she believed that she was responsible for the current condition of her sister, even though Ram was repeating to her that this was just an accident.
