Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Ram manages to win court case, get back property, but not Kush

The serial has suddenly reached a point where the story of Ayesha seems to have been done for now. Ever since Ram had handed over his share of the property to Ayesha when he wanted to end the relationship, she had taken on a high air. She took over control of the property, took over control of the house and the business and then decided what would happen in the house. And she became very arrogant. Even though Ram told her many times that he had just handed over his part of the property and that the rest of the family continued to hold their share, she refused to listen and assumed that she had full control of the house. She refused to let family members enter the business, and after a confrontation when there were some business visitors in the house, she got angry and kicked everybody out of the house. This made Ram very angry since she kicked them all out, including the elders, in the middle of the night without worrying over where they would go.
At the same time, Ram was having problems of his own. He had setup a business in Jaipur, but after rain ruined his end delivery, he was back to square one and then decided to come back to Mumbai after Vikram pushed him to do the same. He and Priya took jobs, but this was not the same thing. Eventually, there was a desire to ensure that Ayesha does not continue to be so arrogant, and that it was time to get everything back from her. He had even scared Ayesha once by telling her that since he had given her everything easily, he could take it back. Even though Ayesha knew that was not so easy, she did get scared. Sid on the other hand kept on helping her, while double-crossing her with other girls at the same time.
Finally, the serial pushed the part in the contract which revealed that if Ayesha decided to get married again, the property would revert back to Ram. So, the aim was to push both Sid and Ayesha for the wedding, pushing the reason that this would help Sid in his quest to show himself as a respectable family man by being married and having a kid. However, after a lot of drama, Ayesha called off the marriage at the last minute by telling everyone that she knew what was going on, and that she knew about the details in the contract as well, and it seemed like Ayesha had out-smarted everyone.
And then a miracle. Sid wanted to turn a new leaf, and called Ram to the jail. There he told Ram that Sid and Ayesha were already married, at a temple when they were drunk, and this was registered in the temple records and there was a witness. This would be good enough to get back the property. So, now the quest is to find the temple records and the witness. There are some obstacles, since they don't know the exact date, and the witness address is not clear. However, they finally manage to find the records and also the witness, who is a pregnant lady with 7th month of pregnancy. She agrees to be a witness although the temple priest turns when Ayesha offers him money.
When they are heading to court, the lady goes into labour and Priya and Neha rush her to hospital. In the meantime, the court gives them 1 hour to find a witness and more proof, and then Priya comes in. She has got a phone with photos and also the recorded testimony of the witness. And the ground falls below Ayesha's feet since the court threatens the temple priest. He turns and tells the truth and then declares that the marriage did happen and everything is now back in Ram's name. However, Ayesha wants to take Kush away, which does shock Ram and the others.

Hindi TV Serial - Pavitra Rishta - Onir in deep trouble, his medical license cancelled by the court

Hindi Serials typically follow a principle where if you are doing a good deed, then you are in deep trouble. People don't understand what you are doing, and the makers of the serial believe that the serial succeeds only when they show deep pain, when they show people struggling, and so on. So it goes in this serial. The name of the serial is nothing like the nature of the relationships anymore. The name of the serial depicts a sacred relationship, while the relationships shown in the serial are mostly very much on the other side of sacred. There is a man forced to marry one girl while he loves another girl, and it turned out that he has a physical relationship with another girl, and now he is going to have children with both of them. The child he was having with his wife dies, and so the other girl decides to hand over her child to them, but without telling them that she is doing this. A son-in-law of the family is running an organ stealing racket and gets into a dispute with them, and then sees CCTV footage of the baby swap and figures out that he can use this to get his revenge. And so on .. this is what all that is happening in Pavitra Rishta. Maybe time for this serial to come to an end ?
Ever since Ovi learnt that the child was actually Arjun's and Purvi's and told everybody about the same, she was shocked and decided to leave Arjun (why she could not do this earlier when she knew about the intense love between Arjun and Purvi earlier is not clear). She now refuses to come back.
On the other hand, the revelation about the movement of Pari to Ovi had brought problems back to Onir and Purvi, and they are now embroiled in a court case about the same. Mittal, who badly wants his revenge, has decided to use this to get back his honor and prestige and gets Onir into a court case for the same. Soham is now defending Onir, but realizes that for this, he needs to get Arjun to come to court and defend whatever Onir had done, and this would make a deep impact on the case.
Arjun agrees, but is unable to get to court quickly enough, and the case gets decided by the judge, who orders that the decision of the court is to cancel the medical license of Onir for all time. This is a big shock for Onir, although Purvi is standing by Onir all the time. Mittal and Punni are happy over what happens and Manju blames Onir for whatever has happened although Sulochana still stands up for her. Manav is confused about whom to support, since he had also promised Purvi that she could call on him like a real father.

Hindi TV Serial - Punar Vivah - Aarti and Yash get custody of Ansh

It was very strange seeing the recent episodes of the serial. On the one hand, there is a lot of debate ongoing about the rights of women and there are frequent discussions in the media about the rights of mother vis-a-vis the rights of the father, and then you have such strange things being shown in the serial. For some time now, after Prashant was shown as having recovered from his illness, he became warped, determined to get his wife and child back, not accounting for the fact that he was the one who had left them some time back. So, he ties up with a taiji (who is old fashioned, does not believe that there is such a thing such as a divorce, and who cannot understand why Prashant cannot just go and take Aarti, and how Aarti can be with anyone else once she has got married to Prashant, who is after all the owner of Aarti).
So, it takes some time for these series of episodes to end, with finally the Taiji and Prashant marching into Yash's house and demanding that Aarti come back. They are dispatched and sent back, but one outcome of this is that it is now revealed that Aarti is a divorcee and not a widower, which is a violation since Yash's family were told that she was a widower. There is a lot of anger, and they try to pick Aarti out of the house, but Yash comes in and takes her, although they are now separated from Yash's parents.
So, now Yash's parents are very angry about this state of affairs, and his father wants to get Aarti out of his life, and so is willing to do whatever it takes. Prashant once comes to meet Ansh in his school, and tries to fill his mind with a lot of stuff about Aarti and Yash, but this leads to a confrontation with Aarti (who slaps Prashant) and then with Yash, who knocks Prashant to the ground. Prashant is very angry and wants revenge, and decides to a file a custody case for Ansh, supported financially by Yash's father.
In the court case, the judge decides to act very strangely, since he treats this as a custody case between Yash and Prashant, one the step-father, the other the biological father instead of taking the normal case of the mother of a young child getting the priority. Finally, since he is not able to decide, there is a wacky scheme whereby both Yash and Prashant are to dress up in animal outfits and Ansh has to decide (totally weird). Finally, after some more drama, Ansh's custody is given to Yash and Prashant swears to continue to make their life miserable.

Hindi TV Serial - Pratigya - Tanmay finally admits his guilt in court

The court case has been ongoing now, with a shocker in the end when Krishna was convicted of the crime. However, based on the ongoing investigation where Adarsh's phone was located in the house, located with Tanmay, the investigation was given a fresh boost and the case was re-opened (however, not being a lawyer, I was not sure as to how the case was re-opened in the same court after a judgment was given). Now, the case is also trying to put Tanmay in the dock even though he is not an accused, and wonder whether all this can actually happen in a murder case.
There is some evidence against Tanmay, and he is also jailed. And then Pratigya comes to meet him and shows him a long twisted key chain, the same one which was used to strangle Adarsh. Further, the pathologist who gives the wrong blood report is called to court after being arrested and Komal's stolen jewellery is also found with him, further adding to the list of suspicions against Tanmay.
And then the finale where the defense lawyer presents the key chain which he claims is the weapon used to kill Adarsh, and Tanmay denies that this is his key chain, and then blurts out that the actual key chain was burnt, which is an admission of guilt.

Hindi TV Serial - Parichay - Rohit gets his men to kidnap Siddhi, although by mistake

The whole incident of the CD at the party where the CD would show Richa mixing something in the drink that she gave to Kunal is leading to something more. The CD would reverse the current status of the case, since it would show that Richa was upto something, and hence Thakral and his family was very eager to get it. Rohit emotionally blackmailed Raveena to get the CD, and she did. However, when she gave it to Rohit, she heard soon after that it was actually a ploy by Rohit to ensure that Kunal would suffer in the court case, and that Rohit was actually just using her to get his revenge on Kunal and Siddhi. Already she was a bit apprehensive about meeting Rohit like this, and hence when she heard this, she realized that she was doing wrong, and she managed to get the CD back. When Rohit, Richa and Thakral were looking for the CD, they realized it was missing and it was important to get it back.
So, Rohit decided to play his game in this one. He got his men together, and asked them to ensure that they took the CD from Siddhi when she was at the lab to get the CD verification (in order to ensure that the court accepted that the CD was genuine). When his men intercepted Siddhi at the lab, they realized that the CD was not in her purse, and also, she made a lot of noise, to the extent that they kidnapped her and too her with them in their car and back to their hideout.
Now, Thakral is worried, also because Kunal came to confront him over this kidnapping. He was worried about both his children doing all sort of wayward things, such as this kidnapping; he was also fearful of what will happen when Siddhi gets free, since she is a lawyer and her husband Kunal also has a very high temper. In the meantime, Siddhi has got to know that it was Rohit behind her kidnapping, and threatens him that she will make his life hell when she gets out; enough to make him very scared of what has happened.

Hindi TV Serial - Parichay - The case against Kunal for attempted rape of Richa

The situation between Kunal and Siddhi was getting a bit tense, since Kunal had come to the conclusion that his marrying Siddhi was something that was wrong, and it would not be right for him to be married to his dead brother's fiancee. Given the way he is, Siddhi knows that it is not right for her to openly oppose, so she manipulates things such that the judge says that they need to spend 6 months together to re-think about the divorce plans, and thus Siddhi gets what she wants. And she deftly manages to blame Kunal for what the judge said.
At the same time, Richa, in response to a challenge from Siddhi, claims that Kunal is only hers and decides to trap him in a situation where he will have no option to come to her and drop Siddhi. So, in a party, she manages to put something in his drink, and after some time, she believes that what she is trying to do is getting done, since she also manages to take him to her room. Siddhi is following them, and is devastated when she sees that Kunal is hugging Richa, and feels that she has lost. However, this is because Kunal believes that it is Siddhi with him, and then conveys to Richa that she is a closed chapter for him, and he is only for Siddhi.
Soon after, a devastated Richa decides on her revenge, and tells her father Thakral that Kunal in fact tried to rape her, and, since Thakral hates Kunal, he comes to their house along with police and gets him arrested for attempted rape. Kunal, after getting bail, decides to fight his own case although Siddhi is worried about what will happen. In the first set of combat in the court, Kunal gets the better of Richa by reciting the story of what happened (atleast from the perspective of Richa), then denies everything and tells Thakral to prove this story. It is seen as a good tactic, and Kunal waits for Siddhi to praise these legal skills of hers.

Hindi TV Serial - Adalat - The story of the Indian lawyer who is always successful

Typically, the hero in serials is a guy who is totally honest, dedicated to his values, and overall a very good guy. However, when you make a lawyer as the hero, who needs to defend his clients, defeat a tight case from the prosecution side, and overall be successful, then the lawyer will need to take some liberties with honesty in order to win cases.
And here you have Ronit Roy in the role of KD Pathak (the full form of the KD remains a mystery, and when somebody asks him, he refuses to explain the full form of the name). Actually, KD Pathak is almost a super-hero. He does not have a detailed investigation firm, he does not keep running from place to place to investigate, and he does not have any super-human strength. And yet, when he takes cases (and he only takes cases where his clients have been accused of a murder charge, and the police seem to have a case where the client is in a difficult condition), he remains convinced that his client is innocent and keep on lawyering and investigating until he manages to get the actually guilty person to confess their crime (typically in court, but sometimes once in a while outside the court).
So, every episode, you have a person caught in a crime scene where the circumstances and situation make the accused seem guilty, and then KD Pathak gets into the act. He starts getting into the courtroom, trying to reveal which witnesses are lying, which ones are hiding something, and sometimes the witness may know something that is significant. Once in a while, KD gets into danger, and once he was even buried alive in a grave and was rescued just in the nick of time.
