Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - More twists in the serial with Mohit and Emily

The serial is planning to take its viewers through more twists and turns; now, even though they do show most of the conservative elements of Indian society in some way, the serial does show changes brought forward in this society due to education, and due to sheer persistence. The serial has been criticized in some aspects because of the sheer conservatism of the family and the reluctance of the educated daughter-in-law of the family to significantly object to some of these customs - instead she does oppose them but not in a direct way; instead the show shows her trying to use slow processes, but based on logic and reasoning to make these changes, backed solidly by her husband (one wonders how this would have turned out if the husband, Suraj, had not been supportive of these changes but had instead been as conservative as anybody else).
After the expose of the Swami, Sandhya gains more respect due to the logic and reasoning she used to expose the Swami and his plans of usurping land by building a mall in the region. The expose of the miracles done by the Swami meant that people understood how those miracles were happening and also ensured that the trouble that her family was going through finally disappeared, and that her family was able to hold up its head in society again (there was a time when the efforts by the Swami meant that her family was being exposed to actual physical harm).
Now, one of the byproducts of the effort done by Sandhya was that Bhabho ensured that she would be able to go to college in the day instead of in the evening / night (the family was surprised when a letter announcing her admission in the college came, and even more when it was revealed that it was Bhabho who had caused this to happen). Meenakshi was very surprised since this meant that there was more affection between Bhabho and Sandhya, and the possibility of Bhabho getting angry and kicking Sandhya out of the house had reduced for now (till the time that the serial wants more masala in the serial).
The next major problem in the serial will come to challenge Bhabho's belief in no cross-caste or cross-religion marriage, since she will find that her own son is involved in a relationship with a Christian girl, a shocker for sure. Meenakshi will discover that Mohit is in a relation with Emily, and her nosy nature will lead her to learn that Emily is actually pregnant with Mohit's child, which will be a shocker for Bhabho in more than one way. What will Bhabho do now ? Or will Mohit actually get married to Emily and then present Bhabho with a decision already taken.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Sandhya reveals the truth behind the Swami

The serial keeps on showing the evolution in the life of an educated girl with values who is living in a more conservative household in a conservative society. The pressures in her life, the struggle to try and increase the level of education, to become more progressive is shown in the serial. Sometimes the serial seems to descend to a level where the girl is shown as being down-trodden most of the times, but the character is shown as trying her best to do what she thinks is best, to improve her conditions, and to also ensure that people think in a logical and right way. One of the best examples is when the household of the lady is put under pressure by a religious swami, who accuses the family of stealing the jewels of the goddess and claims that the family will suffer for what they have done, and keeps on applying pressure for the same.
So, the Swami applies pressure on the family, and given that this is a conservative family, everybody immediately comes under pressure. Except for Sandhya, the rest of the family is shocked, and whenever something bad happens (which can happen even in a normal course of events), the incident is blamed on the curse given by the swami. And the Swami gives them very little time for recovering the jewels of the goddess and asks them to return the jewels or face a punishment, and even the neighbors believe all this, and see the miracles brought forward by the Swami, and blame the family.
Sandhya, with the help of Suraj, Chotu, and Chaturi cannot accept that things such as miracles can happen, and decides to investigate as to what has happened, and there is an urgency since there is the potential of very serious trouble hanging on top of their head if the jewels are not recovered. The problem is that the Swami has indeed buried the jewels in their house and they will get in serious trouble.
So Sandhya decides to pay back the Swami in his coin, using science in the guise of faith and miracles, and starts to twist the Swami around. She does some miracles of her own, including getting a coconut to break only when the Swami is holding it in his hand, putting water on the ground for some hours till the jewels automatically rise out of the ground (as if the goddess has produced the jewels in response to her prayers).
She then reveals the truth behind these miracles, that the earth splitting and jewels coming out was because of watering of grain till they absorbed water and arose pushing up the jewels which were on top. Similarly, the crying of the statue of the goddess when Bhabho offered prayers was because of a chemical that was activated by extra heat, and so on.
She also reveals that the Swmi was just a person called Govind who was trying to get a mall constructed, and the reason that he was after their family was because they had got a stay order filed against him in court and this was a way to get them to back down.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - More drama in the house as Rashi under pressure

Saathiya is a never ending quest of the problems caused by Rashi (orchestrated by her mother Urmila) in order for Rashi to gain an upper hand in the household, or for some other reason, and the problems that arise when such items are exposed. So, Rashi is already struggling with the issue about her son and the mother of the son, and hoping that she does not get exposed to the harsh words of Kokila, who knows about the problems caused by Urmila and Rashi, and who fears about what further problems these 2 people might do in the household.
This is a never ending problem, and the entire household can get affected sometimes, although most of the household is not fully aware of what all Rashi is upto (there was only once when Rashi was caught and was only taken back in the house after a lot of struggle and drama). In the current set of episodes, there are small cases that seek to strike Rashi (again most of them her own doing).
There is supposed to be a donation that the household is making to the goddess for Meera, and Rashi has been asked to donate her necklace; something that she has no option but to agree to, but she does not like making this donation. So Rashi and Urmila decide that they will donate a fake necklace, passing that off as the real thing when the real necklace will remain with Rashi. So, even though Rashi is worried about how this will happen, Urmila gets a fake necklace made, and gets into the Modi household through a ladder, gaining access to the window of Rashi's room and coming inside. And soon after, as you would suspect, Kokila also makes her way there, and even though Urmila has hid under the bed, she sees the door of the almirah open and the necklace outside, and when Rashi says that the locker door is not working, she takes the necklace.
At this, Urmila instructs Rashi to get the necklace back from Kokila's room, something that Rashi is able to do later by going into Kokila's room and then sending Kokila to get a cloth from outside.
However, at the next day, all this goes to waste since Gopi is in her room, and seeing the necklace and knowing that Rashi has agreed to give it to the goddess, Gopi picks up the original confusion. In the confusion, Rashi does not realize that this is the original necklace and is shocked when she sees the necklace getting donated. However, Urmila decides that she will get it back.
In another incident, Kokila has asked Rashi to make kheer for some guests, and when Rashi is making the kheer and grumbling about the work, she spills most of the milk and adds water to make up the difference. However, the guests notice that the kheer is not good and point it out; and then Rashi defends herself saying that the milkman is now giving watered milk. He defends himself, but is still dismissed by Kokila. The man strikes back by organizing a milk boycott of the Modi household, and they get a cow to get milk from. And guess what, the cow only lets Rashi come near her, which means the duty of getting milk from the cow now comes to Rashi.

Diya Aur Bati Hum sometimes meanders on and on, and can get boring to watch sometimes. How long can you see a person, a well educated girl, getting humiliated by her mother-in-law and others in the family, suffering, and yet managing to do good for the others in the family, getting them out of trouble. The biggest problem for Sandhya is the attitude of her mother-in-law who has conservative beliefs. Bhabho believes that it is the role of the bahu of the house to ensure that the house is running well, to produce the offspring that will take the house ahead, and not to get into matters such as getting too educated or to try to get a job. And this is the biggest problem in the house, with Sandhya wanting to get more educated, to become a police officer as she wants. Her husband Suraj is also totally behind her in this and has actually gone behind his mother's back in getting her admitted to night school. When they tell this to Bhabho, she was shocked, and finally agrees to this with the condition that if Sandhya makes 3 mistakes, then she will be turned out of the house.
Another major problem for Sandhya is Mina, the other daughter-in-law of the house, who is forever on the case of Sandhya. She wants to get Sandhya in trouble and keeps on doing stuff, and keeps on getting exposed on a regular basis. However, Bhabho knows about Meena's nature and tries to prevent Mina from saying stuff that is meant to get Sandhya in trouble, and does not leave a change to tell off Meena when she sees Meena upto something.
Now, the latest issue is about the illness of Meena's baby, something which was caused by the fraud medicines that was being taken by Meena to get a boy, something that her doctor did not know about which was causing the problems to Meena. In addition, other problems including a scooter accident that Mohit had, and also a sum of Rs. 70,000 stolen from Suraj's account (withdrawn from the ATM). This is complicated since a sadhu baba claims that there is a curse upon them, something that both Suraj and Sanadhya do not accept, but the rest of the family believes that the curse is correct, and the problems happening are because of that bad luck.
Finally, Sandhya is able to prove that the amount was actually stolen by Meena since she gets the bank to send photos of Meena in the ATM, something that shocks the rest of the family. Meena is horrified that this was found, and then starts claiming that Bhabho has always discriminated against her and forgiven Sandhya so many times.

Hindi TV Serials - Diya Aur Bati Hum - The truth about RK, and about Chaturi

The household is very confused since Chathuri has been missing for some time. It was in a skirmish with Meena that Chathuri fell down a cliff and ever since then Meena is very worried that she caused the death of Chaturi and somebody is going to hold her accountable. On the other hand, Sandhya is sure that there is some problem and that there are strange things going on. She was able to detect that there was an internet connection on somewhere in the vicinity while there is actually nobody nearby who has internet connectivity.
Further, RK is shown to be in cahoots with terrorists, up to some suspicious behavior. While Meena is worried about news of Chaturi, RK is trying to ensure that his deeds do not get caught. And then they show more complexity, where Sandhya and Bhabho want to leave for Chathuri's village to find out more news and Meena is trying to figure out how to stop them. And who helps Meena in this, it is Rajkumar who has Chathuri captured and who gets her to make a phone call where she tells them that everything is fine and that there is no need for anybody to come. However, Sandhya remains suspicious since the letter that had come from Chathuri had a different postmark than that of her village and remains convinced that there is some problem.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Bhabho out of jail, now the truth about Sandhya's education

The serial is slowly showing how Sandhya is adjusting to her inlaws place, even with the gap between her parental house education levels and that of her inlaws. Further, her inlaws have been told that she is not very educated, while that is not true. So she is apprehensive of them getting to know the truth, and not being happy about being lied to to. All her inlaws have been told that she is a 7th pass, while she was in actuality studying BA.
The serial also shows how Sandhya is slowly adjusting to her life, understanding her husband and her inlaws house; she is starting to understand the good nature of Sooraj much more along with the nature of her inlaws much more, and even starting to appreciate the slightly tough nature of Bhabho. Things get a bit hairy when Bhabho is taken to jail by police, right in front of everybody, for abuse of her; Sandhya tries to help out Bhabho through arranging for some legal advice, and finally Bhabho comes back home after being released from police custody after the complaint is taken back by Meenakshi, and everything is forgiven.
Now, the biggest drama is about the revealing of the education level of Sandhya. She accomplished the task of being 3rd in the state and as a result, her photograph was published in the paper, including the paper that came to the household. Due to some drama, the photo in the paper was destroyed and hence people in the home were not able to see this, Sooraj however saw the photo and finally managed to figure out her accomplishment and realize her education level. But, the women in the neighborhood will come to the household.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Rashi and Urmila trying to get Rashi back in the house

The serial is typically a very melodramatic serial, with a lot of drama in every episode; I am sure the script and dialog writers must have been told to put as much drama as possible even in every dialog. So, when the mother-in-law speaks to her daughter-in-laws, you feel as if something is about to happen. Similarly, when even the door bell rings, everybody's face takes on an expression as if something strange is going to happen.
So, when the melodrama in the serial increases, things get even more interesting. In the current case, Rashi had been kicked out of the house, and Urmila was trying all tactics to get her back. For some time, she tried to create a drama in front of the Modi mansion, and then when that did not work, she tried to use the police to threaten Kokila and the family, but that did not work either.
In the meantime, Kinjal and Dhaval are also in the Modi mansion, where Dhaval is feeling uncomfortable about being there, but the others are trying to make him comfortable. Kinjal on the other hand is trying to be as clever as she can; she tries to get her shoes cleaned by Gopi and Koki sees that and gives her a right scolding about being respectful towards her elder bhabhi and doing her work herself rather than trying to manipulate people; especially somebody like Gopi who cannot say no to anyone.
In the meantime Rashi and Urmila have got hold of Nani, in the hope that they will get her to reverse Kokila's decision; but Nani has such a forgetful nature that they should not be hoping that something useful will come from her side. They manage to get her in an auto to the Modi house, but one is not sure whether their plan will succeed.

Hindi TV Serial - Saas Bina Sasural - A fairly new serial on Sony TV about a girl's marriage into a all male household

A lot of serials are made on the concept of the conflict within a household once new daughter-in-laws enter the house, especially the conflict between the saas of the house and the daughter-in-law; so when a serial came in with the tagline that what happens when there is no mother-in-law in the house or even when there is no single girl in the house.
This is the story of Taanya (who is also known as 'Toasty', played by Aishwarya Sakhuja), who is a beautiful and intelligent modern girl. She is in love with a young man named Tej (Ravi Dube as Tejprakash Chaturvedi). They are sure that they want to marry, but Tej has a secret, his family consists entirely of men, with not a single women in the house. This can cause a lot of problem for any girl's family given the fact that a house with only men could be considered uncouth and not fit for a girl.
However, Toasty is determined to make a good wife and daughter-in-law and moves into the house, with the house filled with characters who seem strange to her. There is the grandfather and head of the family who is very favorable to Taanya, and then other people in the house, with most of them elder to Tej. They are all living their own lives, work for the same shop that they own. And it is difficult for them to adjust to a newcomer in the house who can change a lot of the way stuff happens in the house; and slowly Toasty is learning more about what happens in the house.
She has a lot of support from Tej, but in some cases, it is difficult for Tej to also do anything when his elders put pressure on him to get Toasty to modify something or the other - she is turn is very gentle and is trying her best to ensure that things happen well.

Hindi TV Serials - Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya - Arushi gets taken by force by Shakti

Something very strange is ongoing in the serial right now, especially when it comes to the right of women. Arushi marries Shakti when Shakti is already married to Kesar, and under the Hindu marriage code, Shakti cannot marry a second time when his first wife is alive. Pratigya and Krishna have been protesting this for quite some time, but have not managed to persuade any of the other family members, Shakti, SS, or Amma that what is happening is wrong. Instead, Krishna is criticized by all of them for turning over to the other side and only supporting his own wife.
And a new issue crops up when Arushi realizes that what she has done is wrong, that Pratigya was trying to help her and that she made a mistake by marrying Shakti in anger. She wants to change things, and seek the support of her family who have disowned her ever since she married Shakti. She manages to escape and goes along with Krishna and Pratigya back to her father's house who finally accepts her back. However, Shakti and Sajjan Singh come there, and using a gun, force Arushi to go back with them. Shyamji and Adarsh head to SS's house and lodge a complaint with the police and an inspector comes with them. After much coaxing, SS finally gets Amma to get Arushi from the room inside, and Arushi wants to leave. However, when the inspector finds out that Arushi had married out of her own choice and has not suffered any harm, he does not care that she wants to leave and tells her that she has to remain there. A strange action on behalf of the police.
Shakti is getting in a bad state, wanting to take Arushi, and is talking about killing Kesar so that he has only one wife, and that is Arushi.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Is Des Ladoo - Bhanupratap chasing Ammaji and her family, chased them away from their home

The serial is gradually moving to the stage where a time leap happens and the current generation of people shown in the serial are no longer there. The prime hero and heroine of the serial, Sia and Raghav, will no longer be shown in the serial since they will be shown as having died in the serial.
In the serial, an old enemy of Ammaji, Bhanupratap (Aman Verma), challenges Ammaji that he will destroy her family (like Ammaji destroyed his family earlier) and he will do so when the family is celebrating the impending arrival of new children in the family, at the function to be held in the haveli.
And Ammaji is sure of the strength that she possesses, that she is sure nothing can happen; however Bhanupratap attacks with full force and forces a battle in the haveli and pushes Ammaji and the family away from the haveli. This causes more problems since there are 3 ladies who are pregnant and due to deliver.
Bhanupratap pursues them (with Ammaji running away in full flight, and with many of her men having been killed in the fight), and slowly you see how this proud family is being reduced to a sorry state in this run away from Bhanupratap. The only thing that is saving them to some extent is the fact that Ammaji has managed to keep the sister of Bhanupratap with them, and she has also regained her memory and remembers all that Ammaji did to her family.
In this difficult situation, Amba, the dacoit daughter of Ammaji comes to the rescue, and saves them temporarily from the clutches of Bhanupratap, shooting BP in the leg and hand.

Hindi TV Serials - Yeh Rishta Kya Kahlata Hain - Problems when buying a Diwali present for Nandini's inlaws

The problems for Akshara never seem to end. The relation between Nandini and Mohit is a nice one, like any married couple. The issue is more about the way that Mohit's mother has been portrayed, showing her to be more concerned about money and wanting Mohit to get married to a rich girl. So, she was initially shocked when she got to know that Mohit wanted to marry a handicapped girl, but her attitude quickly changed when she found that Nandini belonged to one of the richest families of the area, and expected that a lot of riches were going to come her away (constrained by the fact that Mohit had a high degree of pride and was not going to let his inlaws give him money more than the normal marriage items)
However, as a result, there is always some amount of tension when it comes to giving gifts to Nandini's inlaws, since the household would not want to give something so low that it would make Mohit's mother feel that her expectations were not being met, and yet not something that Mohit would want to refuse it and send it back.
So, when the occasion for giving the first set of gifts for Diwali came, Akshara got the responsibility, and along with Rashmi, she set out to get something that would be modern, and got a lot of beautiful and creative decorations for Diwali, but something that the elders in the house were not really comfortable with; and obviously Mohit's mother did not really like them at all. But the biggest problem was when they picked up the sweets from a local shop, and it turned out that the local shop gave them old sweets, which when opened up Mohit's house, turned out to be rotten, and this eventually got back to Akshara's house. Big problem.

Hindi TV Serial - Rang Badalti Odhani - Finally Khanak reveals her love for Shantanu

For quite some episodes now, there has been an ongoing thread in the serial about the love relationship between Khanak and Shantanu, and how Khanak has been unable to articulate her love for Shantanu, even though she can feel it. As a result, Shantanu has been pushing Khanak about this, and threatening her in various ways that unless she does say so, the relationship between them will become more difficult.
And another occasion is coming up, where the marriage anniversary of Shantanu's father and mother is coming up, and there is some tension between these 2 people (and there is also some tension between the elder brother and sister-in-law of Shantanu). Part of this has been building up for some time, and it grew somewhat serious such that the 2 husbands were thrown out of their rooms.
Finally Khanak promises Shantanu that she will do the formal proclamation of her love during the celebration of the marriage anniversary inside the house, in front of everybody, something that Shantanu just cannot believe. And in turn, Shantanu, does a song and dance at the celebration, using his old guitar that he has not been using college (and for which he had scolded Khanak pretty badly, asking her as to how she could dare touch his old items).
Finally, Khanak gives a long speech at the occasion, touching the lives of all the family members, making them realize their love for each other, and of course touching Shantanu a lot, and showing a number of lovey-dovey scenes between them.

Hindi TV Serial - Pratigya - Pratigya and Krishna reconcile, are now deeply attached to each other

Finally, this had to happen. A lot of the fans of the serial were asking for this, and finally the story of the serial obliged them. For a long time, Pratigya was fighting Krishna and he was supporting her inspite of all that. Even though they had been married, Pratigya refused to let her touch him. However, over a period of time, it seemed clear that the serial would show them getting closer to each other. And as a result, finally, Pratigya realized that Krishna really loved her, and inspite of what all he had done in the past, he supported her against the pressure of all his family members who taunted her.
At the same time, it was becoming clear that her inlaws were out to get her; due to the event where Krishna'r brother had misbehaved with Pratigya's sister and had got slapped in return, Sajjan Singh was very angry with the behaviour of Pratigya and planned to kill her in a plot hatched along with Krishna's mother and brother. They tried to electrocute her, but instead of that, the maid touched the live wire and got badly injured.
This led to a series of events where Pratigya's elder sister-in-law found out about this attempt, and led to her getting badly beaten up by her husband. Pratigya cannot stand that, and decides to file a police case, which leads to Krishna's mother and brother getting jailed. This puts a lot of pressure to get them out of the jail, and which in turn leads to the elder sister-in-law changing her stand and them getting out of the jail. However, Krishna continues to support Pratigya, and the relationship between them starts getting more intimate.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Is Des Ladoo - The elections are near, and Sia is also expecting a baby

The scene is cast in Na Aana Is Des Ladoo. After a long period where it seemed that Sia had given up the fight, she is back in the bitter fight against Ammaji and is standing up against her in the local elections. Something that is troubling Ammaji to a large extent, since she believes that the women of the village would vote for Sia and make things difficult for her.
Raghav is providing full support to Sia in this, and standing up to his mother, something for which she blames Sia, believing that Sia has taken her son away from her. Further, Raghav was a strong person she had, and so this is causing her more problems. Attempts were made to get Raghav away from the campaign, including by attacking him and causing injuries that would prevent him for supporting Sia. However, all this does not deter Raghav and he decides to continue to stand by the side of Sia, including when aspersions were cast on her.
Sia is trying to empower the women of the village, so that they can fight the injustices being done on them, and some of this message is starting to get through to the women, in a couple of cases, women are shown as standing up to their husbands.
Further, the police presence in the village is troubling Ammaji, since the police is preventing injustice being done, and preventing people such as Joginder from causing problems and doing vote fraud. However, Ammaji has one last card up her sleeve. She goes out and claims that she would want people to vote for Sia, especially since Sia is expecting Raghav's child, and she hopes that his action will make sure that all the menfolk will vote for Ammaji, and make them also prevent their wives from going out to vote.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Is Des Ladoo - Sia and Raghav break away from Ammaji, with Sia also standing for elections

A whole lot of drama in the last few weeks; for some time now, there has been lot of feedback that the original theme of Sia standing up to Ammaji, and protesting against what she does to women's rights has got thwarted and badly watered down. Sia would seem totally submissive to Ammaji, and it was left to others to raise the banner of revolt against Ammaji, with Ammaji's own daughter Amba doing the same. However, Ammaji managed to overcome all these challengers, and remained supreme.
Now, the show is back to a contest between Sia and Ammaji, over the case of Gajendra attempting to rape the maid Gunja, and killing her in the process. Sia gets the truth out of Gaji by scaring him at night (but the others do not know this). Ammaji does not approve of Sia claiming that Gaji is guilty and starts to take measures to protest his innocence. In the court case against Gaji, the former lover of Gunja is forced to claim that Gunja was of loose character, anything to ensure that nothing happens to Gaji.
Sia is forced to take a stand against Ammaji, including fighting the elections against her, with Raghav standing by her side. Ammaji throws them out of the house, and then Jogi decides to take steps against Sia, including sending his men to kidnap her. She does get kidnapped, which enrages Raghav, enough that he challenges Ammaji directly. However, it was not Jogi's men who had kidnapped her. Sia manages to escape the kidnappers, although she was in danger of getting raped by them. This now poses a bigger challenge to Ammaji, since it is feared that this will make people emotionally in favor of Sia.

Hindi TV Serial - Yeh Rishta Kya Kahlata Hain - Conflict between Akshara and Naitik over the return of the house

In the serial 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kahlata Hain', there is now tension between Naitik and Akshara. The serial focuses on showing drama in a family, along with festivities (that too prolonged over a number of episodes). In many cases, the tension between the family members seems to be over something is not really worth the amount of tension.
Consider the recent drama, whereby Naitik's mother was very angry about their buying a separate house, and considered that they were wanting to move out of the house and shift to a new location. Naitik considers that this was just a house that he bought for Akshara, and they have no plans of shifting. Further, he says that since he had no bad intentions, why should he apologize.
In the meantime, the tension between Akshara / Naitik and his mother keeps on increasing, even though the others in the family realize that this tension is getting out of hand; and eventually a compromise seems to be that they will sell the house.
Akshara is totally fine with this, but Naitik is very rigid on this, claiming that he had done nothing wrong. With pressure from Akshara, he finally sells the house, but is now very miffed with Akshara since she did not respect his feelings and did not support him - this puts Akshara in a problematic area, since she had to respect the feelings of his mother, and now Naitik was angry with her, and continues to be angry with her for a number of episodes now.

Hindi TV Serials - Yeh Rishta Kya Kahlata Hain - Akshara and Naitik are facing the heat as they buy a new house

This one situation seems ridiculous. I think that this serial seems to have outlived its usefulness, so the makers of the serial have hit on a formula. Whenever, there is an occasion, spend multiple weeks showing all the events of that occasion. So, Nandini's marriage seemingly went through all the festivities being shown in the serial; and then next, there are always some incidents that happen, where Akshara is tested or shown in some sort of bad way and then she has to fight to ensure that she is not misunderstood.
So, soon after Nandini's marriage is over, the next huge drama is being shown. You have Naitik deciding to buy a house for Akshara since she liked the house (how many people do something like buying a house for their wife when they know that they cannot live in that house); and then once this is know in the household, Naitik's mother turns into a total shrieker. She tells Akshara that Akshara has plans to live along with Naitik in another house and would leave this house, and nobody is willing to tell her that she is totally wrong and to give up this drama.
Akshara on the other hand is totally struck down by all this, since she did not know about the purchase till it was announced by Naitik much later, and her own mother-in-law refuses to support her; and Naitik also gets on a high horse and says that he will not sell the house since he has not done anything wrong, and selling the house now would mean that admitting that he had wrong thoughts. Akshara is now stuck in the middle, and in the meantime her mother got to know about this, and was unwilling to support Akshara on this, even more so, since her own son Shaurya had decided to leave the house and stay elsewhere along with his wife.
The others in the house who are elder somehow are not able to do anything significant in this regard.

Hindi TV Serial - Pratigya - All sorts of strange things happening in the serial, with politics, money pressure, kidnapping, etc

There are multiple stories going on in the serial right now, but they are again starting to show Krishna in a good light. Krishna's father has turned Pratigya out of the house and Krishna is along with her, and then he starts to get information that this is going to cause problems to his political aspirations. He is told by another politician that people from his caste are angry over his son marrying a girl from another caste, and voters from Pratigya's caste are unlikely to vote for him since he turned her out of the house, and this cause Sujan Singh to start thinking about the next course of action.
In the meantime, Pratigya's father is facing problems due to pressure from Angad. Angad had kidnapped Pratigya earlier, and is now demanding Rs. 5 lakh from the professor, and if this amount is not given to him, wants Arushi to be handed over to him; something over which Arushi revolts and runs away from the house. In the meantime, Pratigya goes to her parents house and her father refuses to tell her anything, and tells her harshly that she is now the bahu of Sujan Singh and should go and take care of Krishna. Pratigya is shocked at this, but inspite of all her protests, her father refuses to tell her anything.
Now, Pratigya finds Arushi on the streets at night, and runs after her, and manages to catch Arushi even though Arushi is running away from her. And then Pratigya finds out about the demand from Angad, and also her suspicion that Krishna may be behind some of the events is denied totally by Arushi. Krishna finds Pratigya missing and tries to locate her.

Hindi TV Serial - Bidaai on Star Plus - Everything seems to be going fine, but .. dark forebodings

On Bidaai on Star Plus, everything seems to be going fine. Even the drama about the illegitimate son of Inderjeet finally blew over. The son came, threatened, put them in some difficult situations, and when Vasu got to know, she was also somewhat angry, but then suddenly the makers of the serial decided to make everything good again and so, Karan decides, after suddenly seeing the ill-health of Sadhana, that he is not really a vindictive person, and this is a good family. So he forgives all of them, makes his peace with them, and then leaves the house.
And then the serial starts moving a bit in fast forward more. Both Sadhana and Ragini are now pregnant, enjoying their pregnancy, everybody is happy and in the mood for celebrations. Sadhana however is a bit worried about whether there will be any bad events in the future, and even has a bad dream about Ragini.
The forecast is all about something bad happening in the serial to Sadhana, either in the form of childbirth, or it was rumored, in the form of a bomb blast. Or will it happen to Ragini. But even a future clip shown on the serial shows mourning in the family with heavy rain, with mourning going on for one of the principal cast members. Also, it seems likely that Kinshuk, who plays Ranvir will be leaving the show, whether there will be somebody replacing him, or they will show his character dying off is not sure right now. And there will be a time leap in the show as well.
What will happen next ? Right now the show is showing the festivities regarding the Godbharai celebration for both of them, to happen in the Rajvansh house.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Iss Des Ladoo - Has Ammaji really got transformed after learning that Amba is her own daughter

Is there really a transformatation in Ammaji after she got to learn that Amba is her own daughter ? It is hard to believe that somebody as strong willed as Ammaji will not have the capacity to withstand shocks, but it would seem that the makers of the serial are trying to show that maybe she can also change over a period of time. In this case, Ammaji spent a lot of time tracking down who Amba is, what are her origins, and finally tracked down the Daima of Amba, somebody known to her. This was the same Daima to whom Ammaji had handed over Amba soon after she was born; and this was the same Daima who told Amba later about how Ammaji was her real mother and had handed her over after she was born; thus causing a huge amount of hatred to be formed in Amba against Ammaji.
Now, Ammaji has got to know about Amba, and this is causing a huge amount of emotional turmoil in her; she now understands why Amba hates her; but is there a real change of heart ? That one cannot be sure, and it is doubtful whether anyone knows. The makers of the serial can change the situation anytime, say for example, a couple of weeks later, they can show that this transformation was fake and was meant to find out all those in the household who were supportive of Amba.
For now, Ammaji is trying to be supportive of Amba to some degree, so that when Jogi comes to say something that is against Amba, Ammaji scolds him and sends him away, she tries to act more supportive of Amba; and also comes into view Amba when Amba is sleeping, with the makers of the serial showing her giving a tender look. However, by now Amba refuses to believe that Ammaji can transform in any way; and has sworn to teach the oppressed women of the household how to speak up for themselves and protect their rights; starting with Sia.
