Hindi TV Serial - Kua Hua Tera Vada - the confusion over Madhav, Jatin and Taani

Things can get very complicated in very little time. There is a boy coming to see Taani (the introduction of Hiten into the serial), but Taani in the meantime is meeting Madhav, her boyfriend, who is also there with his parents (and who are old family friends of the family). And then Mona is also present in the house, even though her connection with the family is through her marriage with Pradeep, but her inlaws treat her like a daughter. And then Mona is the only one who knows about the relationship between Taani and Madhav. And Madhav is the same guy who was rejected by Taani some time back when his parents had taken his proposal for Taani.
And so, in the confusion, Jatin (played by Hiten) finally goes back after the truth about Taani and Madhav is known; there is an attempt to criticize the role played by Mona in all this (since she is the only one who knows about the relationship between Taani and Madhav), and her inlaws are not very happy about her role, but Mona finally explains everything including why she was unable to tell them anything and asks them to go to Madhav's house taking the proposal.
However, at Madhav's house, things turn upside down when after some persuasion from Taani's parents, Madhav declares that he was never in love with Taani, instead she was helping him with meeting her friend. Taani, and also Mona are shocked at this turnaround of Madhav, and they all leave from there; outside when they meet Madhav, he tells them he was very insulted when Taani refused him, and wanted to take his revenge, and as a part of that, he also promised a job to Mona when she needed one.

Hindi TV Serial - Kya Hua Tera Vaada - Becoming somewhat farcial

The serial moves between the serious and the stupid / comical. You have a serial that is pushed on a very serious issue, whereby a man is seduced and walks off from a decade old relationship with his wife, and at the end, does not feel the least bit wrong about it, and even blames everybody in his life for the same. The wife seemingly accepts it, but her plan (and that of her mother-in-law) is to show the husband how he is wrong, and will eventually lead to his coming back to his wife.
So there is a court case for divorce, where his wife pushes the children onto him, and then his mother makes up with him so that she can create differences between the new couple and the old one. When the wife goes to her sister-in-law for a job, she makes an excuse and then refuses to offer the job, since she knows which side she should take, and starts sucking up to the new relation.
And then the comedy happens. The mother-in-law decides that one way to do this is to get the new girlfriend to take part in a local cake baking contest, and there starts a contest where the good wife is bested due to trickery (in the meantime, the smart children get caught and are sentenced to a boarding school by a very angry father). The scheming sister-in-law decides that she should do more to get closer to the rich new girlfriend and tells about how the mother-in-law is committing fraud.

Hindi TV Serials - Kya Huaa Teraa Vaada - The problems and distances faced by a young couple

This is a relatively new serial on Sony TV, which has been given the lucrative 10 PM slot. The serial started on January 30th, 2012. The serial stars the experienced Mona Singh, alongwith Pawan Shankar (screen name being Pradeep Singh; Mona Singh's name is the same in the serial). The couple live in Mumbai as a normal middle class couple, where Pradeep works in a company (with the usual politics in the company, where he works and his boss takes the credit, and he is looking for a promotion). They are just about ok financially, not well off, with having to save up for special occasions and feeling the pinch of raising 3 kids.
Things come to a head when Pradeep gets fired from his job, instead of the promotion that he was hoping for. However, things start changing once the company gets a new boss, a dynamic lady called Anushka Shankar (played by Mauli Ganguly). It takes some time for Pradeep to recognize her as his former friend from college, somebody who he was ready to marry, but she needed more time since she was ambitious and wanted to build up a career of her own. So, the marriage never happens and then Pradeep marries Mona and builds up a family with her.
However, Anushka notices Pradeep when he has come to pick up his stuff, and calls him back to the job, kicks out his former boss who used to take credit for the work done by Pradeep, and overall boosts up his prestige. At the same time, Pradeep makes a critical mistake when he tells Mona about his boss, but neglects to tell her that this was the same lady to whom he had almost got married. And soon after, Anushka decides that it was a mistake to have not married pradeep earlier and she wants him now; this will cause huge problems in the marriage of Pradeep and Mona.
Even otherwise, there are some tensions in the marriage, since Pradeep believes that Mona no longer gives him as much attention as earlier, probably due to taking care of the children and the house, something which is necessary, but which irritates Pradeep.
