Hindi TV Serial - Looteri Dulhan - Cheating people on a regular basis, by marring them and deserting them

Once in a while, you hear the story of a person who has cheated some gullible men by marring them and then decamping with their valuables. This is contrary to the story where women are cheated and tormented in their marriage. The story revolves around this girl Billo, from a Haryana family, who is part of the plan to marry older men, then steal all their belongings. In their life, they pretend to be sari traders so that their neighbors think that they make their living from this business.
Billo is not the daughter of the family, she is instead an orphan who was adopted by the family and brought up for the purpose of this cheating. She is an orphan because when she was very young, there was severe flooding in the village and she got separated from the children. Part of her hopes that when she gets married, she also meets her family in the wedding somewhere.
And to her astonishment, in one of these marriages, she does meet her father, who also does her kanyadan and gives her away in marriage. Now, since her real father has given her away, she believes that this is a sign to her to be honest, and she decides that this marriage will be the real thing, and she will do all she can to be good and honest. But, in a twist of fate, things turn out the other way and the person to whom she got married to is already married, and he is married to a lady who is really sick, he needs the Looteri Dulhan for that - to take care of her.
Billo is attached to them, and takes her work seriously. The show changes away from the characters of Billo's family and towards her new family.

Hindi TV Serial - Gunahon Ka Devta - Arpita dies after falling from the terrace and being thrown into the river

The serial has given a big shock to all its viewers. The serial started out with the love between Avdesh Thakur, a big gangster of the area, and a young girl named Arpita. They eventually marry, even though the elder sister-in-law of Avdesh has not been in favor of Arpita, and always tried some way of showing down Arpita while not making it obvious. But Arpita had always been dedicated to Avdesh and overcomes all issues and problems.
Avdesh gets into problems when a police official decides that he wants to get rid of Avdesh and targets Avdesh with all the power that he has; Arpita on the other hand wants to ensure that Avdesh gives up all his crimes, his being a gangster and tries to keep on ensuring that he does not directly confront the police officer; this involves a long game of hiding from the police officer when he chases Avdesh,including struggling in the jungle.
But, things start turning a bit bad for Arpita when she gets implicated in a scam by Ranvijay. He threatens her that he will prevent the marriage of Avdesh's sister unless Arpita sends the night with him. She is very puzzled by this, since she knows that if she tells Avdesh, he will take direct and hard action. However, this problem drags her down since due to a turn in circumstances, it becomes known that she had gone to Ranvijay's house and Avdesh also gets to know about this; he refuses to believe this initially when he hears about this, but slowly becomes convinced.
When he asks Arpita about this, he gets suspicious about her behaviour, and even though she asks him to believe her, he pushes her away. In this situation, she falls down from the terrace, and then Bauji's man throws her into the river, where she dies. Her body is brought back to the house, and she is then cremated. The rider in this is that Arpita will apparently come back to the show in the form of another girl.

Hindi TV Serial - Geet - Hui Sabse Parai - Geet told her truth, and Mann accepted it after some drama

The serial moves fairly fast. From the time when Geet had a fake engagement with Mann to ensure that Mann's grandmother was feeling fine, things moved fairly fast. Geet was uncomfortable with the fact that she was hiding her past from Mann, and told Mann that she was pregnant. For Mann, who believed that he was in love with Geet, and that she also liked him, this was a big shock and he treated like she had betrayed him.
However, Geet was determined to tell him the truth about what had happened to her, and inspite of the fact that Mann started treating her with suspicion, and even showed some amount of distaste for her, Geet finally managed to get Mann into a room, and told him about what all had happened to her - her marriage by her family to an eligible NRI called Dev, his abandoning her after one night, the anger of her family against her for the pregnancy, and the attempt to end the pregnancy. She basically asks Mann as to what is her fault in all this, and Mann really cannot say anything. However, Mann does say that he thought that she was his, something that really shocks her.
She starts running away from her, and Mann soon realizes his mistake. He also realizes that he behaved badly towards her, and decides that he wants her in his life, even with her pregnancy. However, by that time, she has run away and people are not willing to tell him where she has gone. He finally manages to track her down at the railway station and brings her back after a little drama. They are now together, and both know that they love each other a lot, but they still have some amount of playful banter.
At the same time, Dev is reformed, after his wife Nayantara leaves, and his school friend comes to him; and he confesses all his past misdeeds to her.

Hindi TV Serial - Rahna Hain Teri Palkon Ki Chaon Mein - The serial comes to an end on 17 September, with Suman avenging her death

The serial came to an abrupt end on the 17th of September, 2010, and in a very strange way. The serial was exploring the life of Suman, who fell in love with Karan, was admired by the other brother Karthik, got married to Karan who was supposed to have died during the honeymoon. Further, she suffered a lot when she became a widow (including the various social pressures and isolation that a widow faces), but Karthik was always supporting her. And then she was supposed to be married to Karthik, when Karan decides to come back. However, she was married to Karthik, with Karan standing by (after coming back from a coma, induced by Suman's rival Nandini who wants to marry Karthik, and who thinks that getting Karan back will help in preventing Suman from getting married to Karthik).
The serial finally ended on a very strange note, with a huge touch of the supernatural. The story goes that there was another lady who was mad after Karthik, called Niharika. She decides to get rid of Suman, kidnaps her, and throws her off a cliff, and Suman dies. She further pretends that she has Karthik's baby in her womb, and hence there is social pressure to get them married. However, Suman's urge to protect Karthik is so strong that she comes back from the dead in the form of a spirit, in order to get Niharika to confess to her crimes.
Niharika gets to know that Suman is indeed dead, that it is her spirit, and yet is unable to convince the other house members to do the same. She even shows them a mirror in which Suman cannot be seen, but the others do not accept. Suman agrees to let Karthik and Niharika marry, but then gets Niharika to get scared enough that she confesses to her crime and is arrested by the police and then Suman vanishes.

Hindi TV Serial - Bandini - Megha going full on drama, killing Santu and DM, and getting Vishal back

Bandini is one serial that moves fairly fast, not takes too much time for the story to do its twists and turns (not drawn out like many other serials). Right now Bandini is going through a major drama, with Megha out of jail (somebody bailed her out). At the same time, there was a confrontation regarding Sarang, where it became clear to everybody that Sarang's marriage to Birwa was a sham. However, worryingly, Monghi had become close to Sarang before she was told about the truth of Sarang by Birwa, and she is now pregnant with Saran's child. Her medical condition is that she cannot abort this child, and now the fact is out in the open. DM hears all this, and then kicks Sarang out. Sarang comes under the influence of Megha, and goes to the panchayat to save his children.
In a twist of how rural justice can be so much like the Taleban, first the panchayat thinks of stoning Monghi for her unmarried motherhood, but then Santu scares Sarang by getting them to also blame Sarang for the same crime, and that he should be stoned as well. However, Santu saves Monghi from a punishment by using the presence of an unborn child to save this kind of stoning, and instead gets them exiled from the village.
At the same time, Megha is determined to get her revenge, and plans a major event to kidnap Vishal and also get rid of Santu and DM. She has a number of men to do her doing, and even though Santu and Monghi know of her plan, and Santu ensures that DM knows all this; and yet they are unable to stop Megha from doing what she wants to do. Santu keeps Vishal in a safe place, and yet Megha enters the house in the disguise of a maid.

Hindi TV Serial - Bandini - Santu realizes the truth about Megha, comes back to challenge her and take her place back

The show is getting real weird. It keeps on showing the central character of Santu suffering problems (sometimes of her own making, including when she believes anything without adequate proof, and consequently, suffers later) and then overcoming them over a period of time. The current situation in the show is something similar.
Around 6 months back, the show suffered a major problem when there was shown to be a past relationship between DM and Megha, with DNA tests showing that Vishal was the son of DM (even though DM denied that there was ever a relationship between him and Megha). When Santu sees this, she breaks up with DM and wants DM to give Vishal his due as well as the proper rights for Megha (although by her logic, Santu should continue to be the one who should get the most rights from DM).
However, even when DM goes to get her back, Santu refuses to go back, and then, based on the perception that people may feel wrong about DM and Megha, DM agrees to marry Megha. And then it happens. Santu comes across some evidence that indicated that there is a lot of wrong in the claims made by Megha, and comes back to confront Megha. However, the evidence that she had is no longer available, most likely taken by Megha.
Now, the family is against her, and DM also is not in her favor, but Santu is used to such odds in the past. Megha is conspiring with Motiben to cause lots of problems for Santu, and now, there are rumours that the show may go in for another time shift in the future. If something like that happens, then it would seem really odd.

Hindi TV Serial - Bandini - Moullick dies, killed by his own mother Motiben, after it is revealed that he is the kidnapper

There is one nice thing about the serial Bandini, it moves fairly fast. In the recent episodes, they have combined 2 different stories, and made one common story, which seems to have ended for now.
One story was about the relation between Megha and DM, which Santu was very curious about, and which DM wants to hide from her, other than telling her that she should not mix too much with Megha, and be careful of who all she interacts with.
Further, the next story was about the kidnapping of a lot of children, including Vishal and Nandini, with the kidnapping being done by men under the control of Maullick. Santu had felt that Maullick had changed, and she wanted to get him a chance to get better, but maybe the serial makers felt that it was time to remove him from the serial, and they decided that he will be the main star for a couple of episodes, and then vanish from the serial.
And so, when Maullick had kidnapped the children, Suraj managed to do some detective work, and find the location of the children, and managed to get all of them except for Vishal, who was in another room. At not finding Vishal, Megha goes frantic, and also tells DM the truth, that Vishal was the son of DM (but they do not explain the scenario in which DM and Megha came in contact).
The demand is for a huge amount of money - Rs. 100 crore. Eventually Motiben detects that the kidnapper is Maullick and goes to confront him, since she now believes that her son has gone beyond the limit, and in the final confrontation, shoots him dead when he has the gun on Vishal. She is now in jail, and they are taking the body for final respects.

Hindi TV Serial - Bandini - Kidnapping of the children and demand for money

In Bandini, things have suddenly become more serious. All the children (including those of Kaddu, Megha, and many others in the neighborhood) have been kidnapped from their bus, and the bus driver was badly injured. Now, everybody is really worried, with the kidnappers having sent a brief communication that this is because of enmity with DM's family and they need a ransom amount of Rs. 80 crore for giving all the children back (and Rs. 80 crore is a huge amount of money for this purpose).
But after this, there has been no communication with the kidnappers. In the meantime, DM is not there in the house and not reachable by phone, and the other people (including Megha) whose children have been kidnappers are applying pressure on the family to get their children back. So now the family is trying to see how much cash they can generate quickly in order to pay the ransom award, including all the jewellery that they possess (one could see that they were able to generate around Rs. 25-30 crore from within the house itself - which is a huge amount of money).
Birwa claims that she will be able to generate more money from the factory, and for this, she needs the help of Monghi (the plan being that there are crude diamonds that need to be processed in order to get the required sum of money). She tries to praise Monghi, but gets rebuffed by Monghi since Monghi blames Birwa for hating her from the beginning, and that Monghi is doing this for the family, not for Birwa.
In the meantime, Vishal is able to negotiate with the kidnappers for getting some medicines for Krishna who is ill; the kidnappers admire Vishal for being so bold and want about him being so bold, he could cause problems.

Hindi TV Serial - Bandini - Santu hears that her pregnancy will face medical problems and issues

Things seem to be looking for Santu and Dharamraj in recent times. Santu and DM have become much closer, and then things become even happier when it is revealed that Santu is pregnant and is going to have a child (does not seem a bit strange that DM already has a grandson from his children, and he will now have a child that is younger than his grandson - one thought that such things only happened long time back, not in the current). When this is revealed in the family, everybody is very happy for Santu and for Dharamraj.
Now, there is something that is starting to get fishy with respect to Dr. Megha and her relation with DM which is something that DM is keeping a secret (currently a secret even from viewers of the serial); but Dr. Megha is also treating Santu, and asks her a lot of questions about her family medical history. And then Dr. Megha tells Santu a shocking news, that her baby is not normal, will be born abnormally in terms of both physical and mental status, and that she should tell her family that the pregnancy will need to be terminated.
Santu is shocked at this news, and is very worried about how she can tell the family this (even though she knows that the family will support her), but when everybody is so happy about this, how can she spread such bad news in the family, and is not sure of a time when she can tell this in the family and to DM. In the meantime, DM is making preparations for the arrival of the baby; she even questions God about why God is doing this to them. Dr. Megha in the meantime is pushing Santu to go in quickly for an abortion, and for that, she needs to tell the family about this event.

Hindi TV Serial - Jyoti - Finally Jyoti understands that she wants to be with Kabir only, while Pankaj realizes that he will do anything for the child

In Jyoti, there are 2 separate tracks going on with the 2 men in Jyoti's life, one being Pankaj who kicked her out of his life and refused to accept that the child she was carrying was his. And as a part of this, he has now learnt from Brij that whatever he had learnt in the past was all false, and that the child that Jyoti is carrying is his. And he is now determined to do whatever it takes to get the forthcoming child back to him, to the extent that he is now willing to even reply back to his Choti Man. He is consulting with his lawyer to determine the best possible method for this, and this could even including marrying Jyoti to ensure that the child remains with him. For this, he is willing to divorce his wife Neelam (since it has now become clear that relations between the 2 of them are not so cordial, including when he caught Neelam with somebody else and learnt that she does not really consider him a husband).
On the other hand, Jyoti has been battling with her feelings for Kabir, since her friendship with him has been very strong - he seems a perfectly understanding and no-pretences guy who also seems to be a very good friend. And he has made it very clear that he wants to marry her and will prove to be a good dad for her future child even when the child is not his. It is only when he is leaving that she realizes that she does not want him to leave and chases his to the train station where like a filmy end, it seems that he has left, and when she turns, she sees him. Padma is not happy at this, but others in her family support her; when Pankaj learns about his, he is very angry and wants to do anything that will prevent control of the child from going to somebody else.

Hindi TV Serial - Bandini on Imagine TV - Sarang trying to get close to Monghi, and DM hiding a secret from Santu

Bandini is a popular serial on Imagine TV, but is slowly starting to meander with new stories getting created now in order to keep the serial ongoing. So it is starting to happen with Bandini. DM knows the truth about Santu, and about the fact that she did not kill Arjan. And then there are events that seem a bit stretched.
So, Sarang is shown as a money hunter, whom Birwa had known in college but had left when she found out that he was after her money. However, later he comes after her, and then pursues Monghi when he finds out that Birwa will do anything to prevent Sarang from spoiling Monghi's life. Birwa is however careful, she has transferred all her belongings to Monghi before the marriage so that Sarang cannot get hold of all her valuables and belongings after the marriage. She tells this to Sarang with some relish, and he of course is shocked to know this; but the result of this is he starts to pursue Monghi again, and she seems to be falling under his spell even though he has shaken her confidence once. However, all Birwa needs to do is to tell DM about the truth, and DM will do whatever it takes to stop Sarang, but she does not do that.
On the other hand, another story is happening with regard to some secret that DM knows. This is related to a Dr. Megha who comes to their house to treat Nandini, and then it turns out that DM was avoiding her since DM apparently shares some secret with her in the past, and does not want Santu to find out what the secret is. But like any other secret, this secret will also be sure to be revealed soon.

Hindi TV Serial - Desi Girl - A new reality show on Imagine TV, getting city girls to live in villages

The majority of India lives in its villages, and the life in villages is very different from that of its towns and cities. There are more activities related to agriculture, farming, animal care, getting water, etc than are present in cities (in fact, some of these activities are not even there in the cities). It is often said that true life in India is like that in the villages, and so you why not come up with a concept where you take city girls, unused to life in the villages, and make them do stuff in the villages and spin a reality show around it. So, you will have activities related to milking cows, dealing with the yuckiness of cow dung (including making cakes from this cow dung), cooking food in the traditional style (without the comfort of modern cooking styles).
So you take 8 glamorous girls from the modern city life (the girls being Sambhavna Seth, Kashmera Shah, Roshni Chopra, Monica Bedi, Anmol Singh, Rucha Gujarati, Ishitta Arun and Aushima Sawhney), and transplant them with rural families. The test - they have to show through numerous tasks that they are suitable for living in the 'real' India.
And then they go through numerous tasks, with a process of elimination removing them from the reality show one by one. Some of the other tasks that they would need to do are: bathing the cows and buffaloes, eating the oily food, washing clothes. In between, you can see that they are not used to doing tasks such as these and complain, but this is the format of the show and they have to do this. And like any other reality show, they all want to win and reach the end.

Hindi TV Serial - Mahima Shani Dev Ki - A mythological serial on Imagine TV, about a feared character

The concept of Shani, or the planet of Shani among astrological references, is a controversial one. When people talk of Shani Dev, it is seen as a reference of bad times to fall on someone, with many pandits stating that such bad times fall for a period of 7 years. The vision of Lord Shani, mounted on a black vulture or raven, is sure to scare anybody, and most people worry when their fortunes are told, and they are informed that there is a sign of Shani on their horoscopes.
However, this concept of Shani Dev is not totally correct; the actual reference is to a deity who rewards or punishes people based on their deeds (or misdeeds).
To this end, there is a show that was started by Imagine TV, created by Sagar Productions. The show started on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 8:00 p.m, and now appears every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on Imagine TV, at 8 PM. This God was the son of 2 other deities, Sun-God Surya and Chhaya; and this reference of Shani Dev as a dangerous deity is very much clear with the mythological story about how when Shani Dev opened his eyes for the first time as a baby, the sun went into an eclipse.
The show attempts to show Shani Dev in a much more positive light, where Shani Dev punishes wrong acts, and also seeks to destroy the egos and pride that people have. Each episode will have a story that showcases how Shani Dev seeks to improve the plight of people who stay on the path of the right, and punishes those who are clearly on the wrong.

Hindi TV Serial - Bandini - Santu welcomes as the true Bandini by DM, and Birwa shocks Sarang in the question of money

DM got a huge shock when he got to know the real truth behind who actually killed Arjan; Birwa confesses the truth to him tearfully, and requests him not to let Santu go out of the house. DM, even though earlier he knew that Santu had done a lot for the house, was still very surprised by what happened in this case and the sacrifices that Santu has made (and spending 10 years in jail to protect DM's daughter was something that was a very high level of sacrifice).
He prevents Santu from going, calls the sacrifice she has made as very high, that even though none of the children of the house are her own, she still is now the mother of all these children and will remain so with her never leaving the house - in fact, she is the proper Bandini for DM and a true wife to him.
On the other hand, Sarang is flying in the air ever since he got married to Birwa, since part of the marriage conditions (which Birwa had to agree to to prevent him from marrying Monghi) was that Birwa would surrender all her properties to him; something that she eventually did after a few days of the marriage. In between, Sarang tries to flirt with a lady doctor but had to face ridicule after it turned out that the doctor was the fiancee of his future business partner.
And then the ultimate shock for Sarang; he had to go to a lawyer for knowing the huge amount of assets that Birwa would have turned over to him, and he was expecting something in the range of 10-30 crores, and then was hugely shocked to learn that this was only Rs. 15,000. Birwa, cleverly, had turned over all her assets to somebody else before she got married to Sarang, leaving only a small amount, since she knew that eventually they would need to get married and she wanted to ensure that Sarang would never get hold of her money (and that he was so stupid that he would never know what Birwa was doing)

Hindi TV Serial - Bandini - The return of Sandeep to the show and Santu planning to leave the show

Finally the truth is out. Dharamraj had calculated that the last person to stop Santu from going would be the person who would be behind the death of Arjan, and so it proved. Finally Birwa came to him and told him that she had to tell him a big truth, and then the truth was out. DM told Birwa that she must have killed Arjan, and she agreed. She did this since at that time, DM's life was in danger with Arjan attacking DM and Birwa having to stab Arjan in the back to save the life of her father. Santu took the blame and forbade Birwa from telling anybody anything; she wanted to prevent the scene of Birwa going to jail at such a young age; the only thing she wanted Birwa to do was to be good, be very capable and ensure that she is a success.
And with this emotional scene, Birwa left from there; she told DM that Santu cannot be sent from the house, she was the glue of the house, the whole basis on which the house was running. DM is shocked to hear this, he never really believed that Santu was the one who stabbed Arjan, but now is sure about all the sacrifices that Santu made for the family.
In an earlier incident, Nandini was diagnosed with a illness for which she needed a blood transfusion, and it turned out that Sandeep was the one who could do the required donation. Santu managed to convince him to do the donation, and for that, she would get him out of jail for one day. Sandeep accepted, but had no intention of doing this, instead he ran from there and wanted to get out. However, he was finally caught soon after he held Nanaji and Monghi hostage at their house and Santu managed to detect that Sandeep was there. However, in return for finally donating the blood, he bargained to get his freedom and a return back to the house; now there are 2 bad son-in-laws in the house, Sandeep and Sarang; eventually they will also need to be cured or thrown out.

Hindi TV Serial - Bandini on Imagine TV - Santu again faced with the question of whether she killed Arjan

In Bandini, like in any hindi serial, no happiness comes without some problems. So it is in the case of Bandini. Soon after she realizes that Birwa is not actually what seems to be, and in fact, is trying to save Monghi from the advances of a villanious Sarang. She manages to do, but at the sacrifice of having to marry Sarang and also sign over her property to her. And she was not able to tell this to anyone, only reveal it to Santu, that too when Santu finds the letters that Birwa had written to her.
However, there is a new complication for Santu. DM's sister, Motibhen is back, and this time she is determined to be a thorn in Santu's life. She wants to celebrate the marriage of Sarang and Birwa and prohibits DM from opposing her. DM is fine with this. Monghi remains angry with Santu for seemingly supporting Birwa even though Birwa caused this turmoil in the life of Monghi. And then Motibhen insists that DM divorce Santu, since even though she has been sentenced to 10 years in court, it is not the justice of Dharamraj that his son's killer lives in the house, and says that she will go to Ahmadabad to prepare the necessary papers.
Now, DM is in a fix. He has been told by Motibhen to take the necessary decision keeping in mind his reputation as a decision maker; he eventually tells Santu that either she tell him the truth, or she be prepared to end the relationship. Santu is very troubled at this decision by DM, but it would be very hard for her to tell DM the truth about who actually killed Arjan, since she lied to save a person, and is not likely to go back. But the truth would come out in some way, maybe Birwa will tell the truth.

Hindi TV Serial - Bandini - Santo finds out the truth about Birwa, and Sarang turns out to be the wrong one

What an incredible 2 episodes. Just goes to show that a serial can do anything it want, turn any character any which way, and as long as you leave some logic aside, with the script in your control, everything can be changed. In the past weeks, Sarang was in love with Monghi, and Birwa was the one who was apparently trying to stop this relationship, and in the end, she does manage to do so, getting married to Sarang just before he was to get married to Monghi - and this caused everyone to get angry, and for DM to declare a somewhat weaker link with Birwa after this.
Santu was not convinced that the marriage between Birwa and Sarang was totally real, and kept on trying to determine what was the reason for this sudden marriage, and what pressure could be on Sarang to agree to the marriage; and she openly tells Birwa that she will find out the real reason for the marriage - and in the end, by reading old stuff and by even opening Birwa's cupboard, she is able to determine some of what has happened.
What seems clear to Santu after reading older stuff is that Birwa is not what she appears to be; she has written many letters to Santu about how she is trying to ensure that she takes on the family responsibility by handling the business when DM withdrew from the family and everything; and then Santu confront Birwa about this.
And the truth comes out - Sarang knew Birwa at college, but she discovered that he was after her money, and hence she left him. He came after her, and finally discovered that she cared for Monghi, and as a result, when nothing seemed to work, she had to marry Sarang to ensure that he did not marry Monghi; even earlier, when she was strict with Monghi, it was to try and ensure that Monghi became more responsible and try to earn her living.

Hindi TV Serial - Jyoti - How can everything suddenly turn good all of a sudden

Jyoti suddenly saw a major transformation. Till now, the people in the house were looking at her with some amount of criticism again (except for her father who always supports her); however, her condition in terms of pregnancy suddenly turned bad and she had to be rushed to the hospital. At that point, except probably for Poonam, her other family members realized that maybe they were being too hard on Jyoti and she was in hospital partly because of them and start feeling all protective and affectionate towards her. Deepu was feeling negative towards her, and then starts feeling protective towards her, and even scolds some nurses who were seeing Jyoti pregnant, and no signs of marriage and no signs of any husband or person from the husband's family.
And in something that makes you wonder about the logic being used in such serials, Sushma meets Brij (the new, TB afflicted, on his last stages, reformed person) and believes that he is indeed reformed, and even agrees to restart a family with him. When Jyoti is back from the hospital, Sushma also gets Brij there (coughing away to glory, does no one worry about the chances of the TB having a negative effect on the 2 pregnant ladies - Jyoti and Sushma ?). Anyhow, Jyoti is back to her self, with the prospect of Brij and Sushma getting together, Jyoti is even ready to convince the couple who were going to adopt the child (and how will Brij and Sushma survive?).
There is general agreement that Brij and Sushma should be married, and plans are afoot to start the planning for this marriage with a caveat that Jyoti will need to take care of herself and not exert herself too much.
On the other side, Pankaj really does not seem to get along too well with Neelam, and refuses to go with her to her parties where he feels out of place and is not able to mix in those type of parties. Neelam accuses him of not letting Jyoti go from his mind.

Hindi TV Serial - Rehna Hai Teri Palkon ki Chaaon Mein - Karan back to the living

In Rehna Hai Teri Palkon ki Chaaon Mein on Imagine TV, the long awaited return has happened, and this is the return of Karan to the serial. All of you know that when a character dies on a Hindi serial, and the body is not found, then there is a good chance that the person is not dead and will come back at an opportune time. And so it was in the case of Karan, who died when he was on a honeymoon with Suman (and for which she was treated very badly in the house).
Over a period of time, Suman, with her good nature and loving personality was able to make a mark for herself, and Karthik anyhow was always in love with her (or atleast had a lot of respect and affection for her). However, Nandini also loved Karthik and played a number of tricks to try and get Suman out of the way so that she could get Karthik for herself. In between, Karthik realized that Nandini was responsible for a stage when Suman was abducted, but then he still married her.
However, this marriage was not meant to last, and soon the household realized that a proper relationship could only exist between Karthik and Suman, and the marriage between Karthik and Nandini was not meant to last, and talk of a divorce happen, and Nandini also signs the divorce papers.
But, this was done with a motive. Nandini had discovered that Karan had not died, but was indeed in a coma condition in a hospital, with no identification; and she brought him home with the claim that he was her brother (with the idea being that she would bring him forward to break the impending relationship between Suman and Karthik). And Karan, who is in a coma, does indeed start reacting when Suman comes close, with Nandini trying to ensure that he gets well fast enough that she can use him to break the ongoing marriage (and the marriage anyhow would not be valid since the first husband is not dead).
