Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Gopi trying to tell Kokila the truth about what happened in hospital

The attempt by Urmila to know the sex of the twins that are there in Rashi's womb back-fired badly. Urmila wanted to ensure that they were sons so that Rashi would have a high position in the house (the serial did not mention about what would happen if they were girls, since I don't believe the Modi household as shown in the serial would try to get rid of a girl child, especially since Meera is well loved as the child of Ahem and Gopi. However, the police had an eye on the hospital and was listening to phone conversations, and tracked the nurse who was willing to reveal the details of the sex of the child. They came to the hospital to arrest the nurse, and when she was being arrested, the nurse thought that this sex-determination was being asked for by Kokila, and hence she named Kokila. Kokila protested her innocence, but was arrested by the police and taken to jail. Gopi knew about what was happening and threatened that she would reveal everything unless Kokila was taken out of jail, and this was an assertive manner that Gopi is not known for. Even though Urmi tried to put pressure on her, Gopi refused to back down and told Urmila that she will tell the truth to Kokila, since Kokila did not deserve to be in jail for even a second.
Urmila is very scared; already Kokila has a very low opinion of her, and if Kokila were to find out that Urmila was trying to do a sex determination test and was the reason for Kokila to land up in jail, Urmila would land up in severe trouble. So Urmi is trying her best to do a situation whereby Kokila thinks good of her and Gopi does not tell the truth. Urmila at the moment is in a slightly positive situation because she did a drama at the police station, getting the police inspector in a web whereby he was finally forced to reveal Kokila, and hence Kokila is grateful to Urmila. But this would not last if Kokila was to find out that Urmi was the one behind all this.
Urmila decides to invite the Modi household to her house for a Holi party, and before that, asks both Gopi and Rashi to spend the night there before. When they reach there, Rashi is very surprised that Urmila is asking Rashi to do all the work and favoring Gopi; this was so different from what happens normally that Rashi even checks whether Urmila is fine.
During the party, when Gopi tries to take Kokila aside to tell her everything, Urmila keeps on interrupting and preventing Gopi from having that discussion with Kokila. And then when Gopi keeds Laddus, Urmila adds bhang to these laddus and kokila eats one and so does Urmila. Kokila prevents anybody else from eating those laddus, but both Kokila and Urmila are now high.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Kokila in trouble over turmoil created by Urmilla

Ever since Gopi got pregnant, Urmilla has been pining away that this would make Gopi much more sought after in the household and ensure that everybody would pay her all the attention. This would make Rashi's position in the household much less secure, and so Urmila tried a number of her tactics to do something like this or the other. However, none of these tactics worked, and overall, what this has resulted in is that Kokila got further confirmation that Urmila was not somebody whom even Rashi should be in touch with because of all the tactics that Urmila was getting involved in.
The problem with Urmila as shown in the serial relates to her doing whatever she feels is right, which most of time does not work out right. For example, whenever she tries to do something that would increase the rights of Rashi, this would involve some form of deceit, or would involved putting down Gopi in some way. Most of the time, she gets caught and in some cases, Rashi gets involved and then gets caught.
For example, the current situation is pretty dangerous. Rashi is also pregnant, which is a very happy time for the entire household. However, Urmila is now worried that unless Rashi has sons (and she has twins), she will not have rights in the household (although one does not know what she has seen in the Modi household to believe something like this). So, her mission now is to find out whether Rashi has sons or not.
This, as most people will know is impossible in India, since it is illegal to determine whether the children in the womb are girls or boys (given that there is a strong tendency among many people, whether poor or rich, to abort their children if they determine that the baby is a girl). Now, Urmila already knows this, but still wants to go ahead with this plan, but offering money would be by implicating Kokila.
So, when Rashi is coming in for a sonography, Urmila gets a note handed over to the nurse, and the nurse is made to believe that Kokila is the one responsible for this; and things get more confusing when the nurse asks for another sonography so as to determine the sex of the babies and that is when the police come in. They have the hospital under surveillance, and catch the nurse. Under pressure, she states that this was being done by Kokila. The police do not believe a word of what Kokila says, and takes her away inspite of their being no direct evidence against Kokila. The alleged crime is a non-bailable crime, and hence it is getting difficult to get her out of this one.
Urmila is looking scared now, but since it is Kokila who is under the police custody, there is no real reason for her to worry; although sooner or later they are going to determine that Kokila was not the one responsible, and maybe Urmila will come under the scanner.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - More drama in the house as Rashi under pressure

Saathiya is a never ending quest of the problems caused by Rashi (orchestrated by her mother Urmila) in order for Rashi to gain an upper hand in the household, or for some other reason, and the problems that arise when such items are exposed. So, Rashi is already struggling with the issue about her son and the mother of the son, and hoping that she does not get exposed to the harsh words of Kokila, who knows about the problems caused by Urmila and Rashi, and who fears about what further problems these 2 people might do in the household.
This is a never ending problem, and the entire household can get affected sometimes, although most of the household is not fully aware of what all Rashi is upto (there was only once when Rashi was caught and was only taken back in the house after a lot of struggle and drama). In the current set of episodes, there are small cases that seek to strike Rashi (again most of them her own doing).
There is supposed to be a donation that the household is making to the goddess for Meera, and Rashi has been asked to donate her necklace; something that she has no option but to agree to, but she does not like making this donation. So Rashi and Urmila decide that they will donate a fake necklace, passing that off as the real thing when the real necklace will remain with Rashi. So, even though Rashi is worried about how this will happen, Urmila gets a fake necklace made, and gets into the Modi household through a ladder, gaining access to the window of Rashi's room and coming inside. And soon after, as you would suspect, Kokila also makes her way there, and even though Urmila has hid under the bed, she sees the door of the almirah open and the necklace outside, and when Rashi says that the locker door is not working, she takes the necklace.
At this, Urmila instructs Rashi to get the necklace back from Kokila's room, something that Rashi is able to do later by going into Kokila's room and then sending Kokila to get a cloth from outside.
However, at the next day, all this goes to waste since Gopi is in her room, and seeing the necklace and knowing that Rashi has agreed to give it to the goddess, Gopi picks up the original confusion. In the confusion, Rashi does not realize that this is the original necklace and is shocked when she sees the necklace getting donated. However, Urmila decides that she will get it back.
In another incident, Kokila has asked Rashi to make kheer for some guests, and when Rashi is making the kheer and grumbling about the work, she spills most of the milk and adds water to make up the difference. However, the guests notice that the kheer is not good and point it out; and then Rashi defends herself saying that the milkman is now giving watered milk. He defends himself, but is still dismissed by Kokila. The man strikes back by organizing a milk boycott of the Modi household, and they get a cow to get milk from. And guess what, the cow only lets Rashi come near her, which means the duty of getting milk from the cow now comes to Rashi.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Urmila kidnaps baby boy for Rashi, in trouble now

The serial keeps on showing twists in the serial. Right now, there is a further problem related to the issue about a baby for Rashi. For some time now, Urmila had been pushing Rashi that she will be deprived of any rights in the house, because Gopi is having a baby. This used to cause Rashi despair from time to time, but she was not able to get pregnant. However, this got more complicated when finally Gopi gave birth to a baby girl, and the whole family was wrapped around the baby girl. This increased because of the problem that the baby girl, Meera, was very comfortable and attached to Rashi, in fact Rashi would be the one to hold her when Meera would start crying. This increased the pitch for Rashi to have a baby of her own, but this was not be so easy.
Rashi even tried for adoption, going through the formalities. However, in the stage when the family is evaluated for their environment and for the ability to take care of a baby, there were problems where the evaluators found Rashi responding unkindly to some street kids, and gave her the conclusion that they did not approve of her behavior and as a result, she would not be eligible to get a baby through adoption, atleast for now. The family protested a lot, but the result remained the same.
Finally Urmila took matters in her hand, and decided to get a baby by short-circuiting some of the processes, picking up a baby from the orphanage. However, this was not done with all the required formalities, and this would cause tension that would increase steadily. After they got the baby home, the actual mother of the baby decided that even though she was under pressure because of being unmarried, she was not willing to give her baby up for adoption and wanted the baby back. Urmila and Rashi thought that they had managed to evade the mother, but she caught up with them later.
She told them that she wanted the baby back, but Urmila came up with an alternative whereby the mother, Alka could come live with them, and hence could be close to her baby. However, this was not so easy to do. Rashi was not able to create a situation where she could get Alka to the house, although she tried and tried. Finally she was able to create a situation where Alka was in the house, but things get more complicated when she behaves in such a way that the rest of the family, especially Kokila, got suspicious of her behavior.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Finally Ahem manages to escape, Gopi gives birth

For more than a week now, the serial has been showing a level of crime that was not seen in the serial earlier. The earlier problems caused by Urmila and Rashi was never at this level, this is a life and death situation that was depicted. The family had a partner called Aman for a plant in Bhuj, and then, as Gopi was getting closer to the delivery date, a major problem occurred. Ahem did not appear for a party where he was supposed to come directly, and after a couple of hours, everybody was very worried. When Aman was contacted, he was equally concerned and stated that he would use all his resources to find out what happened and take action appropriately. At the same time, he told the family members that there was no need to inform the police and that he had contacts with different sources including the police and Aman would take the required action. The family members went along with this.
And then Gopi went out to get any information on Ahem, in a very emotional state. She was soon out of contact from the rest of the family, and in her heavily pregnant condition, was roaming around the desert region, and in a twist, came into contact with a young camel who was seemingly separated from the rest of the family. And Jigar was also out searching for both Ahem and Gopi. And to make matters worse, Kokila became very ill, feeling the pangs of separation from Ahem and Gopi.
Then the family members finally went to the police station, led by the ill Kokila, in order to find out progress, and were very surprised to see that the police denied all knowledge, that the name of the inspector given by Aman was false, and that the police had no knowledge of Aman filing any kind of complaint. They soon put two and two together, and concluded that Aman would be the one behind the kidnapping of Ahem and got the people to investigate. In the meantime, Ahem was able to run away once, but was caught, and then managed to run away again. Aman had threatened Ahem that he would hurt Gopi if Ahem did not agree to sign the papers that Aman wanted Ahem to sign. Finally, when Ahem was able to run away, he was running away from the gang, towards the same bus in which Jigar and Gopi were traveling, and then in a quick climax, Jigar and Ahem were able to beat up the gang members and then Gopi gave birth over there.
One problem remains that Koki was in a critical condition, and it is expected that the news of the baby, Ahem and Gopi would be able to revive her.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Separation between Ahem and Gopi after some harsh words by Ahem

The happenings in the serial seem somewhat strange. Due to a time when Ahem had bhang, he had sex with Gopi and as a result, because of that one encounter, Gopi is pregnant. The family is very happy since none of them expected this to happen, being unsure of the true nature of the relationship between Gopi and Ahem. Ahem, after the initial surprise, is very confused. Given the fact that on a running basis, there is no physical intimacy between Gopi and Ahem, he thinks that this talk of a father is very much forward and that he is not ready for being a father as yet.
This feeling is increasing in him, causing him to become more impatient and more edgy, and increasing the distance between him and Gopi. Gopi is unable to understand as to why Ahem is becoming more distant, why he seems more impatient. And then it happens, where at a havan, a kid is in the house and is causing Ahem to get more irritated. This irritation causes Ahem to finally declare that he does not want a baby, and this causes Koki to get extremely angry, who then separates Ahem and Gopi and says that from now on, there is no relation between Ahem and Gopi and between Ahem and the baby.
At the same time, Urmi realizes that if Gopi is the one bringing a baby into the household and Rashi does not have a baby, it will make the position of Gopi more powerful, so she starts urging Rashi to also get pregnant. Rashi is somewhat impatient with the speed expected out of her, but starts making some attempts under the guidance of Urmi. She is told to try the trick of using bhang, but in this case, the situation becomes reversed, with Rashi eating the laddu containing bhang rather than her husband.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Anita finally leaves from the house, but not before almost causing a tragedy

The incident with regard to Anita being in the house and causing problems for Gopi have dragged on in the serial for some time now. After the trick played by Rashi (where she managed to get Anita and Ahem shown in a compromising position at Anita's marriage), Anita's marriage was broken off and she fell ill. At that stage, the Modi household decided that she would be a guest in their house, since the reason for the breaking of the relationship was the compromising position that she was caught in along with Ahem. After she came to the house, Anita started feeling that Gopi was not the right kind of wife, that she was more suitable for Ahem, and after all, she was earlier in Ahem's life.
Based on this, Anita started make her stance, and Kokila along with Rashi pretty clearly understood what was happening, and since Koki knew that Gopi was so simple, she would not easily understand what was happening. But Koki understood and got Rashi on her side (for Rashi, Anita in the house as the elder daughter-in-law would be a far more difficult game than poor simple Gopi who was easy to manipulate). So Koki started the fightback, challenging Anita to multiple competitions where each time Gopi won even though Anita tried several tricks.
Bitter after all these fights, Anita went beyond the normal level, trying a tactic where Gopi would get burnt in the kitchen due to leaking gas. Like all well laid plans, this one went wrong, with Ahem being in the kitchen when the fire started. While everybody was just shocked, Gopi got a blanket and jumped into the kitchen and got Ahem out. After this, everybody was all praise for Gopi and then Koki remembered the circumstances and realized that Anita would be behind all this. She got Anita to admit to all this, and when Anita claimed that she did out of love for Ahem, Ahem strongly refuted all this, and said that he was now hating Anita. As a result, at the conclusion of all this, Anita decided to leave the house.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya Saath Nibhana - Competition between Anita and Gopi

This serial seems to have descended into foolishness. It also seems to prove that one should not do good, else you will have to face the consequences. So, due to a trick by Rashi, Anita and Ahem are shown in compromising conditions in the marriage ceremony (which was itself very foolish), and as a result, Anita's marriage is put off. To avoid the mental trauma, Ahem and family bring Anita home and try and make her believe for some time that everything is fine, but then Anita gets to know the truth.
Things get more complicated since now Anita believes that Gopi is not fit for Ahem, and she is the true person who would be right for Ahem. In addition, there is a complication when Ahem objects to the marriage proposal for Anita from Arvind; there is a small confrontation between Anita and Kokila, when Kokila objects to Anita saying that Gopi is not right for Ahem. Kokila proposes a small competition where both Anita and Gopi have to win blessings from others in the house without letting them know about the competition; and Gopi objects to using any wrong means for winning the competition, while Anita has no such objections.
What is crazy is about Kokila letting this happen, she is such a dictator that she should be able to set everything right; why is she not stopping Anita from doing all this ?

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Major problems, with Anita's marriage getting cancelled because of Ahem

Saathiya suddenly went into a separate area altogether with a major event happening. The wedding of Ahem's old girl-friend Anita was supposed to happen, and Urmila and Rashi were trying to do another kalakari over there, something that would cause embarrassment to Gopi and to Ahem. So, Rashi tries a series of steps that would cause a lot of problems, but when you look at everything that happens, it also happens only because a number of steps happened in the right order for the problem to occur.
First Rashi managed to hide the card from the family which indicated that this was actually a marriage of Anita (the card had come in terms of the marriage of the son of a business associate of the Modi's), and then when there was a discussion about only a few of the men going to the marriage, she managed to persuade the family that everybody should go to the marriage rather than only the men of the family.
At the marriage, Rashi did a series of steps (which included dripping juice on the clothes worn by Ahem) which finally resulted in everybody seeing both Ahem and Anita lying on the same bed. And there were a lot of people who saw this and all were shocked. This so shocked Nilesh's family that his father called off the marriage even though Ahem tried to persuade him otherwise.
And then this shock led to Anita fainting and she was taken to hospital.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Rashi trying to create differences between Hetal and Kokila

The serial seems to be working through something similar to what happened a few weeks back, when Rashi was kicked out of the house and was taken back with great difficulty, and the same thing seems to be happening now. For some time Rashi stayed away from her mother Urmila, since it was her mother who used to do all the manipulations, and then she saw that she was not getting the same treatment as Gopi, and resumed her previous methods of trying one trick after another.
One of the reasons that Rashi was getting verbally battered in the house for her tactics was that Kokila was wise to her tactics, and Hetal would normally follow whatever Kokila recommended. So the plan hatched by Urmila was to try and separate them, such that Hetal would start to feel that she was getting ignored; and this was done by Rashi to some amount of satisfaction, whereby she was slowly stoking a feeling in Hetal about injustice being done to her due to the power of Kokila. So, there started growing some cold vibes between Hetal and Kokila, and Gopi was able to perceive some of them and do a few things so that this feeling would not increase.
But now Rashi has increased the level of her tactics, and it seems that some of these will cause her problems, especially when she got a big size laddu to the temple and had to hold the laddu for a long time causing her great distress. For her revenge, she tried to get a lot of chilli powder on Kokila (something that can really get her in trouble), but it seems that due to divine intervention, things turned the other way and all the chilli powder landed on her.
With Kinjal, a different story is brewing. Due to a statue of Kanha in her room releasing water, she is now being seen as a devi in the neighborhood, while the struggle for the lottery money in the house between Kinjal and Urmila is simmering.
And the other parallel track is about the impending coming together of Ahem and Gopi as they are getting physically closer to each other, with Gopi knowing nothing about the reality of physical relationships.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Gopi finally recovered, and Rashi being taken back to Modi house

After some long tense moments (caused due to Gopi getting injured by a falling slab after the rescue of Rashi from the kidnappers), finally the doctors declared that Gopi is out of danger. There was all the usual drama, such as the fact that her blood group was a bit different (apparently only Urmi had that blood group, and not even Rashi, her own daughter). Urmi first refuses to give blood, and is then firmly persuaded to give her blood.
Finally, Gopi is fine, and though the doctor was worried about her going into coma, some strong words from Ahem persuaded Gopi that she needs to get better, and she did not fall into a coma. Now, there is a changed Ahem, who probably realized how much he actually loved Gopi. He cares for her, spends a lot of time in the hospital while she is recovering, show a lot of his care, and overall does a great job of portraying a concerned husband.
Finally, it is time for them to come home, and Ahem gets her discharged from the hospital and brings her home. At this time, Gopi asks Koki to forgive Rashi, something that Kokila is not really willing to do, although she has seen some signs of change in Rashi (she is mostly angry with Rashi for forever planning something cunning, mostly inspired by her mother Urmi). Rashi's husband Jigar also notices a transformation in her, especially when she asks for forgiveness from Gopi, or when she took her mother out of the hospital.
So, finally the Modi ladies go to Rashi's house and decide to bring her home, something that leaves both Rashi and Urmi very surprised and shocked. Urmi warns Rashi that this is not the end, that she will not get her true status and will need to do more drama, but Rashi is somehow finally recognizing that her mother's tactics are causing all the problems.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Plot by Urmila and Rashi fails, back to the same situation

The serial continues to show a state of confrontation between Kokila and the mother-daughter duo of Urmila - Rashi. After Rashi was kicked out of the Modi house, Urmila tried all her cunning to somehow get them back into the house, but nothing seems to be working. She tried pleading, trying to cause them embarrassment, trying to knock the doors of the police, but nothing seems to be working. If anything, seeing how Urmila is keeping on plotting, seems to be making Koki more determined in her decision, backed up by Hetal and the rest of the family. On the other hand, the presence of Kinjal is causing a bit of a shake, since the rest of the family is pushing Dhaval to setup the shop again and move to a new house; while Kinjal sees this as an opportunity to continue to have the benefits of living in the posh Modi house; if she moves out with Dhaval anywhere, things will get tight for her since with their limited income, they will have a much smaller house - in fact, some of the houses that Dhaval has shown her caused her great disgust.
Urmila and Rashi tried to get Kokila's mother on their side, thinking that she will get Koki to change her decision, but after some initial discussion, Nani got to know the whole truth from Hetal and decided that Koki took the right decision by kicking Rashi out of the house - and when Urmila and Rashi confront her at the gates of the house, she ignores them.
Now, the mother-daughter duo have to figure out what to do, and with Dhaval not running his shop, money is in short supply. Urmila says that the shop needs to be re-opened, but if there is work to do, then Rashi is not comfortable with doing this work, and causes a customer to go away.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Rashi and Urmila trying to get Rashi back in the house

The serial is typically a very melodramatic serial, with a lot of drama in every episode; I am sure the script and dialog writers must have been told to put as much drama as possible even in every dialog. So, when the mother-in-law speaks to her daughter-in-laws, you feel as if something is about to happen. Similarly, when even the door bell rings, everybody's face takes on an expression as if something strange is going to happen.
So, when the melodrama in the serial increases, things get even more interesting. In the current case, Rashi had been kicked out of the house, and Urmila was trying all tactics to get her back. For some time, she tried to create a drama in front of the Modi mansion, and then when that did not work, she tried to use the police to threaten Kokila and the family, but that did not work either.
In the meantime, Kinjal and Dhaval are also in the Modi mansion, where Dhaval is feeling uncomfortable about being there, but the others are trying to make him comfortable. Kinjal on the other hand is trying to be as clever as she can; she tries to get her shoes cleaned by Gopi and Koki sees that and gives her a right scolding about being respectful towards her elder bhabhi and doing her work herself rather than trying to manipulate people; especially somebody like Gopi who cannot say no to anyone.
In the meantime Rashi and Urmila have got hold of Nani, in the hope that they will get her to reverse Kokila's decision; but Nani has such a forgetful nature that they should not be hoping that something useful will come from her side. They manage to get her in an auto to the Modi house, but one is not sure whether their plan will succeed.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Rashi asked to leave the house, her mother will fight back

The family has a pride in terms of being good straight people. So, when Koki learns the truth about the lies of Rashi and Urmi, she is shocked and decides to expose all that Rashi has done in front of everybody. This is a shocker for everybody. But before this, Rashi has already gone off to her mother's house with her luggage, and Jigar goes there to pick her up so that she can be there in the house for Diwali celebrations (so far only Jigar knows that she has gone there in a huff).
So, finally Rashi comes back to the house, where she is happy that Jigar has come there to pick her up, and that she is important for the household. However, Rashi is in for a big shock when she comes back to the house, since Koki subjects her to an interrogation as soon as she comes inside, and that too, in the full flow that Koki is capable of. Even though others try to stop her, she shuts everybody up (including Gopi who tries to intervene but is forced to keep quiet).
Soon, the others find out about everything that Rashi and her mother are done, and when Jigar admits that he knew some of this, there is confirmation as well. It is at that point that Rashi is turned out of the house. Her mother is shocked at this and cannot stand such a thing happening. She comes to the house in order to try and bring her daughter back, but does not succeed. So she starts a new drama where she sits at the gate of the house, claiming that she will not leave till they take her daughter out, but Koki tells everyone to ignore this drama, telling Ahem to be quiet, although he is getting very angry and wants to call the police to sort this out. When Gopi is going out to meet Urmi, Koki stops her as well.
The next part of this drama will be where Urmi attempts to use the drama of some injuries on Rashi's body in order to claim that she was being tortured for dowry, and there will be the need for CCTV footage in order to verify the truth.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Major issues between Jigar and Rashi, Rashi in trouble

The serial Saathiya is a look at a family where the mother is the absolute tyrant in the family, everything she says is what is the law in the house; however, Koki is not a bitter or evil person, she understands when somebody is trying to do good, and when somebody is trying to trick her or do something that is against her principles.
She has 2 daughter-in-laws, with Gopi being the one who is good, but who is also shown as being more of a buffoon, who believes everything, and who believes that everyone is good. As a result, she can be easily mislead, or can be tricked into doing what others want. And the other is the other daughter-in-law, Rashi, who is cunning and sharp. She has a mother Urmi (whose son is married to Rashi's sister-in-law Kinjal). Both Rashi and Urmi try to ensure that they are smart, and are able to get what they want; however, by now Koki is very conversant with their tricks and does not lose an opportunity to poke fun at Rashi; she is also pretty happy with Gopi and understands the good nature of Gopi.
Rashi's husband, Jigar, for some time has not been clear about his wife's nature, but is now pretty clear. This is because of 2 instances, one where Rashi causes Sonal to be stranded in a dangerous area (Rashi gets Gopi to call Sonal, and then takes the air out of the tyres of Sonal's car, and then when she realizes that Sonal has not yet come back, is very panicked). The other is about when she tries to commit suicide (an act) and the doctor tells Jigar that his wife has only eaten sugar balls, not the naphthalene balls it seems like.
