Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Bhabho out of jail, now the truth about Sandhya's education

The serial is slowly showing how Sandhya is adjusting to her inlaws place, even with the gap between her parental house education levels and that of her inlaws. Further, her inlaws have been told that she is not very educated, while that is not true. So she is apprehensive of them getting to know the truth, and not being happy about being lied to to. All her inlaws have been told that she is a 7th pass, while she was in actuality studying BA.
The serial also shows how Sandhya is slowly adjusting to her life, understanding her husband and her inlaws house; she is starting to understand the good nature of Sooraj much more along with the nature of her inlaws much more, and even starting to appreciate the slightly tough nature of Bhabho. Things get a bit hairy when Bhabho is taken to jail by police, right in front of everybody, for abuse of her; Sandhya tries to help out Bhabho through arranging for some legal advice, and finally Bhabho comes back home after being released from police custody after the complaint is taken back by Meenakshi, and everything is forgiven.
Now, the biggest drama is about the revealing of the education level of Sandhya. She accomplished the task of being 3rd in the state and as a result, her photograph was published in the paper, including the paper that came to the household. Due to some drama, the photo in the paper was destroyed and hence people in the home were not able to see this, Sooraj however saw the photo and finally managed to figure out her accomplishment and realize her education level. But, the women in the neighborhood will come to the household.

Hindi TV Serial - Balika Vadhu - Gauri getting a few setbacks, with eviction from her apartment and money cut off

The last few episodes have seen a major set of problems for Gauri and Jagya. Their landlord, who was very supportive of them, found out that Gauri was in fact the second woman when the first wife was still alive and there was no divorce, and she was shocked since she never knew about all of this. She decides to turn them out of the house, and as she explained, she was in a similar position where her husband had left her for another woman and she could never accept that somebody who put another lady in a bad position was occupying her apartment. In addition, she also learnt that they were married only for 1 year, while they were staying in her apartment pretending to be married for 2 years. Now, they had to find a new house which would cost more and which was also located some more distance away from the hospital.
They are also running out of money, and Gauri used to be getting money on a monthly basis for her education from her Bade Papa, but suddenly found that the money that was coming in was not there this month. After some amount of delay, she got in touch with her Bade Papa was in for a severe shock. He severely scolded her for the way that she was marrying somebody who was already married and who had left his earlier wife and not got divorced. And then he told her that the person who was actually supplying the money for education on a regular basis was actually Bhairon Singh, from the time when she was married off to Jagat in her childhood and then the marriage was broken.
Now, since her education is over, and she is also in such a condition, the money has been stopped; at this news that the money was coming in from Bhairon Singh, she wants to go to Jetsar.
In the haveli, there is a small amount of tension since Nandu is not listening to his mother, but instead is listening to Anandi more, and this makes Gehna uncomfortable.

Hindi TV Serial - Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani - The serial coming to an end

The serial finally coming to an end. It was an interesting serial, since if you think of a serial with vampires and werewolves, you would think of the serial to be a horror serial, and many people would ignore such a serial. However, given the story of the serial, focusing on vampires and werewolves who live along with humans without being recognized, things get more interesting. The story focused on the love story between a vampire (who is immortal, and is also recognized as a non-living being) and a human (who becomes aware that the other is a vampire).
Things get very complex near the end, with werewolves and vampires fighting for a treasured potion that gives powers to the owner of the potion, and with a renegade vampire who is much more powerful than most vampires and werewolves (although no reasons are given as to how Mythili became so powerful), with Alina being the werewolf who would have been the nature leader of the werewolves in the fight against vampires, but who wants peace between these 2 types of ancient creatures. Further, in another twist, Arnav, is called away by the vampires and made the head of the vampire clan, leaving his family unaware of his fate and causing them great distress.
The serial ends with the fighting Jay (who wants to kill Abhay, who is now weak because he is a human) capturing Abhay and trying to kill him, but instead being killed by Arnav. In addition, Chand and Haseena are freed by the vampires (although they are vampires themselves) along with arnav and Abhay. 2 sets of marriages happen, where Misha gets married to Kabir, and finally Piya is getting married to Abhay in a grand event.
The last few months of the serial was very confusing, but it is now over.

Hindi TV Serial - Balika Vadhu - Exploring a new social evil where wife is used for producing a baby

The serial is now showcasing another social evil that can be like torture for the people who get caught up in it, and with little support from society for those who are afflicted by it. This is the 'nata pratha'; as a result of which Phooli is now suffering. She was apparently married with the sole reason of giving birth to a baby, after which the baby would be taken from her and the person to whom she was married also refused to support her.
Soon after she gave birth to a baby boy, she started seeing some strange customs where she was not allowed to go anywhere with her baby (even when she suggested that she go with her baby to her parents house for some time); and her mother in law refused all such suggestions. And then worse things were to happen.
She was told that now she now no longer had a claim to the baby, and it belonged to her husband and his first wife, and she was turned out from the house. When she pleaded to atleast provide her milk to the baby, even that was refused. Frustrated, she tried to take the baby away, but was detected and badly beaten and then turned away.
When she was wandering around in a shocked state, she was seen by Shivani, who supported her and took her to Anandi's house since Phooli was mentioning the name of Anandi. There, the story of Phooli was revealed to all, and Anandi was badly shocked, promising that she would get Phooli the justice due to her. And since Anandi was now the sarpanch of the village, one would assume that it would be easier for her to get justice, but for now, it does not seem like that the village people would support her.

Hindi TV Serial - Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - The truth about Shyam is known to Khushi and her family

The serial shows the life of a young woman called Khushi, and her confused relationship with the business tycoon Arnav. Kshushi is a young woman, idealistic and wanting the best for everybody. She really likes her family, and can be very emotional. Arnav on the other hand is a hard nosed man who does not believe in emotions, for him life is all about deal making.
Khushi has an elder sister Payal whose engagement earlier broke off because of dowry, although Khushi also feels herself responsible for some of that since she was going to speak to the groom, but instead landed up in Arnav's fashion show by mistake. However, Payal did not hold her responsible for the break-up of the marriage and the 2 sisters are very close.
Khushi did not like Arnav, but when Arnav challenged her to work for him, she decided to take on the challenge and work for him for a month. Slowly, as you would expect in such a serial, the distances between them would become less, and they would start getting attracted to each other. Arnav on the other hand is also engaged to a girl named Lavanya, who is slowly starting to get aware that maybe Arnav is feeling something for Khushi.
Arnav has an elder cousin called Aakash who saw Payal and fell in love with her and wants to marry her (although his mother is not no agreeable since she wants her son to marry somebody of his status, somebody from a rich family). Initially, Payal refused Aakash, so Khushi and Arnav decide to plot a way to get Payal to feel for Aakash, and they succeed. Arnav also has a sister called Anjali, who was attached by polio when she was a child. She is married to Shyam, who is a shifty character. Shyam was attracted to Khushi and pretended to her family that he was unmarried and wanted to marry Khushi, but finally his truth is out.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hai - Getting closer to each other in Australia

The couple have been forced to go to Australia for the honeymoon, since everybody is after them for the same. Even Ram's step-mom is not worried about this, since she believes that Ram will never get close to Priya, so she is confident, even though her son and brother both are not confident. Both Ram and Priya console each other, with the thought that just because they are going for a honeymoon does not mean that they will get closer to each other. The scene is that 8 episodes will be shot in Australia, and they are portraying a very beautiful picture of Australia, with the attractions of Sydney being one of the main items.
They have a local contact, who tries their best to make them get closer to each other, showing them romantic spots, getting them to try things that they have not done before such as flying in a small tourist plane that takes them around the harbour; they also have other adventures such as a time when Ram gets locked up in a mall with Priya waiting outside, and other such cases. In between, the problem lady is also present in the city, Apeksha gets to know that Ram is in the city and thinks that this is a great time to meet Priya, since she was not able to meet her at the time of marriage.
Apeksha finally meets Priya, and although Priya does not encourage Apeksha, she does hear enough to wonder as to what is happening; and Apeksha gives her a bracelet that she says will provide Ram all the memory he needs to remember Apeksha.
At home, Natasha is wondering about what to do about her pregnancy, she has not told her hubby about it, and decides that this will be too much of a hassle right now, so decides to go off to another city and have an abortion over there. At the same time, her sister-in-law, with whom she is having a tiff, pokes around and concludes that Natasha is pregnant.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Gopi finally recovered, and Rashi being taken back to Modi house

After some long tense moments (caused due to Gopi getting injured by a falling slab after the rescue of Rashi from the kidnappers), finally the doctors declared that Gopi is out of danger. There was all the usual drama, such as the fact that her blood group was a bit different (apparently only Urmi had that blood group, and not even Rashi, her own daughter). Urmi first refuses to give blood, and is then firmly persuaded to give her blood.
Finally, Gopi is fine, and though the doctor was worried about her going into coma, some strong words from Ahem persuaded Gopi that she needs to get better, and she did not fall into a coma. Now, there is a changed Ahem, who probably realized how much he actually loved Gopi. He cares for her, spends a lot of time in the hospital while she is recovering, show a lot of his care, and overall does a great job of portraying a concerned husband.
Finally, it is time for them to come home, and Ahem gets her discharged from the hospital and brings her home. At this time, Gopi asks Koki to forgive Rashi, something that Kokila is not really willing to do, although she has seen some signs of change in Rashi (she is mostly angry with Rashi for forever planning something cunning, mostly inspired by her mother Urmi). Rashi's husband Jigar also notices a transformation in her, especially when she asks for forgiveness from Gopi, or when she took her mother out of the hospital.
So, finally the Modi ladies go to Rashi's house and decide to bring her home, something that leaves both Rashi and Urmi very surprised and shocked. Urmi warns Rashi that this is not the end, that she will not get her true status and will need to do more drama, but Rashi is somehow finally recognizing that her mother's tactics are causing all the problems.

Hindi TV Serial - Pavitra Rishta - Manav planning to leave Archana, take daughters, and move to Canada

The separation between Manav and Archana is growing every minute. In the past, they were totally in love with each other, understanding each other even though many people would conspire to separate them. However, things started turning for the bad after the party where Archana handed over Soham to Varsha for her to take care of (believing that Varsha was not cured). However, this was not to be. Manav had objected at that stage, but Archana assured him that everything would be alright. And then the inevitable happened, where Manav noticed Varsha missing, since she had run away from there with Soham. This made Manav very angry with Archana, and he blamed her for everything. He already had some anger inside him for the court case that Archana had launched against him for the housing project, and ultimately the court case went against him.
Now, things are moving very fast. Manav has decided to move to Canada along with family, which does not include Archana, which means that he is now ready for a life without her. He wants to take his mother (who is delighted at a life away from Archana and away from the chawl), his father (who does not like what is happening), and his twin daughters (and Archana is ready to let him take away the daughters).
On the other side, Vaishali is severely tormented, with Dharmesh locking her up; she is finally rescued by her child and runs away from Dharmesh, with Dharmesh hunting after her. Satish, who was very angry about the wrong work done by Varsha, gets a call from Vaishali since she needs the help of Satish to evade the hoodlums chasing after her.

Hindi TV Serial - Pavitra Rishta - Major problems between Archana and Manav, Varsha runs away with Soham

Most serials show some kind of deep attachment between people, and then suddenly, something happens that cause them to grow apart from each other, that love suddenly turns to a form of hatred (where they are ready to be away from each other and throw harsh words at each other). And then you can throw in a time leap, where the people are apart from each other and will then meet many years later. Pavitra Rishta is going through the same transformation, where it will go through a time leap, and before the time leap, they have shown that all the relationships in the serial have gone down.
To some extent Archana has caused the problems that have occurred. Already there was tension between her and Manav over the court case that happened when Ajit got bulldozers over to break the chawl, something which was masterminded by Dharmesh as a way of getting revenge. The case proceeds in court, at the same time that Archana is pregnant (she already has Soham and Sachu, and not sure whether she is capable of handling more kids); she finally delivers twin baby girls, and Manav is very happy since he has always wanted a daughter, but then the court order goes against him, where the chawl project is defeated, but Manav is not jailed. This makes Dharmesh and Manjusha unhappy, and causes Vaishali great distress, since she finally leaves Dharmesh.
At a party, Archana hands over Sachu to Varsha for safe keeping, even though she knows that in the past Varsha used to obsess over Sachu, and even though Manav objects, she does not listen to him. The obvious happens, where Varsha runs away with Sachu and Manav blames Archana for all this. When confronted, Varsha jumps into the water along with Sachu and is not found, and Manav totally blames Archana for this, causing a break in their relations.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Some tension in the household, with Sandhya holding firm

The story is still progressing a bit slowly. Sandhya feels stifled in the house, especially when she sees the condition of the ladies in the house, and this is further increased by the attempts of her sister-in-law to increase the tension in the house. The latest episode to cause problems is when Sandhya goes for voting; she has always been told by her father that voting is the moral duty of every citizen, and hence she went for voting.
Her voting is noticed by her sister-in-law, who sees the mark on her finger and who tells Bhabho that Sandhya had gone for voting. Bhabho is very angry at this and wants to give her a punishment, but her father-in-law wants to reduce the tension by asking Sandhya to touch the feet of Bhabho and ask for forgiveness since she did not know the rule in the house about not voting; Sandhya touches her feet but refuses to accept that she did something wrong; this makes Bhabho very angry and determined to go ahead with the punishment.
So, since there will be no water in the house for 3 days, Bhabho orders Sandhya to fill water in large containers by getting the water from outside; Sandhya goes ahead and does this job although it means back-breaking work for 3 and more hours. Bhabho does not stop even when told that all the neighbors are seeing and wondering as to what is happening - she wants Sandhya to feel the punishment and back down. When Sooraj comes back, he says that she went for voting with his support, since her father had told her that this was a duty.
When all this is over, Sandhya's have bruises and boils, and Suraj applies balm on them; he also explains that long back, Bhabho was asked to vote for a particular party and when she refused, she was beaten up, and hence the rule about not voting.

Hindi TV Serial - Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani - The deaths of Panchi and Mythili in a single episode

For some time now, the serial had been dragging the story around a magic potion. The potion was supposed to give a huge number of new powers, and only Alina had the power to find the potion and to use it. Alina also had a special power that came into use once when she was being threatened by her own brother Jay, which caused injury marks on her own brother.
For the recent few weeks, the serial has descended into chaos. Everybody is hunting for the potion, with the werewolves, the vampires, Mythili, and others all looking for the potion inside a graveyard. At the same time, Arnab was also hunting for vampires with a group of people using instruments which apparently are able to detect a blood hunting vampire (Mythili) - one is not sure what such an instrument would be like and how it would be made.
At the same time, there is an impending romance between Kabir, where Kabir has fallen in love with Misha, but is not able to tell her. It is only when Mythili starts attacking the 2 sisters (Misha and Panchi) when she is sent off by Arnab with these 2 (when Arnab thinks that this is actually Piya), and then Kabir gets injured, is when Misha realizes how Kabir feels about her.
Things get even more complicated when Abhay is almost killed, and then the potion is the only thing that can save his life. To the horror of Chand and Haseena, they find out that the rest of the vampires were only around Abhay in order to try and get his spirit, since that would give them a lot of power. It is then that Piya and Alina come there with the potion and finally manage to save him; but the use of the potion turns him into a human and he is no longer a vampire. In the fight, Mythili is killed by the rest of the vampires, and Jay just manages to get out of there by claiming peace (but he is determined to hunt down and kill Abhay). At around the same time, Panchi also dies in hospital, never recovering from the injuries she suffered at the hands of Mythili.
It is now 3 months after these incident, and Abhay and Piya have moved to Mumbai; while Jay is wondering how to attack Abhay.

Hindi TV Serial - Hitler Did - A new serial on Zee TV, about a young girl with responsibility

Hitler Didi is a new serial on Zee TV that started on 7 November 2011, at the prime time of 8 PM on weekdays. It is again different from the regular saas-bahu serials, since the serial focuses on a young girl trying to lead her family on a day to day front, where they do not have much of financial independence, and her father has left them a long time back.
Hitler Didi is actually called Indira Sharma, only aged 25 years, but has gained a reputation of being a strong willed lady, who does not tolerate any kind of problems from her family or in the neighborhood. She has her own values and belief system, and this was clearly visible in a recent episode of the serial. Her brother, Munna, does not own up to his responsibility, even though he has a family with a wife and a 7 year old son Eshaan. He does not work, instead trying to figure out ways to quickly make money. In a recent episode, his own father and step-mother (both of him Indira despise) get the police to the home because of a forgery committed by Munna. Indira pays up the problem, but allows the police to take him away to jail since he had committed a crime and needed to pay up for that time.
Indira also has a younger sister who is not taking the same level of responsibility as Indira, and her mother is also mostly on the side of her brother, and sympathetic to her husband (even though her husband has left her for a second woman Jhumpa). Indira's bhabhi (Sunaina, Munna's wife) also does not really get along well with Indira, since she does not have very high status in the house (after all, Indira is the one who runs the household, and as such, it is her wishes that run the house).

Hindi TV Serial - Balika Vadhu - They find the truth about Shravana and get Anandi's respect back

Anandi was in a lot of trouble. Even after the surprise of Jagya going and saving her and bringing her back to the house, there were a lot of problems with respect to rumours of her character, and with Shravan's parents blaming her for running away with their son along with a photo of Shravan and Anandi on a bike (which Anandi denied could ever have happened), her reputation was taking a big hit. In this case, even the power of her family would have proven difficult in saving her reputation; it was imperative for them to find the truth and tell the people of the village about the truth.
So, they decide that the best way was to actually find out the truth, and they decide to start following Shravan's father for this, when he gets into a bus and stealthily follow him all the way to where he meets Shravan in a hut somewhere else. From there, after some chasing, they finally catch Shravan, and take him back to the village in a jeep. Since the people in the village can see that Shravan is being taken back, they are curious and follow them.
And then they make Shravan talk, and he starts with the whole story, about the plan to ruin the reputation of Anandi, where Shravan gains the confidence of the household, and then finally steals the jewels and clothes of Anandi and then kidnaps Anandi so that it seems that Anandi has run away. Further, he finds a photo of Jagya and Anandi on a bike and changes the photo such that it seems that it is Shravan and Anandi on the bike. His parents are a full part of the plan. He reveals that this was done with the connivance of Heth Singh, and finally Anandi has her reputation back since the villagers have heard the story and now believe that she had nothing to do with all this.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Plot by Urmila and Rashi fails, back to the same situation

The serial continues to show a state of confrontation between Kokila and the mother-daughter duo of Urmila - Rashi. After Rashi was kicked out of the Modi house, Urmila tried all her cunning to somehow get them back into the house, but nothing seems to be working. She tried pleading, trying to cause them embarrassment, trying to knock the doors of the police, but nothing seems to be working. If anything, seeing how Urmila is keeping on plotting, seems to be making Koki more determined in her decision, backed up by Hetal and the rest of the family. On the other hand, the presence of Kinjal is causing a bit of a shake, since the rest of the family is pushing Dhaval to setup the shop again and move to a new house; while Kinjal sees this as an opportunity to continue to have the benefits of living in the posh Modi house; if she moves out with Dhaval anywhere, things will get tight for her since with their limited income, they will have a much smaller house - in fact, some of the houses that Dhaval has shown her caused her great disgust.
Urmila and Rashi tried to get Kokila's mother on their side, thinking that she will get Koki to change her decision, but after some initial discussion, Nani got to know the whole truth from Hetal and decided that Koki took the right decision by kicking Rashi out of the house - and when Urmila and Rashi confront her at the gates of the house, she ignores them.
Now, the mother-daughter duo have to figure out what to do, and with Dhaval not running his shop, money is in short supply. Urmila says that the shop needs to be re-opened, but if there is work to do, then Rashi is not comfortable with doing this work, and causes a customer to go away.

Hindi TV Serial - Pavitra Rishta - House bought by DK for Manav, but problems with the chawl

There was a lot of drama about the ongoing auction of the Karanjkar house; and in fact, Manjusha had got the house auctioned earlier than expected because she knew that Manav was going out of the city and since she knew that Manav would not be there. This caused everyone to get upset, also because they were not able to reach Manav; the only 2 people happy about this were Manjusha because that was her nature, and Savita since she did not want Manav's money (over which she thought was hers) to be spent on the Karanjkar house.
The tension over this was stretched over a number of episodes of the serial, with all the characters being displayed one by one expressing their feelings. In the meantime, the impending deal over the chawl was also ongoing with Manav feeling that he could get some control over the deal in order to ensure that everyone in the chawl got a good real and a better place to live. Dharmesh was also involved in the plan to auction the house, since that would let him also get revenge for everything that was done to him, with a lot of the focus in terms of getting revenge on Manav.
And then the surprise; when Manav gets back, he is given the house since DK had promised him that he would ensure that the house did not go to anybody else; Manav promptly gave this news to everybody else and they decided to get Manohar and Sulochna back to the house. There was a confrontation with Manjusha who was already there in the house, with Vinod looking on and unable to do anything except shed tears.
Manav is worried about the chawl deal, since the people assigned to do the project are people who not very high sense of morals, and he is afraid that they will do anything for their benefit rather than care for the people of the chawl.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Rashi and Urmila trying to get Rashi back in the house

The serial is typically a very melodramatic serial, with a lot of drama in every episode; I am sure the script and dialog writers must have been told to put as much drama as possible even in every dialog. So, when the mother-in-law speaks to her daughter-in-laws, you feel as if something is about to happen. Similarly, when even the door bell rings, everybody's face takes on an expression as if something strange is going to happen.
So, when the melodrama in the serial increases, things get even more interesting. In the current case, Rashi had been kicked out of the house, and Urmila was trying all tactics to get her back. For some time, she tried to create a drama in front of the Modi mansion, and then when that did not work, she tried to use the police to threaten Kokila and the family, but that did not work either.
In the meantime, Kinjal and Dhaval are also in the Modi mansion, where Dhaval is feeling uncomfortable about being there, but the others are trying to make him comfortable. Kinjal on the other hand is trying to be as clever as she can; she tries to get her shoes cleaned by Gopi and Koki sees that and gives her a right scolding about being respectful towards her elder bhabhi and doing her work herself rather than trying to manipulate people; especially somebody like Gopi who cannot say no to anyone.
In the meantime Rashi and Urmila have got hold of Nani, in the hope that they will get her to reverse Kokila's decision; but Nani has such a forgetful nature that they should not be hoping that something useful will come from her side. They manage to get her in an auto to the Modi house, but one is not sure whether their plan will succeed.

Hindi TV Serial - Balika Vadhu - Jagya manages to rescue Anandi from the problem that she had got into

Anandi was in deep trouble. Some time back, she met a young guy called Shravan (with the attempt to show to the viewers of the serial that this was a possible love affair for her); but the intention was different. She was kidnapped by a guy called Heth Singh who wanted to take revenge for an insult to him, and Shravan was part of this kidnapping.
Part of the planning of the kidnapping was to show Anandi in a bad light, saying that since she was young, her husband had left her, she was feeling lonely and hence had decided to elope with Shravan. This will totally reduce the image of Anandi in everybody's mind. To increase this effect, soon after Anandi goes missing, Shravan's parents land up in the house moaning for their son who is missing; and later pretend that they have found out that Anandi has also gone missing, and start blaming Anandi for having mislead their honest son and run away with him. Other also hear this, and the news also reaches Gauri, who in her quest to put down Anandi tells Jagya that his former wife has run away, this is her character.
Jagya cannot believe this, and says that he will find Anandi. And you know that this will happen, so he is able to eventually locate where Anandi is located, sneak into the room where she was imprisoned (where she is somewhat in shock over one of the goons trying to molest her when she was tied up and helpless), and then run away when all the bad men are drunk, taking their own bike. He manages to eventually get Anandi back to the house after truck and bus ride, away from the goons, but the question will not go away; there will be a showdown over whether Anandi had run away (which a number of people in the village believe).

Hindi TV Serial - Saas Bin Sasural - Competition between Pashu and Tej, and then Tej's accident

The competition between Pashu and Tej over the past few weeks has been shown to be much more tense than in the past; ever since Tej felt that Pashu was dictating terms to him and not treating him very well. He finally decided that it would be difficult to work with Pashu any more (and Pashu was also actually being very impatient with Tej, taking all his comments with great criticism, and replying back sharply to some of these comments).
Finally, Tej decided that enough is enough, and he decided to do a business for himself, and he knew one line of business, and so decided to open a saree shop just like Pashu was running the family saree shop. He got part of the financing through his mother-in-law, something that caused some amount of distress in the Chaturvedi household, although when Tej named the shop after his later mother, that seemed to reduce the opposition to some degree.
And then the competition between the 2 brothers increased to a large degree, with both of them trying to out-compete against each other, keeping their shops open for a larger amount of time, or even offering discounts, something that the head of the family normally discouraged as a business practice. Finally Pitaji decided that this competition was getting very unhealthy and reduced the amount of time he had given to both of them to decide which one was more successful.
Finally, when the accounts were to be checked, Toasty, in order to reduce some of the conflicts in the family, gave the winning position to Pashu (and not Tej) (and this was very confusing, since the rationale did not seem to be very proper). The condition was that whoever lost would close his shop and merge it with the other one, and in the end, this win and loss was actually more confusing to both of them. Tej was very unhappy when he found what Toasty had done.
Then things turned more serious. Tej went off to Pune for some work for Pashu's shop, and then Toasty heard that the bus had gone over a cliff and everybody had died; and is now searching hospitals for any sign of Tej. A lot of tragedy for the family, but eventually I am sure that Tej will be found.

Hindi TV Serial - Uttaran - Trouble between Nani / Tapasya and Iccha, more plotting

Nani has been portrayed to be one of the most villain like characters on the serial. She has a set of beliefs, a lot of them based on the difference between rich and poor people, and she projects them onto Tapasya a lot. Over a period of time, these have actually caused the problems and complexes suffered by Tapasya to become so enhanced that Tappu has some to a lot of problems; and even though all the people around her know about these problems, she believes that she has been more sinned against rather than causing a lot of problems herself.
The other problem is that Iccha does a lot of stuff that can be thought of as stupid; her actions cause her problems a lot, and it is only because people have recognized that she is not cunning or shrewd that she manages to get out of the problems into which she has entered. The latest problem is where Nani and Tappu plan to disrupt the relationship between Veer and Ichcha, using the excuse of Ichcha breast-feeding Tapu's child (which is actually Ichcha's supposedly dead child).
So, since Nani and Tapu have found out that Rathod is getting Ichcha to feed Yuvraj, they want to take revenge on Ichcha (with a lot of jealousy, not bothered by the fact that because of Ichcha, Yuvraj is getting something to eat and is as a result, more healthy). They decide that it would be best to snare Ichcha in a position where Veer would think that there is something shady, and this would cause tension in Ichcha's life. So, they plot that one a day, Tapu would remain at home, and as a result, Rathod would have to call Ichcha to a hotel room, where they would get Veer to come there and see both Ichcha and Rathod in a room (and also get the police to come there).
A scandal does not happen, since the police are controlled, but Veer does see both of them and is very angry when he hears the story, since he expects that Ichcha should have told him about all this instead of proceeding. Ichcha is upset at upsetting Veer, and Rathod wants to find out how the police came to know.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hai - Sid and Mama trying to use Ashwin to bring differences between Ram and Piya

The serial is trying the first major drama of the serial. Ever since Piya caused the dramatic downturn in the fortunes of Sid by exposing that he had hidden the family necklace, and for which Vikram was sought to be blamed, Sid had been seeking any way to show Piya down; and he tried to explore her past history by pumping her sister for information. Her sister did reveal that Piya was earlier engaged to a guy named Ashwin, who was engaged to Piya, but who ultimately ditched her to marry her close friend Shruti, something that had impacted Piya a lot.
Then Sid recalls that there was somebody who had come to the office for a job, and he had turned the guy away, and this was also a guy named Ashwin. They get the guy back, and offer him a job, trusting that they would be able to manipulate things to put differences between Ram and Piya. Both Sid and Mama start pumping up Ashwin in terms of Piya still being interested in him (after all, what could she want from a person such as Ram), to the extent that Ashwin starts believing what they says and starts looking for chances to get closer to Piya.
So when Piya comes to the office to give a lecture, Ashwin comes to her, but she totally rebuffs him, sending him back and cold-shouldering him. However, he persists, and even goes as much as to claim to some of his batchmates that they should serve him, since he is close to the wife of the CEO. With some more things, and with prompting by Sid and Mama, Ram is starting to realize that something is going on, and starts to monitor what is going on with Piya. Piya on the other hand is just trying to end whatever things Ashwin is trying to get her into.

Hindi TV Serial - Yeh Rishta Kya Kahlata Hain - Tearful departures from the house

Till now, the serial has always shown them as rich people, doing a jewellery business where they earn a lot of money and live well. However, since they have been shown undergoing a lot of stress for some reason or the other (whether that be the marriage of their daughters, or the relation with the daughter-in-law, or relations with their son's in-laws, or the pregnancy of their daughter); they don't need a specific reason to have stress in their life.
But now things are very stressful indeed. They are being forced to move from their house, the same house in which the brothers settled in, and where the children of the house were born and brought up in; all due to problems in business (fall in values of share investment and loan issues) - attributed to Naitik. As a result, the inevitable has happened - they have been forced to put their house up in order to get money to pay their workers (including Diwali bonus).
This is a very uncomfortable situation for everybody, since for the moment, they do not even have a house where to go to; and when their inlaws offer any kind of help (both Rashmi's inlaws, and Akshara's parents), they are so proud that they cannot take such help. However, since they do not have any option as of now, they will have to eventually take help - they need a place to live in.
They have already been forced to give up some of their stuff, since they cannot keep everything that they owned, so many items from their younger times that was kept for sentimental reasons has to be given away.

Hindi TV Serial - Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani - Abhay also under the control of Mythili, will bite Piya

The serial is again coming to a point of climax. Earlier as well, there was a lot of clash between Jay and Abhay, this being the conflict between the werewolves and the vampires. They contested over the love between Abhay and Piya, about Alina not supporting the werewolves like she should be doing, and so on. And now there is an added complication; Mythili is back into the whole game with very strong powers. She is so strong that she can take on the shape of anybody (even when the other person is not dead), and can make anybody do what she wants. And all of them are competing for a magical potion that gives the person who owns the potion incredible powers - these powers can ensure that Haseena no longer wants to drink human blood (although since she is under the control of Mythili, it may be that once Mythili is not controlling her, that urge may go away on its own); Deepanita wants the potion since control of that potion will give the werewolves more power than the vampires and also help her defeat Mythili (Mythili has also been able to control Dipannita and she is not able to shake off that control); Mythili wants that potion since it will make her invincible and prevent anybody from shaking off her control and also get Abhay to come to her.
Things are moving to a head. Mythili has taken on the shape of Haseena, and commanded Abhay to get Alina towards her; and most interestingly also kill Pia.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Rashi asked to leave the house, her mother will fight back

The family has a pride in terms of being good straight people. So, when Koki learns the truth about the lies of Rashi and Urmi, she is shocked and decides to expose all that Rashi has done in front of everybody. This is a shocker for everybody. But before this, Rashi has already gone off to her mother's house with her luggage, and Jigar goes there to pick her up so that she can be there in the house for Diwali celebrations (so far only Jigar knows that she has gone there in a huff).
So, finally Rashi comes back to the house, where she is happy that Jigar has come there to pick her up, and that she is important for the household. However, Rashi is in for a big shock when she comes back to the house, since Koki subjects her to an interrogation as soon as she comes inside, and that too, in the full flow that Koki is capable of. Even though others try to stop her, she shuts everybody up (including Gopi who tries to intervene but is forced to keep quiet).
Soon, the others find out about everything that Rashi and her mother are done, and when Jigar admits that he knew some of this, there is confirmation as well. It is at that point that Rashi is turned out of the house. Her mother is shocked at this and cannot stand such a thing happening. She comes to the house in order to try and bring her daughter back, but does not succeed. So she starts a new drama where she sits at the gate of the house, claiming that she will not leave till they take her daughter out, but Koki tells everyone to ignore this drama, telling Ahem to be quiet, although he is getting very angry and wants to call the police to sort this out. When Gopi is going out to meet Urmi, Koki stops her as well.
The next part of this drama will be where Urmi attempts to use the drama of some injuries on Rashi's body in order to claim that she was being tortured for dowry, and there will be the need for CCTV footage in order to verify the truth.

Hindi TV Serial - Pavitra Rishta - The drama surrounding the action of the Karanjkar house

The serial is going through another of those high drama moments. There is an impending auction of the Karanjkar house, because of which all the members of the family are traumatized. Sulochna had earlier forbidden Manav to try to buy the house back, but later, when Manav persisted in this effort, Sulochana agreed to let him buy the house back. Savita saw this, and was further angry that Manav is falling more and more in the mother-daughter trap, and giving all his money to them.
Savita had tried a trick earlier to persuade Shravani that Archana did not care for Sachu all that much, and she should take Sachu back so that he can get the care he needs; however, just when this is about to happen, Sachu is in danger of getting burnt during Diwali and Shravani sees Archana shielding Sachu, to the extent that Archana suffers a few burns. She realizes that Archana loves Sachu a lot, and that whatever she was told by Savita was untrue. She leaves from there, although when she is discovered, Savita blames her for whatever has happened so that nobody suspects her.
On the other hand, about the auction, there are a number of people lined up to get revenge. Savita wants that the house should not go back to Archana and her sisters and Sulochana, since she wants them to suffer. Manjusha also wants revenge on all of them, and wants to ensure that they suffer as much as possible. Dharmesh is also looking for revenge, and wants to buy back the house so that he can show them that their former house is now with him. Manjusha even told Sulochana that she should actually hand over the keys of the house to Dharmesh when he does buy the house.
Manav is out of the city for some work for DK, and the auction has been preponed by 2 days, and when he does come back, it will not be Sushant, but most likely it will be Hiten who will be playing the role of Manav.

Hindi TV Serial - Diya Aur Bati Hum - Married to a less qualified family

Diya Aur Bati Hum is a relatively new serial, that premiered on Star Plus on 29 August 2011, replacing Gulaal. The serial, like many others shows, is set in the land of Rajasthan, so you will hear a lot more about words such as beendni, and so on (typical Rajasthani words used in serials). The serial takes the story of a girl who aspires for a lot, but is married off into a family that she believes is much below her, and where she fears all her aspirations will be crushed.
So, Sandhya, is the lead in the serial (played by Deepika). She is educated, and wants to join the Indian Police Service. She is ambitious, and wants to do a lot in life. However, things get totally turned around when her parents die, and she has to be supported by her brother-in-law and sister. To her shock, she is married off to Sooraj, who runs a sweet shop and who is much less educated than her.
Sandhya is totally shocked with what has happened to her, especially when she finds out more about the family to which she is married into, as well as the educational details of her husband. In addition, she feels that the culture of her new family is very different. The daughter-in-laws of the family are expected to remain silent, do whatever is expected out of them, produce the mail heirs of the family, not have any ambitions, and so on.
When she gets a chance to have an interaction with her brother, she scolds him incredibly for marrying her into such a family, and selling off the family home, since he has to go abroad. In addition, she detests her position now, and crawls at the impending prospect of her husband wanting to have physical relations with her.

Hindi TV Serial - Adalat - The first time that the serial has gone into the concept of reincarnation

Adalat is a serial that is based on the activities of a defense attorney who mostly defends people in murder investigations. The serial has a lot of drama, especially the way that the defense lawyer (known as KD Pathak, who refused to tell the full form of KD) works in court. He flouts many of the principles, goes to sites, finds evidence, and then presents these in court himself (which seems very strange, since how can a defense attorney, who is defending the convict, be trusted to actually present evidence that can exonerate his client). He can browbeat the prosecutor, and even the judge (and in one case, almost forced the judge to reverse his decision, or atleast delay the decision).
Till now the serial works on the basis that the serial does not support any kind of paranormal activity, always trying to dispel other people who talk about ghosts / spirits, and so on. However, in a 2 part episode, the serial, for the first time, actually propagated the concept that reincarnation works. So, there is a 20 year old from Goa who comes to KD and asks for getting his mother, convicted of murdering him 20 years back, off, since he does not believe that his mother was the guilty one.
KD for some time does not believe, and is very puzzled as to how to bring this case to court, since the judge will kick the case out of court if he figures out that the case was built on the basis of reincarnation; so he showcases facts as if he got them from a diary. Finally, when the information comes out, the judge is going to close the case, but KD gets him to listen to the young man for some time, and finally is able to prove that somebody else has done the murder.

Hindi TV Serial - Saathiya - Major issues between Jigar and Rashi, Rashi in trouble

The serial Saathiya is a look at a family where the mother is the absolute tyrant in the family, everything she says is what is the law in the house; however, Koki is not a bitter or evil person, she understands when somebody is trying to do good, and when somebody is trying to trick her or do something that is against her principles.
She has 2 daughter-in-laws, with Gopi being the one who is good, but who is also shown as being more of a buffoon, who believes everything, and who believes that everyone is good. As a result, she can be easily mislead, or can be tricked into doing what others want. And the other is the other daughter-in-law, Rashi, who is cunning and sharp. She has a mother Urmi (whose son is married to Rashi's sister-in-law Kinjal). Both Rashi and Urmi try to ensure that they are smart, and are able to get what they want; however, by now Koki is very conversant with their tricks and does not lose an opportunity to poke fun at Rashi; she is also pretty happy with Gopi and understands the good nature of Gopi.
Rashi's husband, Jigar, for some time has not been clear about his wife's nature, but is now pretty clear. This is because of 2 instances, one where Rashi causes Sonal to be stranded in a dangerous area (Rashi gets Gopi to call Sonal, and then takes the air out of the tyres of Sonal's car, and then when she realizes that Sonal has not yet come back, is very panicked). The other is about when she tries to commit suicide (an act) and the doctor tells Jigar that his wife has only eaten sugar balls, not the naphthalene balls it seems like. He is very angry at Rashi, tells her that he knows all about her manipulative abilities, and he does not want to have a relationship with her, something that shocks Rashi a lot.

Hindi TV Serial - Parichay - Family members trying to get Siddhi and Kunal to spend time together

The serial has already completed 50 episodes, and it seems to have barely started. The serial has just started (and it is a huge contrast to some of the serials that would only last 13 episodes, but there are very few such serials that happen nowadays). The death of the most successful son of the family in a bomb blast, Anand, has hit the family hard and caused huge changes in the life of the elder son of the family, Kunal. He has had to take on the responsibility of the house, and in a twist of fate, was also expected to marry Siddhi, his late brother's fiancee; and this was probably the biggest change in his life.
So now life is settling in with Siddhi and Kunal. They don't feel like a husband and wife and certainly don't have the type of relations that you expect between a husband and wife. The rest of the family plots on how to get them to spend some time together, and come across the idea of going for a dinner only between Kunal and Siddi. Now, if this dinner is suggested, Kunal would not agree, so the plan is that for the dinner to be planned for the family and Kunal and Siddi to be sent there separately making some excuse, and the other family members not to come later. By the time Kunal figures out the strategy, it is too late and he is already at the restaurant.
Another nice sight in the serial was when Siddhi helps the children celebrate Diwali, even though they would not normally do so because of the death of Anand; but Siddhi explains her intent, and the questions that the children asked, which caused her to change her mind. And it is very bad to attribute any ulterior motives to her, since she was the fiancee of the dead person, and would remember the loss of Anand the most.

Hindi TV Serial - Pratigya - Ganga moving away from Sajjan Singh, towards Gunga

Imagine the situation. The patriarch of the family has married a young girl in a lot of anticipation, but she thwarts all his desires, and then starts falling for the young servant of the house, Gunga (who is literally dumb and cannot say anything). Imagine the shock to everyone when somebody see such a thing happening.
This is the exact situation that is currently happening in Pratigya. After a lot of opposition, SS married Ganga (with his children, his mother, and his existing wife) all opposing this decision. In fact, SS deceived them when he said that he was taking Ganga back to her parents, and then decided to marry her in a temple and bring her back to the house as his wife; his family accepted her in the house since the did not have an alternative, but have not forgiven him.
But one of the objectives for which SS married Ganga did not happen, since she refuses to let him touch her. For Ganga, marriage to SS makes her a person with power and authority, specially over those who were just treating her like a maid earlier. But, she does not fully realize the physical relation between a husband and wife, specially the demands made by the husband, and rejects all the advances made by SS. This makes SS very angry, since his family is anyhow cut up with him over this marriage, and if his wife is also not letting him touch her, it increases the amount of frustration incredibly.
And then when his mother tells him that the Diwali puja will only be allowed if Ganga is not permitted, he finally agrees, which shocks Ganga a lot. She is starting to see her power diminishing. And then, in the middle of a private Diwali celebration with Gunga, they hug, something that is seen by Pratigya, which shocks her a lot.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hai - Drama about the Karva Chauth ceremony

The serial is showing the growing relationship between the 2 main characters of the serial - Ram Kapoor and Priya Kapoor. As per them, their marriage is a compromise, meant to support the marriage of their younger siblings, Karthik and Natasha. They both know this, and also repeat this to each other. Ram declares this much more so, although Priya does not like this statement when Ram makes it, especially when Ram does this in anger.
The latest issue is related to the honeymoon plans. To the surprise of Ram and Priya, their friends give them a honeymoon package, which they don't want. When they try to be clever and transfer the tickets in the name of their friends, they realize that the tickets are non-transferable, and it will cost a fair amount of money if they try and cancel the tickets.
Then they hit upon a plan (or rather, it comes to Priya). The festival of Karva Chauth is coming up, and like any good Hindu lady, Priya needs to observe Karva Chauth, and that will conflict with the plans for the honeymoon. So, and because Dadima is also interested in seeing the festival being observed, Priya decides to follow the festival.
And then Ram declares that he cannot be in the city at the time of Karva Chauth, since he has an important meeting and presentation. Priya tries to be clever and get Dadima to prevail upon Ram to be there and cancel his trip, but he does not agree. Then she gets very clever and hides the ticket.
At the evening of Karva Chauth, Ram does turn up, but very angry since he considers that Priya exceeded her limit by taking his ticket, angry enough that he makes her cry. But, he is in for a shock when he is informed that his plane has crashed, and that if it were not for this tactic by Priya, he would have been most certainly dead by now. He is flabber-gasted and does not know what to say.

Hindi TV Serial - Uttaran - Ichcha keeps on getting insulted, and keeps on taking it

Sometimes they should show good things also happening. What they have shown in the case of Ichcha is a dumb girl who takes shit from everyone and still does not retaliate. Even in the Gita, it says that you should not tolerate evil, and yet so many times in the past, when they have shown behavior from different people to Ichcha, she takes it all and does not even set the right perspective. This is not the right attitude to show or to set a right belief to your children; and now that Ichcha is playing mother to 2 children, she will make her children such that they will tolerate all wrong-doing and not set things right.
So, Ichcha is facing problems everywhere. First, on the happy occasion when she is about to become a mother and give birth to a child, Nani manages to bribe the nurse, show a dead child and take away Ichcha's and Veer's child (and she is easily able to do this, while you would think that such a thing would be pretty difficult). Next, Ichcha and Veer make a foolhardy decision that they will not try to have children of their, since they already have 2 kids (without considering about the opinions of others in the family, especially the elders). She runs into Mai, who considers this a very stupid idea, and maybe she is right. One wonders about how thought through the whole decision was.
Next, Ichcha has decided not to go to Tapu's and Rathod's house for their function, and yet Nani manages to take her there (when one would think that Nani should be the last person to whom Ichcha should be listening to). Over there, Ichcha hears the kid crying, and goes there, and when Tapu finds her there, the behaviour of Ichcha is so suspicious that anyone would start doubting her intentions. Nani of course is in full flow.

Hindi TV Serial - Bigg Boss Season 5 - More drama and more fights

Looks like the concept of Bigg Boss is to get as many people to watch the serial as much as possible, and with each season, the amount of tension and fights in each version has increased to a much higher degree every time. The first couple of versions did not have too much fighting, but as the years have gone by, the amount of fighting has increased drastically. Each time, there have been members in the serial who fight for no given reason, thus giving rise to the suspicion that these people have been told to fight as much as possible. As long as they do not actually physically fight, they are also retained and not evicted.
This time, with the season 5, there are some more changes. The serial started with some big name hosts, with the popular movie stars, Sanjay Dutt, and Salman Khan. In addition, the show started with many more women in the show, a total of 12 women, 1 transgender, and 1 has been movie actor (Shakti Kapoor). Over a period of time, 2 more men have come into the show. The contestants are:
Shakti Kapoor - Initially, the only male in the show.
Pooja Bedi - One of the initial brave faces of Indian cinema, who exposed as much as required, and did a couple of good roles.
Shonali Nagrani - A former contestant of Miss India and a TV anchor.

Hindi TV Serial - Geet - Discord between the newly married couples - Geet worried

There is a lot of news about how the show is soon going to end, and this news has been in the air now for quite a few months, with no confirmation. The latest thread about this talks about December being the latest timeframe in which the show will end. This is probably why the show is somewhat dragging right now, with no major event happening in the serial, something which gives the others a lot of tension and so on.
Right now, the main issue in the serial is about the ongoing tension in the new marriages that have happened. In a rush of marriages, 2 marriages happened, one between Dev and Nandini, and the other between Lucky and Prito. However, so normally happens, once a marriage happens, there are a lot of expectations, and also a lot of assuming things from the other person (although these have been increased to a large degree in the serial). So, there is a constant source of tension between all of them, and Geet is very worried about this discord. Initially, Mann told her that her that she should not get into these discussions, since these are for the married couples to resolve, but since the issues are getting more serious (and over apparently trivial issues) Geet wants to try and solve this.
So, Geet comes up with a probable solution whereby Geet and Mann will start to show a fight between them, something that will scare the others. In the meantime, they will also reverse positions, whereby the girls will work in the office and the boys will try and run the house, and there are numerous challenges in this strategy. Also, both Geet and Mann cannot really show togetherness too much, since then the others could get suspicious.

Hindi TV Serial - Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani - Misha getting bitten by Haseena

The serial has suddenly taken on a much more serious turn. For the last several episodes, they have been showing how Haseena has suddenly developed an intense desire for human blood, and as a result, her fellow vampires have been wondering at how dangerous she has actually become (since the vampires do not want to call attention to themselves by suddenly having a number of humans starting to appear dead with puncture wounds on their necks).
So, there has been a need to get Haseena out of the picture, and Abhay, as the leader of the vampires, agrees to this. Chand is very angry at this, but Abhay tells him that they will have a solution before it comes to killing off Haseena. Haseena in the meantime is under the influence of some mysterioous lady who wears a hood.
The situation gets even more deadly at the local festival. There, Kabir wants to make his love pitch to Misha, and so sends her a note to meet her outside. When Misha goes outside, before she can make it, Haseena appears on the scene and finding Misha alone over there, she sinks her fangs into Misha's neck, but before Misha can die, Abhay appears on the scene and tries to save Misha by using his own bite.
However, soon after, Kabir and the others arrive at the scene and see Misha lying almost dead, and Abhay very close by. Suspicion falls on Abhay, with Kabir and Arnab questioning him, and Jai trying to get Abhay into more trouble. Piya is also very suspicious about what has happened; Abhay manages to get out of the situation by claiming that she was bitten by a snake and he was trying to help her.

Hindi TV Serial - Ballika Vadhu - Gauri pregnant, due to circumstances, now at the Haveli

A strange twist of circumstances brings Gauri back to the Haveli. She is at a rural camp (a mandatory practice where young doctors are sent off to rural areas), and this is pretty close to Jetsar. Over there, Gauri encounters Phooli, who refused to be examined by Gauri, which embarrasses Gauri in front of her colleagues, and she is not able to explain the reason. She takes her frustration out on Anandi, blaming her for all the reactions that she is getting.
Soon after, Gauri comes to the haveli to follow Anandi and continue to yell at her. In the meantime, Anandi has sent off the fresh transfer of money to Jagya's account (something that Gauri does not know about) and sent off a confirmation SMS to Jagya.
Gauri somehow sees the message and is angry, since she believes that Anandi is sending the money in order to try and come between Gauri and Jagya. When she mentions this in the haveli, they tell her the truth about how Anandi sends money to Jagya on a regular basis for his expenses, and that as usual, Gauri has got the facts of the situation wrong. At this, Gauri faints.
When the doctor comes, he announces that Gauri is pregnant, at which Gauri, and the rest of the family is also shocked. Anandi is very shocked, since in the past, she would expected that she would have had Jagya's child. When Jagya gets to know (from Anandi), he is very happy. He also considers that this will change Gauri's priorities, and also ensure that this dadisa will be very happy. However, this reaction does not come in the way he expects, and things are going on in the same way as before.

Navya - After tension, finally a decision for the marriage between Navya and Anant

The serial is showing tension between the families. For some time now, as the relationship between Anant and Navya blossomed, their families were not aware. Both live in conservative families, with Anant's family being very conservative, not so easily ready to consider that their son could have found somebody on his own, that too from a family which does not match their own financial position and status. On the other hand, Navya's family is conservative, but also feels for the happiness of Navya; so when they get to know about this relationship, her father Deepak decides to try and meet Anant's family in order to talk about the future of the relationship. This something that is very difficult in Anant's family, but eventually, when Deepak does call Anant's father, Om, Om decides to meet Deepak.
However, when Deepak reaches their house, he is made known that the relationship is not possible, that such a match cannot happen. He is hurt but more so when Anant's grandmom makes comments on the morals of their house and of their daughter in terms of how could she try to get into a relationship. He comes back from there very disappointed.
When Anant finds out, he is very angry. He confronts his father, gets slapped by him, and then decides to leave the house. His father does not try to stop him, but when the all powerful grandfather gets to know, he tries to make some amends. He knows that Anant also has hot blood, and if they want to ensure that Anant comes back to the family, maybe agreeing to the marriage is the best solution. So, now the families have agreed to the marriage, but there will be more hurdles on the way.

Hindi TV Serial - Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani - Haseena getting into a dangerous mode, bites and kills T

The serial has been moving a bit slowly for the past several weeks (the confrontation between Jay and Abhay has not happened except for some verbal dialogues). In addition, Chand has told Abhay to focus on Alina, since she seems to be the weak element of the werewolf family, and Abhay has decided to follow this. Alina also got a makeover from the others such as Piya and Misha, and looks much better with a new look. Abhay is now spending far more time with Alina, and Piya knows the reason, but she does get jealous from time to time. Jay of course does not like that Abhay is spending so much with Alina, and considers Alina to be totally useless in terms of helping the werewolf family beat the vampires.
The other major twist in the story is about the change in Haseena. Recently, there have been several cases of humans being attacked and killed, and the culprit seems to be a vampire, and after some detection, it is found that Haseena is doing this. Haseena explains to Abhay that she is getting an uncontrollable urge for human blood, and it is difficult to stop this. She even attacks Chand once. As a part of these attacks, she apparently attacks and kills T, which would mean that this would be the end of the road for T's character. Haseena also tells Abhay that the only thing that can save her is a serum which can be provided by Alina.
However, this is still not clear as to what is happening to T's character, since after her death, T calls Misha, who is shocked to hear the voice of T, who is presumed to be dead. So Misha goes off to T's house to determine the truth.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hai - Priya sorts out the issues between Ram and Vikram

Finally they show Priya taking some more action. So far, they have shown her to be feisty, not willing to take any scolding or argument from Ram wherever Ram has suddenly grown angry. In addition, she has taken action wherever she has felt the need, even when it may be something over which Ram may not have been very happy. So, when the dispute between Ram and Vikram happens, she tries to sort some things out by going to Vikram's house, but Vikram's wife is really angry over what has happened, and does even let Priya enter the house, instead subjecting her to a lot of scolding. This does not deter Priya in any way, and she decides to get some more advice, by talking to her dad. He gives her some advice, and which seems to her to be the best way. Ram on the other hand is very upset over what has happened with regard to the necklace and with Vikram, and does not approve of any actions she takes.
And then she notices something; she discovers that there is a camera in the basement; and remembers that the camera screen was shut when the party was going on. And then she notices Siddharth behaving a bit strangely, and she follows him (and he is of course stupid, not suspecting anything); and finds that he was just re-checking that the necklace is still there where he has left it. She makes a plan to ensure that things get well between Ram and vikram, and Siddharth is also exposed.
So, Vikram comes to the house and confesses that he later found the necklace in his car and he has got it back. This confuses the others in the house, and Siddharth is sent to re-check. At this time, Priya takes everybody to the camera room, where they can see through the camera in the basement, and it is pretty clear that Siddharth always knew where the necklace is. This ensures that Ram's anger is directed at Siddharth and things work out between Ram and Vikram.

Hindi TV Serial - Saas Bin Sasural - Toasty and Malti to try and resolve some tensions

The show keeps on getting in a mode where there is tension between the brothers, and then time is spent in trying to resolving such issues. One major issue was resolved where Malti was brought into the house by resolving the tension between her and Pashu, and objections of others was resolved to some degree (although Ved still projects a great deal of hostility and tension). However, Toasty was also trying to resolve this by ensuring that Malti was in a position to do everything in the house and replacing the prominent position of Toasty.
Things seem to be getting worse in terms of tension between the brothers. Pashu objects to the pressure on Malti, stating that people forget that the same pressure was there on Toasty when she came in, and she had to face the same kind of pressures and problems, and was able to deal with them. However, Tej objects to the name of Toasty being brought in, and the tension between Pashu and Tej increases.
This becomes much more significant when there is an issue relating to the shop. There is an amount of stock of the sarees getting spoiled because of rain, and the vendor who supplied the sarees shows dissatisfaction about the business practices being followed. Pashu gets very angry at what has happened, and takes his anger out at Tej in front of all the customers. Tej is very angry at this, and goes off to this inlaws house to talk to Toasty about this. Toasty's mother overhears about this, and is concerned even though her husband states that this is their internal matter and the parents should not be involved in this.

Hindi TV Serial - Adalat / CID - Ensuring that there is always denial of the paranormal

Sony has a range of crime based serials that occur over the weekends. These can be pretty interesting for the viewers, although some of them seem comical for other viewers. A combination of Adalat, CID, and Crime Reporter all cover crime, with the first 2 being more about fiction, and the Crime Reporter being a dramatized version of real life events that are pretty horrible.
One fact that comes out in all the serials relates to the fact that even though they cover many different types of crime, all of them avoid in any way anything that justifies the paranormal or the concept of ghosts or spirits.
CID has taken many episodes where the scene is such that people believe that a murder has been committed by the spirits, and always, the officials in the serial refuse to believe that there are any kind of ghosts or spirits that exist. It's only Freddy who is shown as being afraid of ghosts or spirits. Even Freddie however takes part in these cases. So you can have these investigators running after ghosts in deserted buildings, or chasing a ghost in an old haveli, or many other such situations.
In many cases, the scene is such that there seems to be an obvious ghost in the scenario, yet they manage to do the investigation, and find that out that actually this is being done by somebody for a specific motive, and are able to break the chain and find out what really happened. The same thing happens in Adalat where people claim to use black magic or other similar items, and eventually KD discovers the reality and shows that there is no magic, no ghosts, and others.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hai - Ram has a falling out with Vikram over the theft of a necklace

The serial started out with some light hearted behavior, but as the 2 new brides move into their new houses, things will get more complicated. Priya has started expressing her opinions to Ram, and this raises sparks often enough since Ram has got used to the idea of being able to do what he wants, without anybody interfering with him. So, the concept of somebody moving into his house and telling him what to do can complicate things enough. Also, when he yells at her, she does not take this lightly and replies back to him in the same tone, increasing the discomfort he feels.
Things get more complicated when an antique necklace is brought home so that it can be presented to the new daughter-in-law of the house. However, Ram's stepmother cannot stand the concept of this huge necklace going to that girl from the small household, and wants the necklace for Siddharth's wife, whenever she comes to the house.
So they plan a trick whereby they will steal the necklace, and in such a way that no suspicion will come on them. So, Siddharth convinces Vikram to take the necklace from the safe for safe-keeping (and all this is dutifully recorded by the CCTV camera). Soon after, her brother picks the pocket of Vikram and takes the necklace and turns it over to Siddharth and his mother. When it is found that the necklace is missing, the footage of the CCTV is shown and Vikram is seen to be taking the necklace. As a result, Ram has an uncomfortable discussion with Vikram where Vikram gets the concept that he is being accused of stealing the necklace, and when he points out that Siddharth told him to do so, he is shocked when Siddharth denies it. As a result, Vikram eventually leaves, and then decides to quit the company as well.

Hindi TV Serial - Pavitra Rishta - Varsha going into a psychotic mode, pining for Soham

Things are getting tricky for various characters in the serial. The relations that were proper between the various members of the serial (except for the set of Manju, Vinod, Ajit and Rasika) has always been cordial, and Maanav, with his success is a great supported of everybody else. However, Savita is always the tricky one, since she was susceptible to being provoked. Rasika decided to use this personality twist in order to turn Savita against her own daughter-in-law Archana, and she seems to be succeeding in this attempt.
In the midst of all this, since Varsha is not able to bear a child, her quest for attaining Soham is incredible. She kidnaps Soham from Maanav's house, and even when she is found out, she is really not apologetic. Soon, her mental condition becomes worse and she even starts believing that Archana has handed over Soham to her. Sathish is very shocked at this transformation in Varsha; Maanav on the other hand starts getting very protective of his child and refuses to let Archana go near Varsha with Soham. When Archana tries to push, he gets very angry at Archana and issues between them become bad for some time.
On the other hand, Savita wants to take revenge on Archana and so encourages Shravani to take back Sachin and also that Archana should give Soham to Varsha; as a result, Archana will not have any of her children with her and this will be the just reward to her for whatever she has been doing wrong.
Varsha gets even more psychotic, attacking her own mother-in-law with a glass bottle, and is now shown to a doctor for analysis. The doctor diagnoses her as having a mental problem that will get worse unless things are rectified.

Hindi TV Serial - Saas Bin Sasural - Toasty trying to help Malti integrate into the house

Toasty is being shown in the serial as the lady who managed to make her mark in the male only house (enough though she faced a lot of barriers in the beginning). Now, she is the on whom the while household depends on.
She also managed to resolve some other matters in the house, the most remarkable being the relationship that the house had with its elder daughter-in-law, Malthi. She had left the house after being instigated by her mother, and the separation had been traumatic, with the house people being accused of tormenting their daughter-in-law. One of her brother-in-laws, Ved, was condemned as somebody who was casting evil eyes on his bhabhi, something that he remembers now and is very deeply stressed over.
Toasty is able to get most of the problems between Malthi, Pashu, and the others in the house resolved. She is able to get even Pitaji agreeable to bring Malti back (although there are a couple of times that she has to face criticism from the people over all this). Now that Malti bhabhi is back in the house, the next step is to ensure that she is accepted by everybody in the house. The problem now is that everybody is dependent on Toasty for everything, such as food, clothes, and everything else. In such a situation, Malthi feels a bit left out (and Ved is still hostile at her).
Toasty makes a lot of effort to ensure that the people in the house have to deal with Malthi, including leaving the house for some time to ensure that Malti gets a free run and everybody learns that she can easily take the place of Toasty and so that they can become dependent on her. So far this is working out.

Hindi TV Serial - Geet - Marriage between Dev and Nandini happens

The serial has got into a bit of a strange pattern for the last few episodes. The pattern of the serial was that there would be some major issue, and then it would start getting resolved through some planning and cunning. However, after the issue of Nayantara got resolved with her getting exposed and taken away by the police, things are at a slow level. Maybe the news that the serial may be coming to an end is causing this change in pattern of the serial.
Now, Mann still has not recovered his memory, but has otherwise reconciled to the marriage with Geet and does a repeat of the ceremony with him taking the marriage oaths again. He is also more mellow now (does not get into a rage fast enough).
The romance between Dev and Nandini is flowing fast through the serial. For now, the crimes that Dev has committed in the past seem to have been forgotten (including everything he did against Geet); he is madly in love with Nandini but has not get confirmation from her. From her behavior, it seems that she is also fond of Dev. Dev takes a dress to her and tells her that if she feels the same way, she would take the dress and he finds that she does indeed reciprocate his feelings.
They desire a marriage to happen quickly between them, and so a marriage is planned without telling a number of people, although Geet and Adi are heavily involved in the marriage planning. Mann goes along with this plan after some initial resistance, but does put in a check. He states that even though the marriage has happened, until the parents have also agreed, the marriage cannot be consummated.

Hindi TV Serial - Pavitra Rishta - Varsha apparently kidnapping Soham

2 major events have been happening in the serial. One is a ongoing divide between Savita and Archana. Over a period of time, Archana had managed to bring herself back into the good books of Savita through multiple efforts, and because of her basic goodness. However, there was always something in Savita's nature which made her liable for being manipulated by others; and in this case, Rasika decided to try and turn Savita against her own family members by using money as an instrument. Rasika was very angry over what she perceived as Savita's arrogance after Manav became successful, and decided that she would try and see that Savita lost everything. So, she starts poisoning the mind of Savita against Archana (using the presence of Sulochana in the house - Sulochana had been turned out by Manjusha, and after being out for some time, she was taken by Manav and Archana back to their house).
Due to some situations, Savita becomes convinced that Archana was trying to take money away from Manav and even give some of this to Sulochana, and hence starts to become negative towards Archana and Sulochana (and the sisters of Archana). This increases when there is a situation where Manav was going to give money for Ajit's business and for an apartment; and then Archana refuses to give the money since she hears that Ajit was going to misuse the money.
On the other front, things get more tricky when Varsha is shown as kidnapping Soham from the house, and taking him away when Archana is briefly not in the house. The police are called and call all the family members (angering many of them), but so far they are not able to determine who has taken Soham; but Savita has her doubts about Varsha.

Hindi TV Serial - Parichay - A serial about a person who seems to have lost a lot in life

The serial promises to be an interesting serial. The serial was promoted for long on Sony before it actually started on the 9th of August, and is made by Ekta Kapoor (Balaji Telefilms). It gives a great role to Samir Soni, bringing him back to television. The serial portrays the life of a man who was doing well sometime in life, but who now sits at home, and is now seen as a failure in life. Sameer Soni plays the role of Kunal Chopra, who was once a successful lawyer, and had a relationship with Richa (who was the daughter of Thakral, with whom Kunal has an adversarial relationship). After all the failures he suffers, Kunal no longer has the enthusiasm to do anything and sits at home; with his brothers and father blaming him for not recovering after the failures and not doing any kind of job.
Right now, the story is revolving around the impending marriage of Anand (Kunal's brother) and Siddhi, who is a strong minded girl and who seems to have a conflicting relationship with Kunal. She has Thakral as a boss, and Thakral has been invited for the functions, and the relationship between the Chopras and Thakral is even more strained because very recently the daughter of the house, Raveena was caught in a car with the son of Thakral, and the police was involved as well. Thakral also taunts the family to some extent.

Hindi TV Serial - Uttaran - The news that Tapu cannot become a mother again

The serial keeps on showing a lot of twists and turns. At some point, the serial showed how Jogi Thakur was very angry with Tapasya (and no doubt, given all that she had done based on her impulsiveness and selfish nature), and had broken off relations. Even her mother felt very bad for what all she had done, but both of them finally decided to forgive her and so Tapasya comes back to the house to visit them, and they make up. Similarly, they both know that Nani was the one who was primarily responsible for the mis-education of Tapu, and Nani and Divya part on bitter terms, but then Jogi admonishes Divya for having turned Nani out and so Nani is back in the house. It comes a bit embarrassing when Rathod and Tapu come there, and so does Mai (Veer's mother) and they run into each other.
However, Rathod rescues the situation by asking for blessings from Mai, and prods Mai to give blessings to Tapu as well, and also encourages Tapu to take blessings from Mai. Mai does so in a manner which shows that she is doing so reluctantly (after all, how can she forgive what Tapu did) and she departs from there, also without talking to Nani (just folding hands).
On the other hand, there is some bad news for Tapu, since Nani has seen Tapu's medical reports and tells Divya that Tapu cannot become a mother again (and like most serials, this is said in the open without checking whether Tapu is there), Tapu hears and is heartbroken.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hai - Ram off to the US, while trouble only increasing for Karthik

The serial so far has remained away from serious stuff, but one can expect that things will continue to get more serious. So far the focus has been on the coming together of Ram and Priya in a sort of forced marriage, and also the love marriage of Karthik and Natasha, where the 2 of them are very different people. The serial is making an effort to show that one marriage will move slowly closer together while the other marriage will get into more difficult territory.
Very soon after the marriage of Ram and Priya, Ram finds that the deal in US for his younger sister (Natasha) is coming awry, since his own family member did not go there for getting the deal done. So, on the day after his marriage, he rushes off to the US after making a speech about how important the marriage is; while Natasha comes home from the honeymoon (by telling Karthick that she wants to be there for the ceremonies, while actually she only wants to be there for the party that her friends would be wanting to attend).
So, while Priya is alone at home, coming to terms with a huge house where there are servants at the beck and call, and there are a large number of options for everything (and it is not expected that she needs to do anything at all herself); Natasha has got her friends over for a party to the tune of sniggers, since there are no drinks, in fact nothing like a party that would be expected from the likes of Natasha Kapoor. And then the neighbors come to complain about the noise and the late hour and the party needs to come to an end. Natasha is embarrassed in front of her friends and her inlaws are angry at what has happened.
Ram calls home to find out a data card for some information, and this leads to a humourous situation where Priya is looking in his jockeys, both get thoroughly embarrassed.

Hindi TV Serial - Pratigya - Sajjan Singh finally marries Ganga and brings her home

So the wily thakur finally does what he had wanted for some time. Ever since Sajjan Singh had got Ganga to the residence from her father (instead of the debts that he was owed), everybody in the family was somewhat unsure of his intentions. Amma was noticeably disturbed and tried her best to keep Sajjan Singh away from Ganga, and also otherwise ill-treated Ganga, scolding her and berating here wherever possible.
It was when Sajjan Singh came back after being kidnapped that he finally announced that he would marry Ganga and make her his second wife. This led to a huge upheaval in the house; Amma was shocked and planned with shakti to take away Ganga in the dead of night and leave her at her house; Komal told her father that he better not do anything that would embarrass the family and that he should not be thinking of marrying now that he had grand-children. Krishna and Pratigya also opposed this, and all this was making Sajjan get angry and start working out a plan. When Pratigya scared away the pandit who was supposed to be doing the marriage by claiming that he would assist in something illegal, it seemed over. And then Sajjan told everybody that he had understood, and that he would send Ganga back to her family - this finally made everybody relieved. However, Sajjan had other plans; he took Ganga out and got married to her and then brought her back.
So, now Ganga is in the house and nobody is happy. And Ganga has come back with a strong attitude, telling everybody that she is the younger thakurain of the house and everybody has to listen to her. She even tells Piyasiya to leave when she does not listen to Ganga, and Sajjan Singh backs her up.

Hindi TV Serial - Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani - Piya with a doctor, trying to get her memories back

The situation is very complex. Neil has been killed, and Abhay now knows that Chand and Haseena have killed him. When he confronts them, they tell him that he did not stop them from killing Neel, only from killing Dipannita. There is a confrontation between them where both of them tell him that they do not really trust him to take the right decision for the vampires, and when he states that he wants to give up being the leader of the clan, they are fine with that decision and tell him that this is the right decision (since he cannot think properly, being always concerned about Piya).
Arnav had seen the body of Neel, and seen bite marks on the neck, and after consulting books and all, realizes that these are vampire bite marks, and that this means that vampires are indeed there in the Dehra Doon area. He tells Jay that the vampires were behind the death of Neel, and that the police should be informed. Jay thinks about this, but then thinks that maybe this will cause the police to chase Abhay, and this is what he wants, and so the police come to Abhay. Abhay turns them out, accusing them of not having done any investigation on their own, and only when they have some proof should they come.
Piya has gone to meet a doctor in order to try and get some of her memory back, and slowly gets taken back to the time when she met Abhay, and then recalls the episode where she met Mythili, and Mythili was threatening her and Abhay and this causes her to become almost in a fit like condition. Abhay realizes this and rushes towards her, and by then the doctor has realized that she has committed a mistake. Now Abhay thinks of giving back her memory.

Hindi TV Serial - Maryada Lekin Kab Tak - Vidya in hospital after being shot by Brahmanand

The serial is turning to be full of confrontation nowadays. And it has taken on something that is pretty controversial in the Indian context, the concept of a homosexual relationship. For a movie like Dostana to show a homosexual relationship is something else, especially when it gets shown in multiplexes and is set in the US, but for a serial such as Maryada, which is set in the Indian small town context, in a conservative society, is something else altogether.
The minister RD has yet to get over the shock of what she had learnt. She was inquisitive, and wanted to find out what was going on in the marriage of the son of the police officer Brahmanand, and slowly finds out more. She learns that there is no close relationship in the marriage between Vidya and Gaurav, and then learns that Gaurav is actually interested in men, not in his wife. She of course wants to use this a power over the police officer, and tells him about this. Brahmanand is very angry over this and comes into confront his son, and in the battle Vidya gets shot and is taken to the hospital. However, RD has to also suffer since on the other side of the homosexual relationship is her own son, Karan. Karan gets very angry with her and tells her that she has to correct items, and needs to tell Brahma that what she told him was not true. She is still shocked at what her son is upto.
On the other hand, Bramha is facing more issues. His wife knows that Brahma has started having an affair with her own sister Uttara, and the relationship between them has deteriorated. She has also learnt that Brahma had made an attempt on the modesty of his own future daughter-in-law.

Hindi TV Serial - Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani - Confrontation between the families and people involved

The serial is moving towards another escalation point. The proceeding are moving away from the clan of werewolves. First Dipannita was trapped by Abhay and jailed, and then removed from the jail by the whole group of vampires who take her away in order to kill her. It is Jay along with Neel who kidnaps Piya (since they know how Abhay feels towards her) in order to force Abhay to release Dipannita. And Abhay does so, even though Chand and Haseena feel otherwise. Further, Jay forces Abhay to remove his mother from the accused tag, and Abhay presents himself to the police as the actual murderer. In the meantime, Misha and Panchi find out about the kidnapping of Piya, and know that Neel was behind all this, and along with Danish, manage to go and rescue Piya from Neel (and Piya then goes to the police station and gets Abhay out of there).
Jay is very angry at Alina for whatever she has done to help Piya, and attacks her, but Alina, using a previously unknown power, gets lighting to attack the werewolf (Jay in his animal form). Panchi's parents get to know everything about Neel and decide to break the engagement so that Panchi is liberated from such an engagement.
Jay, for some reason, tells Neel to leave from there so that he is safe from danger. it could be that Neel does not have the powers that others in his family have. However, soon after Neel leaves from there, the Dobriyals find his dead body in the road and are shocked (even more so since they are going to his house to break the engagement). The precap shows that it was Chand and Hasina who killed Neel.

Hindi TV Serial - Uttaran - The coming together of Veer and Ichcha again at the airport

For some time now, the serial has been showing a separation between Veer and Ichcha; Veer has got very despondent about whatever has happened and feels that he has totally failed Ichcha, and when his attempts to meet or find out about Ichcha do not work, he decides that he has to leave for the United States to leave everything behind. His assistant also tries to persuade him to stay, but he has decided and takes leave of everyone from the house. Further, when Damini tried to call him earlier to inform him about Ichcha's pregnancy, she got the impression that Veer did not really seem interested, and then decides that they should not try to contact him again.
On the other hand, Jogi has also been looking for them, and finally sees Ichcha at the doctor's house where she has gone for some consultation regarding her pregnancy. Jogi meets Ichcha, is very excited to know that she is pregnant, and tells her that Veer has met Jogi often, always apologizing for having let Ichcha down, and is now going to leave for the US (leaving everything behind). Ichcha is shocked to learn about this and rushes to the airport with Jogi and Ammu, and in a scene from the movies, they finally call out for each other and meet at the airport (and decide that they want to be together again). Veer decides that he will take Ichcha back to the house.
On the other hand, Nani wants to try her tactics in Rathod's house, but one is not sure whether all that will work or not, since Rathod is different from Jogi.

Hindi TV Serial - Bade Acche Lagte Hai - The marriage between Ram Kapur and Priya finally happens

For some time now, the track of the events leading to the wedding has been ongoing, and it's going to be a double wedding, with first the wedding of Karthik and Natasha happening, and later the wedding of Ram and Priya going to happen. Just after the wedding of Karthik and Natasha, it became clear that everybody will have problems later with Natasha, since she became adamant that they will need to leave for their honeymoon right now (since her friends have gifted her an expensive honeymoon, else they will lose their flight tickets), while Karthik is flabbergasted at how she could think that they will go for their honeymoon and Karthik will not attend the wedding of his elder sister. Ram is also very shocked by the fact that his younger sister could not care to attend his wedding; but as the situation starts to turn ugly, Priya gets in and convinces Karthik that he should leave for his honeymoon. At the honeymoon hotel, Natasha develops an allergy to a face pack and is advised by Karthik that this was a punishment to her for her bad behavior at the marriage.
Now, the marriage between Ram and Priya runs into a small hitch when the vehicle carrying Priya develops a problem, and then at the marriage location, the earlier marriage has not yet concluded, so they need to wait a bit more. However, finally the marriage happens with all the drama happening when she leaves her parents and goes away with Ram Kapoor.
Because of the muhurat time being set for the next morning, they need to spend time in a hotel room, which gets embarrassing when their close friends Vikram and Neha decorate the room with flowers, exactly of the type that would suit a honeymoon suite, and make plenty of comments about the marriage night before they leave. Vikram gets called to the office where he learns that Ram's brother Sid is cheating him, and he has to do something soon.

Hindi TV Serial - Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani - Dipannita in jail and in danger

For some time now, there serial has been showing a deep conflict between the two families, the Khuranas (werewolves) and the Raichands (vampires), with the concept being that vampires and werewolves being traditional and historic enemies who cannot stand to see each other. By now, the Raichands are also aware that it is the Khuranas who are the werewolves, and the real danger to them. Both of them use another rich family, the Dobriyals, as their pawns (and the Dobriyals are always confused with what is going on, since they cannot make out what is happening - even though individually they suspect what is happening; so Arnav saw that Haseena does not have a reflection in the mirror and is now pretty sure that she is a vampire; then Piya saw Abhay drive a wooden stake into Dipannita in the jungle, but later Dipannita was alive and well).
The rivalry is getting more intense, with Dipannita attempting to kill Chand and Haseena in the jungle, after which Abhay tries to kill dipannita with a wooden stake, but she is saved by her children (although they have to give up any chances to resurrect their older brother gaurav, for which Dipannita is very angry). The business rivalry also intensifies, with both of them attempting to spy into each other's offices and see what is happening.
One of this spying is the next attempt by Dipannita, when one of her office employees is hired by Haseena; Dipannita goes to the employees house when no one else is there and kills the employee, blaming Haseena for the murder, and the police arrest Haseena. However, Abhay turns the tables on dipannita by getting a girl to claim that she knows that Dipannita is the killer, and when Dipannita attacks the girl, by trying to kill the girl. Abhay saves her, and then the police arrest Dipannita for the murder.

Hindi TV Serial - Pratigya - Sajjan Singh back, takes revenge on those who assisted in his kidnapping

The serial is going through the aftermath of the kidnapping issue. Soon after Krishna kidnapped Sunheri (the daughter of the kidnapper), things started getting more complex. The kidnapper (along with Amma's brother (who was also involved in the kidnapping)) got very angry when his daughter was kidnapped, and threatened Sankat Singh (Amma's brother) with harm, unless his daughter was released. Shakthi also tried to do the same thing, since he was eyeing the money earlier (and hence was threatened by Sankat Singh to make sure that he followed the lead of Sankat Singh. However, Krishna refused to listen to anything and was in a ferocious state. Even when Pratigya told him that he was doing wrong, he refused to listen, and told Pratigya to not interfere.
However, over a period of time, Krishna got mollified, and finally agreed to release Sunheri - he dropped her off at her house soon after (although Amma kept protesting at this). Once this happened, the release of Sajjan Singh got much easier, and he soon headed off to home, to the happiness of everyone involved. However, in the time that he was kidnapped, he did hear the distinctive ringtone of his brother-in-law (Amma's brother) and decided that he would take his revenge later.
So, when Sajjan came back, he was internally furious, threatening that he would take revenge on everybody who was involved in the kidnapping, and he decided that his brother-in-law would have to pay for whatever he did. So, he gifted a new jeep, but had removed the brakes of the jeep, and when the jeep had an accident, the brother-in-law got severely injured in the legs.

Hindi TV Serial - Sasural Simar Ka - Story of a girl who is fond of dance and the impact of this

This story seems somewhat unbelievable. You can have stories in the movies about how children can defy their parents, but somehow, when you see the setting of this serial, it can be difficult to believe. The story is about a girl called Simar from a traditional small town family. Her father is the decision maker in the house, and it is impossible for anybody in the house to defy him (to the extent that when the father locks the TV when he goes out, nobody can oppose him). One of his daughter is called Simar, and she is respectful of her father, and at the same time, is very fond of dancing. But, given the values of the family, it is impossible for her to do anything more than think of dancing. So, how do they show a whole system whereby she first goes to a dance competition when she knows that it is not possible, especially when this is the day when people are coming to see her.
Then, after some adventures, her fiancee gets to know, but forgives her with a condition that she does not dance again; yet, she gets blackmailed again to go for the final dance contest, again on a day that is extremely important - the day when she is to get married. She tries to time it (with the support of her sister, a neighbor and her bua; impossible to believe that all of these people believe that they can get away with it - and that too with the competition coming on national TV).
She does get to the competition, but is not able to come in town quickly enough that the obvious happens, her sister Roli gets married instead of her (although people cannot make out that the marriage is of Roli, and not Simar); so now it is Roli who is married but Simar is the one who is supposed to be the one to marry. And now Prem (her husband) learnt that Simar was dancing on the day of her marriage, and is furious. How will Simar explain herself ?

Hindi TV Serial - Geet - Drama in the house, Mann forgets his memory, and Nayantara upto all sorts of trouble

Geet is going through a lot of drama in the serial, both outside and inside the serial. So, outside the serial, there was a lot of drama about whether the serial will end in October, or whether the serial will continue in a twist where both Mann and Geet with die and then be reincarnated. Well, that seems to be over now, with the serial coming to an end in October (the serial seems to be taking a different sort of branding in the future).
Inside the serial, the serial has a lot of drama. In the clash with Dev's mother, Mann was hit hard on the head, because of which he lost his memory for around 1 year, and as a result, he forgot Geet, as well as whatever Nayantara had done. So, Geet is in the house, but is introduced as somebody else who would be helping him.
Now that Mann is back, he soon gets irritated with Geet, especially since he cannot understand why Geet is everywhere; and then learns that Geet is his wife. This causes him a shock, but does not lessen his level of irritation. This keeps on happening, till the time that he actually accuses her of behaving very improperly in terms of business; and soon after, learns that actually things were not so; Geet was the one who actually helped in ensuring that important clients were looked after.
Nayanatara is also out of her coma, and back to her wrong ways; she also does not really like the idea of Nandini being there in Dev's life and eventually kidnaps Nandini, and tells Geet that Geet needs to gets Mann's signature on everything, else a lot of harm will come to Nandini. The stage is set of a massive confrontation.
