Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Priya still in a coma, starting to sink

This was a development that few people would have projected. And yet, there is an unsettling feeling about the way that the serial has taken such a serious topic and let it die down (hopefully it will get raised again as and when Priya comes out of her coma). 7 years back, Pihu had landed up in serious trouble when she fell in a rebellious love with Varun (who was the son of Shruti and the old enemy Ashwin). Varun was of course looking for revenge on Priya, and Pihu was the perfect way to take such revenge. What he neglected to remember in all his arrogance was that she was only 15 years old and underage, and the (rich and powerful) parents of such an underage girl would be very difficult to handle and could make life hell. And then when it came to the crunch, even Pihu chose to save herself and handed over Varun to go to hell. When it came to a situation where both of them were together in a room at the prom party, obviously upto no good and Priya caught them, things would get very problematic. Pihu prompty cried rape and the poor guy landed up in jail; with the powerful parents ensuring that the police did not listen to anyone and Varun also got beaten up. This caused huge problems to his family as well (his own life was ruined).
False allegations of rape can be a huge problem. Even though Varun was upto no good, he had not really done anything wrong so far and yet was now in a critical problem. The serial should have done some focusing on this area, instead they took it even further by showing that Varun was so overcome by the problems that happened to his parents and brother that he committed suicide. On the other side, Priya finally realized that there was something fishy and managed to get the truth out of Pihu; also realizing that her own attitude had also caused problems to Pihu. She meant to take Pihu to the police station but learnt that Varun had committed suicide, and then a car accident happened where she went into a coma because of her injuries and has been in the same state for 7 years now.
Cut to the current scene. The serial has not shown whether Pihu owned up to whatever happened 7 years back, but the family is still running smoothly. Ram has done both roles of mom and dad, and is also assisted a lot by the Neha and Vikram, and by Juhi, who was an old friend of Priya and had just met her a few days back 7 years ago. She has taken so much charge of their lives that the children call her choti mom (younger mother now). In fact, the children have started to feel that everybody should accept that Priya is not going to come out of the coma and that Ram should get remarried to Juhi so that things get more settled for him. Ram of course is shocked at this and says that nothing like this is going to happen.
The situation on the front of Priya is starting to get worse with doctors saying that if Priya does not come out of coma this year, she may never come out of the coma, and further still, her organs are now starting to sink and she is getting into trouble. Ram is horrified at this news, and although he has been visiting her at the hospital every day for 7 years, he decides to make a change and bring her home so that she can come to comfortable surroundings and maybe now come out of the coma.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Tension in the house as Suraj not yet come for Rakhi

There is a lot of tension in the house. Even though Suraj and Sandhya have left the house, it is time for Rakhi and everybody is expecting that since this is Chavvi's last rakhi before she leaves after marriage, it will be a grand celebration. And since both Mohit and Vikram are not earning all that much, they are not really in a position to do a grand celebration. So, it all boils down to Suraj doing his duty.
However, there has to be drama shown in the serial and so you see the case where after doing their purchasing of a good diamond jewelery item in the shop in Mt. Abu, both Suraj and Sandhya are stuck in a lift due to a power cut. It is late and they realize that nobody can listen to them since they are stuck inside the lift. They try their best to see how they can get the lift opened, but it does not work. So, they are now settled inside the lift for the night, hoping that they can get out in the morning.
In the meantime, in the Rathi house, the usual system of taunting is ongoing. Meena knows that both Mohit and Emily don't have much money, and so she tells them that they would be unable to do anything for the rakhi celebration for Chhavi, in a way that they hear. Bhabho also hears this, and to ensure that Emily does not feel hurt, she gives a gold earring to Emily so that this can be presented to Chhavi by Emily. Emily is happy that she seems to have made a place in Bhabho's heart even though Mohit remains distant from her.
In another discussion, Bhabho have been having a discussion with Vikram and Mohit about the celebration for Chhavi, but both of them claim that they do not have much money and hence cannot contribute too much. And in the midst of all this is ongoing conversation about why Suraj has not turned up yet. There is some taunting that Suraj and Sandhya have gone for a vacation, and hence would not be back. And then Meena's mother comes in with another bit of news that Suraj had bought a necklace worth Rs. 55,000 for Sandhya. Everybody is shocked at this, with Mohit even suggesting that the sweet shop was actually in the name of Bhabho and hence the money from the shop should be given to Bhabho rather than Suraj spending it for Sandhaya. Bhabho is listening to all this, but is not yet ready to defend Suraj on all this.
In the meantime, finally Suraj and Sandhya get free from their imprisonment in the lift, and rush out. They take a jeep, getting the taxi jeep to move fast by playing on his going to miss the rakhi festival. In the meantime, in the house, there are a lot of questions about the 3 rakhis on the plate, since it would seem to everybody that Suraj is not going to be able to make it to the house in time. And then they hear a noise of a procession from outside, and it is Suraj and Sandhya; and when Suraj enters the house, he gives a necklace to Chhavi, with this being a gold necklace that was the one that he apparently purchased from the jeweller shop.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Suraj and Sandhya leave the home, Bhabho riding on her ego

The first sign of a split in the household, but the makers of the serial are also trying to convey that this is not the intent of the serial. After all, for the past few episodes, they have shown 2 conflicting points - Suraj badly wants to ensure that Sandhya lives upto the ambition of her parents and herself and becomes an IPS officer. Sandhya also wants that, but is hesitant to go with full effort towards this goal. Due to her realization of the time that Bhabho tried to give her liqour chocolates so that she would miss the exam, she realized that Bhabho desperately wants to ensure that Sandhya remains the bahu of the house, and not give into the quest to become an IPS office. She is reluctant to break this hope of Bhabho, but at the same time, Suraj has invested a lot of his emotions in ensuring that she lives upto her dreams, and hence is caught in this conflict. Bhabasa learns all this when he questions her about her not trying her best in the final round of the show, and finally tells her that she must live upto the dreams of everybody and Suraj will handle Bhabho. Well, she does win the show and comes home to a time of a lot of tension.
As usual, when she comes home, Meena has done a lot to stir the pot. She got some of the neighbors to come to the house for the welcoming of Sandhya after winning the contest, and also tried to provoke Bhabho by referring to the third pot which will now not be broken. At this, Bhabhasa tells her to take the pot to her room and ensure that it does not break. However, Bhabho is in a highly angry mood and even refuses the sweet that has been prepared by Chaturi in celebration of the win; and this win means that there is no further effort from Bhabho's side to prepare for the contest.
Bhabho later taunts Suraj for solely trying to fulfil the wishes of his wife, but he tells her that this is unfair. When he did for others, he was a good brother, a good son, but when he tries to do for his wife, he is now suddenly become a slave to his wife. However, he tells Bhabho that since things are bad between them now, he will leave the house. Everybody in the house is shocked and try to stop him, but Bhabho is so angry right now that she says that if they want to leave, they should leave. He tells Bhabho that he believes that she will come to take him in 15 days only (and with the kind of other children that she has, it will be in less than 15 days that she would realize his true worth), but Bhabho tells him that she will not come to take him in. When Sandhya objects, he tells her that this is not because of her and she has to leave the house as well.
Things are otherwise difficult in the house. Emily and Mohit are tense because Mohit is short of money and was hoping that Emily might win something, after all, Bhabho could come to him anytime for the money; and even otherwise Meena should be totally distraught since that means most of the money needed for running the house should now come from Vikram, and Meena would be horrified at that. Bhabho already knows the kind of lies that her own daughter Chavi can say, since she had tested this out and determined this.

Hindi TV Serial - Meri Bhabhi - Planning for the anniversary party of Kittu and Anand

The serial is starting out with the best of feelings between the sister-in-laws of the family. On the one side is Shraddha, who has been ditched by her husband Bobby, and on the other side is Kittu, married to Shraddha's brother Anand. Ever since Kittu found about the condition of Shraddha, she is providing a great deal of support to Shraddha, ensuring that she did not get into a depression. However, like any other serial, there is an awful lot of temptation to try to make the serial more attractive to viewers who want masala in their life, and hence there are a couple more negative characters in the serial. One of them is the mother of Kittu, Kamini who believes that the presence of Shraddha will have a bad impact on her daughter and her marriage and even otherwise does not seem to have any sympathy for Shraddha. Also, the other daughter-in-law of the family, Jaya, also does not like the presence of Shraddha in the house, while for everybody else in the house, having Shraddha there is the logical outcome of her current position.
Shraddha suffered an even bigger shock because of the re-arrival of Bobby. The family wanted to talk to Bobby, Shraddha's husband who had left her, to figure out what is going on in their relationship and why they are separated. So everybody is very happy when Bobby comes to the house, and is very apologetic over what happened. They feel that now Shraddha will be happy, and so will be their son who is badly missing his father, and then Bobby reveals his problems. He tells them that he wants to have Shraddha with him and is trying to arrange for a place to stay, and trying to arrange for money for the same.
Believing him, everybody feels sympathy for him; Kittu wants to make things better for Shraddha, and without telling her husband, she forces Bobby to accept lakhs of rupees. Shraddha's parents also ask Bobby to take some money from them; all this without telling Anand. Anand does not believe what Bobby is saying, and wants to make clear that they can only trust him so much. And Bobby proves Anand right, by running away with the money that he got from them. But Anand and Shraddha pursue him to Bombay, and find him with another lady, telling her that if he now wants to get more money, he will come and get more money from Shraddha. Anand gets angry at Bobby, and when Bobby makes some bad comments about Shraddha, he beats him up with Bobby trying to escape from him.
Now Shraddha is sure that there is no going back, especially after hearing what Bobby was saying about her. She decides that there is no other option than to divorce Bobby, and tells the family about this decision.
On the other side, Kittu is reminder by her mom about the upcoming anniversary celebration, and talks to Anand about this. He is angry and claims that with all this happening to Shraddha, how could she even think about the anniversary. However, he later realizes that he should not have acted like this, and decides to get her a present. Kamini decides to hold the anniversary party, and then discourages Shraddha from attending, but this will surely lead to a lot of drama.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Sandhya exposes bribery, hunting for the culprit

This is the last chance for Sandhya. She has already gone through 2 chances that Bhabho gave her, and 2 of her matkas where broken thus giving her only one chance for reaching her ambition of joining the IPS and becoming a police officer. This last chance is if she wins a contest called SBC (Sabse Bada Champion). To the surprise of everyone in the family, Emily also wanted to take part in the show since this would give a chance for her to win some money (and this would replace the money that Mohit lost in the chit fund). There was some apprehension about whether she would be able to attend, but in the end, Bhabho allowed her to attend the contest as well, and to some extent, Bhabho would rather Emily won the show, since she does not want Sandhya to win the show and go for a career in the IPS.
The show has now started, and there was some surprise about the fact that 2 members of the same family entered the show. The show took the entrants through some round of questions, and there would be people eliminated in the various rounds. In the first round, Sandhya did great and topped. On the other hand, Emily barely scraped through. However, in the next round, where the contestants had to convince a large number of people in a movie hall to go with them, Emily won the round. Now things were getting tense. It was this time that Mohit wanted to make sure that Emily won, and he found that his old friend, Manoj is a part of the show, and he manages to get Manoj to come and give him answers for the forthcoming round.
In the next round, Sandhya and Emily are in one round where they have to select an article, and there they have to show between a rope and a tissue roll. Emily has been told that the roll is the correct item, but Sandhya insists on the rope, and it turns out that the rope was indeed the answer, Manoj had mistook rope for roll.
However, soon after Sandhya smells something wrong, while in the meantime Manoj is trying to get the laptop of Abhimanyu, so that he can find the answer. He finally manages to get hold of the laptop, but in the meantime Sandhya is suspicious of Manoj and follows him, and then she manages to get hold of his phone and shows it to everyone, thus showing that he had been helping somebody. Everybody is shocked that Manoj was trying to subvert the show, and they decide to hold off the contest proceedings till they find the name of the participant who was getting help from Manoj. And they all praise Sandhya for her attempts in this regard.
On the other side, Meena is starting to have motherly feelings towards Mishri, who is actually her daughter, and tried to get close to her, but Daisa stops her from doing son. And then the precap for an upcoming episode shows that Meena and Chavvi will have a argument where Meena will reveal many things that Chavvi did, and Bhabho hears all those.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha - Mohan leaves everything as part of a deal with Addu

The serial is on its way to take another shift. After a long time the serial showed everything happy, and you know that it would be too good to last. Already there has been a lot of feedback from viewers that they really appreciate only the main pair of Megha and Mohan, and everybody else was not getting the desired attraction from the viewers. So the makers of the serial decided to do a shift and changed things around, such that the focus will again be on the pair of Mohan and Megha. So there will be none or less shown of Beera, Navika, etc.
Daddaji has been caught and a number of children who have currently been kidnapped are rescued from several warehouses that are controlled by Daddaji, and the whole item has been shown on television as well. In addition, Beera has played a stellar role in all this, which reduces the hurt that Navika faced when she learned that all her faith in Beera was not correct, that in fact, he was whatever Mohan had described. He was actually acting on behalf of Daddaji earlier, but this was only temporary, since when he learnt that Daddaji and Addu were both criminals, he tried to stop them and get them arrested by the police.
When Megha confronts Addu and tells him that she knows who he was, but that he is no longer her son because of what all he has done and what he has become, things change for Addu. He has an emotional scene with Megha, but she wants him to repent for what he has done, and to earn the respect and forgiveness of his mother, and only then will he be worthy of her love and role as a mother.
However, even while things are changing in this respect, he takes an action that viewers of the serial would not have expected, and makes the serial even more serious. During a journey where the entire family was going to enjoy and relax, Addu has a few words with Mohan where he tells Mohan that his entire life so far was centered on hatred towards Mohan. It seems like that has not been completed, since he tells Mohan that he wants Mohan to leave the family and leave in such a way that they will forget about him in some time (in fact he tells Mohan that Addu will handle the family in such a way that they will totally forget about him in some time); Mohan wants Megha to get her son back and away from his criminal past and is even willing to follow the condition set by Addu. He takes a wistful look at the family when they are all enjoying and having fun, and sets out - although he is intercepted by Megha and Rimjhim.
The serial will apparently have a time leap of around 2 years where Mohan has disappeared, apparently fallen over a cliff, and Megha moves away to Mumbai for a new life. She even meets somebody who is similar to Mohan but she soon realizes that this is not Mohan, but just somebody who looks like him. The serial is apparently set to get much more serious from now on.

Hindi TV Serial - Saraswatichandra - Kumud's marriage with Saras breaks off, now married to Pramad

Saraswatichandra is a slow serial, and it's TRP ratings are now taking a break. At a time when there are multiple serials on nowadays which move fast and don't stick on the same story for weeks and weeks, the serial is one of the slowest moving serials on TV today and hence even if you miss it for a week, you don't feel like you really miss much. In the past few weeks however, finally the story has taken a twist. For so many weeks, the serial showed the slow transformation of Saras from somebody who was insular and non-smiling to somebody, who through the influence of Kumud, finally got to know the better parts of life, about love and life, and finally brought back a smile to his life. But after their wedding was decided and he had to rush back to Dubai, you knew that there was something wrong. And when the serial took such a full episode to show the separation between Saras and Kumud, including their leaving some parting gifts for each other, you knew that there were things going to go wrong, and it happened.

Cut to the current situation where the marriage proposal between Kumud and Saras is broken, and this is the second time that this happened. When this happens, Kumud informs her family about what has happened, and they consider that the relation has now broken. Already, there is another proposal from a politician called Buddhidhan for his son Pramad, and finally Vidyachatur decided to get his daughter married off to Pramad. Kumud also agreed to this. Saras was in a shattered frame of mind after he had a disagreement with his father, since there was going to be a business meeting that happened but which got moved by a day because of Guman. As a result, Saras was badly shocked, and it was in this frame of mind that he refused the relationship. But he was persuaded by Sunny that he had done wrong to Kumud and Saras finally rushes back but finds that the marriage is about to happen. He is discovered by Umesh, and since Umesh was so angry at him for breaking up his marriage to Kumari, he beats up Saras very badly.

Kumud finally did get married to Pramad, but this relationship was off to a bad start. Kumud was determined to make a good wife and daughter-in-law, but Pramad is drunk with her on the first day of marriage itself and tells her that this marriage was forced on him by his father, he was not interested in marriage. And he tells Kumud that she should not consider that this marriage meant anything to him, this is a marriage in name only. On the other hand, Saras was discovered by Pramad's sister in an injured state and she takes him home to help him recover, and so it again turns out that Kumud and Saras are now in the same house, although both of them do not know this. What will happen next ?

Hindi TV Serial - Sasural Simar Ka - Jhumki made to drink alcohol to reveal truth

For some days and weeks now, the serial has been showing Jhumki in the serial, preventing Khushi and Veeru from grabbing the house and property after the death of Roli. With Roli dead, the property will go back to Veeru, and it is the acting of Jhumki as Roli which is preventing this from happening. On an earlier deadline, Simar and Prem had found Jhumki and persuaded her to come with them and make sure that the household remains in the hands of the Bhardwarj family. However, both Veeru and Khushi were sure that this was some kind of plot, since Roli was indeed dead, and how could it be that there was Roli again. Now all their quest was to show that this was not Roli, and that it was somebody else.
Things were more complicated, since Jhumki had to be taught all the habits and customs of Roli, and some of them were more difficult, such as being one of the earliest to get up and do morning stuff for the household. Another major problem was that nobody else in the house knew that this was not Roli, but Jhumki, and hence were trying to push her back to Siddharth, so that they could resume their normal marital relationship. This was making Jhumpi very nervous, since she knew that she was not married to Siddharth, and hence was trying to stay away from Sid, and he was also confused. Prem and Simar would keep on coming back again and again to prevent this from happening. Finally Siddhart also got to know, and he was also hurt on knowing this.
In the meantime, Khushi was forever on the quest to ensure that she could get the secret of Jhumki revealed, and would try numerous stuff. She would try and get Jhumki to revert back to her natural way of speaking, which was very different from Roli; she even prepared food with a lot of chillies so that Jhumki would feel a horrid taste and would express her feelings, but Jhumki got to know and somehow got Khushi to eat the food first, and it was Khushi who suffered this. On another occasion, Jhumki was supposed to do one performance with the dance group of whom she was a member, but khushi managed to persuade the family to go there and see her. Jhumki got to know, and was able to prevent this disaster from happening.
Finally, it was almost time for Veeru and Khushi to be thrown out of the house, and they did their final attempt. They managed to get Khumki to drink alcohol and she got drunk, and started speaking about everything in front of everybody. Khushi was very happy, claiming that this was the truth of Jhumki, not Roli, and with the lawyer there, it was clear to everybody that the property and house would go to Khushi and Veeru and the family would have to leave. What will happen next ? 

Hindi TV Serial - Balika Vadhu - What to do about Sanchi and her love for Jagdish

The family is thoroughly confused about what to do about Sanchi. The way that she shocked them with her statement that she is in love with Jagdish and will marry him totally shocked them. Even though there was something strange about the way that she had immediately gone to Jaitsar on learning about the deep injuries suffered by Jagdish, this could be explained by the fact that Jagdish had helped her when Sunny was trying to cause injury to her. As a result, her being concerned about Jagdish would seem normal. However, the fact that she had now come out in the open and expressed her love for Jagdish was very scary for them.
If they were ever trying to select a husband for her, Jagdish would never have shown up in that shortlist. He had a child marriage, had been married twice and divorced both times, and the biggest problem was that he had shown himself as undependable when he broke away from his first marriage and started having an affair even though he was still in the child marriage. Further, he stayed in a old style place, with a conservative family and the openness that Sanchi had in her parents house was very different from the other house. First her family tries to dissuade her, but she is right now devoted to Jagdish and is not willing to listen to anything. Then Anandi tries to talk some sense into her by telling her about the totally different lifestyle, customs and all that are there in Jagdish's house and how those are not a fit for her.
This whole problem leads to a family discussion. When there are suggestions made that Sanchi is totally irresponsible, the women in the house cannot accept that, and do not want all blame to fall on Sanchi, claiming that there would be some input of Jagdish to all this behavior, and he would have something to with all this. Daddu takes the stage, and accepts that if Sanchi is so determined, it would be difficult to do something else. Even the problems in Jagdish's past were those that happen for somebody so young; he was married as a child, so his first marriage was not his fault. Second, it was natural for him to be attracted to somebody like Gauri when he grew up, since that what happens at that age, and they were spending so much time together during studies. But if you look at him now, he is so responsible.
However, Ira totally refuses to let her daughter get married to somebody who has already been through 2 marriages. Dadu however states that nobody right now knows what is there in the mind of Jagya, and he is not in favor for this marriage, that is an easy solution since then there is no basis for Sanchi to want this marriage. But somebody will need to talk to Jagya for this, and the family decides to go to Jagdish's house to talk on this issue.
There, there is celebration going on since Ganga has passed her exam, and she starts the lead in preparation of Jagdish's birthday.

Hindi TV Serial - Sanskaar - Dharohar Apnon Ki - Finally the mill is opened and truth about Amrutlal and Hansmukh revealed

For some time now, there has been a lot of tension in the serial about the mill and the sale of the mill. There were accusations against Karsan, the truly honest member in the family about the disappearance of the papers and the appearance of the papers in the hand of Amrutlal. Amrutlal wants to get the land on which the mill stands, and he was finding it difficult to do as long as the mill was working and on a regular basis. So, he was the one who set fire to the mill, which was the event which caused Kishan to leave for abroad to get support and funds for re-opening the mill and ensuring the heritage of his family was preserved and the workers of the area got the support they needed.
However, when he returned, he returned with a wife, Bhoomi, which nobody was expecting. In fact, due to a communication gap, he thought that he had told his family about the marriage and they were approving of his decision to get married to Bhoomi, while they thought that they had arranged a bride for him and he was accepting of their decision. So, Bhoomi faced a lot of problem in getting accepted in the family and has to run through a series of tests set by the matriarch of the family, Aruna Irani. Inspite of not knowing the details of these items, she manages to pass these tests.
Now, Kishan decides that he will not let this happen, and will prevent Amrutlal from taking the property of the mill. For this, he has to first determine the role of Hansmukh in this whole episode and then figure out how the papers were actually given to Amrutlal. With the help of Bhoomi, first he goes to Amrutlal's place when he is looking for sellers to sell the land on which the mill is built, and then informs everybody that the papers he had were false and that they should not get tempted to buy the land since there are lots of problems with the papers and why they are getting sucked into something that is legally wrong. Amrutlal is not convinced, but he has an element of doubt and gets in touch with Hansmukh to find the true papers and also threatens him to resolve matters.
Kishan and Bhoomi then trap Hansmukh and get his evidence on the phone, and then force him to get the papers from Amrutlal under a false guise. He then uses this to get the court order vacated and finally managed to ensure that the matter is now clear, and even when Amrutlal appears there, he manages to show him that everything is correct and even Amrutlal's lawyer agrees with this. At this stage, Amrutlal reveals the whole truth about whatever Hansmukh had done to help him.

Hindi TV Serial - Sasural Simar Ka - Again the family being kicked out of the house, trying to get Roli's lookalike

A very strange situation, but it seems like the serial is meant for showing sadness and despair, and is almost becoming like a hindi film. So, the death of Roli is clear, and this death is causing financial problems to the family. In addition to the emotional turmoil that was caused to Simar and Siddharth, and the rest of the family, the changes in the life of Roli were so fast after she had deceived Veeru and got him to give the property back to Roli that the papers were not properly registered. Because of this, Veeru shows up when the Bhardwarj family tried to get back to the house, Veeru claimed that he was the nominee and hence the property is theirs. Both Veeru and Khushi were very happy at this, and to cause humiliation to the family.
They give the family 36 hours to vacate the house, and also tell them many other things for further embarrassment. As usual, there are a lot of tears from everyone in the house because of all this going on, they have already lost their dutiful and loving daughter-in-law Roli. And then they also hear that Veeru and Khushi have no intention of living together, and since they cannot decide what to do with the house, they will sell the house and divide the money among themselves. Since the house has such an emotional connection with the family, they are even further distraught when they hear all this.
On the other hand, Simar and Prem are not there yet, and the family decide that they will wait for them to come back before they leave the house. They see a young girl, and since this is a hindi serial, you know that there will be a duplicate of Roli who will show up, and she will have a totally different background, and so it happens in this case. Simar sees somebody on the street who looks like her sister performing in a nautch girl kind of routine and trying to stop everybody over there, since she cannot stand to see her sister doing an act like that. On the other hand, the girl, called Jhumki, is not able to understand who Simar is, and why she is chasing after her screaming the name of Roli.
Finally Simar and Prem catch up with Jhumki, who is there with her younger brother, and Simar realizes that this girl is not her sister; she hugs her and realizes that there is no connection that she is making with this girl. Both Simar and Prem tell the girl about their situation, and the need they have of her coming with them and making the case that she was Roli and preventing Veeru and Khushi from kicking the family out of the house. Jhumki is reluctant, but finally agrees and lays down some conditions for the same, including a lot of money. Now, Jhumki has to learn a lot about Roli, her style, the people in the family, how they live, and it taker her some time, which makes Simar impatient. But finally she comes and starts preventing Veeru and Khushi from kicking the family out of the house.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Bhabho has a strong attack of conscience

The serial is showing a side of Bhabho that was not ever shown before. Bhabho has always been determined that Sandhya would never be a police officer and she would do whatever was necessary to prevent that. As a consequence, she decided to feed liquor chocolates to Sandhya during the marriage ceremonies, on the eve of the test, so that Sandhya would not be in a proper state of mind to give the test.
In the meantime, the marriage ceremonies were getting over with Emily coming to the home and doing some more ceremonies in the house. Finally, during some teasing, Emily and Mohit are in the room, and it is there that Emily gets a big shock. Mohit takes off his pagri, and then scolds Emily that she finally got what she wanted. Emily is shocked at this tone from Mohit and tells him that this was what was best for both of them, and both of them did love each other. However, Mohit told her that he was shocked when she went to the police station against him, and she had lost his love forever as a result of that. Emily told him that they had a child coming to birth, and so on ... but as of now Mohit is determined, since he tells her that she may have got married to him, but there is no love between them, and he will not give her the love a husband would give to a wife, and nothing she does will change that.
On the other side, both Chavvi and Sandhya have started studying for the exam for the next day, but Sandhya is not very stable, primarily because of the liquor that she ate (which was forced on her by Bhabho, given that Bhabho knew that the effect of those liquor chocolates would ensure that she was dizzy the next day, hardly the best of state to be in when you are giving an exam). Suraj tries to help her, but soon after, Sandhya is falling dizzy and goes to sleep. At the other side, Vikram is being sarcastic against Meena, since he tells her that you are the only one who is differentiating between a girl child and a male child, I would have treated both of them the same.
The next morning, Bhabho has a strong attack of conscience, with her conscience facing back to her in the mirror and telling her that she has sunk low, since she did not use good tactics to get her method, the use of liquor to force Sandhya against going for the test was not right. This conscience finally forced Bhabho at attempt to wake up Sandhya, and when Meena was surprised about this, she also got an earful from Bhabho on this one. Finally, Bhabho managed to wake up Sandhya, who was also in a bad state, and they are in the nick of time, managed to take Sandhya to the exam center, but the iron grill has just been closed by a guard.

Hindi TV Serial - Saraswatichandra - The almost relationship between Saras and Kumud

The serial is fairly popular right now, but it gets a bit impatient to watch when it is coming on TV. It can seem very slow indeed to watch, given the speed at which events happen, and how everything seems to be going round and round. There was almost going to be a lot of bitterness in the serial when Guman planned to get Saras put in jail, an event that galvanized Kumud into action and she finally managed to get him out of jail just when Guman was raising a furore over what had happened. She managed to catch Yash and get him to admit that he was responsible for what had happened, even though Yash was not exactly agreeable to admit to all this.
Ever since then, the relation between Saran and Kumud has been a question mark. It is clear to everybody that there is no longer an engagement between Saras and Kumud, and so there are questions about why Kumud is spending so much time with him. Further, there was a time when both Kumud and Sarad has gone to the city, and were late in coming back. As a result, Guman raised questions about all this, indirectly hinting that this closeness between Kumud and Saras was inappropriate. But this was quickly nipped in the bug, since Vidya Chatur has full belief in his daughter and will not hear any words spoken against her.
Kumud still has a lot of anger against Saras, and tells him that she wants him to keep a distance of 4 feet from her at all times, leading to some comical scenes as well. For example, when they need to go look at land for a school, the bus is crowded and so they sit on the roof of the bus. Yet, on the roof, they sit separate from each other because of this need for distance. An old lady scolds them about behaving like when they are already married to each other.
Kumud also learns a lot more about Kumud, when Dugba comes into the house and tells about how Saras no longer believes in relationships, and as a result, he sees no need for marriage. She already knows about the way his mother died, and how this would impact him. So, now she promises Dugba that she will bring Saras out from his sadness and make him a better man. And then, a friend of Saras also arrives there, Sunny.
To the shock of Guman, Saras introduces Dubga to Sunny as the lady who brought him up, while actually Guman is his foster mother. Sunny already knows about Kumud and soon gets to meet her. They bond to some extent, both understanding each other.
Sunny is bringing some amount of excitement into the life of the haveli, and this also promises to bring about some improvement in the overall mood of Saras. That is the quest of Kumud as well.

Hindi TV Serial - Pyaar Ka Dard Hai...Meetha Meetha - The sudden marriage of Rubel and Latika, and pain to Anuj and Sheila

After a time period where the serial showed the stars of Rubel and Sheila Mami being on the ascent, and Avantika and family being out of the Dewan mansion, the serial started showing something reverse. For quite some time, viewers of the serial would already know that the best way that the serial would show an answer would be for Sheila and Anuj to realize the problems that they are facing, since Rubel seems to have taken the values that they have given him to a higher degree. They have no respect for parents and for relatives, so to expect that Rubel would give them respect is foolish, but the serial is now starting to show them facing all these problems. One of the biggest issues for them was when Rubel came to them and told them that he is now engaged to Latika, and since Sheila mami knows exactly what Latika is like, she was horrified. She would be looking for a daughter-in-law who would be docile, who would listen to everything that she was saying.
Now, with Pankhuri in the mansion as a caretaker (appointed by Kaira, since Sheila would never have allowed such a thing), the best way for Sheila and Rubel to get pleasure would be tell the news to Avantika and Aditya that their beloved Pankhuri is now acting as their servant, but Nanaji has put a stop to that. He knows what will pinch them, and has told them that if they are ever responsible for Aditya or Avantika learning this news, he will immediately donate the mansion to a charity and they will not be able to do anything about it, and this will go against their plan.
So, Sheila is now searching for a plan where she can arrange so that Aditya or Avantika can learn the situation about Pankhuri without telling them directly, but so far all her plans are failing. And yet, this is her goal. In the meantime, Aditya and Pankhuri discuss Rubel behaving strangely with the company lawyer, him being very uncomfortable with what Rubel is asking him to do. Pankhuri finally manages to get to his office and sees Rubel there, and threatens him with the name of Nanaji. He reveals that Rubel is looking to get a contract marriage, with the marriage getting dissolved in some time, till they can get the mansion in their name.
Pankhuri and Aditya want to tell this to Nanaji, and Sheila is shocked when she hears of this. She tries to stop them, but they come to the mansion and tell Nanaji, and he is not as shocked, but threatens that he will take action. And then Rubel comes in, having decided to take an action which is drastic, and very shocking to his parents. They were uncomfortable with the engagement, but were told that it was just for a period of time; and now Rubel comes in with Latika, with both of them wearing garlands, and tells everybody that they have got married. Everybody is shocked, and tells them off, but Rubel could not care. Even when his parents confront him in the room, he is very rude, which shocks Anuj, since it is the first time that he sees how Rubel actually is, he is focused towards getting what he wants and could not care for any relations. Latika on the other hand is focused towards her goals, and even while re-assuring Sheila, she is waiting for the day when she gets 50% of the mansion in her name.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Trying to get Ayesha and Sid to marry

The serial has suddenly gone into a very strange mode. For some time now, the serial has shown both Ram and Priya in a mode where they are together and very happy over that part, but otherwise their life was going through strange times. They had lost all their property (or rather it was donated by Ram to Ayesha so that she would walk away from the marriage and leave him free to be back together with Priya). But this also meant that they were no longer rich, could not afford stuff such as spending to send Pihu to a good school, and so on. Further, since they had such a pride, it was difficult for them to accept help from even their closest friends (which was very odd for me, since if I was in such a state, or a friend was in such a state, I would expect that very close friends would be the ones who would help).
And things got even bad after that, since they were now working for a company where their boss was an old enemy Ashwin, who left no chance to get back at them. However, this was soon overcome, since Ashwin did the unexpected step of taking a report that Ram had created and presenting it as his own. Priya has anyhow been shown to be outspoken, so she went in front of a number of investors and pointed out that Ashwin had used Ram's proposal, and this left the investors the knowledge that The Ram Kapoor was in their company. They immediately elevated him to a position where he was the senior of Ashwin, but Ram did not take any revenge back, and rejected his resignation.
On the personal side, Saumya and Natasha had figured out that Ayesha was pregnant even though she tried to throw them off, and soon combined this with the fact that Ayesha was apparently seeing somebody in a nearby chawl. Ram and Priya reached there and found that it was Sid (who was on the run from the police for 5 years). They turned him into the police, but Sid managed to run away from their office. However, Mamaji and he over-played their hand in trying to be clever and decided to seek help from Pihu (also with the thought that the police would not be looking for Sid over there). But, this was seen by Priya, and eventually Ram landed there soon after Pihu; but this time, instead of letting Sid run away, Ram decided to appear in a new leaf and be all brotherly, by telling sid that he would turn him to the police and then get him out on bail. In doing so, Ram wanted to get the trust of Sid and Ayesha, and also wanted to start manipulating events the way he wanted rather than wait for Sid and Ayesha to do as they liked.
So the plan is to ensure that Sid and Ayesha get married, since in a clause in the contract, Ayesha's rights over the property would revert back to Ram if she did get married, even if this was to Sid. But the idea was to get them to do this (and one way was to show to Sid that legal advice for resolving the case would be to show him as a settled family man, and for that, he would need to be married). Sid is not very comfortable with the idea of getting married, which irritates Ayesha.
Also, the serial is showing more happiness in the marriage of Ram and Priya, since she is shown as pregnant, with Ram being the protective husband and even their family trying to ensure that Priya does not exert herself too much.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Kokila in trouble over turmoil created by Urmilla

Ever since Gopi got pregnant, Urmilla has been pining away that this would make Gopi much more sought after in the household and ensure that everybody would pay her all the attention. This would make Rashi's position in the household much less secure, and so Urmila tried a number of her tactics to do something like this or the other. However, none of these tactics worked, and overall, what this has resulted in is that Kokila got further confirmation that Urmila was not somebody whom even Rashi should be in touch with because of all the tactics that Urmila was getting involved in.
The problem with Urmila as shown in the serial relates to her doing whatever she feels is right, which most of time does not work out right. For example, whenever she tries to do something that would increase the rights of Rashi, this would involve some form of deceit, or would involved putting down Gopi in some way. Most of the time, she gets caught and in some cases, Rashi gets involved and then gets caught.
For example, the current situation is pretty dangerous. Rashi is also pregnant, which is a very happy time for the entire household. However, Urmila is now worried that unless Rashi has sons (and she has twins), she will not have rights in the household (although one does not know what she has seen in the Modi household to believe something like this). So, her mission now is to find out whether Rashi has sons or not.
This, as most people will know is impossible in India, since it is illegal to determine whether the children in the womb are girls or boys (given that there is a strong tendency among many people, whether poor or rich, to abort their children if they determine that the baby is a girl). Now, Urmila already knows this, but still wants to go ahead with this plan, but offering money would be by implicating Kokila.
So, when Rashi is coming in for a sonography, Urmila gets a note handed over to the nurse, and the nurse is made to believe that Kokila is the one responsible for this; and things get more confusing when the nurse asks for another sonography so as to determine the sex of the babies and that is when the police come in. They have the hospital under surveillance, and catch the nurse. Under pressure, she states that this was being done by Kokila. The police do not believe a word of what Kokila says, and takes her away inspite of their being no direct evidence against Kokila. The alleged crime is a non-bailable crime, and hence it is getting difficult to get her out of this one.
Urmila is looking scared now, but since it is Kokila who is under the police custody, there is no real reason for her to worry; although sooner or later they are going to determine that Kokila was not the one responsible, and maybe Urmila will come under the scanner.

Hindi TV Serial - Pyaar Ka Dard Hai...Meetha Meetha - Aditya leaves the house after Nanaji asks him to go

The serial is going through a strange set of circumstances. Sheela is so focused on getting everything with herself that she is willing to do whatever is required to push everybody else out of the house. They played upon Avantika's mood for ensuring that the family is reconciled, and ended up passing over all powers to Anuj; including the power of attorney and the right to take all decisions. However, this is not enough for Sheela, since she wants to ensure that Avantika is pushed out of the house and Sheela has exclusive rights of the house.
Anuj learns that the house is willed to the wives of Aditya and Rubel, and she is not happy enough with this; she wants to ensure that the entire house is handed over to Rubel, and for that, she is even willing to try and break the marriage of Aditya and Pankhuri. So, when Aditya and Pankhuri start their drama of acting like they are fighting (and blaming the bad condition of  the marriage of Avantika and Harish), Sheela is very happy since she believes that she can leverage on this condition and finally get them separated. However, she is very distressed when she learns that both Aditya and Pankhuri were just doing a drama and they called off the drama after the party (where Harish was hospitalized, and then finally Avantika learned about the medical illness, and about how Harish had not moved on, just did not want to tell her about this condition which could have ended his life in a short time).
However, things get more problematic. Sheela is trying to figure out more plans for how to get them all out of the house so that she can take control of the house. She starts another master plan, and this one is one where she also needs the cooperation of Latika as well. The plan is to happen in the party where Avantika is doing all the cooking, with the party happening in Harish's house. During the middle of some games, Latika moves out of the area and then Aditya gets a call. The reception is not clear and he moves to another room to take the call, and also closes the door because of the noise in the party.
Then everybody hears a scream, and Rubel rushes in and sees Latika on the bed and Aditya in the room and accuses Aditya of making designs on his fiancee, since Aditya has never forgotten her. This discussion and argument continues on in Diwan mansion, where Rubel says that he will break the marriage since he cannot trust when both Aditya and Latika are in the same house. He says that he wants Nanaji to take a decision on this one, and then Nanaki takes a most surprising decision. Probably since Nanaji knows the true nature of both Sheela and Rubel, he tells Aditya that he should leave for his dad's house and not stay here anymore.
Aditya is shocked and cannot understand what is happening, and how can his Nana suddenly call this house not his house any more. In his anger, he tells Pankhuri to quickly pack so that they can leave immediately, and when Pretti mousi tries to object, he does not listen.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - More twists in the serial with Mohit and Emily

The serial is planning to take its viewers through more twists and turns; now, even though they do show most of the conservative elements of Indian society in some way, the serial does show changes brought forward in this society due to education, and due to sheer persistence. The serial has been criticized in some aspects because of the sheer conservatism of the family and the reluctance of the educated daughter-in-law of the family to significantly object to some of these customs - instead she does oppose them but not in a direct way; instead the show shows her trying to use slow processes, but based on logic and reasoning to make these changes, backed solidly by her husband (one wonders how this would have turned out if the husband, Suraj, had not been supportive of these changes but had instead been as conservative as anybody else).
After the expose of the Swami, Sandhya gains more respect due to the logic and reasoning she used to expose the Swami and his plans of usurping land by building a mall in the region. The expose of the miracles done by the Swami meant that people understood how those miracles were happening and also ensured that the trouble that her family was going through finally disappeared, and that her family was able to hold up its head in society again (there was a time when the efforts by the Swami meant that her family was being exposed to actual physical harm).
Now, one of the byproducts of the effort done by Sandhya was that Bhabho ensured that she would be able to go to college in the day instead of in the evening / night (the family was surprised when a letter announcing her admission in the college came, and even more when it was revealed that it was Bhabho who had caused this to happen). Meenakshi was very surprised since this meant that there was more affection between Bhabho and Sandhya, and the possibility of Bhabho getting angry and kicking Sandhya out of the house had reduced for now (till the time that the serial wants more masala in the serial).
The next major problem in the serial will come to challenge Bhabho's belief in no cross-caste or cross-religion marriage, since she will find that her own son is involved in a relationship with a Christian girl, a shocker for sure. Meenakshi will discover that Mohit is in a relation with Emily, and her nosy nature will lead her to learn that Emily is actually pregnant with Mohit's child, which will be a shocker for Bhabho in more than one way. What will Bhabho do now ? Or will Mohit actually get married to Emily and then present Bhabho with a decision already taken.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - More drama in the house as Rashi under pressure

Saathiya is a never ending quest of the problems caused by Rashi (orchestrated by her mother Urmila) in order for Rashi to gain an upper hand in the household, or for some other reason, and the problems that arise when such items are exposed. So, Rashi is already struggling with the issue about her son and the mother of the son, and hoping that she does not get exposed to the harsh words of Kokila, who knows about the problems caused by Urmila and Rashi, and who fears about what further problems these 2 people might do in the household.
This is a never ending problem, and the entire household can get affected sometimes, although most of the household is not fully aware of what all Rashi is upto (there was only once when Rashi was caught and was only taken back in the house after a lot of struggle and drama). In the current set of episodes, there are small cases that seek to strike Rashi (again most of them her own doing).
There is supposed to be a donation that the household is making to the goddess for Meera, and Rashi has been asked to donate her necklace; something that she has no option but to agree to, but she does not like making this donation. So Rashi and Urmila decide that they will donate a fake necklace, passing that off as the real thing when the real necklace will remain with Rashi. So, even though Rashi is worried about how this will happen, Urmila gets a fake necklace made, and gets into the Modi household through a ladder, gaining access to the window of Rashi's room and coming inside. And soon after, as you would suspect, Kokila also makes her way there, and even though Urmila has hid under the bed, she sees the door of the almirah open and the necklace outside, and when Rashi says that the locker door is not working, she takes the necklace.
At this, Urmila instructs Rashi to get the necklace back from Kokila's room, something that Rashi is able to do later by going into Kokila's room and then sending Kokila to get a cloth from outside.
However, at the next day, all this goes to waste since Gopi is in her room, and seeing the necklace and knowing that Rashi has agreed to give it to the goddess, Gopi picks up the original confusion. In the confusion, Rashi does not realize that this is the original necklace and is shocked when she sees the necklace getting donated. However, Urmila decides that she will get it back.
In another incident, Kokila has asked Rashi to make kheer for some guests, and when Rashi is making the kheer and grumbling about the work, she spills most of the milk and adds water to make up the difference. However, the guests notice that the kheer is not good and point it out; and then Rashi defends herself saying that the milkman is now giving watered milk. He defends himself, but is still dismissed by Kokila. The man strikes back by organizing a milk boycott of the Modi household, and they get a cow to get milk from. And guess what, the cow only lets Rashi come near her, which means the duty of getting milk from the cow now comes to Rashi.

Hindi TV Serial - Punar Vivah - Yash finds out the truth about Akash

More twists and turns in the serial. Aarti, who has an insatiable curiosity for learning all about everything now wanted to find out what was the deal with Radha. After all, Radha and Aakash had made the accusation that it was SP who was the father of Aakash, something that had shocked the entire household. They were all very angry at the accusation and wanted to retaliate against Radha and Aakash. Then, to prove things, a DNA test was conducted to determine whether SP was indeed the father of Akash. Now he knew that he was the father, that he had made Radha pregnant many decades back, but could not let the people in the house and his family know his secret, so SP decided to jettison all his principles and change the report. He managed to ensure that a fake report would be delivered to everybody, while he would get the true report which he could destroy.
But when Aarti spoke to Radha, she learnt that the truth was even greater; it was Radha who had changed the babies so that it was actually her child who was living in the house with the name of Yash, and Akash was actually the son of the legal married wife of SP, the son of Gayathri. Aarti was shocked to hear all this, but she was also unsure about what to do; this was such a big secret that could shake the entire household.
In the meantime, the fake DNA report was revealed, and everybody started humiliating Radha and Akash. In fact, black color and a garland of shoes was brought so that these could be applied on Akash for making such an accusation. Yash was hesitant about doing something like this, and just applied a small amount of black color on the forehead of Akash, but his brother did the rest, liberally smearing the whole face with black color as a form of humiliation. In the meantime, Yash could see smoke coming from his parents room, this smoke being the burning true DNA report. While putting out the fire, Yash finally saw the true report and was shocked. He had a discussion with Aarthi where he told her that he will not reveal the truth to everybody, he cannot stand the humiliation it will cause to his family members. Aarti reminded him about his principles, but he stated that he cannot humiliate his family members just because of his principles, and refused to reveal the truth. Aarti was very uncomfortable with this, and was not sure how to reconcile this with the more shocking truth that he knew now.
