The serial is gradually moving to the stage where a time leap happens and the current generation of people shown in the serial are no longer there. The prime hero and heroine of the serial, Sia and Raghav, will no longer be shown in the serial since they will be shown as having died in the serial.
In the serial, an old enemy of Ammaji, Bhanupratap (Aman Verma), challenges Ammaji that he will destroy her family (like Ammaji destroyed his family earlier) and he will do so when the family is celebrating the impending arrival of new children in the family, at the function to be held in the haveli.
And Ammaji is sure of the strength that she possesses, that she is sure nothing can happen; however Bhanupratap attacks with full force and forces a battle in the haveli and pushes Ammaji and the family away from the haveli. This causes more problems since there are 3 ladies who are pregnant and due to deliver.
Bhanupratap pursues them (with Ammaji running away in full flight, and with many of her men having been killed in the fight), and slowly you see how this proud family is being reduced to a sorry state in this run away from Bhanupratap. The only thing that is saving them to some extent is the fact that Ammaji has managed to keep the sister of Bhanupratap with them, and she has also regained her memory and remembers all that Ammaji did to her family.
In this difficult situation, Amba, the dacoit daughter of Ammaji comes to the rescue, and saves them temporarily from the clutches of Bhanupratap, shooting BP in the leg and hand.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Is Des Ladoo - The serial will take a leap, and both Raghav and Sia will not be there in the post leap time frame
Na Aana Is Des Ladoo is built around the brutal nature of Ammaji, and her control over the local surroundings, and the confrontation that comes in when she is challenged by various people, most primarily by her daughter-in-law Sia (who is supported by Ammaji's youngest son Raghav). In between, Ammaji faces a challenge from her own lost daughter Amba, and then from her own brother-in-law. She manages to overcome all these challenges, even when her other son Gajendra was conspiring against her.
Sia was insulted and humiliated by Ammaji many times, but Sia never did carry out much of a revenge on Ammaji (when in fact Ammaji had caused the public blackening of the face of Sia's father). But the main storyline has been the challenge caused by Sia to the power of Ammaji, especially when Sia defeated Ammaji in the election for the sarpanch of the village and also refused to abort her own children even when it was revealed that she was carrying a girl child.
She had not told Raghav that the child she was carrying was a risk to her own life, and when Raghav got to know, he was furious. But all this is now about to end, since the serial is about to go in for a time leap, with both Raghav and Sia missing after the leap (Raghav gets killed during a confrontation with Bhanupratap (Aman Verma), who has been in jail for 15 years and wants revenge on Ammaji and her family members.
And then Sia dies during childbirth, so the time leap is missing both of them, but Ammaji is still there, and there is Chanda's son also in the picture. In other parts of the story, Sunheri takes back her accusation in the courtroom, which causes Gajendra to get released from the jail.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Is Des Ladoo - Sia suffering from the acts taken by Ammaji
The serial is going through a state of confrontation. The serial also some change in the relationships in the house, where there was a state of confrontation between Sunheri and Ganjendra. Sunheri had always supported Gajji in all his machinations, but she saw his bad side when he was under prosecution for the rape and murder of a maid. He got free from the court action due to the policies of Ammaji, but had to face some tough times from his own wife Sunheri; and Gajendra was unable to take these questions and turned brutal on Sunheri, beating her and then raping his own wife.
Sunheri went into shock at all this, and was supported by the ladies of the house, including Sia. It was Sia who taught her to fight for her rights, and finally Sunheri decide to go against Gajendra in court, to prosecute him for his rape and brutal beating of her. Ammaji and her elder son were totally against this, and Raghav was supportive of Sia and her fight. Finally in court, it was the decision that Ammaji could not stomach, and inspite of all her attempts, the court agreed with the need to punish Gajendra and sentenced him to a 7 year prison sentence. This was something that left Ammaji with very few supporters, with Raghav now against her, and then Gajendra in prison.
Finally, Ammaji played her role, calling a village panchayat where she criticized Sia for carrying a female child against the policies of the village and asked for Sia to get an abortion, something that Sia refused; at which stones were thrown against her until Raghav managed to rescue her. Ammaji did more attempts on Sia, at which Raghav is finally in open protest, and tells Ammaji that he will bring down the haveli if something happens to Sia.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Is Des Ladoo - The elections are near, and Sia is also expecting a baby
The scene is cast in Na Aana Is Des Ladoo. After a long period where it seemed that Sia had given up the fight, she is back in the bitter fight against Ammaji and is standing up against her in the local elections. Something that is troubling Ammaji to a large extent, since she believes that the women of the village would vote for Sia and make things difficult for her.
Raghav is providing full support to Sia in this, and standing up to his mother, something for which she blames Sia, believing that Sia has taken her son away from her. Further, Raghav was a strong person she had, and so this is causing her more problems. Attempts were made to get Raghav away from the campaign, including by attacking him and causing injuries that would prevent him for supporting Sia. However, all this does not deter Raghav and he decides to continue to stand by the side of Sia, including when aspersions were cast on her.
Sia is trying to empower the women of the village, so that they can fight the injustices being done on them, and some of this message is starting to get through to the women, in a couple of cases, women are shown as standing up to their husbands.
Further, the police presence in the village is troubling Ammaji, since the police is preventing injustice being done, and preventing people such as Joginder from causing problems and doing vote fraud. However, Ammaji has one last card up her sleeve. She goes out and claims that she would want people to vote for Sia, especially since Sia is expecting Raghav's child, and she hopes that his action will make sure that all the menfolk will vote for Ammaji, and make them also prevent their wives from going out to vote.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Iss Des Ladoo - Has Ammaji really got transformed after learning that Amba is her own daughter
Is there really a transformatation in Ammaji after she got to learn that Amba is her own daughter ? It is hard to believe that somebody as strong willed as Ammaji will not have the capacity to withstand shocks, but it would seem that the makers of the serial are trying to show that maybe she can also change over a period of time. In this case, Ammaji spent a lot of time tracking down who Amba is, what are her origins, and finally tracked down the Daima of Amba, somebody known to her. This was the same Daima to whom Ammaji had handed over Amba soon after she was born; and this was the same Daima who told Amba later about how Ammaji was her real mother and had handed her over after she was born; thus causing a huge amount of hatred to be formed in Amba against Ammaji.
Now, Ammaji has got to know about Amba, and this is causing a huge amount of emotional turmoil in her; she now understands why Amba hates her; but is there a real change of heart ? That one cannot be sure, and it is doubtful whether anyone knows. The makers of the serial can change the situation anytime, say for example, a couple of weeks later, they can show that this transformation was fake and was meant to find out all those in the household who were supportive of Amba.
For now, Ammaji is trying to be supportive of Amba to some degree, so that when Jogi comes to say something that is against Amba, Ammaji scolds him and sends him away, she tries to act more supportive of Amba; and also comes into view Amba when Amba is sleeping, with the makers of the serial showing her giving a tender look. However, by now Amba refuses to believe that Ammaji can transform in any way; and has sworn to teach the oppressed women of the household how to speak up for themselves and protect their rights; starting with Sia.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Is Des Ladoo - Ammaji growing furious over Amba, but does not know that this is her daughter
Finally the serial makers are showing somebody who can stand up to Ammaji, although there is a sneaking feeling that maybe this challenge will also fizzle out (after all, Sia continues to be a failure in terms of challenging Ammaji, the DM was also a failure, and so far nobody has managed to challenge Ammaji in terms of Amba). The reason she is able to challenge like this is because she has Raghav in her capture and Ammaji would not like to do anything that could cause harm to Raghav. At the same time, Amba is systematically humiliating Ammaji and her sons, something that caused great anger to Ammaji (to the extent that if Raghav was found, Ammaji would kill Amba very easily).
Ammaji is careful that she is not able to try to cause harm to Amba directly without making an attempt to get Raghav out from her clutches, as when Rangeeli wants to kill Amba because of all the insults that have been heaped on her, Ammaji stops her.
The reason behind this anger that Amba feels for Ammaji is that she is actually Ammaji's daughter, one that Ammaji gave away when she was born, because she was a daughter. Amba found out later about this from the Tai who was taking care of her, and was then given away to a family who was part of a group of dacoits, and that is how she is now a dacoit leader and also very angry against Ammaji. Amba wants to change the entire structure of Ammaji's house, remove the huge control that Ammaji has on the house, remove the discrimination against women in the house and is willing to use whatever force is necessary to achieve this.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Is Des Ladoo - Ammaji trying to turn Samar away from Amba, while Amba trying to change things in the haveli
Ever since Amba kidnapped Raghav and keeps him away, she is staying in Ammaji's haveli and trying to change things in the haveli. And Amba seems to have an old problem with Ammaji, and trying to level the scores a bit. Also, seeing how she is, the women in the household who have had a problem with Ammaji such as Sia and Santosh are starting to support her, to the extent that Santosh replies back to Jogi and claims that he will be set right by Amba (and then Jogi dreams about when Raghav is found, and then he will take his revenge against both Amba, and then Santosh).
Other ladies in the house such as Rangeeli who used to misbehave with the others worry about the reaction from Amba to their normal behavior; such as when Amba sentences Rangeeli to starve for a day for misbehaving with Santosh; and then when Rangeeli tries to mix something in the juice that Amba was supposed to drink, she gets caught and has to do 200 situps.
One of Amba's men, Samar, is susceptible to the influence by Ammaji, more so when Ammaji plies with sweets and special drinks, and also plays up to him by claiming that such a powerful man should not be under the influence of a woman leader and should have his own gang. Samar comes under this influence, and seems to start supporting Ammaji, promising her that he would help her by taking Ammaji and her men to save Raghav. However, Amba is suspicious that Samar is falling under the influence of Ammaji and may be close to becoming a traitor.
Now, the basic issue is whether Amba will be able to stay ahead of Ammaji, ensure that Raghav does not run away from his captivity, and that she is able to change the way things are running in the haveli.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Iss Des Ladoo - Ammaji and the gang who have held Raghav custody
In Na Aana Iss Des Ladoo, is Ammaji meeting somebody who can be as ruthless as her ? Ammaji runs the house and village with an iron hand, including killing baby girls, punishing people if they go against her, and so on. She even went to the extent of sending a lady from the village to the District Magistrate to satisfy his desires to save herself from the push that he was making against her. And now, in the midst of her effort to prove that she is the leader, she is facing somebody who can be quite ruthless like her.
In the midst of a horse race, Ammaji is sought to be kidnapped by a gang of dacoits. She manages to escape this effort, but soon after, her son Raghav is kidnapped when he is going to report this to the police. This causes a huge amount of consternation in the house, with Sia being very distressed, and Ammaji spewing fire at the people who could dare do something like this.
And now, when Raghav has been captured, Ammaji is called by the dacoits to hear their demands, being called alone. She does carry a pistol, but does not get much of a chance to use it, since Raghav is in custody.
The matter is that the gang of dacoits is being chased by the police, and they want their leader Amba to get safety in Ammaji's haveli for some time. Ammaji really does not like this, but when the safety of Raghav is at stake, then there is no question of not accepting the demands. She fumes over the treatment she will accord to the dacoits once Raghav is safe, but till that time, she has to do whatever they say.

Hindi TV Serial - Na Aana Iss Des Ladoo - Ammaji attacked during the horse race by some people in black
Santosh is in real trouble. After trying to run away, she is brought back by Ammaji's men who also kill her relative (but not before Santosh has already met another man). When she is brought back to the house, Ammaji insists on the same thing, that Raghav will be the one who will have physical relations with Santosh so that she can have a baby and there will be no question marks on Jogi after that (it's very simplistic to assume that one night of physical relations would result in pregnancy, that too when the situation is very emotionally traumatic). However, Raghav, even though he knew that he never would do such a thing to his bhabhi, agrees to Ammaji and decides to go to Santosh's room. At this, Sia and the other female members of the house are shocked. However, Raghav becomes fully drunk and later tells Santosh that he would never think of touching her, and in the morning, Santosh also tells Sia that everything is fine and that they did not do anything (but at the same time, telling Ammaji that it had happened).
Soon after, Ammaji decides to take part in the horse race, since that is a matter of great pride for her that she is able to defeat the men in the village in the horse race and is shadowed by her men to ensure her safety. However, there are some people in black who are also pursuing her (a new twist in the story), and when Ammaji is in the lead, a rider in black tries to capture Ammaji (at which Raghav manages to save her). In the next, they show a whole gang discussing about how to capture Ammaji, and otherwise trying to capture her children. When Raghav goes to file a report in the police station, he is indeed captured by the same gang, something that shocks the entire household. Now what will happen ?

Na Aana Is Des Ladoo - Ammaji trying other tactics to put a lot of load on Sia after Raghav accepted her
It was a very surprising scene, and not what a lot of fans of Sia would have thought. After all, she had sworn to take revenge against everybody who had mis-treated her and her father, and for that, she had taken up position in Ammaji's house as a servant. And for that, Ammaji, who never trusted her, first made sure that she knew her position very clearly in the house, and treated her exactly like a servant, and not like a daughter-in-law; to the extent that when the DM came to their house for taking one of the ladies for the night, Ammaji put Sia also on display.
And yet, the makers of the serial have shown some stuff that is certainly not part of revenge. Even though Ammaji showed no signs of changing any of her behavior, and remained as evil as ever, Sia saved her life when she was shot by a bullet. And for that, Ammaji had not the slightest amount of gratitude. In fact, Ammaji was planning to get a new daughter-in-law for Raghav, something that he was going through. But it seemed like the ploy that Sia had was to get Raghav won over and respect her as a wife, and he finally accepted her (hardly a mark of revenge, given that Raghav was complicit in many of Ammaji's crimes). It was only when Raghav has accepted her that her status has changed in the household; but even then, Ammaji has not left any chance to still try and get Sia away from Raghav. She managed to persuade Sia not to have a physical relationship with Raghav for 3 months since this has been recommended by the family priest, and then is subjecting Sia to a lot of pressure in the kitchen, making her cook the food for the entire family.

And the Best Mamma’s Boy Award goes to… depiction of mama's boys from various Hindi Serials
The Indian man for long has been caricatured as the perfect ‘mother’s boy’-dutiful, obedient, respectful and forever toeing his mother’s line. Delve into history, look up all the mythologies, in fact even in popular mass media-the definition of a good person and a good son is synonymous. You cannot be one without being the other. Hindi serials too do their bit to uphold and strengthen this notion. The hero is most often and without fail, the good son to his parents. He is unflinching in his duties. He is loving, caring and values the happiness of his mother over and above everything. Here are a few good examples of Hindi televisions’ good sons.
The first position goes to Shubh of Maat Pitah ki Charno Mein. Brought up by his step mother, he worships the ground that she walks on. Her word is the Gospel truth for him and he is willing to go to any lengths to honour her commitments. So much so that he is willing to stay back with his injured step mother rather than pursue the villain who has kidnapped his wife and whose life is in danger. The questions is-does Shubh’s devotion to his mother negates all his other relationships and responsibilities?
Suryakamal, from Do Hanso Ka Joda comes to mind next. Surprisingly, here too the mother is a step mother. Suryakamal’s deference to this sharp tongued woman makes him come across as a wimp. Where is it written that you have to trade in your sense of self respect in order to show love and respect to you parents? Suryakamal is aware of his mother’s undercurrent of jealousy and hatred that laces her feelings and reactions towards him; but instead of standing up he takes it all with a smile.
Next in line are Raghav and Yoginder, Ammaji’s eldest and youngest sons from Na Ana Is Des Mere Laado. While Yoginder is a partner in crime in all of Ammaji’s evil doings, Raghav goes even a step further to prove his devotion. He marries the woman who has been a thorn in his mother’s life and then makes her a servant girl of the family. In order to avenge his mother (a mother who is evil and diabolical), he jeopardises the life of a young girl, destroying her faith in love and relationships. Where is it written that in order to be a good son, you have to give in to all the unjust demands of your mother?
A mother-son relationship is definitely a bond that is above all else. However the most important relation that one has is the one with our own self, our own conscience. Any act or relationship that puts a question mark over this crucial tie cannot be good for the individual.

Na Ana Is Des Mere Laado-Inspired writing helps to take show to No.1 slot!
The team behind the show “Na Ana Is Des Mere Laado” have much to rejoice about. The high voltage drama of the past couple of weeks in which Ammaji was killed off and then brought back in time to nab her killers has helped the show to garner maximum TRPs. It has now become the Number One show across all General Entertainment Channels (Hindi). The entire build up to Ammaji’s (fake) death, the revealing of her true enemies and then her return to prominence and life, very much like the proverbial phoenix, has helped to entertain millions of viewers across the country. Such is the appeal of this show that even men (who generally stay off serials and soaps or so goes the myth) try to not miss an episode.
The escalating pitch of the drama found its culmination point when Dharam Veer and DM Vora were punished by Ammaji, even though the latter did manage to escape. Kudos to the writing team of the serial for they have immediately changed the tone of the show by introducing a love track between Raghav and Sia. Just as viewers were preparing themselves for the full fledged development of this relationship, with some even hoping for Ammaji’s consent to it, the makers decided to add in another twist. They brought in Raghav’s ex girlfriend, Sonali! Even before the lovebirds could have declared their true feelings for each other, the entry of this other woman has added more drama to the show. To top it all, Sonali has even impressed Ammaji who sees in her a reflection of her own younger self.
But there can hardly be a good love story without any obstacle barring its path. Sonali and Ammaji’s mutual admiration society has driven a sharp wedge between Raghav and Sia’s about to flower relationship. In fact Ammaji has made up her mind to marry Sonali to Raghav. In this decision she is supported by her eldest son Yoginder. However the women of the household, namely Jhumar, her mother and Yoginder’s wife are preparing for a silent coup. They have decided to put an end to Ammaji’s tyranny by not allowing the Raghav-Sonali union. They are determined to not allow Ammaji’s wilfulness destroy Raghav and Sia’s happiness for they are convinced that the two are meant for each other. They also believe that if Raghav decides to join hands with the good and righteous Sia, then Ammaji will be dealt a severe blow as it will mean the fall of her most trusted soldier. Indeed if Ammaji’s fall is orchestrated by those who have suffered most due to her and that too in such a silent and peaceful manner, it will symbolise the true victory of the oppressed over the oppressor.

Na aana is des laado - More troubles for Sia and Raghav ?
It seems that Sia and Raghav have to traverse a long distance before their love story can hope to see a logical end. Ammaji’s close brush with death that had been closely averted due to Sia’s timely intervention had helped to open a channel of communication between these two individuals. The love that had lain dormant in Sia’s heart and that Raghav had refused to acknowledge found an outlet courtesy the tragic incident. Raghav grateful to Sia for saving his mother’s life has woken up to his responsibilities as a husband; something that he ignored all these months. He not only went to fetch Sia from the hospital, he started to actually care about her well being.
Just as the viewers were expecting things to turn for the better for the pair of them, Raghav’s past has caught up with him. Sonali, Raghav’s girl friend from London has followed him all the way to Veerpur. Unaware that her boyfriend is now a married man, her sole purpose for coming is to marry Raghav. It seems that they had broken up in London but she realised the depth of her feelings for him after this incident. She is now determined to win him back and settle down with him. Her appearance has put on the brakes for the developing of love and understanding between the lead pair.
Sia is once hurt and does not want to experience the same disappointment all over again. Her thawing emotions seem ready to go back on the ‘freeze’ mode as she is convinced that Raghav will once again betray her faith in him. Raghav on the other hand has a tough task on his hand as now he has to begin afresh. On the one hand he has to convey the message to his ex girlfriend that he has moved on; on the other hand he has to convince Sia that he has developed true feelings for her. Given the fact that none of the ladies concerned are willing to listen to him, Raghav really has his work cut out.
To add to all this is Ammaji’s apparent and instantaneous liking for Sonali. In Sonali she sees a reflection of her own self. Sonali like Ammaji is someone who is head strong, willing to grab whatever she sets her heart on, has a liking for power and both of them like Raghav immensely. Ammaji likes the fact that Sonali is someone who can manage both her property and her home. She is already looking ahead and planning for the wedding. The viewers are rooting for Raghav and Sia but whether Ammaji will let her favourite son fall for her enemy (Sia) remains to be seen.

Ammaji - Audacity is thy name!
Ammaji’s audacity knows no bounds. First she staged the drama of her own death, thereby convincing her enemies to come out in the open and declare themselves. Having drawn out Dharam Veer Singh and District Magistrate Vohra, she flogged her own brother-in-law to an almost-dead state. Not being satisfied with this, she then tied the man to the end of her jeep and dragged him all over the village and threw him to the wild animals. Forbidding him to ever enter the village she punishes not only him but his entire family; as he is husband to one and father to two.
Instrumental in saving her life has been Sia, married to her youngest son Raghav but who she has reduced to the position of a servant girl in the house.Sia proved her mettle as a fine woman when she threw herself in the line of the bullet that was meant to kill Ammaji. Honoring a human life more than all the resentment (justifiably so) that she has against Ammaji and her cruel ways, she arrives just in time to warn Ammaji of the threat to her life. Had it not been for her timely intervention Ammaji would have surely fallen prey to Dharam Veer and DM Vohra’s schemes.
Grievously injured by a bullet meant for Ammaji, Sia mourns her mother-in-law’s death in the hospital. Her husband Raghav, who has so far treated her like an object of disdain, arrives to give her the good news and take her home. Sia’s act of bravery has changed Raghav’s attitude towards her. He is immensely grateful and profoundly moved by her action. He seems softer, gentler in his approach and for the first time acts like a caring husband. However Ammaji is not happy seeing her favourite son being nice to someone whom she considers to be a servant of the house. She even goes on to say that Sia’s act of bravery is something that is expected of her position, that of a servant girl. She adds that by taking the bullet meant for her, Sia was only fulfilling her role, her duty. Such audacity! Such Impudence! Instead of being indebted to Sia, she humiliates her further by adding that Raghav should not have gone to fetch her from the hospital as that was a job befitting her (as in Ammaji’s) bodyguards. Even her ever loyal guards are stunned into disbelief by this callous remark.
The growing intimacy between Raghav and Sia is making Ammaji uncomfortable as Raghav is her most trusted soldier and her favorite son. If he is lost to the good Sia, Ammaji will be one warrior short. Will Ammaji be a mute spectator to this new development or will her diabolical mind put an end to Sia and Raghav’s closeness-only time will tell.

Na Ana Is Desh Mere Lado - Ammaji - What power does to a woman
Na Ana Is Desh Mere Lado can be the subject for a very interesting sociological study on the concept of ‘power’. Power logically ought to be sexless, genderless. The long association of power with the male gender has made the two concepts almost synonyms of each other. The relation between the powerful and powerless also is best exemplified by the man-woman gender divide and bias. Men are more or less in all given situations the dominant element-aggressive, in your face, almost brutish. And they go to any lengths to retain the throne of power, subduing all attempts made by women to tilt the scale of balance of power. Woman are more docile, submissive malleable; not only in their demeanour and attitude but also in their stance. Thus it so happens that if ever a woman were to scale the position of power, her internal and external self becomes more ‘male-like’.
Ammaji is the best example that one can use to support this argument. She is the centre of power in her domain, Veerpur. But here the rules, hierarchy, structure, roles, and systems that she lords over and protects are those that are male oriented. So she does not hesitate to carry out female infanticide, scorning the womb that nurtures a girl child and celebrating the ones that produce boys. She gets her sister-in-law flogged by her husband (Ammaji’s brother-in-law) just because she had dared to give birth to a girl. She is even willing to use her niece as a pawn to win favours from the evil District Magistrate Vora. Thus in spite of the fact that she is a woman, while acting out her role of the village head she follows essential male standards and precedents.
Even while doling out punishments, she chooses ways and means that are more popular with men. She prefers to whip her adversary, Dharam Veer Singh (guilty of having conspired to kill her) using her favourite whiplash. She does not shy away from using those means of punishment that will involve using considerable physical strength on her part. Like a man she ties the same villain to the back of her jeep (a vehicle driven mostly by men and that she drives herself) and drags him all around the village as an example, to instil fear into the hearts of all those who might have hopped to bring her down.
Her Machiavellian mind works like a man as exemplified by the manner in which she entrapped Dharam Veer Singh and DM Vohra-pretending to be dead so as to suss out the enemy. Even her external gait, her postures are more akin to a man’s. In order to retain the legitimacy of her crown she has to fulfil her role like a man. For with the passage of time, power has essentially become a man’s domain and women have to kowtow to male stereotypes.

Ammaji - Back from Hell - Na Aana Is Des Laado
For the first time in the history of television history, the return of the antagonist is being highly anticipated. Ammaji, tormentor of innumerable hapless souls, including her own immediate family, has been resurrected and is back to make life hell for all those who conspired behind her back. Dharam Veer, chief conspirator and the man behind all the devious plotting got to enjoy the spotlight only for this teeny weeny bit before the harsh reality of life had him bamboozled. His poor wife fell on her knees and begged him to spare his own flesh and daughter, Jhoomar, from the evil clutches of DM Vohra, but he refused her ardent pleas. He in fact went one step further, severing all ties with his legally wedded wife and reduced her to the status of a servant girl. He also took on as consort, his mistress, a person whose black designs equal his own.
He disowns his own son since the latter had dared to raise his voice against the injustice of his father’s actions. Pride truly comes before a fall and Dharam Veer proved this saying right by accepting his role in the conspiracy to finish off Amma-ji. Deluded with his own sense of invincibility he freely admitted to the crime and then sat upon the very throne that used to belong to Ammaji pushing aside her beetle leaf container. As the priests move in to perform the sacred rites of passage to confer upon him the title of “King”, justice prevails and the rightful owner of the title returns, amidst much shock and awe.
It is a testimony to the immense popularity of Meghna Mathur’s characterisation of Ammaji that for the first time ever, the return of a negative character is being so eagerly anticipated. Yes, she is vile and evil and her cruelty knows no bound. Yet for the audience there is no Na Aana Is Des Mere Lado without Ammaji. It is her role that pulls in all the eyeballs. And even though people want her to be punished but they want that punishment to come from someone who has been wronged by her. This undignified end to such a larger than life character was something that the audience could not reconcile to. The audience is perceptive enough to understand that while Ammaji is wrong, yet she is caught in a trap where in order to survive in a man’s world, she has to play like a man. So Meghna Desai, take a bow, your Ammaji has truly worked her way into the hearts of the viewing audience.

Dharam Veer Singh finally shows his true ‘colors’ - Na Aana Iss Des Ladoo
As Amma-ji was felled by the sole bullet from the assassin’s gun, many viewers were waiting for a dramatic comeback of this very powerful, larger-than-life lady. We were willing her to fight back the evil designs of fate and walk out of that surgery room, full guns blazing. But Alas! That didn’t happen. She too turned out to be mortal, succumbing to her injury and to all the plotting that had been going on behind her back. As the track stands today, Ammaji is officially dead. For those amongst the audience who were not willing to believe this inevitable, the makers of the show repeatedly made her sons lift off the cover of her shroud, as if to confirm to us the viewers “see she is really really dead”.
So what now? We were not left pondering over this pertinent question for long as the very hands that robbed Ammaji of her life, her own brother-in-law Dharam Veer Sangwan, staked his claim to the vacant throne. Emerging out of his dead sister-in-law’s shadow, he is now free to show off his evil side without any fear. His first move was to sack all old and faithful to Ammaji guards and servants. But he did it smartly, saying that how could he entrust the old guards to protect his remaining family members when they had been unable to save Ammaji. One really cannot argue with this faultless line of reasoning. In one single stroke he has rendered his nephews, powerless.
Secure in the knowledge that his most potent threats, Ammaji’s loyal sons and his own off spring have been made vulnerable and weak, he has now organised a gala affair for his official crowning as the “Maai-Baap” (King) of Dharampur. To this event he has invited his most trusted ally, a man as crooked as he is, District Magistrate Vora(a sworn enemy of Ammaji). Such is his debasement that he offers the women of his family as payment (in kind) to the said District Magistrate. As Raghav, Ammaji’s youngest and most loyal son, plunges at him at this outrageous ask, he turns around and asks a pertinent question, “Didn’t your own mother do the same while she was alive? Did you stop her then? If not why are you stopping me now?” Of course, Raghav had no answer to this as he had stood a mute spectator as Ammaji had offered Jhumar to the said D.M. a few months back. True to his nature, the D.M. picked Jhumar as the men of the family imprisoned in the hands of strong bodyguards fumed and the women whimpered. But is Ammaji really dead or will she like the proverbial phoenix rise up from her ashes-that is what remains to be seen.

Ammaji died on Na Aana Is Desh Ladoo on Colors
The serial, appearing on Colors weekdays at 10:30 PM has suddenly seen a major change. Ammaji was the terror of the whole area, acting like a total local dictator, and causing immense grief to the women of her household. Initially they showed her as responsible for killing women infants, but they soon stopped showing those. However, Ammaji was shown as acting in a most villanious way in the way she behaved against Chanda and against Sia (deceiving Sia by showing her son in a good way, but her son quickly reverted back to being a true son of Ammaji and portraying Sia as a girl of loose morals).
However, in all this, Ammaji made some deadly rivals. Earlier, by throwing the DM out, and then managing to win the court against her, she made a deadly enemy in the shape of the DM, who never accepted his humiliation at the hands of Ammaji. In addition, her brother-in-law and her son both have been trying out how to kill Ammaji by making it look like an accident. But Ammaji escapes every time. Her local pandit also gave her a warning that she was in danger if she steps outside the house.
In the end, the DM got Annaji to out come out in public by inviting her to stand as a candidated for an. For this, she was willing to defeat the words of the pandit who warned how about going out, and finally, despite Siya trying to save Ammaji, Ammaji was doomed.

Na Aana Is Des Ladoo - Jhoomar saves Ammaji, but then ..
Na Aana Is Des Ladoo continues to show how Ammaji gets saved from all possible situations. When the District Magistrate is unable to get Jhoomar from Ammaji for satisfying his lust (a depiction of a DM that angered the Government), he threatens Ammaji with jail for the crime of pocketing all the relief supposed to be given to farmers. Obviously, it is difficult to find farmers who would be willing to give evidence against Ammaji, but the DM uses his own force to convince somebody to do so. Ammaji's men manage to grab this person, but the DM is warned by Ammaji's own angry son about the location of the farmer.
However, in the court case, Ammaji gets a relief when Jhoomar gives evidence against the DM (although why a case of wrongful pocketing of relief could be changed by a character problem), and he goes back triumphantly home. At home however, things get problematic when Jhoomar's potential husband runs away since Jhoomar is now tainted after her testimony. Ammaji is wild, literally seeming crazy, and orders that the groom and his family be found no matter what; and they apparently are able to find the groom finally.

Na Aana Is Des Ladoo - the depths of human behaviour
Na Aana Is Des Ladoo on Colors is going through a major social problems. When the local District Magistrate / Collector came to investigate Ammaji over the relief money she had pocketed, one had expected that this would lead to problems to Ammaji. However, it would seem that the makers of the serial had different ideas about the story, something that a lot of people would not expect.
So, in this case, the DM turned out to be one of the worst form of humans, one who is going to use the power of his Government position (and a Collector in a rural area is extremely powerful, since the DM represents the Government in these areas, and also has a lot of influence and power over the police) to fulfil his lust. He threatens Ammaji with jail unless she arranges women for him.
The first night, Ammaji arranges for a woman from the village for him, but that apparently is not enough for him. On the second day, he applies pressure on Ammaji to get one woman from Ammaji's own mansion, something that shocks Ammaji, but she has no way to not fulfil the request. She ensures that none of her daughter-in-laws appears in front of the DM, only the servants of the house (which includes Chandra and Sia). Other members of the house (her sons) are also disgusted by the DM's behaviour, but they still don't have a way of refusing. Finally the DM selects Ghoomar, who lives like a servant in the house, but is actually a daughter of the house.
