Most serials in the Indian Hindi TV industry start planning for a leap when they see viewer attention flagging, and need to bring in some fresh blood and some changes to the storyline. Bhagyavidhaata, which started as a serial that showcases the challenges faced due to the situation in Bihar where eligible bachelors are kidnapped and married by force, and the problems faced in such relationships, where the bride is not accepted by the family.
The serial however, soon settled into the familiar rut of the conflicts and controversies in a family, especially when members of the family can get into a conspiring mode. So, even though the relationship between Bindiya and Vinay settled down after some period of tension and hostility, the acceptance by other members of the household was much more difficult.
And now, the serial has gone in for the next step of Hindi Serials, which is the concept of a time leap. So, the serial is set to do a 15 year time leap, with Vinay having already died in the serial (since he refused to act in the show as a middle aged man, having aged 15 years); some other characters such as Poonam will also be in the show. In addition, Raja has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder, and there is a huge amount of tension since everybody blames Bindiya for the situation leading to the murder of Vinay.
Bindiya is also pregnant, so the 15 year time leap will ensure that the next round of conflict will be over this child, since the child is apparently being taken away by Vinay's brother and bhabhi, and Bindiya is fighting this.

Hindi TV Serial - Bhagyavidhata on Colors - Raja and Rekha in trouble and running, and then Rekha loses her baby
Raja and Rekha are in trouble, all due to the actions of Punpunwali who is trying to implicate him. They land up in trouble, and start running away from Praful, but get caught up by them. Raja gets caught while Rekha manages to run away, but in the running away, she falls and like any other hindi serial, she hits her belly on the rock, and then loses her child, screaming in pain as she does so.
And somehow they get free and go to the house, where everybody is worried about what is happening to them, especially about Rekha. Raja is very angry and blames Punpunwali for everything that happens; she is shocked at this and claims that she is not responsible for anything, given that she was in the house all the time; actually it is Raja's doing and Punpunwali is not responsible.
Raja in turn calls Mamaji who brings in Praful, and then Mamaji claims that he was just in time to save Raja and Rekha from the goons who had caught them.
However, Punpunwali is able to indicate to Praful to keep quiet, especially when Akhilesh was trying to get information from Praful about the truth, and Praful claims that it was actually Raja who had called Pappu's man and that something seems to have gone wrong on that side. Rekha was unconscious, but then gets up, screams at Praful to not lie, and then again falls down.

Bindiya Chastises Vinay for all his pretence! - Bhagyavidhata on Colors
Bindiya speaks out against Vinay for the first time. Bravo girl! It is indeed heartening to see women dismantling the pedestal meant for their husbands to stand on and rule from. For long women have been at the receiving end of unfair often inhuman treatment from men-be it their fathers, brothers, husbands, sons or other near and dear ones. Culturally forbidden to speak out, tutored and socialized from a young age to hold one’s tongue, women have generally not had the words or the voice to say the simple words “Stop it for it is wrong”. But slowly things are changing with more and more women learning to stand up to their male tormentors. Bindiya speaking out against her husband is an example of this act of emancipation.
Married to Vinay at gun point she has been disliked by her husband from day one as she is a constant reminder to him of his own weakness. Resilient and immensely strong, she has born all his acts of hostility with tremendous patience and fortitude. However the past few weeks her husband has shown considerable thaw in his attitude. He has taken care of her, protected her from unsavoury elements, enjoyed a game of badminton with her and even shared a bowl of rice pudding with her. Overjoyed at this change, Bindiya has been sporting a shy smile through out.
The family decides to celebrate Bindiya and Vinay’s first marriage anniversary by throwing a grand party. Much to her delight Vinay agrees readily and even buys her a beautiful saree. A happy and resplendent Bindiya is convinced that Vinay too has started to develop tender feelings for her. However her hopes come crashing down when she overhears Vinay tell a group of his friends that he is pretending to like Bindiya only to keep his parents and relatives happy. In reality he has not forgotten the shame he experienced on the day of his marriage and given that, he will never be able to accept Bindiya as his wife.
A heartbroken Bindiya is devastated and so when Vinay asks her whether she has liked his gift, she lashes out. She asks him to stop pretending and tells him that she knows the truth. She tells him that he is a coward for playing with her emotions and those of his family members. Her words are intelligent and use reason rather than emotions. She asserts herself as a human being for the first time by telling her errant husband that he is wrong. Unfortunately the scene turns out to be a thought bubble. But at least she took the first step and confronted her cad of a husband in her thoughts. As they say actions follow thoughts; maybe some day in the near future Bindiya will truly say out to loud to Vinay “Shame on you!”

Good times ahead for Bindiya ?" - Bhagyavidhata (Colors)
Things are finally looking up for Bindiya, female lead of Bhagyavidhata (Colors). Married off to her husband (Vinay) at gun point, she has been at the receiving of his hatred. Initially the rest of the family too were against her. They refused to accept her and she was made to sleep in the cowshed. Bindiya however is determined to make people accept and like her. Her perseverance, her soft demeanour, her silent but large actions help the family members to realise her worth. Initially it is her elder brother-in-law and an aunt-in-law who are willing to give her a chance and take her side. Things take a turn for the better when a double marriage takes place between Bindiya’s paternal and marital family. Her younger sister (Poonam) marries her elder brother-in-law (Bimlesh); while her brother (Raja) marries her husband’s cousin sister (Rekha).
However Vinay, Bindiya’s husband still refuses to accept her as his wife. It is then the turn of her eldest brother-in-law (Akhilesh) to discover the goodness in Bindiya. She is able to turn this individual who was against her into a staunch ally. He in fact goes against his wife (Punpunwali) in order to stand up for Bindiya. Her grandmother-in-law also won over by her simplicity and dedication forces Vinay to make room for Bindiya in their bedroom. In another turn of events she is able to protect the family from the evil designs of a wicked Uncle-in-law, Umashankar, by warning off her brothers-in-law of his true intentions. Vinay grudgingly accepts Bindiya’s well meaning actions and there is the slightest bit of thaw evident in his manner.
Bindiya’s eldest sister-in-law wants Vinay to marry her own younger sister and to that end has been making life miserable for our lead. On the pretext of a visit to a fair, she tries to bring her sister and Vinay together. But this plan backfires in a major way. While taking a short cut through a jungle, the foursome is attacked by two small time robbers. Bindiya hands over all her jewellery, except her Mangalsutra, the sacred thread of a married woman. She is physically assaulted by the robber but is unwilling to let go of something that is of immense significance to her and of immense insignificance to her husband. This action of hers forces Vinay to take a true look at her. For the first time, the husband wife duo is forced to act as a team, to be together. All of this helps Vinay to observe Bindiya from close quarters and revaluate his decision. Whether this is the beginning of good times for the lead pair of Bhagyavidhata only time will tell. But at least it is a step in the right and happy direction for the viewers.

Bhagyavidhaata serial on Colors - The marriage happens again
Bhagyavidhaata reached a critical phase. The Sinha family wants to get rid of their unwanted daughter-in-law, but is afraid of what her brother (the man who wields force and guns) will do, and hence comes to a plan whereby Vinay Sinha will leave the house instead of asking Bindiya to leave the house; the idea being that when their son is not in the house and not traceable, they can ask Bindiya to also go back to her house.
However, this plan is not to be, since Bindiya's brother finds out about this plan, and reaches their house with his men, and starts threatening the Sinha household again, and it is clear that the plan for Vinay to go away has failed. It is now that Vinay takes a decision to finally accept Bindiya (till now he has not accepted her, and humiliates her on every opportunity).
Vinay declares to his family that he will accept Bindiya and marry her again, so that his family will be forced to accept that Bindiya is now the proper daughter-in-law and will have no reason not to accept her anymore; they can no longer look for a way to get rid of her. He asks for both sets of parents to be there, and then marries Bindiya formally.

Bhagyavidhaata serial on Colors
Serials nowadays are trying to be more socially conscious, a number of them saw how the previously popular saas-bahu serials started losing attention, and then saw how a serial such as Ballika Vadhu that takes a social issue can become very popular, and so a number of serials have jumped onto the same league of having socially active serials. So there are serials dealing with child marriage, dealing with the condition of poor in society, dealing with caste differences, and so on.
So, Colors has very recently launched another serial called, "Sabki Jodi Wohi Banaata… Bhagyavidhaata", and the motif of the serial is about, how in Bihar's lopsided society, the difficulty of getting a poor and average looking girl married off is so difficult that people came up with the idea of getting their girls married off by force, through kidnapping the groom, and under the pressure of force, getting him married to their girl. It is not so however for the girl after that, since her in-laws would not readily accept her (after all, if they were looking for nice dowry, then they would feel cheated, and since it is assumed that the boy's side has an upper hand, getting the boy married by force would not appeal).
And so it is in the case of Bindiya, who is an educated girl with morals and values, but is from a not so well off family, and who is average looking. Her brother, using force, kidnaps a valued boy, and gets her married off to this boy, who is not able to forcefully resist because of the guns all around him. However, since he does not feel any relation to her, and because the rest of his household (except for his elder brother) do not like the situation other, they ill-treat her, making her do all the work in the house. Her elder sister-in-law (the elder bahu of the house), in fact, screams at her all the time and otherwise also makes her do all the work of the house. Even her father is not treated well when he comes to their house. However, what will happen now ? Will she ever get proper treatment from a household that feels that they were forced into doing something ?
