Hindi TV Serial - Qubool Hain - Marriage of Asad and Zoya not happening for now, Tanveer ..qub

The marriage date for Zoya and Asad was finally reached, and everybody is anxiously waiting for the final moments. The Qazi is there, and everybody is waiting for Asad to reach back to the home, with Zoya already fully ready. However, Tanveer has other ideas; she had already told Zoya that things will not be so easy, and that even if Zoya does get married to Asad, Tanveer will be the one who will consummate the marriage with Asad, that she will do everything in her power to disrupt the marriage.
However, Asad does not know anything about this, he is fully confident that the marriage will happen and that Tanveer is his childhood friend and nothing can disrupt this. He is on the way with Tanveer, when he gets down from the vehicle for a short period and then sees that Tanveer is not there. He looks around and sees some people carrying away Tanveer, and chases after them, and you know that this is all a plan by Tanveer to trap Asad in a position where things will go very bad for him and he will be unable to do the marriage.
So, now everyone is waiting for Asad, and he does not show up. Guests start to leave, the Qazi also has to attend to other marriages and is getting late, and things are not going well. And then Zoya gets a call from Tanveer taunting her that what she said was coming true, that Asad was actually with her rather than with Zoya. She gives the address to Zoya, who rushes there along with Ayyan.
Zoya's worst fears are realized when she reaches there, since she sees that both Asad and Tanveer are there in the same bed, under a sheet and Asad's upper body shows signs of lipsticks, and Tanveer looks very satisfied. Zoya is horrified at what she saw, and almost falls to the ground. In the meantime, Asad also gets conscious, sees where he is, and is horrified at seeing his condition and that Zoya is there standing in front of him. He rushes after her, but she refuses to listen to anything he says, seeing that everything is there to be seen already.
She finally comes home, and Asad follows soon after with Tanveer. Everybody is shocked at what happens, and when Asad tries to talk to his mom, she slaps him, and tells him that he has done something horrible, and worst of all, he has done the exact same thing that his father did so many years, and he is just following in the footsteps of his father. Asad is further shocked at this, and everybody leaves. At this point, probably Ayyan is the only one who has some sort of sympathy for Asad, but nobody else. Asad's mother also speaks rudely to Tanveer, blaming her for what has happened, and she leaves from there. Later, when they go looking for Zoya, they are not able to find her.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Karthik shot, badly wounded and in hospital

Things went pretty strange in the serial. The whole quest to bring back Karthik and get him jailed was the basic attempt of Natasha, and she was using the threat of keeping her inlaws in jail until this was achieved. So, here you have Ram, agreeing to let his inlaws be in jail till Karthik comes back; something incredibly unfair and everybody in his family seems to be agreeable to that. Till the time that Karthik comes back, his parents can be jail for something that they did not do, and everybody seems to be fine with that, with only Priya concerned with that; this was an incredible thing to show. Even Ayesha is not at all concerned that her parents in jail; in fact, she was the one who proposed this plan and guided Natasha through all this, and again, only Priya seemed to be concerned by this point. Everybody else did not seem to care that Natasha was taking the help of Ayesha, who was the enemy of everybody and who would not be in the slightest bit caring for what Natasha wanted.
Anyhow, there was a lot of drama in the serial, with the maximum amount of drama being between Ram and Priya; with Ram hiding the fact that he was working on what Natasha wanted, to send the police to arrest Karthik and take him to jail. One confusing point was that nobody mentioned what was the ground of arrest - as far as I know, bigamy was the only point on which the arrest could happen and there was no complaint yet filed; even after filing a case, no mention that a case had been filed. There was no threat by Karthik, so there could not possibly have been a case against Kathik in terms of the domestic violence law.
Anyhow, everybody reached there, with Karthik being provoked by Ayesha to run from there and not believe what Priya was telling him; Priya in turn was literally hounding Karthik with long speeches and huge emotional drama until he finally felt compelled to turn himself into the police (and maybe so that her speeches would end). When he was getting into Ayesha's car and leaving her there, the police fired on him. Not sure whether it was a criminal case, but police typically would not be allowed to fire on somebody until they felt that he was escaping in a very serious case or he was trying to fire on them, so did not understand this part at all.
Anyhow, Karthik takes Priya to the hospital and then lies down on the floor with a bullet in his shoulder. A bullet injury can be very painful, but a shoulder injury would typically not be life threatening unless there is a huge loss of blood, and that is what is seeming to happen since he is lying on the floor (and that too the floor of a hospital) and everybody is just standing around staring. And staring, and Ram even leaves from there and nobody calls a doctor or some other medical help. Finally Priya gets up from her bed, goes there, determines that he is alive and then gets a doctor and other staff to take him for treatment. In terms of how things happened, this was probably the most stupid and illogical episode of this serial that I have seen till now.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - The truth about Karthik unveiled, more tension

Any serial works by showing a series of events that cause tension, these are stretched for several episodes, and when they are resolved, another series of events happen that cause tension, and so on. So, after the truth about the marriage between Natasha and Sid was proven in court and the property was handed back to Ram, there was bound to be some other event which would cause tension. This even in the current set is because they show Karthik, who was otherwise passionate about Natasha, having a second marriage that nobody knows about, and this second marriage has even resulted in a baby. The important event is that everybody will get to know about this, since this is a serial, and the coincidence is that the mother of the child is Jhanvi, who helped Ram and Priya in their court case by acting as a witness to their marriage.
Karthik has come back from Singapore, and since Ayesha had seen him on the video chat which Jhanvi was having with him, she knew that she had got one more weapon on her side. Although Karthik was her own brother, she decided to blackmail Karthik over this knowledge about his having a second wife, and finally got him to pay up money for the same.
But this was not enough. She wanted revenge for what had happened to her, and since Jhanvi was the main witness in the case because of which all her property was taken away from her, she wanted to teach a revenge to Jhanvi. So when a party is happening in the house to celebrate the return of Karthik, she called up Jhanvi and told her that as a well-wisher, Karthik was not well. Jhanvi came to the house and saw what was happening and also saw the exchange of emotions between Karthik and Natasha, and realized that there was no part for her in this. She finally left from there without telling anyone, but left her baby there.
Ram called up the police to tell them about this, and although Priya wanted to take care of the baby rather than the baby going to an orphanage, the police told her that the law does not allow them to let the baby remain in the house and they would need to take the baby. At this Karthik finally breaks his restraints and tells everybody the truth about him being the father of the baby, about his marriage with Jhanvi and how he cannot let the baby be taken away.
Everybody is shocked, and then Ayesha appears on the scene to confirm everything and is gloating about what has happened, how she has taken her revenge, and so on. Finally Priya takes matters into her own hand, and slaps Karthik soundly. However, this will not be the end, since Ram has a temper when it comes to his sister, and even previously he has spoken a lot when something happened, and in the promo, he will again talk harshly, and will even point out that the marriage of Ram and Priya happened because of the need for the marriage of Natasha and Karthik. This might be enough for Priya to claim that everytime he claims that the marriage happened out of necessity and it does not have any standing of its own.

Hindi TV Serial - Pyaar Ka Dard Hai...Meetha Meetha - High drama at the wedding, Adi calls of the wedding

A few episodes back, the serial revealed the reason for the anger that Avantika felt for her ex-husband Harish. She had seen a document related to an abortion, and because of that, she left him because he was having an affair with somebody else, and this is the tension that continued between them, and which probably made her so bitter for such a long time. And this news will come out a time that is most inopportune, and so it did, at the occasion of the festivites related to the marriage of their son, Aditya, with Latika.
At the mehendi ceremony where Pankhuri had tried to get the family together, including even getting Avantika and Harish to do a dance together, tempers flared between them, with an angry Harish telling Avantika about how she always felt that she was right, and that she was the one who moved away from him, which led to the separation. Eventually, this provoked Avantika enough that she revealed the secret about why she had moved out, because Harish had an affair. Before Harish could say too much more about this further, Adi had got angry enough about the fight between them that he declared that he did not want to get married because if this how a marriage is like, he did not want to get married.
This shocked everybody, but the ceremony was now over. After some time, Adi decided that he wanted to know the truth, and went to Harish's house to find out the truth, but Harish refused to provide any more details. If there was indeed not an affair, then one probable reason was that Harish was covering up for somebody else who was close, and even now, after so many years, he would not want to reveal any more details of what had happened.

Hindi TV Serial - Kya Hua Tera Vaada - Jatin woos Mona, and Pradeep plays the jealous role

The serial is going through a phase where they are showing the jealous nature of Pradeep. He left Mona and their 12 year old relationship for Anushka and the promises that she showed him, but still retails a strong possessive sense for Mona; so when he sees that Jatin has given a proposal for Mona, he is shocked. He is even more shocked when he sees his own father pushing Mona for meeting Jatin and for atleast considering the proposal; and foolishly, he scolds his own father for doing so. The result was that he got a thorough scolding from his own father for whatever happened, and for trying to interfere in Mona's life. Further, when he tries to act in front of Mona, she not only talks back to him but Anushka hears when he is trying to act possessive and he is only able to manage the situation with some difficulty.
Mona is still shocked about the proposal, and since her father-in-law was pushing her, she goes to the restaurant to meet Jatin, and to shock him and make him aware, she takes all 3 children along. However, Jatin handles the situation very well, taking care of the children, asking them for what they wanted and getting on a friendship term with them. Pradeep has also come to the restaurant to see what is happening (although Anushka does not know about this) and when Jatin sees him, he welcomes him and does not seem to care that even though he called Mona, she called her children as well as her husband.
On the other side, Tani is seen walking back from the engagement of Madhav with Jia, being further taunted by Madhav at the ceremony, and walking back in the rain where she faints. Now, typically, in hindi serials and movies, wherever there is a fainting happening of  a lady like this, it is often meant to indicate that she is pregnant. One wonders what will happen in this case.

Hindi TV Serial - Kya Hua Tera Vaada - Becoming somewhat farcial

The serial moves between the serious and the stupid / comical. You have a serial that is pushed on a very serious issue, whereby a man is seduced and walks off from a decade old relationship with his wife, and at the end, does not feel the least bit wrong about it, and even blames everybody in his life for the same. The wife seemingly accepts it, but her plan (and that of her mother-in-law) is to show the husband how he is wrong, and will eventually lead to his coming back to his wife.
So there is a court case for divorce, where his wife pushes the children onto him, and then his mother makes up with him so that she can create differences between the new couple and the old one. When the wife goes to her sister-in-law for a job, she makes an excuse and then refuses to offer the job, since she knows which side she should take, and starts sucking up to the new relation.
And then the comedy happens. The mother-in-law decides that one way to do this is to get the new girlfriend to take part in a local cake baking contest, and there starts a contest where the good wife is bested due to trickery (in the meantime, the smart children get caught and are sentenced to a boarding school by a very angry father). The scheming sister-in-law decides that she should do more to get closer to the rich new girlfriend and tells about how the mother-in-law is committing fraud.

Hindi TV Serial - Parichay - The truth about Gaurav is known, confrontation in the family

Parichay is very sensitive about the TRP ratings that it has, and it has a very critical time slot. As a result, any dragging in the serial can cause people to start switching, and this actually works to the benefit of viewers since the serial makers are forced to keep movement in the serial and not drag stuff. So, for example, earlier the serial had dragged a lot during the whole court case with Richa, and the current episode seems to have been resolved much faster.

There were 2 current tracks that were happening. One was the issue about Raveena - Vikram - Rohit, and the other was over Siddhi getting to know the truth about Siddhi's affair and others in the family not knowing the truth and casting doubt over Siddhi's version; also tension between Seema and Siddhi over this whole matter.

So, this time Raveena was much smarter. She had already realized that whatever she had with Rohit was over, that Rohit had tried to use her, and that Vikram was the one who was totally for her. 

But when vikram had seen her with Rohit in the farmhouse, he had developed a misunderstanding, and hence she totally wanted to reverse things. So, the next time when she was meeting with Rohit to get him to back down, she had also taken the liberty of tape-recording everything, and this enabled Vikram to learn the truth about her feelings and this brought them closer together.

On the other hand, Kunal finally learnt that Siddhi was right, and that Gaurav was indeed having an affair, and this was finally revealed in the house. There was a confrontation in the house, where Gaurav blamed everybody for not paying him the same attention as they paid to the others (including his own wife - the same logic given in the serial Kya Hua Tera Vayda) and stomped out of the house. One wonders as to what will happen next, since Gaurav even works for his father-in-law and one would think that the job would no longer be available.

Hindi TV Serial - Parichay - Kunal very angry with Siddhi about her going to Akasha's flat

Things are going problematic for Siddhi. Even though there is a lot of happiness for her pregnancy, she is very worried about what Gaurav is doing to Seema by having an affair with Akasha, who is a young girl. In the beginning, Siddhi is able to get the family on her side, but then Gaurav is able to convince everyone that there is no affair, that the flat has been bought with the knowledge of Seema's father and that Siddhi has no proof about this affair. And in a idiotic scene, the girl herself is brought to their home, where she expectedly denies that there is any affair. So now all is well, Siddhi story is not to be believed, but that does not stop her.
She hears Garuav talking on the phone where he wants Akasha to move to a new flat, so that there is no more tension on this issue, and is not found out. She still is sure that Gaurav is in an immoral relationship, and decides to go to the flat to find out more and see whether she can get more evidence, and manages to enter the flat. However, Akasha is leaving, and ends up locking Siddhi inside the flat. Now, Siddhi is locked inside the flat, and she does get support from Kunal who is outside. However, there was a trip to Kashmir that Gaurav had arranged for them to get them out of the way, and so they are not able to do this trip.
The impact of this flat stay is that the family is very angry at Siddhi's attempt to find out more (blaming her for trying to create gaps between Seema and gaurav, and Seema does not believe what Siddi is saying about this relationship any more). Kunal is also very angry, and is ignoring whatever Siddhi is doing to try and cool him down.
And Veena is on her own track, relating everything to the coming arrival of her dead son Anand in the name of Siddhi's baby, creeping everybody out.

Hindi TV Serial - Parichay - The affair between Gaurav and a young girl

Serial makers can spin a story out of nowhere. So soon after the story of Richa and Kunal came to an end with the arrest of Richa, there is a new story seemingly introduced without any prior notice. Till now Gaurav has been shown as a dedicated family man, with children and a loving wife in the form of Seema. And then suddenly they show an affair in which Gaurav is involved. And all this is found by Siddhi who goes to a house inhabited for 3 young girls in order to ask them for eviction proceedings, and this is denied by the inhabitants of the house one of whom claims that the house is owner by her boy-friend and hence there is no way that they can be kicked out of the house.
Now that this new story has been introduced, Siddhi seems more incidents like this, including Gaurav in the company of that girl Akasha. But finally the story comes in front of Seema who does a huge drama in front of Gaurav, since she believes that Gaurav has been betraying his family. However, Gaurav manages to turn tables on the whole incident by first getting his father-in-law to confirm that the house was indeed bought as a gift, and then when the girl is called to the house, she is already warned by Gaurav through a text message and denies that there is anything such as an affair between them, and Seema and the family believe this. However Siddi is pretty sure about what she saw and is now out to prove that there is indeed an affair between them; the interesting thing is that inspite of all this happening (and even though his job is with his father-in-law), he continues the affair.

Hindi TV Serial - Kya Hua Tera Vaada - Finally the news breaks, Pradeep calls off the marriage

To tell the truth, I have been finding this show a bit irritating over the past few episodes, but maybe the setting is part of the serial. They show a family going through strain, where the husband Pradeep feels that his wife is now so dedicated to family (read this as the children) and to the running of the family that she does not really have the time to spend on him. This feeling grows on him, and he has frustration with his current job where he feels that he is not valued. On the other hand, his wife Mona gives a very good representation of acting like a door-knob, letting him unleash on her whenever he wants, and not setting him right even once in a while. She just takes the pain in silence, and whenever Pradeep vents on her, she tries to figure out what her fault was.
Things however come to a pass when Pradeep is about to resign from the company because of an issue, and then suddenly his old college girl-friend, the ambitious Anushka comes into the picture as being the owner of the company. She sets things right for Pradeep, and then decides over the next few days that she was wrong to let Pradeep go in the past, and she wants him now. One of her close friends even warns her against this, but she does not listen.
So you now have Pradeep being sought by his own boss, a boss who is ambitious, who has given him promotions, and who flatters him with the attention that he is looking for, and over a period of time, Pradeep even starts having a relationship with her, under the nose of Mona who does not know all this, and who even believes that Anushka is a good friend to her.
And then there is an accident that causes Pradeep to blurt out his true feelings about Anushka, something which Mona overhears, and then in front of both sets of parents, Pradeep declares that his marriage is over, that he cannot stay with Mona anymore (and anyhow, this was a forced marriage), and he is going to stay with Anushka, she is ambitious like the person he wanted. On the other hand, in Mona's house, her father is not very comfortable with her coming back to stay with them, since he cannot deal with what people will say about this.
